Has anyone had to abandon their current voice plan when activating iphone?

Has anyone had to change their current voice plan when activating the iphone? I want to get the iphone, but the restrictions are killing me. I can't apply my 24% business discount, no MMS capabilities, no video and the ATT rep told me that I would have to change my current voice plan. The voice plan is the biggest issue. I can live with the others.
I current have a family share plan with 850 anytime minutes (unlimited nights and weekends and M2M) for $59.99/month. This plan is way better than anything ATT is currently offering. Has anyone had to deal with this?

I was told when I bought the phone from the Rep at the AT&T store that I would get a 15% discount off my bill for work.. knowing she sold me an iPhone. Emails have went back and forth since October where she said I had to wait a couple of montsh for it process. After calling AT&T customer service and asking them why that my discount column on the bill shows 0.00 and going to the store I bought it and talking to another rep, they both said it doesn't apply to iPhone accounts. After sending another email to the original rep, she goes back on her word and confirms it's not happening. Thank God its a cool phone, otherwise I'd hang up AT&T over that $15/mo I've been missing out on.

I have a Motorola H700 that pairs with the iphone but takes about 10 seconds after i hit send for the connection between the phone and the headset to be established. I also get allot of static when the headset is more than 3 feet away from the phone. (this headset worked perfectly @ about 40' with a Motorola Razr I had)

    what trouble are you having? if after it says sync complete, and then you click on the eject arrow next to xxxx's ipod and it still says Do not Disconnect after ten minutes?  I just pull the cable. you can shut down the computer first if you want. never done any damage so far.

    Possibly, but what problems?  Any errors?
    If you are really running iOS 3.1.2 as your signature suggests, that is likely the issue.  Many apps now require iOS 4.3 or higher.

    Oh no, Robinbird18! This is not what we like to hear about your cell phone. It makes it pretty hard to have a conversation with someone when you can't hear them. If you make a phone call out are you able to have a conversation with someone without any issues? How long has this been going on? Have you tried to use the phone on speaker phone to see if that works at all?     Has anyone had a problem with their computer recognizing their I phone ? I had to replace my hard drive And reloaded iTunes but know it doesn't recognize my phone but it will download pictures from it?

    I had my HD replaced under the recall program. I am running 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.7 on a 2.8GHz iMac.
    I haven't noticed any significantly different behavior of Safari since having my HD replaced and using Time Machine to restore my data. The only thing I've run across in about 2 weeks is that Safari's Preferences panel takes a bit longer to load than I remember.
    One thing you can try is launching Safari from your computer's main Applications folder. If it still crashes, you can also try downloadng a fresh copy here: http://www.apple.com/support/safari/
    Have you ever checked out Firefox? I personally like it better than Safari because it offers more security options, such as greater control over cookies, and supports many useful privacy and security plugins.

    If it's getting hot you need to replace it,  As a suggestion I would take it later this morning to your local Verizon Corporate and have them look at it and see if they can DOA it,  since the screen is bad and it is getting hot it's considered a Manufacturing issue and since the phone carries a 1 year warranty Hopefully they can give you another Brand new one I'm not going to Guarantee they will they may order you a Certified Good as new one but hopefully the Rep or Manager of the store will understands it's out of your control the phones screen went dead and the phone gets hot,
    So that is what I'd do get some sleep and Later in the morning or afternoon if you can Visit your local store and see what they can do for ya and Let me know on this thread..  I wish ya good luck..   b33

    I had my data on both phones and internet peice at home turned off and got 3 overages within 15 mins of each other .  I calle verizon to help with the situation... but no help.  They said that we were using the data?  I work in a wireless center so i know how to turn it off and I KNOW it was off.  Its ridiclous that my husbands new s4 has used 23 gb of data when he isn't using it that much.  Im stuck now paying a 444 bill because this phone is wacko.  Ive been with them over 3 years.  He just upgraded.  Why wont they try to do something to help... all they say is ma'am  you are using that much data.  Um no we aren't.  STUPID.  Im beginning to HATE!!! verizon.  Im out of contract.  Thinking about closing my account and going with someone cheaper, because I cannot afford a 444 bill every month because they won't help fix the situation.

  • Has anyone had issues with their HP Lightscribe CD/DVD after a sofware update?

    After recently installing software updates from HP and Microsoft my laptop no longer shows the drive with the CD/DVD under Computer. I can install a dvd and hit the Quick Play and it plays fine but it's also a lightscribe dvd burner and I can't send videos or photos to the drive because it's not showing up under the listed drives. Neither are my removable disk flash ports showing up. They were there before the most recent HP and Microsoft security updates installed. When I go to Device Management it shows up there but also shows an error message under the Devices Status: "This device cannot start. (Code 10), Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available."  When I click to check for solutions I get the message back that the device is installed and functioning properly. I also checked the device driver and it's telling me it's the correct and most updated driver. i'm at a loss as I'm not at the point where I'm able to replace this laptop which is used for personal and home business use. Does anyone have a solution other than doing a total recovery? I tried taking it back to just before the last update but they're still not showing up. It's like something wiped them out.

    Yes with some docks and car systems but I do not remember the specific devices. Sometimes and iOS update breaks compatibility.
    Try:
    - Go to the dock manufacturers and see what they say. Also see if there is a firmware available for the dock
    - Reset the dock
    - Sometimes this works:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings      
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

  • Has anyone had issues with their Gyroscope or Accelerometers randomly breaking?

    I had my phone in my purse for a few hours at work and when i took it out again they were no longer working.  I didn't do anything (use, touch, drop, etc.) to the phone in that time period and now my phone gets extremely hot when I'm using it or when I'm charging it and the gyroscope/accelerometer no longer work.  If i try to use the compass app it just goes on the fritz and the iPhone's parallax effect makes everything shake and swirl around like crazy.
    I have a small scratch/chip in the corner of my phone and the Verizon store representative said he wasn't sure if it would be considered damaged or not.  The iPhone is outside of the 1 year warranty.  I'm not sure what to do but i can barely use the phone now

        I understand your predicament radica1! Applications some times fail when system files get corrupted. I have resolved similar issues with my iPhone by doing a hard reset, as this procedure brings the phone back to original factory settings and clears any potential system error.     I have been having issues with my iTunes for about two weeks now with iOS 7, in which the app closes when it is opened. So I tried to fix by updating iOS 7.0.2 but did not work still not opening, just crashes or whatever and I still can't get in. Any advice?!

  • Has anyone had all text messages disappear after upgrading iOS6 on iPhone 4?

    My Text text message screen froze.  I restarted my phone at which time all of my text messages and iMessages were wiped clean.

    Here is an idea, copy your important texts in notes so u can sync them. If you keep texts that long save them that way. I thought all texts were erased after an update anyway, maybe I am wrong but then again I don't keep texts forever.

    First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
