Have to reboot to relaunch PSE-10
I am running PSE-10 on Windows 7. Recently, I changed the preference to bypass the Welcome screen. Ever since, I am unable to relaunch PSE without rebooting. Also, I can't get back to the Welcome screen from the Home icon. I have already reinstalled PSE. This didn't fix it. Help?
If the PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe process does not end when you exit PSE then that is something unusual. Try resetting Editor's preferences and see if that helps.
1. Close Elements. Go to Task Manager and End the process PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe.
2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
4. Now close elements and see if this time the process do gets ended when you close elements.

Help! can't open PSE 5.0.2 at all and I have to reboot
I have been using pse 5.0.2 since July 2007 on xp. When I double click the icon PSE starts to initialize and hangs when it gets to "Reading Preferences". I can use other applications, but once I click on them the screen gets messed up and no matter what I have to reboot. I tried putting in the installation Cd and get the following errors in this order
1. Invalid unicode file .\AutoPlay\main.ini
2. Error MAIN_FILE_VERSION
3. Error PRODUCT_REGISTRY_PARENT
4. Error PRODUCT_REGISTRY_KEY
I also tried installing the CD on another machine which does not have photoshop elements and I get the same 4 errors.
I did go through the PSE forum, saw some errors with the organizer freezing, but I can't even open elements at all. I do not have google chrome installed. I have not installed anything new on this computer in a year, and do not have any firewalls, or spyware loaded.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.You didn't say if you were trying to load the Organizer or the Editor.

I must have a setting wrong on PSE 10. When I want to fill a selection with color, I choose the color but it always comes up blue. What am I doing wrong?
What IP address does the TC have and what IP does the computer have?
We need more info as we really have no idea what your network looks like.
Modem router, model, type of broadband?
TC setup as bridge or router?
Is the computer getting internet via the TC?
Are you using wireless or ethernet?
Have you set IPv6 correctly to local link in the computer on whichever network client is doing the connection?
Did this work the first time for backup and has now failed? If so simply reboot the TC. It is a constant bug that the TC is lost to the network. -
My Ipad2 worked perfectly before ios6 upgrade. It now freezes occasionally and I have to reboot to get it to work. Also the WSJ app will now freeze if I try and run one of their videos that is imbedded in the article. My only work-around is to stop (press done) before the end of the video or I have to do a total reboot. The problems remind me of Windows ME . Will Apple resolve these issues or become more like Microsoft. Hopefully there will be a restore button in the future like Microsoft was forced to do because a lot of upgrades are just terrible. Am I crazy or are there other people having the same issues with ios6, or could this just be a coincidence and my ipad2 is starting to fail just when ios6 arrives ?
I know this will not help but, the bluetooth headset I purchased for my wife works great and it pairs with our car and our sound bar in the livingroom (Motorola Droid Razr) 98.72.16.XT912.Verizon.en.US
However I did not upgrade over the air but from a android web site and placed it on my external sd card. I believe this made the difference in why we had no issues and upgraded functionality has been great.
Please note when I mention these bluetooth devices I mean the Razr connects with no problems.
It also had no internet issues and none of the problems others have complained about in other threads.
unfortunately when you say thousands have these issues I cannot say that is accurate. The hope is when large numbers of owners have updated to the Jelly Bean and are complaining inmase then Motorola will issue a patch to verizon to get out to the affected users.
Of course now that Google owns Motorola Mobility and has laid off loads of workers it may never issue an os patch. -
I open a file - playback - the audio is there - doesn't appear in timeline, but I hear it, after 1 edit, the audio disappears. I have to reboot to get it back then it happens again. All suggeswtions welcome. Thank you, Randy

is the frame rate really 29 frames per second?
If the properties that you just posted are representative of your source file, what project preset did you or the
project set for the project preset? If you are not sure, please tell us the readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size,
and Pixel Aspect Ratio under Edit Menu/Project Settings/General.

Have to reboot to open ID and now have "damaged" file message
Hi,
I'm using CS3. Over the last 24 hours, InDesign will close, when I click to open my ID file, it won't open. I have to reboot. When I reboot I got a message that reads "file maybe damaged, do you want to open it anyway"?
Another thing, when it has the message up, it gives the name of the file, but there is a different document that is trying to open.
Would should I do?
Why won't ID open when I click on it until I have to restart the hard drive?
Is my file really damaged? What would be damaged in the file? Is there something I can do to recover and not lose this file? Why does it read that one file might be damaged and shows a different document in view.
I really need these files.

BarbIf you save as with a new name you get a new file without overwriting the old one, which is just a precaution. Exporting to .inx is a method of removing minor corruption that can creep in on occasion because it strips out all but the barest of necessary information to rebuild the file. Opening that and saving will give you the cleanest possible file.
This is a belt-and-suspenders approach, but I feel that is usually warranted when you have any doubts about file integrity. You can always throw away anything you find later you don't need, but you can't recover anything you destroy while trying to fix the problem.
For goodness sake, though, you need to have some sort of regular backup system in place in case of disaster. I've become fond of Acronis TrueImage (less than $100) which I use to make nightly backups of my data drive to an external hard drive and weekly backups to my system drive to an internal backup drive. I've been seeing more and more hard drive failures recently, and the backup system lets me sleep at night.
Another option I use for some of my service clients is an external drive that comes bundled with a backup system on it. It's not as sophisticated -- you don't get redundancy with the ones I've seen (Acronis lets me keep a couple of months of backup data before I need to delete anything to make space for the next round), but it should be sufficient for disaster recovery. I was using Maxtor OneTouch 4 500GB drives for this, but they seem to be disappearing from the marketplace in favor of larger models.

I have tried rebooting phone/app. Phone is connecting to Twitter/iTunes/AppStore all fine. Not sure what the problem is. Every time I hit sign in I get "could not connect to game center server".
same problem on iphone 4s. Other people posting problems too. Must be on Apples end.

My Iphone 4 is getting stuck in what ever App or screen I have open. I have to reboot to get back to the normal screen. I have done a reset with no change. Any advice?
I'm assuming your iPhone is not jailbroken?
You likely have an app that's misbehaving. Try restoring as new and see how it runs factory fresh.
Also, maybe your Home button is not functioning correctly. This has been a widely reported problem. Try cleaning under it with a vacuum or compressed air.
Note that you have a 1 year warranty - you may need to use it. -
Photosmart D110 losing network connection - I have to reboot my router every time I print
Every time I have to print the printer cannot be found by any device (desktop (mac and windows), laptop, iphone, or ipad).
The printer says it is connected to the wireless network, but no device can see it and the desktops show it as offline.
The only way to remedy the situation is to reboot the wireless router. I am not sure if this just happens over time or every time the D110 goes to sleep. Either way it renders the wireless feature of this device useless and frankly why have it if I have to reboot the entire network any time anyone in the house wants to print something. This is quite frustrating.Try update the firmware of router.

When I enter my password to start my atv it tells me, that "there was a problem connecting to the network." My Ipad works fine in my house, but not my new atv. I have reset my password multiple times with no help. I have also rebooted my wireless server. Do I take it back?

HP Laserjet 100 MFP 175nw, Printer loses connection and have to reboot to print
This is super annoying.
Had this printer for a few months and it worked great. Changed my wireless password a couple weeks ago and now the dang thing has to be rebooted almost everytime it needs to print.
Today I did a fresh install on my iMac for it and after a couple hours it went right back to being unavailable. Help... before I smash it!
To note: I downloaded the driver install pkg fresh today from HPs site and used that for installation so the firmware can't be out of date.So you changed the password on your router and when you need to print you have to reboot the router. What is the status of the printer when this occurs? Does the printer have a valid IP address at the time? Does the router see the printers IP address?

When I'm partway through typing an email, the screen freezes, I have to reboot repeatedly to complete the message. I've run scanners for viruses, etc. and came up clean. I'm using gmail, with MCaffee security. I do the 'magic' three, ctrl/alt/del, that only prolongs the problem. And I really don't want to upgrade to #5, I like the brownser as it is except for the problem with the mail. Besides, I don't want to lose my addons or ssecurity that I chose.
For me, I think the "Skype Click to Call 5.11.0.9874" addon was causing the slow response. Once I disabled this addon Firefox was responding normally.

New Messages sound quits after several messages have arrived. I've tried several passes at resolving but nothing I have done seems to work. Sometimes I have to reboot the imac several times to get the New Messages Sounds back. Everything else works. The only thing I haven't done is reinstall the OS and that seems foolhardy.

Essentially, the bare issue is that you have a 500GB hard drive with only 10GB free. That is not sufficient to run the system properly. The two options you have are to move/remove files to another location, or to install a larger hard drive (eg 2TB). Drive space has nothing to do with SMC firmware, and usually large media files are to blame.
My first recommendation is this: download and run the free OmniDiskSweeper. This will identify the exact size of all your folders - you can drill down into the subfolders and figure out where your largest culprits are. For example, you might find that your Pictures folder contains both an iPhoto Library and copies that you've brought in from a camera but are outside the iPhoto Library structure. Or perhaps you have a lot of purchased video content in iTunes.
If you find files that you KNOW you do not need, you can delete them. Don't delete them just because you have a backup, since if the backup fails, you will lose all your copies.
Don't worry about "cleaners" for now - they don't save much space and can actually cause problems. Deal with the large file situation first and see how you get on.
Let us know what you find out, and if you manage to get your space back.

Problem with Client Side Validator - e.getFacesMessage is not a function
(JDeveloper 11g, TP2 and TP3) I have created a custom validator that does server side validation as well as client side validation. It gets invoked - an alert is fired to prove that - but when validation fails, instead of the red box and error messag
