I just checked your account, and see that it's active. Are you trying to sign in via Adobe Reader? If so, please choose Help > Check for Updates in Reader and make sure that it-s up-to-date. The most current version, 11.0.07, should alleviate that sign-in error.

if your Mac monitor has Thunderbolt ports, and the PC monitor is on the end of the daisy chain, then you might be able to do it by connecting your PC monitor’s VGA cable to a Mini DisplayPort-to-VGA adapter (e.g. Apple, NewerTech), connecting that cable’s Mini DisplayPort end to one of the Mac monitor’s Thunderbolt ports, and then connecting a Thunderbolt cable between the other port on the Mac monitor and your MacBook Pro.

Constantly getting "Loading" messages when trying to open mail

Constantly getting "Loading" messages when trying to open messages within "Mail." Funny, these appear to be messages sent to my .mac account. Apparently, I am able to open gmai.com messages. Any advice.

I've been using older printers (including an imagesetter) connected to10.5.8 With a new 10.6 machine I'm looking to still use the printers. I can use the olderG5 as a sever if need be. What would be the best way to do this? ine

I've replaced my 10.5.8 with another machine 10.6.8 which as we know doesn't support Apple Talk which has been used to print to 2 bulletproof older printers and an imagesetter. I wan't to keep using the printers and can use the 10.5.8 as a server. What is the best way to do this?

You could do this a number of ways. Using the LPD Daemon might work best for your location?
First: assign the machine you're going to use as the 10.5.8 'server' a fixed IP address.
Second: add desired printers to that machine using the usual methods.
Once added share them using the Print Sharing option in the Sharing Preferences Pane. On the 10.6.8 machine add the printer using the IP address of the 10.5.8 'server'.
System Preferences > Print & Fax and click the '+' icon. Click on the IP Icon and key in the IP address you previously assigned. Leave the Queue field alone and select the relevant PPD from the Print Using field (see below). You'll have to search for these yourself.
You don't have to 'install' the PPDs on the 10.6.8 machine as such. Simply copying them over from their location on the 10.5.8 machine (use a memory stick to do the transfer) to the same location on the 10.6.8 machine will be enough.
There should be no need to restart.

Trying to restore bookmarks and get error msg windows can't open places.sqlite file. also get same message when trying to open json files for prev sessions.

Ibelieve remote user deleted cache and now I have no bookmarks. I have tried to reset firefox and was unable to do so. I tried to restore bookmarks through the places sqlite file and windows cannot open the file. I went to old firefox file on desktop and tried to open a previous version of bookmarks and windows could not open file. I still have bookmark toolbar and a lot of my categories bookmarks but they are all empty. My plugins are still there Can you tell me where to direct windows to open sqlite of json files?

To experiment more safely, could you create a new Firefox profile? The new profile will have your system-installed plugins (e.g., Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions, or other customizations. It also should have completely fresh settings databases and a fresh cache folder. If we get your bookmarks into the new profile successfully, you can create a backup and restore it in your regular profile.
Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager using Start > search box (or Run):
firefox.exe -P
Any time you want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog.
Please do not delete anything in this dialog.
Click the Create Profile button, choose a name like TESTING, and skip the option to choose a folder. Then start Firefox in the new profile you created.
If you have backups in the JSON format (e.g., bookmarks-2014...json) try to restore one to this TESTING profile. This article has the steps (you will need to use Choose File... to get to the backup):

Does that work and give you complete results?
If not, the next thing I would try is to drop in the places.sqlite file you have and see whether Firefox can read it properly.
First, open up a Windows Explorer window to this new profile folder. You can do that using either
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* Help menu > Troubleshooting Information
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button
Got the list of files? Okay, leaving that window open, switch back over to Firefox and Exit the browser, using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
* File menu > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup -- you will see the timestamps update in the profile folder, then rename '''places.sqlite''' to something like places.old and drop in the places.sqlite file you want to test.
Start Firefox back up again. Bookmarks?

I did try to search for this problem, but couldn't find it.... Just today, I tried to open a word doc in Mac Office 2008, and I kept getting an error message... I get the same error message if I try to open up anything in Office... I get the error message that "MS Office has encountered a problem and needs to close"
What's the deal? If I try to update Mac Office I get this: "You cannot install Office 2008 12.1.1 Update on this volume. A version of the software required to install this update was not found on this volume."
I wouldn't have Office if I didn't need it for work...

I have downloaded Adobe CS6 Master collection but i get an error when trying to unzip and install the program

The download was complete and successful, but when i go to extract the file i get this error messages in succession
I have plenty of disc space, and i have also tried to redownload twice... same issue

Trenth52831125 the first error message is indicating either insufficient disk space or incorrect file permissions. How much disk space do you have available on your primary drive?
Are you logged in under a local administrator account? Also what version of Windows are you downloading and extracting on?

Get error message when trying to open a file in Adobe Indesign

I would appreciate some help here.
Just installed ID, and want to get started. When I try to open any file (pdf. jpg etc) I get the following message:
"Can´t open file. It might be that Adobe ID don´t support the file format, that the plug-in-module that supports the file format are missing, or that the file is open in another program".
I have tried ID on both my PC and Mac - the same error message is shown on both computers. It must be said that I am normaly as PS and AI user, and have not tried ID before. Maybe it is an easy solution to the problem, thus Adobe chat line could not help me.
I appreciate any help you can offer!

That is a Mac OS error code that says that the OS doesn't have any room left in its process table to run another process. Restart your computer and then start After Effects.

What would be the best tablet/notebook for Photoshop CS4 or Photoshop Elements 10

When we travel, I love to work with my pictures to create hard bound book pages as we go. I have wanted a tablet/notebook that I can use a stylis pen to mark my selections but have no idea where to start. I need a pretty powerful machine because some of my projects get rather large.   Size isn't so much a problem unless someone recommends the new Dell that is a bit too small. That one is just too small and my eyesight isn't what it used to be.   Any suggestions would be very welcome. We already have a laptop but I really want something that I can draw on the tablet to make my many layer selections.    I'm not all an expert when it comes to hardware. I use both Elements 10 and CS4 on my Windows 7 64 bit machine and use them both but would probably only load Elements 10 on any new device I buy. It's just easier and for what I'm doing, it's the best solution.

I had a Wacom tablet that I used with my PC and really didn't like it. I would much rather had an image on the tablet that I could draw around........and even though one of those exists, it's way out of my price range.   What I'm looking for is a larger version of the Dell Inspiron Duo (1090) 10.1" display 1366/768 touch screen convertible tablet.    It's easy to go from regular mode to touch screen mode by flipping the screen.   This one however has a screen that's just too small for me to use and the keyboard is way to tiny for my big hands. I know I can call Dell and find out what they recommend but I had thought that some photoshop users had already encountered this and might just have an answer.
As for the iPad, I have one of those and it's great for apps but not at all for playing around with photoshop or any of my other graphic packages. I use it to grab my mail at wi-fi sites while we're on cruises where it doesn't cost an arm and leg for using the connection.   The price of a cup of coffee usually gets us enough time to download all of our mail and then head out touring.

If you are trying to download apps over 20MB in size, you can't do it via 3G. You can download them via WiFi.
When you go to iTunes on your computer, from the menu at the top - go to Store>Check for available downloads.
