Has the bounce facility been removed from mail?

I want to Bounce an email back to the sender but can't find the command in Mail 5.3.
Has this feature been removed since the previous version of mail?

Yes. That feature is no more available.

Why has the Facetime application been removed from the iphone  in dubai??

You will have to contact the government to find out why they ordered it removed.  An iPhone purchased there can never have it added back in, even in a country where FaceTime is legal.

  • Why has the refresh instruction been removed from the top menu?

When listening to radio online, the Navigation Toolbar is often removed, so if the radio player loses its feed, there is no way to refresh the browser without visiting the site again and starting from scratch. I really hope that a Refresh command can be inserted back into the top menu at the earliest opportunity.

Not exactly sure what you mean, but try these:

If you have a keyboard, you might also want to just use the F5 or Ctl+F5 key combo to refresh the page.

  • Has the underscan feature been removed from the display settings for a projector in 10.8.2 for any reason or is this an oversight

    Hi
Does anyone know if there is another way to find the underscan feature in display settings for Mac OSX 10.8.2 other than through the display settings.  We set up our ceiling mounted prjectors at the start of September when we moved into our new school building at a significant cost. The projectors linked to the teacher's Imac projected onto the interactive whiteboards at the front of the classroom perfectly on 10.8.1.  We recently updated to 10.8.2 and now the projected image no longer fits on to the boards and is about 2 feet higher up to the wall.  The underscan feature is not available to drop this any ideas.
Moving projectors is not an option due to the cost of bringing in the contractor to extend the ceiling mounts.
    thanks

We have an SR raised which is now with development, but so far we have not been able to pin down what is causing this.
Basically we see entries end up on the recovery queue with nothing written in any logs, even if we increase the level of logging to debug.
This does not happen under load, the exact opposite. If nothing is going on and then we get 5-10 processes start, we see about 1% end on the queue. I pushed 500,000 messages through it last weekend and nothing ended up on the queue, yet a run on Monday of just 100 caused 2 entries on the queue with no explaination.
I have tried everything I can think of, but so far have not been able to re-create the condition at will, it is completely non-deterministic. It also happens on all 5 of our rigs, so it is not machine specific.
I have tuned the BPEL engine and it easily copes with our throughput. We are running with a 10g dehydration store, either single instance or active-passive depending on environment, but I do not think this is going to be causing an issue.
We have about 20 async processes and sub-processes and the problem can occur at any point, although mostly on Invoke and Callback. Each process contains a mixture of async (to BPEL), sync (to External) and a reasonably number of database adapters in each process.
It is not the fact it is placing the entry on the queue that is my issue, it is the fact we have no idea WHY it has ended there as there are no log entries.
Any ideas what else I can try?
    Pete

  • Ipad3, using iPhoto, running the latest IOS6, I'm a photographer, please tell me why has the delete (X) been removed in iPhoto?

Ipad3, using iPhoto, running the latest IOS6, I'm a photographer, please tell me why has the delete (X) been removed in iPhoto?

Ralph, again thanks for the input, but I respectfully disagree.  I have been using iPhoto with the iPad3 since it was launched.  I have taken and imported at a minimum 6-7k pictures and have used the same methodology of editing and deleting photos (inside of iPhoto app), using the delete (X) on the task bar.  I'm an IT project manager as well as an certified software consultant, in other words, I have a better than average knowledge and understanding of apps and the functionality.  My only point is that something that was quite functional and very user friendly has now become far more difficult. It was only 9 bucks and a pretty good little piece of software, I'll just find something else that is less time consuming and will check back for iPhoto update and from time to time.  Again, thank you for your feedback.

  • Has the "Bridge" button been removed completely from Photoshop CS6?

I made regular use of the bridge shortcut button, much preferring the full application to the "mini-bridge" in CS5.  I realise that this has been updated in CS6, but this is just not up to my normal workflow use of bridge.

Yes. The Application Bar, which the Bridge icon sat on, has been removed to free up real estate. Bridge can now be launched from the File menu (which has a corresponding shortcut), or through Mini Bridge itself. There's a Bridge icon on the right side.

  • Why has GnuPG 1.4 been removed from Core?

I have seen an email on the GnuPG mailing list few days ago regarding the state of GnuPG 1.4 vs 2.x. I'm shocked to see that today GnuPG 1.4 has been simply removed from Core.
Here is the original answer from the main GnuPG maintainer in the mailing list:
We maintain two stable branches:  1.4. and 2.0.  If you ask which one you should use, the answer depends on the environment:
    1. For unattended servers, 1.4 is is the easiest solution.  In general you will only encrypt or verify signatures on such boxes.  Thus there is no need for a passphrase.
    2. For old Unix systems with 2.x build problems, you may resort to 1.4.
    3. For all desktop systems, 2.0 is the suggested versions.  New  development is only done on 2.0.  The standard installer for Windows uses 2.x.  All new ports are even using 2.1.  In case you really really don't want the Pinentry, 2.1 will eventually offer you a way  to use the passphrase in the same as done in 1.4.
I don't understand that move as both versions are considered stable and maintained and more importantly can live together. GnuPG2 has much more dependencies that 1.4. Furthermore in server like installations you really don't want to deal with GnuPG2 agent and so on, you want a standalone tool that works out of the box.
Can someone explain the motivation behind that move?  Can we put it back?
PS: I also noticed that the new GnuPG package creates a symbolic link so /usr/bin/gpg points to gpg2. Again that is misleading considering they not necessarily share the same commands.
    Thanks

This may come a bit late, but have you set up gpg-agent already? With a short configuration (taking you 4 steps!) you will have even more convenience with gnupg2!
    1. create /etc/profile.d/gpg-agent.sh with the following lines:
    #!/bin/sh
    envfile="${HOME}/.gnupg/gpg-agent.env"
    if test -f "$envfile" && kill -0 $(grep GPG_AGENT_INFO "$envfile" | cut -d: -f 2) 2>/dev/null; then
    eval "$(cat "$envfile")"
    else
    eval "$(gpg-agent --daemon --write-env-file "$envfile")"
    fi
export GPG_AGENT_INFO # the env file does not contain the export statement
    (taken from gnupg-Archwiki page)
    2. add the following lines in .(ba|z|whatever-shell-you-use)shrc:
    GPG_TTY=$(tty)
    export GPG_TTY
    (as recommended by gpg-agent man)
    3. create ~/.gnupg/gpg-agent.conf with the following lines: (saves the password for 6 hours!)
    default-cache-ttl 216000
    default-cache-ttl-ssh 216000
    4. logout and login again.
If you now open your email programme, view a signed or encrypted email, (i.e. have to type in your password) and restart Thunderbird, the password is still cached, which wasn’t the case before!
    Best, Jakob

  • 9 - Has the 4GB cap been removed?

Does anyone know if the 4GB cap of virtual memory use in Logic 9 has been removed that caused all sample based instrument plugins to crash without(!!) warning when loading lots of instrument articulations?
This would be the only thing to persuade me to get the upgrade.

a warning is at least something.
but why - if apple can't figure it out - would they not acquire some technology that would help provide solutions, like implementing something like JackOSX which seems to be currently the only way to run a large orchestration?
I would already be much happier if Logic was able to let users establish a connection to standalone software instruments without having to jump through hoops of third party drivers, IAC and solving endless riddles in the Environment.
I could gladly deal without guitar amps which already exist from other manufacturers as a trade-in for more usability on the professional end.

  • Where has the 'bounce email' feature gone from Lion?

Mail works OK after upgrade to LIon, I have set it up in classic mode for now.   However, I can't find the 'bounce email' feature.   This used to be a good way to reduce spam.
Please Apple, let me have this feature back.

i have just 'upgraded' to osx LION and CANNOT believe you have dropped the BOUNCE feature from mail.
Why??????  PLEASE PUT IT BACK immediately - it is one of the main differences between apple mail and postbox.  You are losing customers doing this - I am going back to snow leopard till you fix it.   RIDICULOUS decision !!!!

  • Has 'Share with Theater' been removed from Messages?

Doesn't seem to be working any more from the Mavericks end, but still working from Mountain Lion to Mavericks. Odd. Is there a setting I'm missing?

    Hi,
    Me too.
Although I started with Showmacster which was for Older  versions of iChat (up to Leopard/iChat 4.x.x)
The main Site has gone and only these Download archives exist.
Like many things Apple then incorporated an idea that was out there into the app.

  • HT4623 Why has the network setting been removed on IOS 6?

When looking in settings, the neywork tab has disappeared?  And I am unable to connect to 3G.

Your image shows "Firefox will Remember History".
It has a dropdown arrow which usually shows -
"Firefox will Never Remember History" and, what you need,
"Firefox will Use Custom Settings". This opens a range of options.
Is this pair of dropdown arrows not working?

  • Has mpeg-1 been removed from Compressor 4.1?

Am I missing something, or has mpeg-1 encoding been removed from Compressor 4.1?

I believe you are right…and thanks for posting…hadn't noticed until you asked the question. Maybe it's there hiding in plain sight, but I couldn't find it. A search on MPEG in the new User Guide actually comes up with one reference to MPEG1 as a setting (p 111), but that may simply be a vestige of the previous editions.
What do you need MPEG1 for? Could MP4 work?
