Hands-free audio gateway (3250)

Hello!
How do I use the handsfree audio gateway profile on my 3250? I have installed the widcomm stack. When I click the 'Hands-free Audio gateway on 3250' icon, my phone reports a connection and correctly displays a headset icon, but it does NOT send the audio over to my PC! Instead, it just operates in 'phone' mode. Selecting speaker or anything like that in the menu during the call does not work. Am I doing something wrong?

Hmmm.. It does work sometimes when I connect the service from my PC to my phone. But I cannot connect from my phone to my PC using the bluetooth menu...

  • W530: Bluetooth hands-free audio problem

    Hello,
I have a W530 (2438.2HU) and lately I noticed that the Bluetooth Hands-free Audio driver is disabled. The Device Manageer section for this driver states that
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
I went to the Lenovo driver download site; but couldn't figure out which driver to download. Could someone, please, tell me exactly which driver I have to download to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

    Hi @felixchip
What do you have connected via Bluetooth? Did you try the troubleshooting steps from the link in the previous thread we were working on? Is that how you got the Bluetooth error? Does the sound work when you plug in a set of headphones? Try installing your IDT High-Definition Audio driver and let me know if you get an error message when installing it.

  • Dv6700 audio is bluetooth hands-free audio only

Seems a common post here, but I found no answers.  I have tried what seems to be everything.  My sound stopped working.  The speakers listed are my bluetooth hands-free audio, which it seems are not sufficient to actually produce any sound in HP.  I don't know what happened to my other drivers.  I tried downloading Realtek and it downloads but will not work.  I tried downloading Conexant and it downloads, but gives a failure message saying that the device is not detected.
I tried a system restore and soundworked briefly, then stopped again.
    My Dv6700 is CTO.  P/n is GW772AV.
I have tried going back to several restore points and it never seems to work.
The sound does not work through headphones either.
Microphone also only has Bluetooth hands-free audio.
I run Windows Vista 32-bit and have installed all of the "critical" updates and some of the recommended ones - although honestly I don't know which ones.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • Send hands free audio to 4S from 4 or iPad 2- SIMPLE PROCESS ONLY ( if any)

I communicate w/ person owning 4s iPhone.  I communicate with iPhone 4 and iPad  through iMessage -is there simple way to send audio message for hands free retrieval to 4S unit? And how if so, can they  SIMPLY  retrieve and return.

It's not clear what you mean by this. You may want to re-phrase the question.
I suspect the answer is no. You can't do that at all, much less simply.

  • HELP !!! hands free paring bb bluetooth with car stereo 2011 kia sorento

I was able to pair my bb 8530 curve with my kia sorento 2011 car stereo via Bluetooth,  but  once  I leave the car, and come back the connections  always  fail.
I do have my Bluetooth "discoverable"
on my option settings I have only check mark "hands free", "audio source" & "A/v source"

this are the instructioin I used to  fixed it. In Bluetooth Options unchecked all items on the Services list except Handsfree. The then deleted the Kia from the BB and the BB from the Kia. I then paired again, in options on the BB I changed Discoverable to "No" and then on BB in Sorento Device Properties change Encryption to "Disabled". This has worked almost 2 weeks now with no new issues.

  • Car audio not connecting via Bluetooth therefore Hands free does not work

How long before Apple fixes something they broke by new OS.
Here in the UK it is illegal to use a phone whilst driving unless your using a Hands Free device.  My Panasonic 4600 worked perfectly until OS 8 upgrade and now voice command is broken.  I have read many other blogs etc with different car and radio owners have the same problem.  So Apple, how long before you make us legal users again?

Apple aren't going to budge, are they? You'd be more likely finding an OS update for your car! Take it into your dealer; if it's a widespread issue, they'll probably have/be working on a patch

  • Is there a way to disable stereo bluetooth in OS3 but keep Hands Free?

    Hi All,
I've been a huge fan of my 3G since purchasing it last September and have adored it even more since buying my 2009 Acura TSX. The car and phone seemed built for eachother and have worked seamlessly together since I bought the car in November. Unfortunately, while I also enjoy many of the OS3 upgrades, the OS has made my in-car experience very challenging.
The TSX has a built-in iPod connector that allows the stereo system to see and control most of the iPod functions (playlists, artists, albums, songs, etc.). The car also supports Hands-free Bluetooth for the phone functions simultaneously. Before the OS3 upgrade, all I had to do was simply plug the iPod connector into the phone, set the stereo to iPod and I was set. Since the OS3 upgrade, it seems that as soon as the phone detects the presence of ANY bluetooth network (presuming my Hands Free), it defaults the audio output to stereo bluetooth rather than the iPod connector. This forces me to have to go into the phone, navigate to the iPod app, select the audio output icon and then select the connector to get the audio to come through the stereo. One day when I own a car stereo that supports stereo bluetooth, I'll be thrilled to know this feature is available, however, presently, I'm dying for the ability to just turn this feature off (like WiFi, except that I need the Hands Free bluetooth capabilities for the phone to remain on). Just tell me how to set the default for audio output to be via the connector as it was before the OS3 upgrade and I'm set.
Also, before OS3, calls would automatically mute the audio coming from the phone and yet this doesn't seem to happen now - or at least not as seamlessly as it did before. I haven't had a lot of examples of this occurrence to confirm the behavior but it's definitely happened at least once (music keeps playing after the call starts) and I presume it's related.
Thanks for any help/guidance you can provide. This is my only real complaint with the phone especially since it represents a loss of convenience and functionality for me.
    Mike

    Hi Chuckee63,
Thanks for the reply. Like you I eventually stumbled into the slow-down-and-wait solution as well. That has been serving me for about a month now. It's still annoying, though (I'm sure you'll agree) if you stop someplace quickly, leave the phone and get back in the car and have to disconnect and reconnect the phone.
You're right about the TSX stereo supporting Bluetooth. I mistakenly thought it didn't when I wrote my original post. The Bluetooth option in the car is interesting. It's cool that it "kinda" works, but the next and previous options don't work and I occasionally get interference when listening via that method. I hate the lack of control I have via the stereo bluetooth interface. I also am rather disappointed with how much of an inconvenience got introduced with the iPhone OS3 upgrade. It was just about perfect beforehand.
Anyhow, thanks for the response. Let's keep eachother informed if we have any other breakthroughs/better work-arounds!
    Mike

I can hear caller but he can't hear me except on hands free and speaker phone, hoew to fix this problem

    Hi Shirley,
    Long shot, but...
Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.

Try unpairing the iPhone 3GS from your Cadillac, then try pairing the iPhone 5 again.
You can find more troubleshooting info in this Apple doc -> iOS: Troubleshooting car stereo connections
Also, iOS 6 uses AVRCP 1.4 so you may need to update the reciever in the car to make it compatible with with all versions of ACRCP.

  • IPhone 4:  Bluetooth Issues - Hands Free Phone in vehicle

    All,
This is my first Apple post.  I usually go out and Google and find/figure things out on my own, but I am stumped!
I recently upgraded my wife to an iPhone 4 16gb Black from an iPhone 3GS 8gb.  With the 3GS, we were able to pair the phone with our 2011 Toyota Highlander with bluetooth capability, giving me nearly 9 month pregnant wife the ability to stream audio to her stereo, but more importantly she was able to make/receive calls in her car using the hands free.
We were able to go through the setup like we did with the 3GS to pair it.  It pairs up just fine.  However, the only thing that works is the audio streaming.  She cannot access the phone for calling/receiving calls with the vehicle.  When a call comes in, I remember the 3GS having a bluetooth headset option that showed up, but as long as the bluetooth was on in the car, the stereo would automatically pick up the call and she could talk to the car and hear the call through the speakers.
I have read that the iPhone 4 had bluetooth issues with older IOS versions, but she is on 4.3.3 currently.  Again, audio streaming her music works, just not the phone.  What gives?

    Hey Shane!
You could always try going to Toyota and see if there is a firmware upgrade available for your car.  Even though your car is new, there are always firmware releases available.
New Phones don't always work with older firmwares in new Car Stereos.  With Technology changing everyday you want to make sure your always update on all devices involded.

  • HT204368 Using iPhone 4S in car for hands-free calling

I am having real trouble using my iPhone 4 S to make hands-free calls from the car. The combined earpiece and microphone I have always used without problem on my Nokia keeps getting silly results with Siri!
I just want to be able to make and receive calls using my Contacts List, and get Siri to recognise my voice when I ask for someone on the Contact list!
If I say I want to speak to 'Stephen Farley' it will come back with 'I don't see Stephen Bali in your contact list'!
Maybe I am doing something wrong?!
Also, will the 'voice regonition' work if Siri isn't working because it's out of contact with the internet?
I just need a simple connnection to my Contact List, without all the fancy options of Siri  - which are just a pain!
    Any help gratefully received!
    I

I have one of those stereos bought from Ebay, no badge, no name, and with multitude of functions, and a mic attached to my visor. Once it is paired with Iphone, all my music and calls go through the car stereo.
for applications that do not direct Audio through BT such as CoPilot (GPS navigation) I connect the Iphone through headset socket and into the stereo AUX input and works great (all sounds, voice, calls) go through it. One disadvantage of this method is that I can't listen to the radio. Well you cannot have it all. Or perhaps there is a Radio application where it plays in the background while I still use my GPS application.

  • N95 used with new Honda CRV Hands Free Kit

I'm using a N95 with Honda's built in Hands Free Voice Activated Bluetooth kit.
I've paired the phone with the car & everything works fine. When I press the call button on the stearing wheel & say the voice tag that I have recorded on the cars system the call is made through the car kit.
The problem is that you can only store a measly 50 voice tags on the car's system, which is not much use for business users, so other numbers have to be dialed from the phone it's self.
When you dial a number on the phone & press send it doesn't connect with the car kit & the call stays with the phone. I've discovered that once the call is answered you can select options on the phone & transfer the call to the blue tooth kit, but by the time you've managed that (& it doesn't always work first time !), half the people you've rang have put the phone down !
Am I missing something really silly here ?
How do I get the call when initiated from the phone to go through the car's system without having to press buttons.
I'd be very grateful if anyone has any ideas as the Honda garage & Honda themselves haven't !

    Hi
Your "work around" is the only solution I've been able to come up with as well - as you say - hardly hands free, but the only way you can get it to make a call that isn't in the cars 50x misely voice tag memory.
Have you noticed also that when you first start the car, it hardly ever understands your first voice comand ? It's as if the car has to load the software before it can work. It's the same with voice commands for the audio, climate control & sat nav - I think the woman behind the dash board falls asleep & has to be woke up every time you set off !!! Once you've used it once she is back up to speed till you switch off & re-start the engine.
With regard to the noise levels in the car & people not hearing you above 40 mph I have exactly the same problem, my garage have changed the mic on my car kit & it made no difference at all !!! I also had a modification made to the wing mirrors to cut down the wind noise (have you had this done ?) but every day someone tells me I sound as if I'm speaking from the bottom of a pit !!!
Other car kits I've had over the years have worked fine with good clarity both ways & cost a lot less.
It could be such a good system with just a few tweeks !!

  • IPhone Map & Tom Tom iPhone hands-free kit

Hi everyone - can anyone help me with this teaser?
I recently bought a Tom Tom hands-free kit to use my iPhone 4S in my car.  I am having trouble with audio...  I have been able to connect the phone with the TT unit via Bluetooth, and after talking to the TT help-line, I chose this setting; Settings>General>Accessibility>Incoming Calls>Headset, but I am still having trouble.
The only audio I can hear via the TT speaker is the phone and Siri.  All the other audio is either muted (no Music at all!) or else comes over the phone speaker.  While it's a reliaf to be able to use the phone 'hands-free' the main reason I bought the unit in the first place was to use the turn-by-turn directions available from the Maps app, and the voice via the phone speaker is too quiet to be audible while I'm driving - does anyone know which settings need tweaking so I can hear the turn-by-turn voice via the TT unit speaker?

I have just spent a few quiet ( ) minutes going through settings, sitting in the car, and can report that the 'Tom Tom Hands Free' option appears both in the Map app and the Music app, but even though I can pop a tick against it, it don't come out of the TT speaker...

  • Hand Free Link when in Maps

When I get in my Honda accord and my iphone 6 links up via bluetooth, then use maps, it always defaults to giving map directions via the hands free link (honda speaker system).  Each time I start a map I can click on microphone and tell it to use iphone rather than hands free link.  Is there a way that I can set things up so that it always defaults to iphone?  Also when I use google maps, I would also like it to use iphone for audio.  Can't find out how to change this in google maps.
Also, is google maps more reliable than the iphone maps?

    Just as a side question:
Have you ever loaded a tracklog containing different tracks belonging to more than 1 month?
This is what a tracklog with tracks from 10/14/2011 to 11/07/2011 looks like here:
