Had to reset my ipod classic now itune will not recognize it, what do i need to do?

I had a problem with my ipod classic, stopped before songs were finished, long pauses while it ran through songs on shuffle mode, so i reset it. I finally got it back but now my i tunes will not recognize my i pod. What do I need to do?

Depending on what iPhone you have when you get to the connect to wifi you should be able to activate your device over cellular data. Try doing a hard reset by holding the home circle button an power button until an apple pops up and the go through the setup again and when you get to the wifi part a option should be setup with cellular data iPhone 4 and above should give this option sometimes doesn't like showing up that's why u have to do a hard reset first

Then you will need to try restoring it once more:
Placing your device into recovery (DFU) mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
   1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the
       other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
   2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds
       until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
              * If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the
                Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off,
                release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the
       device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,
       let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some
       charge, and then start with step 2 again.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
       When this screen appears you can release the Home button:

Updated now itunes will not recognize my ipod classic

I just updated to the most recent version of itunes and now itunes does not realize that my ipod classic is plugged in so I cannot sync nor can I even format if that was required. My PC sees I'm plugged in and I have even reinstalled itunes. Any ideas?

Well I solved my problem just in case anyone needs to do it in the future.
Opened windows explorer and located the device. Right click then selected format. I left everything as it was and then told it to format. Once the ipod was formatted I put it into disc mode and connected to the computer. Itunes recognized the ipod then made me restore it. once it restarted it recognized the device and synced right up.

I uninstalled iTunes, and then downloaded and installed iTunes from the Apple web site. Now iTunes does not show any devise when the iPod is plugged in. The computer shows the iPod in My Computer. If it matters I have all my music backed up on a WD external hard drive. I have a lot of music. How can I get iTunes to recognize my iPod?

My computer and itunes will not recongnize my ipod. The final troubleshooting step is to do a restore. But in order to restore, you must connect the ipod to itunes and click restore. I cannot do this. Is there a different method of doing the restore??

I'm frustrated.....iTunes will not recognize my Nano! I need help.

This has been a source of frustration for me for the past day and this morning. It will recognize my mother's Shuffle but not my Nano. I will tell you how this came to be. Prior to this, iTunes recognized BOTH iPods.
Yesterday:
1. I realized that the middle button on my iPod brings up the Apple logo.
2. I installed the upgrade thingy and put it on my iPod nano, which fixed the problem.
3. However, iTunes DID NOT RECOGNIZE my nano.
4. I spend hours starting and re-starting my computer, following ALL FIVE of the Rs. I uninstalled, re-installed, uninstalled, re-installed, etc. etc.
I am very upset that I cannot (probably temporarily) use my Nano. It was a gift to me and I use it when I go for daily walks. This problem had started this morning on Sunday and it is still unresolved. I am considering giving up at this point and exchanging my nano for a new one. I also refuse to pay $50 to $60 for tech support.

My new Ipad mini has the same name as my old Ipad. Now Itunes will not recognize either Ipad. Do I need to reset both or just the new one? How do I get them to have different names?

To rename them go to Settings>General>About>Name.
Don't start all over again. There are solutions for devices that are not being seen in iTunes. Try those suggestions first.

Had to reset iPod. Now it will not allow me to get my WIFI

I had to restore my iPod and now it will not let allow my WIFI to update the iPod. I do not know if it is because of other WIFI systems in my area. Someone uses NETGEAR, another uses ATT904. When they are in use I cannot use my iPod. I have called my cable company that I bundle with they can't seem to help me and I have called Apple and they have not answers for me. I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1
Many developers when they updated their apps to support iOS 5 and 6 dropped compatibility for iOS 4.2.1 and earlier.
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.
