Handheld presenter for Adobe Bridge slideshow?

Does anyone know of a handheld presenter that works with the slideshow of Adobe Bridge on a PC? Most only seem to work with PowerPoint which is not much use for photography because it is not color managed.

Amazon is my go to place for questions about hardware, because of the number of user reviews.  The Logitech R800 has over 1000 user reviews, and 90 answered questions.  I'm guessing there will be some knowledge between so many people.  What I find interesting is that there is no information about the 400 or 800 presenters on the Logitech site, as to what programs will work with them, which leads me to think they must just simulate left and right cursor/arrow keys
Amazon user reviews
Another point I'll make is that I have seen the Logitech Presenters used with Powerpoint and other apps at very high level, and by some of the most pedantic, fussy, pixel peeping, colour space looney tunes people you'd ever hope never to meet, and no one complained.  I'm about done for today, but I'll leave this open, and if no one else responds, I'll fire up my laptop in the morning, and do some testing with my Logitech 400.

  • How do i get the installation package for Adobe Bridge

    Hello,
Our Creative services Department have taken a Creative Cloud account and they only want to install Adobe Bridge, however when i access the Creative Cloud account there is no installer for Adobe Bridge. Now i believe Bridge is installed as part of the installation package for other Creative Cloud products such as Photoshop, so how would i find the installer package for just Bridge?

  • How to disable Updates for adobe bridge in photoshopCS6

I was able to grey out the adobe photoshop updates in help menu. using the preferences file under
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0\
But the adobe bridge which is present with in photoshop, "Help"->"update" option is not greyed out and thows error "unable to update, you do not have internet connection or you are not an system administrator". Same is the case with AAMEE configuration.
But if I delete this preference file, then I can launch it. Here my requirement is to grey our the update option both in photoshop and bridge as this will be deployed enterprise wide. Help me out how I can do this?

    Hi Venkat,
See if this helps (as taken from Adobe helpx http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/disable-update-manager-administrators-cs3.html. Looks like CS3 & CS4, I know. But worth giving a shot:
On Windows XP or Windows Vista
          Using Regedit.exe, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe
Create a new key in this folder named "Updater"
Create a new DWORD value within this key named "Enterprise with a value of "1"
Also, try one or both of these:
HKLM\Software\Adobe\Updater - Create a DWORD named 'Enterprise' with value '1'.
HKCU\Software\Adobe\Updater - Create a DWORD named 'Enterprise' with value '1'.
    HKLM - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    HKCU - HKEY_CURRENT_USER
(I'm sure you're aware of this, but for other users who visit this thread for similar issue - this will help!)
Let us know how it goes.

  • Any hope for Adobe Bridge's Flickr Export feature?

    Hi,
I've been using Adobe Bridge CS5 for a few years now and I love it's features.  However, only recently have I decided to explore posting pictures to on-line albums, in particular, Flickr.
Having experimented with Bridge's Flickr Export Panel, I notice that it always asks me to log-in and then it can re-authenticate.  I had started a discussion on Flickr's help forum, and the best suggestion was that CS5's Flickr Export module may be using http: instead of https:  I always get an error and cannot upload any photos to my Flickr account.
Any chance that this is the problem and that there is a fix for it?
Is there an updated Flickr export module?
Are there other export modules, say to Google+?
I am currently not interested in opening a Facebook account, so I don't want to use the Facebook export module.
Please reference the below link to read the Flickr forum discussion.
Flickr: The Help Forum: Flickr Export Module always asking for authentication in Bridge CS5
    Thanks,
    Randy

I called the Adobe 1-800 support number yesterday and went through the phone prompts and found that I could no longer connect to CS support. It just told me that phone support is not available and to go to the web site for support. It then ended the call. Since the phone message I got on Friday told me to call them back I called the number again and simply hit the prompts for Creative Cloud support and told them that I had an open case. I gave her my case number and see looked it up and immediately asked me if she could take control of my computer. Wow! They obviously have a much higher level of support staff for the Creative Cloud subscribers as I doubt if the Level 1 staff I talked to for regular CS-6 support could even do that, (or would know how). I told her that a Level 2 Tech had already done that earlier with no results. She put me on hold while she checked with the next level of support. After a minute or so she came back on and said that a Level 2 tech would call me back to troubleshoot my issue. I stayed home all day yesterday waiting for the call but nothing. I just hope that when they do call me I am actually home this time or we could be playing telephone tag forever. This is the second time I have called them back when they left a message on my answering machine.
You would think that when they call and get an answering machine that they would try to call back later, instead of making you call them back at the general support number and ending up talking to a different Level 1 person each time, who then has to research your case and then tries to fix the problem themselves when they can’t, or else I wouldn’t have been sent up to Level 2 in the first place. I’ve dealt with other support issues with other companies and they will dedicate one person to your case and that’s who you deal with each time. It’s much more efficient for them and for the customer. I hope someone from Adobe actually reads this forum once in a while. There customer support could definitely use improvement.
The next time I talk to them I am going to point them to this forum thread to prove it’s not just me.
Can I ask everyone to post what operating system they are using. Maybe that will narrow things down, or prove that it’s not an operating system problem?
I have the same problem on both my desktop and my laptop. Both are running Windows 7, 64 bit.
Photoshop CS-6, 64 bit only on both.

  • Library Cache for Adobe Bridge CS4

I'm trying to clear up space on my harddrive for my macbook, and in my library folder, there is a cache folder which then has various adobe products.  The Adobe Bridge CS4 folder has almost 20 GB of stuff in it.  Can I get rid of this (safe to delete)?  Why does it build up so much?  Do I need to periodically manage this manually?  Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.  Thanks!

The cache folder for Bridge can grow to huge proportions because it keeps
information for all earlier cached files. After quitting Bridge you can
delete this folder (user library/caches /Adobe/Bridge CS4/cache) by dragging
this to the trash and empty bin to make space on your HD.
Restarting Bridge creates a brand new cache folder in this place but this
one is empty. Therefore you will need to recache all files you want to show
at high quality in the preview window again because with deleting this data
the cache with all previews (including the HQ preview that are mainly
responsible for the huge size) from previous cached files will also be gone.
Personally I use this method on a regular base including restarting Bridge
holding down option key to refresh preferences, this gives a fresh start for
    Bridge.
I mainly use Bridge for sorting, rating and adding metadata and once the DNG
files I want have been developed they are transferred to my archive and
don't need to be in the cache file anymore
So with keep in mind that you need to recache the current files you are
using (takes some time depending on amount and size of the files you can
safely delete the current huge cache file.
Can I get rid of this (safe to delete)?  Why does it build up so much?  Do I
need to periodically manage this manually?

  • Indesign Contact Sheet script for Adobe Bridge 1.0.4.6

Our company currently has all the Adobe CS2 products but as stand alone applications and not part of the Creative Suite. Therefore, we don't seem to have all the functionality of the suite.
In particular the script to create Contact Sheets from Indesign CS2 of items through the script in Adobe Bridge.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to add the functionality of the contact sheet script for Indesign to Bridge without having the Adobe Creative Suite? And Why?
We are looking for something to replace an extension used by Quark to create contact sheets from Badia software. I am loath to upgrade this extension unless absolutely necessary. We receave thousands of photo's a week and output contact sheets for our editors to pick and choose which photos they want/like.
    Thanks in advance.

Why? Are you talking CPU hours or staff-hours? Does your workflow require heavy
user interaction or is something else the problem?

  • HELP: License for Adobe Bridge!

    Hi,
I am trying to find information on Adobe Bridge's license. I am wondering if you can purchase this as a stand-alone for use as a DAM. Many of our non-creative departments require access to our assets so need a central management console everyone can login with.
We have been seriously looking at: http://www.assetbank.co.uk/demos/
However Id like to know if Bridge is capable.
Any help on people using it as an Asset Manager (for not just media files) I'd like to hear what your suggestions are compared to other DAM products out there.
    Much appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Nick.

Bridge is an extremely buggy unreliable piece of software. I would not expend much effort trying to purchase it, standalone or otherwise.
Read this forum and you will get an earful!

  • Where is the extension folder for Adobe Bridge? (Mac)

I am trying to install the output module on Adobe Bridge. I am totally new to Creative Suite and photoshop. I can't find any information on bridge extensions at all. Here's the page I found on installing the output module- http://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/kb/install-output-module-bridge-cc.html
I downloaded it but after that is says to copy it into the extension folder. Where is the extension folder? Is it is Bridge? Is it in Finder? Any information on extensions is much appreciated! What exactly are extensions? What is the difference between the extension folder and extension manager?
    Thank you!

At first sight I can' see anything wrong about the correct locations you used.
There was no need to delete all workspaces but that also should do no harm I would think.
You once pointed at the bridge6.plist file but it is not clear to me what you did with it. Personally I would quit Bridge and delete this plist file manually and then restart with again holding down option and use reset preferences.
And you did also use the reset to standard workspaces instead of the reset workspace to only reset the selected workspace. I don't know for sure this will make a difference but it is worth a try.
And while you are in the user library to delete the plist file for Bridge also look in the folder caches in this library.
User / library/caches/adobe/Bridge CC and inhere find and delete both the plug in and cache folder, then restart Bridge.
Finally it might be also worth a try to download CS6, it should not be needed to do so but it was one of the earlier solutions that worked. In your ACC menu click on any app that shows blue and this brings you to the CC website. Choose download center and find PS. Click on the icon and this gives you the detailed download page. Inhere you can change CC to CS6.
Download PS6 it and install it (this also installs the CS6 version of Bridge which was not a separate download in CS6). Then try first start CS6 and start the AOM which is installed by default in this version.
Then when having used this once quit CS6 and try CC (or even combine with restarting your Mac).
Hope this helps, because I'm running out of options

  • Adobe Bridge Slideshow Format with Adobe Muse

When I am using Adobe Bridge and I go to Review Mode, a slideshow comes up that is full screen and the pictures rotate as you swipe them. Is there a way to use this slideshow format in Adobe Muse?

You would need to use custom coding to achieve this, try to embed the sliders in your Muse site ,

  • Transfering Info For Adobe Bridge To Aperture

i am getting pictures worked with photoshop and tagged with metadata via adobe bridge and i was wondering if i could get the metadata information imported into aperture when i am importing the pictures. thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, no. Aperture can export XMP metadata that can be read by Bridge, but it cannot currently import it.
It might be possible to use iView Media Pro to read the stuff, and then use Annoture to import from iVMP to Aperture. Annoture is a product by Adam Tow.

  • Tutorial Resources for Adobe Bridge PS CS3 for Windows?

Can anyone provide links to some really good Adobe Bridge CS3 tutorials? I'd liked to find resources other than those found from within Bridge it's self. So far, my Google-ing hasn't produced the desired results. Thanks.

If you ASSIGN your monitor profile to an image already CONVERTED to sRGB in PS, it looks like Windows viewer. This is because Windows viewer is not color managed
If I understand you, then any sRGB image displayed on my monitor in a non-color-managed app will be more saturated and redder than it should be because its pixel values are being interpreted as if they were in my monitor's custom wider-than-sRGB colorspace when in fact they're not.  When displayed in PS, Photoshop "knows" that they're in sRGB and my monitor isn't, and adjusts accordingly.  Right?
Here are some shots from the MS Color control panel applet comparing my monitor's gamut (color shape) to sRGB (white/gray shape):
    From "below":
    From the side:
    From "above":
This explains why there's more red, but curiously I don't see the same effect in the green, which has an even wider gamut as shown below.  Maybe the green levels in this image aren't high enough to be shifted appreciably?

  • Unlocking Home folder for Adobe Bridge

I have an iMac and Adobe Photoshop CS6.  Recently, my settings have changed so that I cannot access my home folder on Adobe Bridge.  It is showing as locked and I can't figure out how to unlock it so that I may access my pictures subfolder.  When I click on the Home folder icon, it opens up a Finder window and it does not show any of my folders or thumbnails in Bridge. If I click on a photo in the Finder window then it launches Photoshop.  Any suggestions as to how I can reset my settings to allow Bridge to access my folders?

It is showing as locked and I can't figure out how to unlock it so that I may access my pictures subfolder.
Where is your Home folder showing as locked? Sorry, that is not quite clear. When you are using the file choser in Adobe Bridge or when you are viewing your Home folder in the Finder?
Are you seeing a padlock icon on the Home folder icon or a non-trespassing sign?

  • Nikon Coolpix P340 Camera RAW plug in for Adobe Bridge?

Just got a P340 specifically for the ability to capture RAW images and realized that the camera isn't supported yet. Anyone know when the plug in for the P340 will be available?

Thanks for trying to help, Curt Y.  I did download the beta ACR 8.4.0.182 and have CC.  I checked that it was installed.  I redownloaded the images from the camera.  After I did that, the NEF files in RAW showed up in Bridge but no thumbnails.  When I tried to open them I got the same error message that these can't be opened.  I researched the beta ACR 8.4 newly suported cameras and the Coolpix P340 was not listed.
I tried taking the memmory card out of the P340 and put it into my Nikon D7000 to see if I could download the files in RAW as the D7000 is supported, but for some reason the files did not even appear on the D7000.  I guess P340 files won't be able to be viewed or otherwise utilized in a D7000 camera.
Unless you have any other suggestions, I guess I need to wait until Adobe adds the P340 to the list of supported cameras.
    Best/Saul

  • Can Apple TV play wmv, ppt or view Photoshop Bridge slideshows?

I am considering purchasing Apple TV.  I am hoping that I can replace the HDMI cable from my MacBook Pro to my HD TV with the Apple TV setup.  Now I view wmv and ppt files playing on my MacBook on my HD TV and Adobe Bridge slideshows.  That is in addition to NetFlix and movies.
My  motivation to purchase Apple TV is to view MLB.com games on my HD TV which I can not reliably do when I choose the fill screen option in the MLB media player.  If I do so do I would like to not have to use my present HDMI cable any longer.

No, it plays none of those formats.
