Has there been any problems with the mail server?
Has there been any problems with the mail server? I keep getting a notice of server failure.
Unfortunately the error message does not identify the specific server, I (as many folks do) have several, Mac, yahoo, google ect.

Has there been any problems with a iphone thats been unlocked
I was thinking about getting my iphone 4 unlocked, has anyone had any problems with the phone was unlocked?
What problems are you expecting after your iPhone is unlocked?? Oh no - I am being naïve - I am assuming legitimately unlocked by the carrier to which the phone had been locked?

Before I spend my hard earned cash does anyone know if there has been any problems with new 27 iMacs?
Hello richard from Folsom:
Are you inside or outside? ( I could not resist, I lived in Sactown).
Anyway, advice is frequently worth what you pay for it, and mine is free.
If you want it, buy it. The posts above are right on the mark (except waiting is probably overly-cautious). The best advice (from anamusic) is to buy the extended warranty - well worth the money.

Text limits to the "Question" link prevents a full explanation:
This is a long-time problem. I have tried to resolve it with Apple but their "Customer Support" is merely a name.
I can go online and access my e-mail but when I try to send or receive e-mail via iCloud through my internet server (Google fiber now but the same situation existed with my prior service), I receive "There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for 'Apple Email' and try again.
"The server returned the error: The server 'p0-imap.mail.me.com' refused to allow a connection on port 143."
Well, I have verified the setting and tried again and again and …

Maybe you should test these things before calling people out, because these settings do function perfectly well.
iCloud is not supported on Snow Leopard or lower, why bother to mention it?
The OP has an iCloud account, and that can not be opened without Lion or Mountain Lion (on a Mac), IOS5 or 6 (on an iPhone/iPad)
The document I linked to is Apples documentation for iCloud on current devices,I don't care whether you believe that you know better than they do, but it will affect the people who follow your advice as it won't work

This is the messege I am gewtting:
There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “MobileMe” or try again.
The server returned the error: Mail was unable to log in to the IMAP server “p02-imap.mail.me.com” using “Password” authentication. Verify that your account settings are correct.
The server returned the error: Service temporarily unavailableAlso if I go to system preferences accounts and re-enter the password it fixes the glitch sometimes.

Hi all,
From time to time (at least once a day), the following message pops up on the user's screen:
"There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate. Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server . Error Code 80000000)."
If we click "OK" it goes away and everything continues to work although sometimes Outlook disconnects. It is quite annoying...
Any ideas?
Thank you in advanceHi,
For the security alert issue, I'd like to recommend you check the name in the alert windows, and confirm if the name is in your certificate.
Additionally, to narrow down the cause, when the Outlook client cannot connect again, I recommand you firstly check the connectivity by using Test E-mail AutoConfiguration. For more information, you can refe to the following article:

Good day Guys
First of all I am not an Exchange Expert, and I might be asking a very stupid question, but please bare with me. :)
While I was on leave our Mail server fell over and The company got a Specialist to help out for the time being.
We where\are on Microsoft Exchange 2007 , which Fell over, and the specialist was able to recover as much data as he could.
They then installed Exchange 2013 and tried to migrate everything from 2007 to 2013 and not everything migrated over.
But the problem is, Outlook Anywhere was enable on 2007 and worked a 100% (before the disaster)
With Exchange 2013 I get the following error message when trying to connect With Outlook 2013, using an external connection:
"There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate. The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the target site "Mailserver"
Outlook is unable to connect to the Proxy server. (Error Code 0)"
Has anyone had the Similar when migrating over from 2007 to 2013 or is this an Issue on IIS and nothing to do with Exchange migration?
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.Hi,
Firstly, I would suggest we use Exchange 2013 FE as the Outlook Anywhere proxy server.
For the certificate issue, it mostly occurs because the host name that Outlook are trying to access does not match the certificate SAN. Please check with this point. If they do not match, you
can change the host name by referring to the following article:

Hi,
I have experienced a problem with my current version of the ODBC driver (version 10.1.0.2) and have been advised to upgrade to the newest version 10.2.0.2.0.
As the driver was only released a couple of months ago, I am a bit wary about upgrading. Has anybody out there had any issues with the reliability of this driver or does it seem to be pretty stable?
Thanks very much,
CarolineSorry, forgot to mention it is on linux.
Setting SetJavaHome in the jdev.conf did not help.
I did find a way to at least start the IDE though.
Either comment out SetJavaVM in the jdev.conf or start jdev with the -client option
Also to note:
I downloaded the jdk 1.4.2 32 bit for x86 and i can't get jdev to start:
current locale is not supported in X11, locale is set to CX locale modifiers are not supported, using defaultjava.lang.InternalError: Current locale is not supported

at sun.awt.motif.MWindowPeer.init(MWindowPeer.java:97)

So right now i'll try to hack it with j2se 5... -
Has anyone had any problems with the 10.0.3 upgrade?
I'm running WinXP and presently have Adobe Reader 9.4.3. Before I upgrade I would like to find out if anyone has had any problems with the new release? The last time I upgraded an Adobe product (Flash) it screwed up my ability to watch videos on my browser.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Spin45Adobe Reader has the original 10.0.0 with its associated vulnerabilities and the patch of 10.0.1 which seems unable to run in protected mode in my environment or any that have roaming profiles. The vulnerabilities that prompted the last two patches (would have been 10.0.2 and 10.0.3) have been forgone by Adobe, because "Protected Mode mitigates those vulenrabilities". See here: http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb11-06.html
and here: http://www.adobe.com/support/security/advisories/apsa11-02.html
In my opinion, Reader X is not ready, they are soliciting for testers for a new release. Version 9 with its attendant problems seems to be the only viable solution for me, if I can get the patches to apply properly, and the installer to work properly. -
Has anyone had any problems with the latest upgrade for iPad?
I have an iPad 1 and am being prompted to upgrade to the latest version software. Has anyone had any problems when doing this? Our PC runs on Wndows 7.
Having just resolved iTunes not connecting to the store after the recent upgrade, I'm reluctant to do something that could potentially screw up the iPad which does what we want as it is.bobtheblob wrote:
Ok, thanks for that. I'll hang fire for the moment & see if anyone else has any comments.
That's probably a good idea. If you are happy with the system as is, I'd wait to upgrade. I can report that my friends and family have mostly upgraded to iOS 5 without any problems, but as you can probably tell from other posts on this board, lots of people have run into problems.
As the old saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! -
After changing passwords for iCloud, Mail is stuck in a do-loop "There is a [problem..." The error appears in less than one second after responding "Later"
Nope. Turns out that even though I have two Macs running 10.9.4, the one in question doesn't get the SMTP settings changed by iCloud settings when the password is changed, so I had to "Edit" the account in Mail, plow down to the password settings for the Apple SMTP server, and change the password myself. Nothing in the System Preferences iCloud setting tab lets you change any settings on the local machine. Apple is sure they are controlling everything when you make changes in iCloud, but they are wrong. Identical versions of 10.9.4 are configured differently on two different Macs.

I needed to adjust some of the mail settings in Server 10.5.8 because I had a client that was unable to access mail. In server Admin I selected mail and then clicked "Stop Mail." After the screen refresh, the "Stop Mail" button reappeared rather than "Start Mail." The status list shows Pop and IMAP shut down but lists SMTP incoming and outgoing as "shutting down." A restart failed to resolve the problem. I am not sure how to escape this "unholy" state. Any suggestions?

Outlook 2013: There is a problem with the proxy server's certificate
Hello!
One more question regarding Outlook 2013/Exchange2013SP1:
There are three lab PCs: DC, Exch1, Exchange2. There's a wildcard certificate installed on Exch1 (https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/6a440c99-47bd-4f48-8cc5-9f92e6b06496/wildcard-certificate-for-exchange-2013?forum=exchangesvrgeneral).
OWA works perfect with this wildcard certificate.
I install Outlook2013 on Exch1 and get the error:
DC.Entreprise.Local is a computer certificate issued for the computer DC.Enterprise.Local.
DC.Enterprise.Local IS NOT (and never was) the proxy for Exch1 or Exchange2:
How Outlook could request DC's certificate if the proxy server = Exch1.Enterprise.Local???
Thank you in advance,
MichaelHello all,
Thank you for your replies!
Since I'm using a wildcard certificate I changed Outlook providers according to this:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2013/08/02/part-2-reverse-proxy-for-exchange-server-2013-using-iis-arr.aspx
If you do choose to use a wildcard certificate, you should also make sure that you
change the EXPR Outlook Provider, so that Outlook Anywhere clients can successfully connect to the Exchange Server (this behavior can be a particular issue
if you have Windows XP clients). If you do not make this change then end users may continue to receive a prompt for a certificate mismatch."
...and EXCH and EXPR are both set to *.Enterprise.Local.
"I install Outlook2013 on Exch1" you mean you install Outlook on top of Exchange?" - on the same server as Exchange, and in this case Outlook must use SCP, not DNS (the server and the client are in the same AD domain).
"Without SCP, Exchange try DNS autodiscover lookup, first site it will try is
https://emaldomain/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml, which happen to be resolve to your domain controller." - I think that's the case... I just don't understand why
an internal client can't find the SCP that does exist and point to exch1.enterprise.local:

I am receiving the above message for internal Outlook 2013 users when they open Outlook. Despite this message, Outlook is fully functional. External OA users do not see this message. We are using an SRV record for our autodiscover and pointing it to the
name on the single cert we have. I've also already changed the outlookprovider record in Exchange. Any ideas?
TIA!Hi Alceryes,
According to the error message, Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server (Error Code 10),
it seems an issue on the Certificate side.
FLAG_CERT_CN_INVALID 0x00000010
More details to see following KB:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923575
Would you like to tell me the reason that why you are using SRV record for Autodiscover?
I find a FAQ on Autodisocover for your reference, hope it is helpful:

I down loaded the new free os x yosemite today and now my mail is offline. Several pop ups that say there is no connection.
Verify the settings for account or try again.
The server returned the error: The certificate for this server is invalid.
I have not changed a thing and now I have no emails coming or going. Since it is my communication line to many of my clients, I am in need of some answers asap.
Thank you.I recently have been trying to find out why my email won't go online. A window pops up stating The identity of "pop.qwestoffice.net" cannot be verified. The certificate for this server is invalid. You may be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "pop.qwestoffice.net" putting information at risk. It asks to connect anyway? Anyone out there have a clue? I am losing my contacts with my clients.
