Group Call Problem

Hello, for a while now we have been having problems with group calls. Anyone that tries to join our group call from an Xbox One can not join. They have to be on the skype app and accept from the notification to even have a shot at joining. Now that not the end of the problem, if a call has already been started and they try to join mid call they have no chance at joining. Also if they somehow succeed in joining the call they still can get randomly dropped from the call, thus being unable to join back. We have tried all of the solutions I have seen on this site, this includes adding everyone in the call, and making sure the host of the call has the most up to date skype version. I would apprecaite help on this topic as it has been really annoying to deal with. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I appreciate any help.

I should have mentioned I was able to connect with the guy individually on Skype, but couldn't get him in the group. He ended up getting blocked out of Skype for too many wrong log-ins, so we're hoping to go back in about 40 minutes and try again.

Group Call Problem (Can't join + more)

For a while now I have not been able to join a group call while it is going on. I would have to get the host of the call to reset, and call back so I could answer from the beginning.
As of recently (Problem started for me around 6/27/14) I am not able to join at the beginning of the call. Tonight I had the host restart the call, and instead of getting the popup notification for an incoming call, my skype application froze and force quit, bringing me back to the Xbox One menu.

We are experiencing a similar problem. We are unable to use the group chat or the group call function at the moment (and even person-to-person calls are unstable). Weare an experienced Skype user group and have regular conference calls on Skype, and we are stymied why the group call function does not seem to work. I ran the test (/get name), and our call is listed as being in the cloud (starting with "19"), so I don't know what the problem is. We'd appreciate if this problem was resolved as soon as possible. So I was in a group today and hanged up, I come back and now I can't hear anyone. when I make one on one calls I can hear people. I don't understand whats going on I need help

Hi,
Did you meet any other call delay when you using Lync?
As the issue happen for Lync desktop client, it can be performance issue. Please check if there is any error message from FE Server when the issue happen.
Also please check if you have updated Lync Server to the latest version, if not, update it and then test again.

Group video call problem

So I have skype premium and trying to do a group video call but it only connects video with one person and the other person only connects audio. Why is the other person not able to connect with video

The person that does not connect with video is most likely using a Skype client that does not support video in group calls (such as a mobile client or iPad).

Skype works quite well on my iMac for calls with single individuals, and for group calls where someone else initiates the call. But I am unable to launch a group call without Skype going sideways -- all audio suddenly gets so distorted it is unusable. Anyone else experienced this or know about a fix? Your second-hand phone may have been hacked or jailbroken before you got it. Ask the person you bought it from.

Hello.I recently got this very unusual problem with Skype. While I was talking in a group conversation, my internet bugged out, and as a result, of course, it kicked me out of the call. Afterwards, the internet started working just fine, but now it doesn't even let me call anyone, and I can't join group chats. When I call someone, it says that they were not called, or when I try to join a group call, it just stays silent for a couple of seconds, and kicks me out. My friends on the other side of the call say that I'm just ringing, but not joining the call.I have reinstalled Skype at least 5 times, restarted my computer, deleted Skype and reinstalled it yet again, and even got an error 3-4 times saying that the installation could not compelte correctly.I don't have a clue what the problem could be. And my headphones work just fine, so it can't be that. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah i'm with you there. plus, haven't you seen the new skype in web browser now. Its in a beta right now and probably going to be legit. First of all, Fix your program first. We don't need more pieces of useless **bleep** for skype. We just need it fixed. so stop sitting with your thumbs up your ass and actually make your program not a piece of **bleep**. Before skype was amazing bit now, like everything else microsoft has made, it went down fast. So please do us and yourself a favor fixed this bug already.

Can't use camera in group call.

I am unable to use my camera while in a group call. The camera works, but whenever i try to turn it on through the call quality tab it says that there are too many people in the call/conversation. Even though there are only three to four people active in the call it won't let me activate the camera. Other people in the call can use theirs so i don't know what the problem is.

I figured out the issue... they changed the way Group Calls are limited.

Long story short, you can't do a video calling at all if the group has more than 10 people in it total (including you).
Also, you can't do voice calling in groups with more than 25 people.
Text chats are limited to 300 people (or so I've been told by Skype employees). I've been in a chat with over 100 participants though so I know it goes that high at least.

I can't send or recieve messages in group calls

So I've got this problem recently, and it shows me in group chats "Instant messaging isn't currently available...."(the message is longer). I cannot send messages and i can't recieve them in group calls, but on private I can.
I have the latest skype version, I allowd skype to connect through my firewall and also I tried port forwarding, but no use. I logged out from my phone and from other devices where I'm logged in.
I tried solutions from other posts and none of them worked. Please help me with this!

I forgot to add that I also reinstalled my windows, and I think it also doesn't work on my phone. My friends who I'm talking to, don't have this problem, just me.

No Video For Group Calls

I have the latest version of Skype. The webcam I'm using is "LiveCam Sync HD" from Creative. It works fine with Skype on an individual call, but will not work with groups. What is the reason, and how can I correct it?

Sorry no solution - I have the same problem as you.
I have been trying to use video for a group call to 3 others. Calling each person individually they can see my video, but when we call as a group they cannot see my video but I can see theirs.
I am using a Dell Latitude (3 years old) with Windows 7. It was reimaged last week and downloaded latest skype - the problem has happened before the remiage so not this.
Hopefully someone has some ideas?

Not letting me join group calls?

I cannot seem to join the group call. There is no option to join the call, and this is shared among all devices (ipad, laptop, and android phone). All applications are all up to date and have been redownloaded. The chat log registers that the "call as started" and had yet to have "ended" but there is no "join call option". The option sometimes appears after a long time if at all. The call leader must re-add me to the call for it to appear. There is then the problem of the calls randomly being dropped when the internet is fine. HELP!

One of the theories we had is that there might be someone in the call who is not your friend, so the privacy settings were kicking in and the call was dropping.
Could you check this please? Before the call, please make sure that all participants are in your contact list and have added you as a contact on their side also.

It would seem to be a platform/OS issue. I recently got a new webcam to work with my Kubuntu 14.10 desktop. It works fine when in a one on one call but will not handle video in a group call. I could hear all the other parties, but there was no video from that computer in either direction in the grouup call. To test my premise we tried it on my Android tablet as well. It did, however, work fine on my laptop running Windows 8.1.

But the reason stay in the supported platforms.
When group video calls feature will be implemented also for Linux platforms?

Video group calling - can t cancel the subscriptio...

guys....
i need help on that. whenever i try to cancel or go to settings for video group calling skype premium settings the page is not displayed. I don t think there is problem with my internet options settings because it says reload the page later. this thing comes every time i try to change the settings. i don t want group video calling subcription and some how get charged for that every month

I believe the fact that the option to cancel is not available on your account page is a bug, and I think Skype is aware of it.

Skype refuses to join group call

So, I was in a group call earlier today and suddenly the call dropped. When I rejoined my friend said something along the line of "the peasants" or something silly like that and I was immediately kicked. At first I thought they were messing with me, but this persisted every time I tried joining the call. I tried restarting Skype. Same problem. I tried restarting my computer same problem. I tried uninstalling skype twice, same probelm. Every time I'm greated with the same audio clip of "the peasants" and kicked. Occasionally, the dialing tone will play when I'm not calling anyone and will then just stop. I'm on a mac and most of the support threads I've seen on this issue give instructions for windows users and recommend deleting the dbtemp folder, which I cannot find in the skype library on my mac. Has anyone experienced this before?

Version 7.0.0.102 will not let me join group calls...

I am having a probelm with this new "forced" version of skype (Current version 7.0.0.102). As i boot skype up on my desktop i can not join any group calls, but when i am on my phone i can join them. This makes it a huge inconvience on how i play if im doing some MMO being on my phone without my headset on to play the game. Also it makes it quite a problem if i try to stream with it on. So if anyone knows how to fix this bug it would be lovely.
