Has anyone seen a designer's caluculator extension for dreamweaver to measure elements in a cascade?

Has anyone seen a designer's caluculator extension for dreamweaver to measure elements margins' and paddings' in a cascade?

Another option is to also use Firebug for FF:
http://getfirebug.com/
and/or Developers Toolbar for IE:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=18359
These are not DW based but still can provide a good look (visually as well as css rules) at the various elements on the page and in a sort of cascading view... showing the base css, any overriding rules, etc all the way down into the nested elements.
I use both because sometimes the two browser render things slightly different.

  • Has anyone seen a 160 GB hard drive for a PB G4?

If so will you send me a link to a site where I can get one? Thanks.

    Drive Brand: Seagate
Drive Model Number: ST9160821A (Momentus 5400.3, 5400 rpm)
    Drive Size: 160GB
    Driver Used: Apple Standard
    Mac Model: PowerBook G4
Mac OS Version: OS X 10.4
Reader Comments: I have a 15" 1.5Ghz PowerBook (first AL model) with the Radeon 9700 with 128MB of video ram.
I felt the pinch of only having 80GB of space, since I now use Aperture for my RAW workflow for my Nikon D70s. This ate my remaining hard drive space rather quickly since I have been out shooting quite a bit.
I decided to purchased the Seagate Momentus 5400.3 160GB drive to replace the stock Toshiba MK8026GAX drive. I still have Apple Care coverage (extended), and I didn't want to pay an Apple Certified Specialist to install the drive so I decided to do it myself since I have done arguably harder installs. I'm still unclear wether or not this voids my warranty, but I'm not going to wait around for someone to tell me. (It doesn't as far as I know as long as you don't damage anything in the process. I had apple repair an early Ti PB G4 (FW ports failed) and I had replaced the internal drive already - it was not an issue for warranty repair at least back then.-Mike)
First step was to clone my drive, which should have been straight forward. Unfortunately when I hooked up the new drive to the Powerbook via a USB 2.0 enclosure, I got a lot of beeping telling me my Powerbook USB ports were not giving enough juice (the drive enclosure uses one USB cable for data, and another USB cable as AC power). I had to get clever, and hook up my Powerbook to my G5 work computer via firewire in target disk mode, selecting it as the startup volume and rebooting into my Powerbook system on the G5. Once I was booted into my Powerbook system via the G5, I hooked up the USB drive to the G5 since the G5 would obviously give adequate juice. I then could clone the drive using SuperDuper.
I used the guide from the ifixit site. The procedure was very easy, until I hit those stupid tabs near the optical drive. I think I might create a diagram with exact drawings of how these tabs work, because the ifixit guide is inadequate with how these tabs work in the final removal of the top aluminum panel (with the keyboard/trackpad). I ended up bending that stubborn tab out of frustration trying to remove it... but that was probably more related to my uncontrollable excitement of installing the new drive.
I finally removed the top panel, and removed the ribbon for the keyboard and trackpad. Be careful with the ribbon for the keyboard removal, the locking part can be easily damaged if you push it the wrong way. After bending the tab back and putting it all back together I fired it up and immediately noticed how quieter my Powerbook was. Also I was pleased to see around 80GB of space remaining - that's pretty sweet for a notebook.
The next step is to clean up the front of the Powerbook around the optical drive since it looks kinda gnarly and chewed up. Now i have this spare 80GB Toshiba drive in a cheap USB 2.0 enclosure to add to my external backup collection (a 200GB, a 120GB and now an 80GB). Weeeeeeeee

  • My iPad will not connect to a computer with the cable which  means no updates or down loads. I have tried new cables and different computers. Has anyone seen this before?

Has anyone seen this issue before?

Possibly. Do you have other devices and will they connect?
One possible thing that it could be is that the USB port on your iPad has gone bad. It happened to mine. Couldn't sync, could barely charge (it said 'not charging' even when plugged into the wall)
I'd take it to the apple store, see if they can replicate it, and if they can, then they can diagnose it. Just back it up before you go, in case they do exchange it.

  • Itunes doesn't display graphics, only text, has anyone seen this?

Just loaded iTunes 10.5 on Windows...only TEXT is displayed...has anyone seen this?

I have this exact problem, and it occurs on every device I own: iMac, Macbook, iPad, Win 7. The explanation for the issue is that the stylesheet isn't coming over (.CSS).
Because it occurs on every device in my house, I'm assuming there's something in my wireless router configuration that's causing it. I haven't found the issue yet, but I'm digging through my modem configuration to see.
go to either http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1
That's your modem's IP address. If you can figure out what's in the configuration that's causing it, please post back.

  • TS3276 "message failed because you have exceeded your sending limit."  Has anyone seen this before & what does it mean?

What does this mean?  Has anyone seen before?

Most e-mail servers impose limits on how many messages you can send per day and how many different e-mail addresses you can send messages to per day. This is a measure to prevent spam, and you're unlikely to hit those limits unless you're sending messages to a very large group of people. Generally, those limits are somewhere in the hundreds.
If you haven't been sending that much e-mail, or to that many recipients, then your e-mail account may have been hacked and used to send spam. See:
Someone is sending messages from my e-mail address!

  • Has anyone seen this display problem?

I even changed my video card and still had the same issue? has anyone seen this or know how to fix this issue?
I tried to show a screen capture but didnt have any luck but the issue is alot of my icons are showing pink lines on them and when in certain application and safari the pictures are showing up all pixelated with pink and green pixels instead of displaying the correct image? is it possible the AGP slot is bad? i just upgraded to 10.5.8 hoping to correct the problem but no luck. Also this is a Power PC 1.8 ghz.
    Thank You

I wasn't notified that you asked me a question or that there was a new post on this topic. I should have been, that bugs me.
    Anyhow... Mr. Ah
The problem that some people, mostly with a certain video card, were having was when they updated from 10.5.4 to 10.5.5. For many of them the problem went away when they went through the hassle of reverting back to 10.5.4.
Did you +just recently+ update to 10.5.5? If you have, then their fix is for you too, going back to 10.5.4. If you have had 10.5.5 installed for a while now, and this just started happening, chances are good that it is your video card, or perhaps something affecting it like dust and dirt like DP says above.
If you have another start up drive, firewire or internal, and you had enough space on it you might consider installing a previous OS 10.5 on there and start up from it. If the problem went away you would know it's 10.5.5. Perhaps even if you started up from your OS disc the problem might go away and again you'd know it was 10.5.5. Apple was made aware of the problem on some machines and said they were going to come out with a fix, but I don't think they ever did.
Post back and say what the situation is, especially if you just recently updated to 10.5.5.
And post back with what kind of G5 you have, look in the "About this Mac" window.
Your card may be dying, but on the other hand it might be as easy as pulling it out, blowing it out, and putting the card back in again.

  • Has anyone seen evidence of corrections being made to Maps?

If it was just you, then it would be understandable because Apple might be swamped with requests to correct their Maps app and they might be attending to other users' requests first.
That scenario would be awesome, because it would mean that there are corrections being made, even if they are not yours. But there is a problem. Everybody I've asked hasn't seen ANY corrections done. I hope this is not true.
So.... the question is: Can we find evidence of any corrections at all? Even one correction?
When we look at the millions... MILLIONS of user correction requests, has anyone seen a SINGLE correction done out of MILLIONS of requests.  Because ZERO out of MILLIONS of requests would be very bad.
I want the Maps app to improve. I'm cheering Apple and supporting Apple. If the Maps app improves, then I would be happy and Apple users would be happy. The question is: has anyone seen any corrections??
I'm hoping there are many examples out there of people seeing corrections.

  • Problems with Apple ProRes 4444 and alpha channels in Motion 4 after upgrade to Snow Leopard.  Has anyone seen this?

We've just now upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard and are having a problem with Apple ProRes 4444 and alpha channels in Motion 4.  A clip with an alpha which keyed perfectly before the upgrade, now will not key.  If I convert the clip to the Animation codec, it keys perfectly.  If I export the Motion project as a ProRes 4444 self contained movie, it will key when brought into FCP 7 but if I import the project into FCP 7, it will show the key in the viewer but not the canvas.  Has anyone seen this or have any suggestions on how to correct this?  Is it a bug?
    Thanks,

    Motion 4.0.3
It just doesn't seem to recognize the alpha at all.

  • Has anyone seen this behaviour of AccessHW In Port?

Yesterday I was trying to check the operation of a plug-in PCMCIA parallel port, specifically I wanted to know if there were any timing issues with this device on an XP machine, so I thought I would try the AccessHW In and Out functions in Labview. I installed an old copy of Labview 6.1 (It was 5:50PM and I wanted to do this fast!) and tried it.
Reading the memory location where the device's status port was supposed to be just returned zero. Strange, I thought, so I tried some other addresses in the I/O range. I got zero from every single one. I tried the same on my own laptop, which is also XP, and I was getting sensible numbers from addresses in I/O space.
Has anyone seen this behaviour? The machine has McAffee on-access protection running, which cannot be disabled (company IT policy), and I have a suspicion that this might be blocking accesses to low memory, is this possible?

Sorry... my mind is not working well this morning   You had mentionned that in your original post and the fact that it is a PCMCIA parallel port.
As for the address location, I have seen addresses in the 0x2000 region for add-on parallel ports (not PCMCIA).
I haven't used a PMCIA device with Win-XP.  Does the address info for that port appear under properties when you look at the HW devices within the Control Panel's System.  From what I can recall, you can change the PCMCIA serial port number within the HW device, so maybe the properties will list the address..
    Have you checked this?

  • Has anyone seen this MacBook Pro 15" 2008 problem before?

Hi. My MacBook Pro has developed a fault whereby a horizontal line appears on the screen, the mac freezes then a host of vertical lines gradually appear on the screen until it is obscured. Something similar happened in May last year and Apple charged me over £300 to repair it, replacing the 'mother board'.
I have so far taken it into the Apple shop twice in the last week (a two hour round trip). Both times they have opened it, cleaned it and declared it fixed. This time it lasted about an hour before happening again, although this time at least I've been able to restart it.
Has anyone seen this before, or have any advice about how best to proceed?
I have put a video of the symptoms here:

Thanks for reading. This is my first post so apologies if I've rambled a bit!

  • Has anyone seen this problem? :(

    Hey Everyone,
I picked the new white 30 gb ipod video up yesterday. I opened it set it up and transfered all my vids and music. Now my problem is the clickwheel. It scrolls about 200 (literally songs at a time and is not acurate with the amount of contacct i have with it. I tried resetting, and now restoring. What shouold I do? Has anyone seen this problem yet?
    Anything helps,
    J.Martin

Sounds like a strange HW problem. Before you return it, I'd try a Restore, resync, and check it. If it STILL does thast, you need to check with Apple Support.

  • TNS name resolution mystery - has anyone seen this one???

    'Afternoon everyone,
Has anyone seen a problem like this? I'm trying to access a (remote) database from a PC. I can successfully test the connection to the DB via the Net8 Assistant, but when I try to get there via sqlplus (with the same service name), I'm getting an "ORA-12154 - TNS: could not resolve service name" error.
    Huh?
    Thanks,
    Len DiMaggio

It seems you have multiple tnsnames.ora files. You can set TNS_ADMIN to point to the oracleDB home and it should be ok.
