B2C webshop- Customised Scenario

Hello Experts,
We have the following scenario for one of our clients in B2C webshop.
A customer logs/registers to the B2C webshop with his user name/ password.
The customer places order for a particular brand of product.
The customer logs out of the webshop.
The customer again logs in to the webshop.
THis time the customer should be able to see (certain product recomendations/certain enhamncements of the product ordered earlier/extended services of the same product) based on the brand of product ordered earlier.
Note :- General product recomendations(best selling ones) will not be applicable here.
We are considering one B2C webshop for a single product line with one transaction type/ pricing procedure.
Pointers to this would be helpful.

Hello Samson,
Do you mean Web Application Server as the "webserver" in your question? If you have installed the Java Stack (Web Application Server) of the NetWeaver, then you don't need the webserver.
But if you mean the HTTP Server, then the answer is, it is better to have one. In any customer facing applications using the web, it is better to have a HTTP server to dispatch the web traffic and do some sort of reverse proxy etc.
Yes, TREX is required for indexing and searching the catalog for the B2C application. If you are plaaning to do Web Analytics / Web Event capturing - TeaLeaf may be required. Note: You can still do the web analytics without the TeaLeaf. But if you want to do the whole-nine-yards of customer session recreate etc, yuo might consider the TeaLeaf (some basic licensing is availanle free).

Settings for free goods in b2c webshop

hello,
an internet user for b2c webshop can order free good items,i understand that for him to order this products his customer number is to be added during free good item creation in the R/3 system,
my question is where are the settings maintained pertaining to webshop like either in the xcm setings or in shopadmin.

Hi Everyone,
We are trying to register a user in B2C Webshop .In the process of registering, On entering the postal Code and corresponding city , the application shows an error message which says " Tax Jurisdiction could not be detremined" .
Going ahaed, we could like some clarity on the same .It would also be relevant if we could make this postal code/City as an optional filed in the System.We need clarity on making this as an optional field.
KIndly give your inputs if any one has worked on the same functionality.

CRM--> Master Data --> Business Partner --> Specify handling of error messages helps.
Also see my replies in other threads on suppressing or showing CRM messages in the web (ISA) layer.

Configurator guided selling

Hi,
I need help from experts out here on how to handle the situation below
I need to implement guided selling for 15 related models.
Customer/Sales team use iStore/Order Management to place the order
Customer/Sales know the specifications like length, breadth, mode of usage etc of our models.
Since we have 15 some what related models which are again configurable, I need to pose some basic questions and then suggest a model out of these 15 models.
Then user will configure the suggested model.
Now, in Order management, I need to enter a model name to start the configuration using configurator. As mentioned above, before configuring the model, I need to arrive at the model.
One option I was thinking of was to use, a dummy model and add all the 15 models as its child in BOM and import the dummy model in to configurator, create guided selling questions and arrive at a model and then proceed with its configuration.
This means, the users will always place order for this dummy model.
I would like to know what are the implications of using this dummy model on the down stream systems (WIP, Shipping etc.)

"Forgotten Password" functionality in E-Commerce 7.0 B2C webshop

How to remove header from B2C webshop from internet sales application?

Hi All,
I am working on B2C webshop. I need to design a user registration page which has only workarea section and no other section in the page. I have been able to remove the header contents, but the area in which header jsp was placed is looking empty which looks awkward. I need to occupy the whole page with workarea only. How to do it? Do we need to do any changes in layout-config.xml? If so, please tell me how to do the changes.

Please don't make any changes into layout-confix.xml directly.
Please try below two options.
1. First try to play with \b2c\root\mimes\b2c\stylesheet.css stylesheet.
2. If you don't get any luck then please try to find any property in B2C's XCM.

Problem with user logon in b2c webshop

hello,
i have registered as a consumer in BC webshop CRM,soon after creation i could able to logon into the shop,but when i logoff and again logon with the created logon info it says logon is invalid.
Iam using the same same address data which is related to the sales area used in the during webshop creation,even then the problem is persisiting,
one more question,can we create any user in CRm system and use that logon info
to login to b2c webshop,i mean the other wau round will it work,
if yes please answer me how.

Hi Chandrashekar,
Please in the backend whether you are credentials are attached to a consumer group.
Also check from your system administrator, whether your user id is in active state and has the required roles.
I don't there could be any problem except. Please revert back.

Need to replace Consumer creation in B2C webshop

Dear experts
CRM 5.0,
The current business partners of our client are created in the role consumer. Now we are planning to deploy CRM ISA on the same system. When shoppers would register themselves in the B2C webshop, it would create them in the role consumer in the backend system. Is it possible to change the role in which a B2C user gets created as a business partner or any other way to programmatically change the grouping so that even though the B2C user is a consumer, the number range assigned for him/her is different.

Hi Ritwik,
What I would suggest you:
B2C new registered users are created based on a Reference User. Try create a new "Reference User" (template user) with the Consumer Role you need and assign all the necessary B2C Security Profiles/Roles that you actually have.
Once it is done, restart your B2C application. All your new registered users must now have the same BP Role that your Reference user.

RTOM, Guided Selling in conjunction with IPC?

I have a business scenario where the sales force will be using CRM 2007 Web GUI for entering quotes in a configurable environment and the business would like to use some sort of guided selling approach in conjunction with product configurator in order to come with the correct product or set of products for the customer.
So my question is that whether Real time offer management or Intent driven guided selling (New with CRM 2007) will work with IPC and product configurator?
Ideally we want following:-
Sales rep asks bunch of questions to the customer (using guided selling) and based upon the answers, SAP CRM automatically inputs the products and quantities (from IPC) on to the quote?
Does this seem feasible?

Have you implemented the following BAdI?
CRM_COND_COM_BADI
For item condition variables you got to use the method
method if_ex_crm_cond_badi~item_communication_structure
and set the variable "ZZVA5_FVC".
Generally, you will use CRM_ORDER_READ to get the value of this variable in the transaction and set it in the item_communication_structure. Prior to doing this the variable you using must have been added to the Pricing Communication structure.

Logon Errors in B2C webshop

hello guys,
This is urgent,Iam trying to logon to B2C webshop by registering as a consumer,
i have given have used German address,after entering the address data when i try to
save the user,i get the following error
"You are not authorized to assign profiles"
can anyone explain how to overcome this problem,.

Hi Chandu,
What Raj said is indeed true. That is a possibility. Give full authorisation to the java user.
Otherwise use tx ST01 and do the following:
select trace components:
Authorisation checks X
now click the general filters button and fill the 'only for user' field with the username of the java user. click ok
Activate the trace by clicking the Trace on button.
now you just try to do what you were doing. When you receive the error go back to ST01 and click the button trace off.
Now evaluate the trace by clicking the Evaluation button.
Here you will get an overview of all authorisation checks performed troughout your actions...
Normally you should find some checks where SY-SUBRC is not 0. These are the problems.
How you can solve it is to adjust the authorisation roles that are assigned to the java users.
That should do the trick.

We have requirement of providing Variant configuration on B2B and B2C Webshop , when customer creates sales order.
SAP CRM 7.0 is integrated with backend ECC 6.0 , And "Variant configuration " is configured in ECC 6.0.
Please share step by step details , How to provide "variant configuration" functionality on B2B and B2C Webshop

Logon Problems with B2C Webshop

Hi,
when i try to logon to the B2C webshop,it is giving change password screen,iam using the logon info which i was using for long,but then this is new error,i cross checked with the business partner role in CRM Online,it is taking the correct BP role as CRM006, where could be the problem,

The setting Mike is talking about is found in the Portal Administration application, under UME security profiles.
What is the issue though? Do you want to know why your password has expired or do you want to know how to reset it? Why don't you just enter a new password?
Perhaps I am missing the point?

Number of b2c webshop limitation

Is there any limitation of b2c webshop ?
If yes, what is the limition ? webshop ? product catalog view ? product catalog variant ?

1. There is no limitation of number of B2C webshop. But usually for any implementation as per the business processes of an organization there might not be more than 1 or 2 B2C webshops.
-- If it will be more B2C webshop, what is the real business need
--How these B2C web shop will be maintained
--What is the user base for all these number of B2C webshop
--Other authorizatio parameters need to be considered.
--etc
2. You can have multiple product catalog, product catalog view and product catalog variant.
As far as I know there is no limit for the number of product catalog view and product catalog variant.
