Has anyone deployed in production using SOASuite ?

Just want to check if anyone is using ESB / Oracle BPEL in production.
Lately we have been facing some issues and we r wondering if we should cut our losses or is it worth continuing ?

I also put a lot of weight in Tom’s posts; I am however convinced that contacting Oracle Support is a better solution for direct, bug related questions. I do, for example not doubt that his human tasks did not work when put in parallel flows. There might be workarounds, such as putting the human workflow stuff in a separate service, but to me sounds like a bug and bugs should be reported, analyzed, and fixed.
As you can see from my profile, I do not live in Poland so I do not know about the training situation there, but I have, personally, delivered five SOA Suite classes so far during 2007 and I know that I am not the only one running SOA training in Sweden. I might be wrong, but based on my own experience, I have assumed that the lack of training that Tom is experiencing is due to communication problems, and that contacting Oracle Education would sort things out. (Training in Europe tends to be given in the local language. A quick look at the web shows that the next 5 day SOA Suite training in Poland seems to be scheduled for November 19th.)
On the topic of frequent changes in interfaces as mentioned above, I agree that an update of the table structure in a database must never cause business process updates. If that is the case, the architecture most likely suffers from tight coupling. I never recommend anyone to use adapters direct from BPEL try to but use (coarse gained) services published on the service bus as much as possible to avoid such problems. For an introduction to SOA best practices see (for example) Dave Schaffer’s 7 Steps to SOA in SOA World Magazine.
I am sorry if you feel that my posts are not providing the level of support you where hoping to find. Perhaps it is our expectations community/forums vs official product support that differs. Regarding whether Oracle has figured it out or not, you do not have to trust me – take a look at what InfoWorld or Forrester are saying.

Has anyone deployed a converged access network architecture with 3850 switches and 5760 WLCs? I have done lots of projects with the 5508 WLCs In a centralized deployment. Basically with this design, I manage 2 logical networks as the wireless network is an overlay over the wired network. I can design firewall to segregate traffic between the wired and wireless hence I can carry both staff and guest traffic.
Now Cisco is telling us that there is new design such that the dats plane traffic can be dropped locally through the 3850 switched. I am not sold on this and have not found any recommended best practices on when should we use a converged access architecture.
Pros
With converged access, data traffic is terminated at the MA which is on the switches, hence the WLC will not be a bottleneck? This is to prepare adoption for 802.11ac?
Less hops for voice calls from user A to user B as data control traffic is dropped locally.
Cons
Now how do I segregate guest and staff traffic if my security folks say I need a firewall?
Troubleshooting wireless client mobility will be a nightmare as the 3850 switches are MA.
Pushing and upgrading code for the Code will mean upgrading the stack of switches in the LAN riser. This will be painful in a huge campus environment like an university.
Can someone convince me why would a customer choose converged access?

They choose CA because of the capwap termination at the switch. You can still use a 5508 and tunnel guest to a DMZ segment if you wish. You will need a 5508 though is you want to tunnel traffic to an anchor WLC.

Yes, I had a problem where I could not open an existing data file. And I have a solution. (I found on Whirlpool.)
Do NOT click Yes to use an existing data file. Instead go to File in the Menu Bar and open an (the) existing file from last used list. Good luck! I hope the ATO can get these issues sorted. ETax for Mac has been a long time coming.

Using LabVIEW 2014 DS, and MSSQL 2008R2.
I have configured a table with identity, so the indexed will be incremented automatically.
I am trying to get the ID of the last Insert command that I am using.
I am trying to SELECT SCOPE_IDENTITY() but with no success.
I read about trying to so it with a procedure or transaction, but I just could not succeed myself.
Has anyone ever succeeded to use the scope_identity() from the LabVIEW DB toolkit ?
If yes, can you please elaborate more or even share the code ?

Yes I have...let me dig out some code...
I do my INSERT query (with a semicolon at the end) and in the same query string do a "SELECT SCOPE_IDENTITY() as inserted_id;" - essentially what you're doing here is running two queries in one - one to insert your data and the second to retrieve the ID. From what I remember of when I did this (last year?), I think scope_identity() is valid for the same connection so as you're doing both queries in the same connection it should always be valid.
I then do this to get the ID (pardon the crappy VI snippet):
Essentially I execute the query and the result is a 2D array that contains one row/column which is your last inserted ID.

Has anyone enabled time machine using a link sys router and external hard drive? And if so how? I have a Linksys E4200 wireless router with a usb port on it. I also have a Western Digital Elements 1TB external hard drive. I would like to be able to use this hard drive with time machine. Has anyone done so and if so how can I do so?

You might get some responses, but we don't see many Linksys users on an Apple forum so it may be awhile before you see an answer.
It might be useful to point out that Apple does not even support Time Machine backups to the USB port on their own AirPort Extreme wireless router, so we may be heading down a very slippery slope here.
I've tried Time Machine backups on an AirPort Extreme router a number of times in the past. It's just not reliable. Works for awhile, then has corruption problems. Or has corruption issues immediately. I once went a month or so and thought I had it nailed, then got smacked with a corrupted set of backups again.
But, I guess you never know. It might work on the Linksys. If you decide to try this, I would suggest that you have another backup plan in place for your important data.
Hope that some Linksys users will respond so we can all learn.

Has anyone deployed Oracle Identity Analytics applciation in Websphere?

I am facing an issue in accessing the deployed application.I have deployed the application on the default virtual hosts The appserver logs does not show any errors but the application could not be accessed using the url. Below is the URL i am using.

Has anyone else had difficulty using WPA2 Internet sharing with their Apple TV? Any solutions?

I've seen references to this on here, but no solutions.
I use my 27" 2010 iMac to share Internet in my home, latest versions of OSX and iOS.. Works fine, sharing with iPhones, an iPad and my Apple TV 2.
Recently though, I changed to WPA2, and the Apple TV can't see Home Sharing is on. If I switch security (ie WPA2) off, then it can see it again.
So has anyone found a way to use WPA2 successfully with their Apple TV?

Unfortunately you have a lot of very questionable old, incompatible, and probably bad software on your Mac that is not playing well with Mavericks. Some of these can be difficult to uninstall, particularly if you are not familiar with poking around in Mac system folders.
You might consider cutting to the chase and doing a clean install:
backup your documents and passwords, network settings, etc.
Completely erase your hard drive
Reinstall mavericks and your apps from scratch (not from backups)
and finally replacing your documents.
It can be a good thing. Spring cleaning. If you want to go this route, let me know, I can give you some more detailed suggestions for how to do it. The advantage is you can get Mavericks running really fast and reliably, and then be more selective about what you reinstall. A lot of the stuff you have on there is probably from apps you don't even use anymore (like for your Blackberry), or that really aren't necessary.

Has anyone ever ran Logic using VMWare Workstation on a Windows PC?

Has anyone ever emulated Mac OS X and used Logic on their x86 Microsoft Windows systems? I was thinking about doing this to use some synths and stuff with some Windows designed software. I'm not sure if it is possible to use both operating systems at the same time with VMWare Workstation operating system emulator. Help me out guys. Has anyone ever done it? Can it be done?

VMWare Workstation will not run the client version of Mac OS X in emulation, and likely won't run Mac OS X Server either.

Has anyone had power problems using Entune ?

When I use the Entune app in my Toyota and then shut it off and leave the car it appears to leave something running which exhausts the battery on my iPhone 5 and my old iPhone 4 in a few hours. Has anyone else had the same experience? Do you have any other solution than powering the iPhone down and rebooting?

Judging from the posts I see on here it seems that most Leopard problems are with iMacs and laptops. I have a Power Mac G5 and I haven't yet had any major problems. Has anyone else using a Power Mac G5 had any issues that I should watch out for?

I installed Leopard this weekend on a 2x2 G5, and I have problems serious problems. The first is that Leopard is not compatible with Apple's iPhoto version 2.x, but Apple did not publish this information.
Secondly, and more seriously, now I cannot even power up the computer. Only two hours ago I was working with an Apple tech rep over the phone to debug the iPhoto problem. We deleted some iPhoto files and did some unusual reboots. A Now I can not power up the CPU. The power light is flashing, and I cannot restart the pram.
I have been on hold with apple support for over an hour. Watch out for their voice activate phone system, it will desktop users to the laptop group even though I said "desktop".

The RAC cluster will be 3 8 core servers with 256 Gb RAM and fiber attached EMC storage. We've met with the EMC reps and they are touting their tiered stroage solution called FAST VP. They use a mix of SSD, Fiber Channel and SATA devices and supposedly the SAN 'migrates seamlessly the data amongst these devices by activity'. my concern is that this is a DSS environement with little or no frequently accessed data to warm up into either cache or 'hot' storage. Our workload is characterised by massive parallel queries that do full table scans. I can't see how FAST VP will work to our advantidge in this envriorment and wanted to reach out and see if other DBA's are using this technology and what their perceptions are.
