I have a Motorola H700 that pairs with the iphone but takes about 10 seconds after i hit send for the connection between the phone and the headset to be established. I also get allot of static when the headset is more than 3 feet away from the phone. (this headset worked perfectly @ about 40' with a Motorola Razr I had)

I personally don't understand why X-Rite continues to sell this product. The software for it hasn't been updated since version 1.1.1 dated 10/13/2009, about a year after Snow Leopard's release. It's really not much of a surprise it doesn't work all that well in Mavericks.

Oh no, Robinbird18! This is not what we like to hear about your cell phone. It makes it pretty hard to have a conversation with someone when you can't hear them. If you make a phone call out are you able to have a conversation with someone without any issues? How long has this been going on? Has anyone had a problem with their computer recognizing their I phone ? I had to replace my hard drive And reloaded iTunes but know it doesn't recognize my phone but it will download pictures from it?

I had my HD replaced under the recall program. I am running 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.7 on a 2.8GHz iMac.
I haven't noticed any significantly different behavior of Safari since having my HD replaced and using Time Machine to restore my data. The only thing I've run across in about 2 weeks is that Safari's Preferences panel takes a bit longer to load than I remember.
One thing you can try is launching Safari from your computer's main Applications folder. If it still crashes, you can also try downloadng a fresh copy here: http://www.apple.com/support/safari/
Have you ever checked out Firefox? I personally like it better than Safari because it offers more security options, such as greater control over cookies, and supports many useful privacy and security plugins.

Has anyone had trouble with the MacBook Pro Hardcase cover?

I bought a black hardcase cover for my MacBook Pro half a year ago, today i decided to remove it again. When i took it of (after fighting with it) there was dark spots and scratches all over. Has anyone had the same problem? And how should i reacht? If i want to sell the computer now, the price will be much lower that it would be without the scratches.

Like JoeyR said, you can complain to Incase, but I doubt there's anything they will be able to/willing to do about your problem. If the aluminum has been scratched, the only way to get rid of those scratches is to either resurface the metal, or replace the display assembly. The former is not an option, and the latter will be way too expensive. You can give it a go, and try to get Incase to pay for the process. But chances are really low. Just avoid using those hard plastic cases in future. I never use them, and my MBP 15 is as good as new! Just take care of your mac, don't drop it, don't put it in a bag with pins, needles, blades, pens etc ( or use a sleeve) and don't drag it around rough surfaces. That is more than enough to keep the aluminum scratch and dent free. The reason Apple uses Aluminum unibody is because it's tough and durable.

HT4561 Has anyone had trouble updating from 10.6 install discs to the combo 10.6.8 v1.1 using software update?

I've been having all manner of issues with my system, seemingly out of the blue. I just had a third party install a new HDD for me, and I used my snow leopard install disc (the one I bought many years ago, right after it launched), and when I tried to run the software update and install four updates all together, I got a notice that the file didn't download properly and may be corrupted. I'm wondering if this could have caused my system crash after the last clean install.
I'm downloading manually instead of using whatever is in software update just to be safe this time, but I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience?

It's interesting that you were connected via ethernet yet still had a similar issue. I wonder if perhaps our hardware issues that prompted the clean install may have been similar?
When I attempted to run software update again, it seemed to think that it had completed the download for the 10.6.8.v1.1 update, even though it listed it at over 1Gig, and had "completed" after mere seconds. I know my wifi setup isn't THAT good, and even if it were, I've never seen a wireless connection allow for download speeds of that magnitude.
I wonder if there is something missing from the original install discs that causes trouble with network connectivity? This is conjecture, I really don't have a solid working knowledge of the Mac OS X network tools. When i downloaded the intaller package from the website it seemed to resolve all my issues.
My clean install was done on a brand new HDD with a new partition, my unit seems to be functioning normally (for) now. Fingers crossed...I'm a teacher and my system crashed the day before labour day, taking with it a LOT of things I had prepared, and not backed up due to my foolish weekly backup schedule on Time Machine.

Sometimes the button does not register with Firefox. And sometimes FF acts like I pressed it several times.

Sounds like a mouse on its' way to mouse-heaven. Seriously, the exact symptoms I have seen with a dozen 3 button mouse's (?meese - ?mice) over the last 15 years. <br />
Not registering a click is usually due to a dirty contact. And the "double-click" is when the flat spring looses tension and bounces.
I have had similar happen with the left button, too. But when it happens to that button it is more noticeable much sooner.
I bought a box of a dozen A4D house branded infrared wireless 3-button mouse's for like $24.00 back in 2000 that were on clearance because the driver disk didn't support W2K, only Win95, 98, and NT4. I got newer drivers from the A4D website and wore all 12 out over the 8 or 9 years. I even fixed a few that broke from the parts from other broken mouse's. I still have 6 or 7 of them laying in the "needs to be fixed" box under my workbench. I'll probably never fix them though, the nano receiver USB mouses I have been using for the 4 or 5 years have much better battery life and lately only need one AA battery.

I lock the phones after requesting a manual "Back Up Now" and nothing....
On all four phones.

How do I make sure that my iOS device is backed up regularly?
To set your iOS device to back up automatically, go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup and turn on iCloud Backup. When iCloud Backup is turned on, iCloud automatically backs up your iOS device daily. This daily backup can occur only when the device meets all of these conditions:
The device is connected to a power source.
The device is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi.
The device's screen is locked.
To back up your device manually:
Connect the device to a power source and make sure that you are also connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi.
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup and tap Back Up Now.

Has anyone had trouble with iPad causing a lift chair controller to foul up

My dad has a lift chair that he HAS to use. The manual for his chair said that electromagnetic and radio frequency interference can cause unintended movement or damage to the control system of electronically powered devices in the lift chair. Has anyone heard of issues using an iPad and interfering with a lift chair, especially the WiFi receiver of the iPad? I would like to get him an iPad 2 but am concerned whether this is a "real" issue or the manufacturer of the chair doing a CYA. I wouldn't expect it to be worse than a walkabout phone or cell phone but I don't have a good idea of the relative EM field produced by those devices.

Did a Google search but couldn't find anything. If you know someone with an iPad have them bring it over and do a quick test.
