Well, as I read on the forums, this problem seems to be common, and it doesn't have a clear solution. So, I don't care if they say they don't know. There IS a big problem, and they are not giving very helpful answers.
Recently I was feeling nostalgic and bought the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, everything went fine until it reached 200mb downloading. Then as you know the Hash Mismatch error appeared.
I've tried everything, from changing ISPs, to resetting the router/modem.
I have already sent a ticket about this, but clearly they are NOT solving the problem.
We are a lot, so please, don't just look the other way Apple.

I am aware of this particular error that folks are seeing...  it's perplexing espcially if you haven't downloaded the app previosuly. 
If you haven't done so, you could try deleting the cache associated with the App Store.
Go to ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.
One other thing to try...  is to startup in Safe Mode
That deletes system caches that may help.
A Safe Mode boot take a bit longer then a normal boot, be patient.
Once you see the Desktop, click the Apple menu top left corner of the screen then click Restart.

    There are a number of reasons that members cannot delete their own posts.
    One being that it could cause some confusion when reading a thread.
    Say an OP starts a topic, and other members respond to that topic. Then the OP deletes the original post. Readers would not know what the replies are addressing.
    You have about 15 minutes to edit the content of a post, but you cannot eliminate it entirely.

    So,
    Here is the difference between what many of you might take as first instinct to reply by saying, "there are many questions regarding this topic already..."
    My phone has been syncing fine with iSync. It is not until today that it has decided to stop working properly. The message i get when I try to sync is, "synchronization has failed because the phone is not connected".
    As stated elsewhere in the forums, I have checked system profiler - and the phone comes up as noticed via USB port.
    Any ideas of what might be the issue here? I thought maybe there was a particular setting that needs to be turned on/off in either iSync or the phone itself.
    Any insight would be great!

    For anyone looking for info, just do a Google search - for many of the results you will have to do some reprogramming, but it's minimal, and best of all; works!

    Hi everybody.  I've read on a lot of posts that the late 2011 Macbook Pros can handle 16GB of RAM.  I haven't, however, seen any sources that site whether this is safe LONG TERM for my computer.  Perhaps this is just because these RAM sticks have not be affordable until recently, but does anyone know (preferably with a credible source) whether this amount of RAM will do any damage to my computer over the next 3-4 years (I'd rather stick to slower speeds if it means it will last longer).

    You could install RAM that is bad or glitchy, but that would show right away and you simply have it exchanged with no harm to the machine, unless you kept it in on purpose to do damage.
    What occurs is Apple releases new hardware that can say accept 16GB of RAM, but 16GB of RAM modules isn't availalbe yet (may not come at all), only 8GB, so they standardize on 8GB in their manuals etc, buy huge amounts of 2-4GB modules at discount prices and has to get rid of it.
    The savvy computer user knows the machine can handle more RAM and buys it elsewhere when the price comes down to somewhere they can afford. 16GB of RAM is going for about $250, it was well over $1000 a year ago.
    This has been the situation for many years with computers and Apple, as long as you buy the quality RAM of the right specs, the machine will handle it because Apple designed it to do so. Also they designed it so you can replace it yourself.
    Naturally you will either have to install it yourself or have someone do it for you, Apple won't install 16GB as they need to sell their 8GB off. Also they charge a crazy amount, like $435. LOL!
    Believe it or not, you can install RAM and hard drives/SSD in the Mac "Pro" lines yourself and not void the warranty/Applecare as long as you don't break anything, strip the screws and so forth. The replaced RAM and storage isn't covered of course.

    There are apps that will give you tech specs on files. I think Media Info is one. Most likely it's in done delivery codec like DiVX. AVI is a piece of **** as a container anyway and should have been completely abandoned years ago.

    Open Activity monitor in Utilities, go to the CPU tab>All Processes, and note any process that would appear to be related to importing photos, such as iPhoto, and use Force Quit. This may only be a temporary fix, as it may start all over again when you reboot. If that happens, we need to do some more investigating.
    Also, close all open Applications, then open Terminal in Utilities and copy/paste and hit return, then post the output of this command.
    lsof -l +L -R -V | grep /

    I found a solution that has worked on both iPhone 4's I have that have had the same issues, and also including not being able to download updates in the App store.
    Go to Settings > WiFi and turn it OFF.
    Next go to General > Cellular > Cellular Data and turn it OFF
    Next go back to Settings > WiFi and turn it ON, (wait a few seconds for it to sync with your network)
    Finally go back to General > Cellular > Cellular Data and turn it ON.
    I had the same issues on both my wife's phone, and my own, and it fixed it immediately without changing any proxy settings or reboots, (which I did try on my phone and did not work, but did not try on my wife's phone)

    You need to create HTML signatures for use with the Apple Mail apps. You can't just throw in a logo, it has to be stored on the internet and it's location coded into your signature. You may find a service and an app that helps you do that in the iTunes App Store.

  • AppStore doesn't know there are updates unless you kill it?

    I noticed on the web that Fring had updated their iPhone app. I went to the App Store (via the iPhone) and it said all my apps were up to date. I thought, that's odd and tried again, same thing. It was not until I went into the recently used apps tray, killed the App Store, exited the tray and select the App Store icon again that if finally found 9 updates to Apps I own. So, if you never kill it you will never know there are App updates? Really?

    Interesting... It may be an intermittent issue then, similar to how I get black squares in the camera roll and pictures that don't show up. That is until the app is killed or the phone is rebooted.
    I should mention that I don't believe I had rebooted my phone in several days so this App was backgrounded and each time I'd bring it up to look for updates I'd have none. If the same thing has been happening to you, you might want to try killing the App in the recently used tray and selecting it again from your home screen.
    I really am starting to feel like this was sort of rushed to market. This stuff was not tested well, or was released with these issues known (even worse). Maybe there are Apps that cause it to get into this state, some that are not working properly in iOS4?

    I'm another one of the very grumpy customers regarding the problems synching Outlook calendars with the new 2.0 iPhone.
    I have another twist: I did not ever have multiple calendars in Outlook until the 2.0 update; I had just one. After I updated the iPhone software to 2.0 I have multiple calendars which I did not create. My iPhone has all the events listed, color coded by these various calendars, but when I look at my calendar(s) in Outlook, I can not see all the events at once. So my iPhone is the most complete, and my computer version is fragmented. This is an unacceptable royal pain. I'm relieved to know it's not just me, my iPhone, my Outlook, etc., but I'm definitely one of the many of us who are grumpy with Apple and impatient for their fix.
    My question is: how do I sync my Outlook to my iPhone and delete all these calendars without deleting events? I just want one calendar again: mine, all mine.
    PS I do have recurring events, but way too many to hand change them all; that's ridiculous. Even if I didn't have many of those it's ridiculous that the recurrences should create these problems. It's a pretty basic electronic calendar function.

    I recently upgraded to WIndows 7 Home Premium, updated my Apple TV to 3.0 and then 3.0.1. I am using iTunes 9.0.2.
    I can no longer stream photos to my television. I get a message that my library is loading and then "There are no photos in this library." With the previous Apple TV firmware, I would get this message but eventually, the photos would appear and I could browse folders and view photos. Now the photos never appear. I can still stream music and podcasts.
    How can I fix this problem so I can see my photos on my television, streamed through my Apple TV?

    I have the same issue. It works sometimes when I select ALL events. When I change back to selected events, I get the error. Everything else streams without any issues.
