Group call crashes

It's been so long since I experienced this problem,
Everytime I join a group call it would just crash and turn off.
And when I try to rejoin and click "join call" it would basically turn off everytime.
The one initiating the call would share her screen with us, so we can talk about it and stuff.
There's about 4 people in the group call, which is not much.
But I really want to know why it isn't working.
Because when I ask the others, they would always respond that the call worked perfectly,
And I would always be the one experiencing this problem.
I've tried logging out, and signing back in, restart the computer, even reinstall it.
I tried using my account on a different computers as well but it never workd.
I would update Skype everytime there is a new update.
So currently, it is on the very recent update.
Please help.

Are you using the latest Skype 7.2 for Windows? Is there video active (e.g. either yourself or another participant sending video) in this group call? Can you perform 1-on-1 video calls?

Skype 7.7 crashes when I try to start a group call (Windows 10)

The problem started when Skype updated to 7.7. I can login, chat, but when I start a group call, it instantly stops working and crashes. Didn't tested if this was happening on private call though, but it's still an issue. Here's the DXdiag log: ---------------

Skype Group Call Audio History

Hello people of the skype forums, I have searched the forums on "recovering Skype Group call Audio History" but to no avail, does skype even record the call(audio) histories? I had recorded some gaming footage with my friends and my screen+audio recorder crashed midway and I was wondering whether the audio we had on the skype call can be recovered?
Also, I've found "skypelogviewer" and apparently it doesn't support mac. Does skype log viewer enable users to access call audio files?
I appreciate any assistance in advance.

Skype Group Call.

Everytime i try and enter a skype group call on my Kindle Fire HD 8.9 The whole app just crashes. Ive noticed this problem once ive recently updated skype on my Kindle Fire HD 8.9. Does anyone know the problem or a solution to it?

Only my skype dropping constantly in group call

Hello I have actually been experiencing this problem for a while now, but decided it wasnt too big of a problem. It eventually became really irritating for me, because every time my skype dropped I would have to close and restart my skype. This problem occurs usually every 30-40 minutes into a group call, and it only happens to me. I am pretty sure it is not my ISP, because my programs that require internet are running perfectly fine while the call drops..
Do you guys have any idea what could be causing this?

Have you monitored your connection in Skype and the taskbar when it drops? The issue may be related to your router and it running out of resources after a set period of time so it drops the session. If you are going wireless you could try wired. You could also try temporarily bypassing your router and connecting directly to your modem if that option exists. It could also be related to your drivers or some memory resident software generating some type of crash. If so you might have any errors listed in Window Event Viewer. You could try updating your audio/video/network drivers to see if anything changes.

Left a group call, messeges won't remove

So, my old harddrive crashed, and now that I'm using a new one and using skype again and there was a group call that I was in that I left, only now it is saying that there are messages that haven't been read yet. It won't allow me to mark it as read, or click on it. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it, and I can't find it on my C Drive, so I can't clear my contacts and reload skype...How can I clear this? Its rather annoying.

Can you confirm you are using version 6.21 ? You can check your version in the menu "Help -> About". This problem should have been gone already with the latest Skype release.

Skype does not want to join group calls at all.

Hello.I recently got this very unusual problem with Skype. While I was talking in a group conversation, my internet bugged out, and as a result, of course, it kicked me out of the call. Afterwards, the internet started working just fine, but now it doesn't even let me call anyone, and I can't join group chats. When I call someone, it says that they were not called, or when I try to join a group call, it just stays silent for a couple of seconds, and kicks me out. My friends on the other side of the call say that I'm just ringing, but not joining the call.I have reinstalled Skype at least 5 times, restarted my computer, deleted Skype and reinstalled it yet again, and even got an error 3-4 times saying that the installation could not compelte correctly.I don't have a clue what the problem could be. And my headphones work just fine, so it can't be that. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah i'm with you there. plus, haven't you seen the new skype in web browser now. Its in a beta right now and probably going to be legit. First of all, Fix your program first. We don't need more pieces of useless **bleep** for skype. We just need it fixed. so stop sitting with your thumbs up your ass and actually make your program not a piece of **bleep**. Before skype was amazing bit now, like everything else microsoft has made, it went down fast. So please do us and yourself a favor fixed this bug already.

Can't use camera in group call.

I am unable to use my camera while in a group call. The camera works, but whenever i try to turn it on through the call quality tab it says that there are too many people in the call/conversation. Even though there are only three to four people active in the call it won't let me activate the camera. Other people in the call can use theirs so i don't know what the problem is.

I figured out the issue... they changed the way Group Calls are limited.

Long story short, you can't do a video calling at all if the group has more than 10 people in it total (including you).
Also, you can't do voice calling in groups with more than 25 people.
Text chats are limited to 300 people (or so I've been told by Skype employees). I've been in a chat with over 100 participants though so I know it goes that high at least.

I can't send or recieve messages in group calls

So I've got this problem recently, and it shows me in group chats "Instant messaging isn't currently available...."(the message is longer). I cannot send messages and i can't recieve them in group calls, but on private I can.
I have the latest skype version, I allowd skype to connect through my firewall and also I tried port forwarding, but no use. I logged out from my phone and from other devices where I'm logged in.
I tried solutions from other posts and none of them worked. Please help me with this!

I forgot to add that I also reinstalled my windows, and I think it also doesn't work on my phone. My friends who I'm talking to, don't have this problem, just me.

No Video For Group Calls

I have the latest version of Skype. The webcam I'm using is "LiveCam Sync HD" from Creative. It works fine with Skype on an individual call, but will not work with groups. What is the reason, and how can I correct it?

Sorry no solution - I have the same problem as you.
I have been trying to use video for a group call to 3 others. Calling each person individually they can see my video, but when we call as a group they cannot see my video but I can see theirs.
I am using a Dell Latitude (3 years old) with Windows 7. It was reimaged last week and downloaded latest skype - the problem has happened before the remiage so not this.
Hopefully someone has some ideas?

Error 0x80040707 - DLL function call crashed QTInstallCode

Installing QuickTime Stand-Alone QuickTimeInstaller.exe Version 7.0.4.0 I get the following error and QuickTime will not load or function:
Unhandled Exception
Error Number: 0x80040707 - DLL function call crashed: QTInstallCode.QuickTimePostInstallProc
Setup will now terminate.

I was able to solve this, but I had to uninstall all instances of iTunes, ipod and QuickTime, delete their directories, use http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/
to delete the installations of each and then use msconfig to remove them from the Startup.
After that I rebooted and did a new install with the QuickTime Stand Alone and it worked!

I want to invite 12 people to a birthday party. I have created a group called "Centerville Gang" I want to send just one message to all of these people. I would think there would be a way to select this group as the recipients once instead of doing 12 searches through my contacts to get all of the members in the group but I cant seem to figure it out. I must be missing something. Can you help?

Contact groups do not allow for group emailing. they are just an organizational tool for the contacts list.

Z10 group call log

Hi all,
is there any way to group call by name in Z10 call log/call history? With old BB, calls were grouped by name and was easy to see contact's call history; now, If a contact call me 10 times, I have 10 entry in my call log and, with a daily huge amount of calls it's annoying

How do I promote members of a group call?

I made a group call for some people running the server, but there are four people in particular I want to make better than everyone else. My friend said I can promote them to administrators, but I don't really know how.

I also need to know the answer to this question. Is it possible? If so, HOW?

Not letting me join group calls?

I cannot seem to join the group call. There is no option to join the call, and this is shared among all devices (ipad, laptop, and android phone). All applications are all up to date and have been redownloaded. The chat log registers that the "call as started" and had yet to have "ended" but there is no "join call option". The option sometimes appears after a long time if at all. The call leader must re-add me to the call for it to appear. There is then the problem of the calls randomly being dropped when the internet is fine. HELP!

One of the theories we had is that there might be someone in the call who is not your friend, so the privacy settings were kicking in and the call was dropping.
Could you check this please? Before the call, please make sure that all participants are in your contact list and have added you as a contact on their side also.
