H57M-ED65 with i5 cpu - added HD and now we get 1 long beep and 2 short beeps

So a friend of mine has a MSI H57M-ED65 that he added a 2 terabyte sata drive too. Everything has worked perfect with this board for about 3 years. they turn it on and now it gives a beep of 1 long beep and 2 short beeps. No Video. Now I have seen the beep codes but it doesnt add up. I have removed everything and reseated. They do not use the onboard video, if I remove all the memory and power it on the board recognizes the fact no memory is there and gives the correct codes. I have checked all connections but the only thing online I see is it says possible video problem. Doesnt really add up and I checked the few connections that had been un plugged and everything is correct.
Has anyone ever seen this problem after putting in a drive? Oh yea also I have unplugged the dvd and hd's and still get the beeps. If its still video issue I am going to assume it has to do with the onboard video cards because with out the other card installed it still gives errors.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i heard about the full cmos clear yesterday....after the flash i just pressed the clear cmos button at the back panel...but now i did the full clear...
well i have an aerocool e80 700w psu...i was thinking it might be the psu...then i tried on my old 500w coolermaster psu and it worked fine(i could restart as many times as i wanted/no blank screen)
then i hocked back the aerocool to confirmed if it was at fault and POOOFFFF no more blank screen.i restarted any time with no problem...how can it be?what caused the blank screen and BSOD?
i will try to use the PC as much as i can and see if i get any blue screen...will keep u posted
***memory is Kingston 4*2gb.i ran memtest86 it found no error over 2 hours...i never overclock anything

Look in your Applications folder. If your system behaved as expected, you should have an iMovie 9.0 folder in your Applications folder. Apple moved the old version there as even they suspected the new versions was a train wreck.

Stuck in hotel with an ibook, an Express and a short ethernet cord! Help!

Help -- I'm in a Marriot and I brought my airport express thinking I could just plug their high speed into it and go but it won't work. Do i have to do something? It recognizes the AE and calls it what it is at home... the signal is strong but I can't get online without plugging this very short ethernet cord into my laptop. I want to check email from the bed! Any help would be great.

was able to immediately switch to wireless.
One thing to check is to make sure that "Distribute
IP addresses" is enabled. Also, make sure that the
Ethernet port is enabled in the Base Station Options;
this little detail bit me until I figured it out.

I experienced same problem tonight and called Verizon technical support and they walked me through the settings on iPad. Took about 5 minutes. Basically it involved changing incoming.verizon.net to pop.verizon.net and changing outgoing.verizon.net to smtp.verizon.net. But it's worth the call to ensure other settings are OK. Evidently, change at Verizon was effective today!

HT2204 I have 3 iphones and all use the same apple ID,how do I change this so each phone has its own id,do i restore the phones to factory settings first??as im having problems with contacts being added to and deleted from each phone.

You do not necessarily need to restore the device to factory settings, but rather sign out of the four services that utilize your Apple ID: iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and iTunes & App Stores. Once signed out, you can sign in with a new Apple ID. For more information, see the following article:

My Airport TC is setup with Comast as a router but now I can no longer use Airport Utility. I get a warning stating it used to be part of the network and gives me an option to forget it which I really don't think should be done. Any suggestions?

As additional info, my internet is working just fine but had an opportunity to try to get my grandson's DS on the wifi and things went downhill from there.

Try temporarily connecting your computer directly to one of the TCs available LAN ports using an Ethernet drop cable. You should be able to access it with the AirPort Utility now. Once you verified that the TC is properly configured for what you want it to do along with the Comcast-provided router, you can disconnect the computer.

I've been having troubles when using "shorted" paths like "C:\docume~1\...."
Unfortunatelly i have to parse the output of another program which gives me the way "docume~1" instead of "documents and settings"
The thing is that when i use something like
File path = new File ("C:\docume~1\....");
boolean out = path.exists();
out is always false for this kind of paths, while when other normal paths i have no problems. Is there any way to "translate" it on the fly, or make this reduced names to be recognized by Java?

8.3 notation using "~" works for me.

The trail period is likely tied to your AppleID, not a specific device, and begins when you download the app.

Adobe Update Ran, Now PP CS4 No Longer Works with MPEG Files & More....

I think I know what this is but I thought I would make sure.
(Running CS4 Master Suite in Windows 7 Home Premium with 16GB Ram, i970 processor and six short stroked drives for cache, files, etc.)
Last night Adobe Updater popped up and wanted to do some installs. I had already been editing a project usine PrPro and AE for several hours so called it a night and initiated updater. This morning PrPro no longer recognizes my MPEG source files! Niether does AE or ME. In PrPro it hangs on "conforming." Did I get hit with the Revert to Trial bug? Could it be something else?
What I have done: cleared all cache files, rebooted, checked cache settings, rebooted, wiped deleted cache files, rebooted, cursed.

Won't start up - 3 long beeps and 1 short beep repeated

As I was watching Netflix, the display went crazy and displayed horizontal lines and the computer froze.
I held the power switch down to shut it off.
After restarting, seemed to work fine for a few minutes, then same thing happened.
Reset again. Seemed to start up fine (heard the chime and the hard drive going) but no display output.
Reset again. Got the start up chime, a white screen with horizontal lines, and I get 3 long beeps and 1 short beep repeatedly.
Any ideas?

The beeps you're hearing means the system has no usable memory. You can try reseating the memory or swapping for other known working memory (pain as it is to open the mini up). Otherwise, typically that means it's new logic board time. See this Apple article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1547

CPU Overload (-10010) with Logic 9.0.2 and SL 10.6.2 after clean install

Whether using the demo song (Numbers Game), or a new song even with just a couple of instruments (EXS) and a single audio track I get a CPU overload -10010 or -1009 message sometimes every few seconds, sometimes every 30 minutes.
I thought perhaps a conflict with drivers or other software, so I have tried a clean install of SL10.6, updated to 10.6.2, loaded Logic Pro, updated to 9.0.2, and added NO OTHER SOFTWARE AT ALL, and used internal audio, still same problem.
This seems to be a bug in Logic or SL. What can I do?

This is no bug, your system is telling you that it cannot handle the full load of this song. Try Freezing tracks with heavy CPU-using plugins on them.

First of all - depending upon how you define resetting the iPad - you will not lose anything. If you erase all contents and settings - then you will lose everything. Don't do that!
If the videos are not in the correct format - launch iTunes on your computer. Click on one of the videos in your iTunes library in order to select it. Then go to Advanced>Create iPad or Apple TV version and see if the video will convert. Do the same for the other videos and then select those to sync again with the iPad.
To get the videos app working again, first quit it completely and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If the videos app still doesn't work, try this.
Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of any of your movies in the field at the top. when the movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should hopefully start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all is OK.

What process did your daughter use, there is a specific format to redeem an iTunes gift card. The gift card must be redeemed using the Redeem link in the Quick Links on the right side of the iTunes Store in iTunes on a computer or the Redeem button at the bottom of both the iTunes and App Store apps in iOS.
