there are 2spaces inbeween 1and 2nd fields and one space beween 2nd and 3rd ,one space between 3rd and 4th fileds
I declared my source data strucute like below

  • Receiver CC File - Complex Flat File Conversion

    Dear forum users,
    I want your opinion about the feasibility of the content conversion described below using Receiver CC.
    The structure of my file is the following
    - A File header segment (FH)
    - 1...N Business Object that is described by many segments
    - A file footer segment (FF)
    Exemple of business Object : Purchase Order :
    1 Header Segment (POH)
    N Item Segments (POI)
    Exemple of file :
    FH
    POH (PO 1)
    POI (PO 1)
    POI (PO 1)
    POH (PO 2)
    POI (PO 2)
    POI (PO 2)
    FF
    Is content conversion standard tool can deal with such a structure ?
    Note that in the file created, the order of each segment has a big importance :
    PO Items of PO 1 must be after PO Header of PO 1 but before PO Header of PO 2 !
    I thnik the structure requested by converter described in documentation do not fit with my case :
    <root>...
      <nameA>
            <value1>value</value1>
            <value2>value</value2>
            <value3>value</value3>
      </nameA>
      <nameB>
            <value4>value</value4>
      </nameB>
    </root>
    I should have :
    <root>
    <FH>
      <PO>
        <POH>...</POH>
        <POI>...</POI>
        <POI>...</POI>
      </PO>
      <PO>
        <POH>...</POH>
        <POI>...</POI>
        <POI>...</POI>
      </PO>
    </FH>
    </root>
    Thanks very much for your help and opinions

    Thank you Stephan for your answer.
    Firstly, could you confirm whether the "row" elements under the root tag are on the same level than other elements (POH, POI, FF and FH) or not ?
    I just check the both following parts of the help documentation called :
    - [Inserting MessageTransformBean in the Module Processor|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/57/0b2c4142aef623e10000000a155106/frameset.htm]
    - Using the dispatcher : Example
    For me, it is not clear.
    1. Do I need to create an external class (XSLT Library for example) to manipulate my XML data before passing it to the standard Flat File Conversion tool ? (Here the manipulation would be to remove the row XML elements)
    2. Where is located the famous "Data" directory in which I must put my xsl file ?
    Thanks for clarifications.

    Hi,  I've just purchased and installed an upgrade from Lightroom 4 to 5.  It doesn't seem to handle raw files authored with a new Nikon D750 camera.  I spoke to the sales rep about this and he gave me a link to the 8.6 DNG converter page with instructions to download.  8.6 only works with Mac OS 10.7-10.9, according to the page.  I'm running Yosemite, Mac 10.10.  Please can you tell me my options?  Lightroom 4 worked beautifully with my older cameras' raw files so I would like to continue using the application.  What should I do?  How soon will Lightroom 5 be able to deal with raw files from a D750.  Many thanks, Adam.

    Until the next version of Lightroom is released, you need to use the DNG Converter version 8.7RC to convert your RAW photos to DNG and then import the DNGs into Lightroom.

  • How to handle flat file with variable delimiters in the file sender adapter

    Hi friends,
    I have some flat files in the ftp server and hope to poll them into XI, but before processing in XI, I hope to do some content conversion in the file sender adapter, according to the general solution, I just need to specify the field names, field seperator, end seperator, etc. But the questions is:
    The fileds in the test data may have different amount of delimiters (,), for example:
    ORD01,,,Z4XS,6100001746,,,,,2,1
    OBJ01,,,,,,,,,,4,3
    Some fileds only have 1 ',' as the delimiter, but some of them have multiple ','.
    How can I handle it in the content conversion?

  • Idoc to flat file conversion: problem with mapping

    Dear experts,
    I have the following scenario: SAP (idoc) -> XI -> 3rd party
    The idoc has s structure like this:
    . ZSCX001 (idoc name)
    ... IDOC
    ..... ORDERHEADER
    ....... ORDERLINE
    ......... DELIVERY LINE
    ......... DELIVERY LINE
    ..... ORDERHEADER
    ....... ORDERLINE
    ......... DELIVERY LINE
    ......... DELIVERY LINE
    etc
    The flat file has this structure:
    . FILENAME
    ... RECORD
    ..... FIELD1
    ..... FIELD2
    ... RECORD
    ..... FIELD1
    ..... FIELD2
    etc
    Now, per IDOC I need to create 1 file. For each delivery-line in the IDOC I need to create 1 record in the outputfile (flat file).
    In message mappings, I did the following:
    - messages-tab: Occurrence of the Idoc and inbound message type for flatfile: both 1
    - design-tab: I linked IDOC to the FILENAME (so for each Idoc I create 1 flat file)
    - design-tab: I linked the tag "Delivery line" to "RECORD" (I expected 1 record per delivery line)
    When I test it, I only get 1 resulting record in the flat file, even if I test with 3 ORDERHEADER->ORDERLINE->DELIVERY LINE segments.
    Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance,
    William

    Hi,
    First make sure occurence of Record is 0..unbounded.
    Second use the blow mapping rule..
    Delivery line --->RemoveContext ---> RECORD

  • Sender File adapter File Conversion with key fields

    Please help me guys, I already spent way too much time on this!
    I checked a couple of BLOGs and I think I'm doing the right thing except I'm not getting the result I would expect.
    I'm trying to create an IDoc using the from a flat file.
    I get the following error:
    During the application mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_TEST_ a com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException was thrown: RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformatio~
    The Source file is this:
    H
    L0015
    The file adapter does create the XML below (looks fine):
      <ns:MT_SINGLE xmlns:ns="http://PPSC_TO_BO_INVOICE">
      <HEADER>
         <ID>H</ID>
      </HEADER>
      <LINE>
         <ID>L</ID>
         <SITE>0015</SITE>
      </LINE>
      </ns:MT_SINGLE>
    When I test the map in IR, with the XML that this file adapter created (above) it works fine!
    Also if I take away the HEADER from the source structure everything works fine and I can create the IDoc, therefore I think something must be wrong in the file conversion, the mapping is so simple there is nothing to fail there.
    The file conversion parameters that I have:
    Document Name: MT_SINGLE
    Document Namespace: http://PPSC_TO_BO_INVOICE
    Document Offset:
    Recordset Name:
    Recordset Namespace:
    Recordset Structure: HEADER,1,LINE,*
    Recordset Sequence: Ascending
    Recordset per Message:
    Key Field name: ID
    Key Field Type: String (Case-Sensitive)
    LINE.fieldNames: ID,SITE
    LINE.fieldFixedLengths: 1,4
    LINE.keyFieldValue: L
    HEADER.fieldNames: ID
    HEADER.fieldFixedLengths: 1
    HEADER.keyFieldValue: H
    What am I doing wrong???
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Viktor Varga

    Hi Viktor,
    Basic rules:
    1. Down load XML payload(output From Adapter) and test it in IR mapping program. If it is working there is no reason why it will fail in Runtime. Also Check Cache is up to date.
    Generally the problem lies with namespace.
    Hope this helps
    Regards,
    Satish

  • Handling flat files in 'pass through' mode

    Is it possible to handle text files in PI in a pass through mode, i.e. just picking them up from a file adapter, and using another file adapter to send them out e.g. via FTP? Our customer wants to use the traceability of PI to do this. There would be no need for a transform.
    I suspect the answer is no, because PI processes XML messages. However, I recall that it is possible to send IDocs through in pass through mode, so I wondered if it would be possible to do the same with flat files.
    BR,
    Tony.

  • Flat File Conversion Error: Unable to initialize communication channel

    Dear experts.
    I have a file to flat file scenario. I just wanted to test this first because it's the first time. I followed this blog: /people/arpit.seth/blog/2005/06/02/file-receiver-with-content-conversion
    I get this message: Channel has not been correctly initialized and cannot process messages. I looked around on the forum and in other blogs, and it seems something is wrong with my Content Conversion Parameters. Could you please advise?
    The message is a small customer test message:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:MT_TEST xmlns:ns0="urn://xi/csr/customer">
      <Customer_File>
        <Customer>
          <Name>xxx</Name>
          <Last>xxxxxxxx</Last>
        </Customer>
      </Customer_File>
    </ns0:MT_TEST>
    The parameters I am using are:
    Recordset structure: Customer_File,Customer
    Customer.addHeaderLine: 0
    Customer.fieldSeparator: #
    Customer_File.fieldSeparator: 'nl'
    Customer.endSeparator: 'nl'
    The mapping I am using is one-to-one.
    This is not working for me...
    Furthermore, I would like to set the Name and Last tag to set field lengths. Is this possible for these tags??
    Thanks in advance.

    hi
    PLz try with the following steps:
    chk the occurence of customer.
    if the customer occurence is (0-------unbounded) then

    try,
    Recordset Structure - Header,operations
    Header.fieldSeparator ,
    Header.endSeparator nl
    Header.addHeaderLine X  *****
    operations.fieldSeparator ,
    operations.endSeparator nl
    and in case it doesnt work try removing the Record_Idoc node from the XML in mapping and then try the Cont. Conv.
    X can be
    0 – No header line
    1 – Header line with column names from the XML document
    2 – As for 1, followed by a blank line
    3 – Header line is stored as NameA.headerLine in the configuration and is applied
    4 – As for 3, followed by a blank line

  • File Conversion with special char ' '

    I have a flat file that contains '<' character though it is not an XML file.  I planned to treat the contents like a blog and have something like this:
    <recordset>
      <record>
        <data>
          <i>File content</i>
        <data>
      </record>
    </recordset>
    My File content has something like the following:
    <<SAMPLE>>
    <_TEST_>
    DATEFORMAT, DD-MM-YYYY
    DATETIMEFORMAT, DD-MM-YYYY HH24:MI:SS
    SOURCESYSTEM, BM_SRC_OPENBPC
    <ENDTEST>
    How can this be handled as XI will interpret the '<' as XML tag and give an error when it encounters this.

    When you use the content conversion of the file adapter, the characters < and > are escaped automatically.
    When you want to write your own conversion module, you have to do the escaping by your own, if you want the '<' to be treated as a character. You can leave the < unescaped, when you want to treat it as a tag.

  • Flat file extraction with FILE

    Hi BWers,
    I want to extract a flat file to BW with an infopackage.
    This flat file is located in a physical path changing according to the system :
    - in the developpment server, path is :
    ...\dev\file.csv
    - in the quality server, path is :
    ...\qual\file.csv
    - in the production server, path is :
    ...\prod\file.csv
    In the Name of the File into the infopackage extraction tab, i have to put the physical path or the logical file or routine.
    I don't want to put directly the physical path, because i would have to change this path in qual and prod servers.
    I don't want too to use a routine.
    So I created a logical file with FILE T-code. But in physical path i put :
    ...\dev\<FILENAME>
    How to put a directory variable like that : $(director)<filename> which says : if we are in Dev, so $directory =
    ...\dev\file, else qual...
    Thanks for help.
    Cheers,

    Hi,
    Here is the answer i found:
    Use in  FILE\Assignment of Physical Paths to Logical Path the variable like that:
    <V=Z_INT_SRV>
    Declare this variables in Definition of Variables.
    Z_INT_SRV

  • Flat file conversion from source to destination

    Hi
    I'm new to SAP and was wondering if someone could help me with the following:
    Have a source text file (fields are FirstName and LastName) and would like to run it through PI and get an output as a flat file with the FullName and LastName concaternated.
    Example:
    SourceFile.txt:
    Jason
    Gates
    TargetFile.txt:
    Jason Gates
    The mapping is working if I test it using the test feature in Enterprise Services Builder's test mapping feature without any files.
    How can I execute the mapping using plain text flat files?
    Thanks in advance!
    Additional information:
    Source file has structure:
    First Name
    Last Name
    Target file has structure:
    Full name
    The object is to:

  • Document library: File name with spaces at EOF

    I noticed a strange issue with uploading files with space at end of file (example "ABC  .xlsx"). Such files are allowed to be uploaded for the first time but when the end user (with contribute permission) tries to upload the same file again
    (overwrite) then it uploads the file and goes to the next dialog box where properties for the form is collected (EditForm) and then when user tries to hit save, he gets "Sorry this site is not shared with you" error. The owners (with Full control
    permission) get the error message that the file needs to be renamed.
    This does not happen with files having proper names. The files are automatically overwritten as expected.
    Is it a SharePoint bug or am I missing something ?

    Hi Prakash,
    When we upload a document which contains spaces at the end of the file name, then SharePoint will trim out the spaces in the Edit Item Form, so the name for this document should be “ABC.xlsx”.
    When we re-upload the document to SharePoint, because of that extra space it sees the filename(ABC  .xlsx) as different to the existing document (ABC.xlsx) so it adds it as a new document.
    And in the edit item form, the space has been trimmed out. Because there is already a document with that filename in the document library, it throws the error.
    So this issue is by design that SharePoint uploads the document first and then edit the properties of the document.
