Has anyone ever solved the OID problem on redhat 8

I have noted the OID assistant failing on RedHat 8 problem discussed in a number of threads in this forum but haven't seen anyone with a clear solution. Her is how far I have gotten.

Have wasted alot of time here. Should I just go to SUSE, or back to SUN. Thanks for your help.

There has been a lot of that lately, try following the instructions of tt2 in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5822086 to fix it.

    Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
    How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
    Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
    In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?

  • I recently updated my 4s to the newest IOS and I now cannot turn on Wi-fi. HAs anyone esle had the same problem?  Is there a fix?

    I recently updated my Iphone 4s to the newest IOS and I now cannot turn on Wi-fi. Has anyone esle had the same problem?  Is there a fix? I've tries restoring to a previous software update, but it appears the wi-fi was completely disabled and I do not have the ability to turn it on.

    Apple is aware of the issue and is expected to release 7.0.3 next week to address iMessage issues.
    In the meantime I have found that a good old fashion reset cures it for a while.

    Has anyone ever experienced the situation where plugging in the USB connector to the charging source (high-power USB port or Apple charger) halfway, then pressing it in firmly, results in the iPad not charging?

    It's highly likely that there is a poor connection in the phone - either a pin in the dock connector or internal wiring harness.  No software fixes or "tricks" would work, but I would recommend restoring in iTunes, first using a backup and if needed restore as a new phone.
    Otherwise, opening and repairing the phone takes some tech knowledge that can't be relayed here.  Apple doesn't repair phones other than replacing batteries (not inconceivable that you have a bad battery), but offers "out-of-warranty" replacement (refurb) phones for $149 (US).  3rd party iPhone repair centers may be able to fix it for less.  Google to find them,
    Tried soft and hard resets
    FYI, there's no such thing as "soft" or "hard" resets in iPhone terminology.  There is only one phone reset. You'll see those terms thrown around by technically ignorant posters, but they mean different things to different people and are actually archaic, 1980s PC terms that have nothing to do with iPhones.

    I set up the primary language to English while initializing the MBP, but at the log-in page, the language appears to be a foreign language I don't use, after restart, the language turned into English, has anyone come across the same problem, and is that normal?

    i have a similar problem...It seems to be tied to my guest account. It is set to Japanese as primary language but my main login is set to English. I tried changing the guest account to english but the change won't hold. It always reverts to Japanese.

  • I use an iMac (27" 3.4) and have problems with the Magic Mouse. It does not use contact, but opens useless and unrelated submenus with every click, even on the empty desktop. I can't shift, open or close pages. Has anyone out there the same problem?

    I use an iMac 27" (mid 2011). Until recently I had OSX 10.6.8 installed, but both, the HDD and SSD had to be replaced, and I lost all the memory.
    After the repair through Apple Care I had OSX 10.7.5. (Lion) installed, which developed a Magic Mouse problem.
    Unlike with most users, I have no problems with connection, but grapple with a different kind of erratic behaviour.
    All fancy stuff is turned off in the mouse preferences. When I try to move, open or close pages, unrelated submenus pop up and hinder the
    required task. No matter how often I click, these menus stay there, and they even come up when clicking on the bare desktop.
    It renders the mouse absolutely useless, as no work can be done with it.
    The first 'Magic Mouse' had depleted batteries every few days, despite switching it off after use.
    I was supplied a new Mouse, which does better battery-wise, but the problems are the same. I can't get a result by clicking on any link, due to
    the pop-up menus, so both 'Magic Mice' are totally useless.
    At present I am using the old USB mouse from my Mac Pro, and that works still o.k.
    The problem are not the mice, but the software. The first 2 weeks after installation of OSX 10.7.5 the Magic Mouse worked though.
    I have no idea as to what the reason may be.
    Has anyone in the community ever experienced that particular problem. Any hint would be welcomed.
    Thank you!

    Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
    Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
    I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!
    Thanks for the advice, Bee
    Cheers, Gerd

  • My 5s's data has been running dirt slow! Phone company says it's a hardware issue. Has anyone else had the same problem?

    I've had my iphone 5s since Oct. Since I've had it, it will go through these periods where the data just slows to a crawl. So slow that I can't even access the App store until I get back around wi-fi. And this is in areas that I am recieving full signal and it's indicating that I have access to 4G. My wife has the same company, but has an iphone 5 and has not been having this problem. I called the phone comany and they advised me that it's likely a hardware issue. Has anyone had a similar problem with the 5s? If so, what can I do?

    As silly as it may seem, I have had success simply turning my phone completely off and then back on again.  I was using an iPhone 5 on Sprint and would run into this issue a couple of times a month.  I would see the data indicator on my phone switching from 3G to 1x and back again several times over a few minutes while just sitting still.  This would happen regardless of whether or not I had a full strength signal or not.  (Remeber that if your signal strength is below 2 bars,dots,etc, you will not get great data speeds).
    Try rebooting the phone.  If this does not help, pay close attention to the signal strength meter at the top of the phone.  If you and your wife are on the same carrier and it turns out you get different signal strengths while standing in the same location, you may have a problem with your phones antenna.
    If these suggestions do not help, post back to the discussion.

  • Has anyone else had the same problem with SYSMAN password resetting?

    I am a Oracle Support Administrator and have posted a SR with Metalink and just wanted to ask the community if they have had any of the same problems.
    I am remotely accessing a customers Grid Control via VMWare software and over the past couple of weeks I have been trying to access GC with the Sysman user. The password seems to be either resetting itself or there is a bug in the system. I have checked to see if there is a expiration script running or something similar with no result. It is definitely being altered somehow at the Grid Con end of things. I checked to see if it was resetting in the emon.properties file in the oracle home, this was not the case. So am really stuck.
    I have to change the password via SQL+ for it to come back online.
    Any ideas or suggestions would be grateful .
    Thanks all.

    just follow this....

    9.2 Changing the SYSMAN Password
    The SYSMAN account is the default super user account used to set up and administer Enterprise Manager. It is also the database account that owns the objects stored in the Oracle Management Repository. From this account, you can set up additional administrator accounts and set up Enterprise Manager for use in your organization.
    The SYSMAN account is created automatically in the Management Repository database during the Enterprise Manager installation. You also provide a password for the SYSMAN account during the installation.
    See Also:
    Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control Installation and Basic Configuration for information about installing Enterprise Manager
    If you later need to change the SYSMAN database account password, use the following procedure:
    Shut down all the Oracle Management Service instances that are associated with the Management Repository.
    See Also:
    "Controlling the Oracle Management Service"
    Change the password of the SYSMAN database account using the following SQL*Plus commands:
    SQL>connect sysman/oldpassword;
    SQL>alter user sysman identified by newpassword;
    For each Management Service associated with the Management Repository, locate the emoms.properties configuration file.
    The emoms.properties file can be found in the following directory of the Oracle Application Server Home where the Oracle Management Service is installed and deployed:
    IAS_HOME/sysman/config/
    Locate the following entries in the emoms.properties file:
    oracle.sysman.eml.mntr.emdRepPwd=ece067ffc15edc4f
    oracle.sysman.eml.mntr.emdRepPwdEncrypted=TRUE
    Enter your new password in the first entry and enter FALSE in the second entry.
    For example:
    oracle.sysman.eml.mntr.emdRepPwd=new_password
    oracle.sysman.eml.mntr.emdRepPwdEncrypted=FALSE
    Save and exit the emoms.properties file and restart each Management Service associated with the Management Repository.
    In the Grid Control console, click the Targets tab and then click All Targets on the sub tab.
    Select the Management Services and Repository target and click Configure. Enterprise Manager displays the Monitoring Configurations page.
    Enter the new password in the Repository password field and click OK.
    See Also:
    "Specifying New Target Monitoring Credentials"
    After the Management Service has started, you can check the contents of the emoms.properties file to be sure the password you entered has been encrypted.
    For example, the entries should appear as follows:
    oracle.sysman.eml.mntr.emdRepPwd=ece067ffc15edc4f
    oracle.sysman.eml.mntr.emdRepPwdEncrypted=TRUE

    Greg,
    This solved the problem for me.
    "In Compressor, if the "Video Format" is set to "Automatic", Batch Monitor fails (with the "Media Server unexpectedly quit" error).
    changing the Video Format to NTSC and the frame rate to 29.97 (but leaving the Field Dominance on Automatic), the job submits and processes fine."
    Make Video Format PAL and the frame rate 25, if working with PAL sources.

  • Has anyone ever had the glass replaced on an ipod touch

    Has anyone had the glass replaced on an ipod touch?  If so, did you go directly through Apple and was it expensive??

    Apple will not replace the glass.  Instead, they will replace your iPod for a refurbished one for:
    Apple - Support - iPod - Repair pricing
    There are third-party places that may be less expensive.  Here is one.  Google for others.

  • Has anyone ever heard of this problem before?  I challenge you!

    So guys, recent macbook pro that I purchased - 15inch - intel core 2 duo 2.4 ghz. It's been great. Recently, I had noticed that when the computer was running off the battery - the time indicator for the battery life kept changing drastically like 2:30 to 4:40 etc.
    I went and sought the advice of a mac genius at the local apple store. They found that some kernel issue, something software related, was spiking in the activity monitor thereby causing the battery to have to re-evaluate how much time is left rapidly. they said there was nothing wrong with my battery and that I should do an archive and install and see what happens. they also told me they had NEVER heard of this before - which seems impossible - someone has to have experienced this.
    anyways, did the archive and install and when that was completed and my computer was 10.4.9 the problem was fixed! time was back to normal.
    then mindlessly, i went through the required software updates to get me up to speed and then tried the battery again just to make sure if was working - and suddenly it was back to old problem again. So it must be some apple software update that I downloaded? And if it is, somebody must have heard of this before.
    Any help would be much appreciated!
    Thank you,
    Jack

    As I understand it--and this is surely what Retired Engineer was alluding to--your Mac looks at the current battery drainage, combines that with the amount of power in the battery (x%) and computes how much battery time is left. This is why, for example, when you first unplug the computer, the display says "computing" instead of "x:xx time left". But how much power your Mac uses depends on what you are doing. For example, if you let the computer sit, it uses almost no power, and so the computer will show several hours remaining. However, if you then decide to use Disk Utility to "verify disk" or "repair permissions" or something, then suddenly the computer will start spinning and reading the disk, which is rather power intensive, and also it will have to do some computing, which is also power intensive. So display of the amount of time left will drop massively, accordingly, because your Mac battery won't last nearly as long with this amount of usage. But once Disk Utility is done, and the computer is doing nothing again, then your computer will recompute the amount of battery left back to a higher time. And so on.
    As a general rule, the more apps you have running, the more disk activity your are doing, and the more services you have on (e.g. wireless) the less battery time you will have.
    Rosetta translates on-the-fly programs written for PPC processors, used on older Macs, to something that can run on an Intel Mac like the Macbook Pro. This is computationally intensive and so will slow things down. If you look at Apple > About this Mac > More Details > Software you will see what of your applications are Intel or Universal, and therefore running natively (not Rosetta) or PPC (Rosetta). This information may also appear in Activity Monitor. And make sure you have set activity monitor to show all processes, not just yours.
