Has anyone actually had a MacBook charger last them more than 2 years??

I've had 3 MacBooks, an iMac, iPhones, iPads and iPods and the one thing that consistently lets Apple down is the chargers for MacBooks. I've had them before and after the magnetic version but each time the problem lies with the plug end. Hey, for a charger, it's pretty slick but I'd sacrifice a slightly less cool looking charger for one that doesn't snap after 18 months please??

I have 5 chargers, two I carry for mobile use, and three sitting at places where I use my Airs frequently. I have had zero problems with cord ends for 5+ years. Albeit, I did have one charger fail a couple of years ago, but it was unrelated to the cord(s).
I am of the alternate variety viewpoint. I don't see how people are breaking theirs, provided they are given minimal care. I wonder if some people are abusing them, and not realizing it.
Firstly, I don't use the ghastly built-in cord wrapper claw. I loosely coil the cables and use velcro strips to secure the coils. Then I pack the adapters in a large enough pouch that affords transport in a configuration that doesn't kink any of the ends.

Has anyone else had Library incorrectly group photos in the wrong year?

I have just noticed, after installing iPhoto 06, that the app has sorted over 4,000 of my pics in to a '2006' folder. I like taking photos but not 4,000 in 34 days! Nearly all these photos were taken in 2005 (there are separate folders in my library for 2005, '04, '03 and earlier).
I tried moving the pics in to the correct year folder but that did not work. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I have a similar (maybe same) problem. I just got a new iMac and imported 9000 images from my external harddrive. Images had been accessed via my WIndox XP computer.
iPhoto imported images but put several hundred pictures into the wrong "year" folder. 300 pics taken on a 2001 vacation were put into a year 2000 folder (didn't even have a camera in 2000). Some pics taken in 2001 were put into the 2002 folder.
Can I manually take the pictures from the original/modified 2000 folder and move them into the 2001 folder, ... ?
Anyone?

I did get a phone call after a few days and it did end up as a useful conversation.
I do think though that there should be contact numbers so that developers can actually ring a named individual in the App Review Team. I was really surprised that the Apple switchboard said that they were unable to connect incoming callers to specific teams or members of staff. As a Customer Service experience it seems pretty poor.
Anyway, the member of staff in the Review Team was helpful and we are making some of the suggested changes and resubmitting the App.
In terms of ePub functionality, it actually can't do everything the App can do as there is no way within an ePub of changing navigation based on whether you are using an iPhone or iPad. There are a lot of things you can do (in fact you can build an HTML5 app within an ePub if you want) but whether an ePub format is appropriate for all the things you can do is another matter. That is a discussion for another day ...

Has anyone else had a spam email telling them that there has been an additional person authorised to use their iTunes account, which then takes you to a website called westendfootcarecentre.ca which asks you to give all your bank details?

I have just had an email to my alternative email account telling me I have a new user registered to use my itunes account
it goes onto take me to a website called westendfootcare.ca which asks me to confirm my apple id and password
and then asks me for all my bank details
i think this is a spam email and a dodgy way of getting my bank details so i have gone ont the apple website and changed my password

Has anyone ever had an iPhone freeze on them?

My iphone 5 froze on me twice since installing the 7.1 update. It happens in the lock screen. the pull-up that shows Airplane, WiFi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb, Lock Rotation will only give me about a quarter inch up and no further. All other functions stop such as pulling down that bit of the pull-up, swiping sideways to put password in, etc. My old crappy Samsung products used to freeze all the time.
Turning it off then on again does correct the immediate problem BUT.....

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...

I too have been unable to open Nemo's Reef properly since January 31 2014. I have used it without problems since August 2013. I recall it self updated around midday and then ever since it's failed to get beyond the opening page of what's in the reef. If I tap the back button it goes back to the iPad screen of apps. If I tap to buy a suggested plant it also disappears from the screen. However I have managed to collect my pearl gifts/sand dollars daily on that initial screen.
I just cannot buy a plant or get out of this screen without the crash. Just going nowhere.
Rather frustrating at level 37 and about £80 overall spent in pearls to build the reef and get beautiful fish whilst recovering from surgery past six months. I have found the game very calming. I've really enjoyed this game which past level 8 is surely intended for adults and more strategic play.
This morning I switched on and there was instead a full screen advert. I hit the x button and it just crashed again. Now it shows my own reef on loading, but instantly crashes even faster.
Is this an iPad problem or an apple problem. From an Apple point of view FWIW I have noticed my screen gets very hot when playing games such as Bejewelled Blitz too.
It would be good to know if others have this nemo or/ and overheating iPad problem too. What is the solution?

In any case you should try a Reset of the iPhone by depressing the Sleep button and the Home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears then wait for the Reset to bring your iPhone back to the Lock-Screen.

try a new/fresh apple brand cable and make sure it is the only usb cable in use. this worked for me, i noticed i had no problem with a lighting cable. i did a restore from scratch and from backup and it did not help me...and if you cant sync than you wont be able to get anything but apps back after the restore

since i got my ipod and itunes updated, ive had nothing but problems with my ipod. sometimes it freezes, and when i connect it to the computer its all of a sudden corrupted. Sometimes this happens when i connect it to my computer to charge, and gets stuck on the do not disconnect screen. Sometimes ill be listening to music or watching something on my ipod and itll turn off randomly for no reason, then the apple symbol will come on as if i turned the ipod on again. Right now my ipod is frozen on the do not disconnect screen, and i have no choice but to restore it, however it wont even show up on itunes when its frozen sometimes, like right now. Has anyone else had problems since the latest ipod update?

I've tried everything others have suggested without any luck.
Now I'm stuck with a 300 bucks mp3 jalopy.
My big question here is :
why aren't we hearing from apple? why aren't they saying something like "yeah we messed things up but be patient. we are trying our best to fix it..." ?
I was thinking to buy the macbook pro but now I'm afraid of the day things will get messy with that too.

Has anyone else had the day view crash calendar in iOS 7.1 on iPad Air?

I recently updated to iOS 7.1 on my iPad Air (128 GB cellular). When I go to the calendar app and select the new "Day" view, the calendar app crashes.
I have iCloud calendar and two Google calendars syncing with the device. When I disable all calendars from syncing, I no longer experience a crash in the "Day" view.
Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Switching to day view doesn't crash calendar but I can't launch the calendar app in iOS 7.1 (on my iPad 2) if synch is in and it was last in day view. It crashes on launch.
