Having a problem with eBooks in my iTunes library.
As the title says, I'm having some problems with the iTunes library not reflecting what's actually on the disk.
I add the ebook and it seems to add ok. The file gets consolidated into /mymusic/books under the author correctly, but the book is missing from the library. The book is in ePub format, and seems to have the right file extension and shows up as a file of "ePub" type in windows explorer.
Any ideas? Is there a way to re-build the library or a portion of it?

Yes, I am also having trouble with my windows 7n. I tried to install the download but it didn't have 32 bit for my computer and I don't think it will help me see my phone on my external devices. I can't transfer my photos. Any help would be appreciated.

Having a problem with Ipad2 IOS 7 itunes moving app icons
When trying to move or reposition app ICONS in iTunes for my iPad2 it is extremely sluggish or won't let me select a home screen or icon to work with.
Sometimes all the home screens "disappear" from the window.
Did not have this problem with previous iTunes version 11.x.x before updating to the new 11.1 iTunes and IOS 7 on my devices.
My iphone 4s with IOS 7 does not have this problem, but is a little sluggish.
Running Windows XP on a very fast PC.

Problem with duplicated songs in iTunes library.

Following a recent sync between my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.6.8) and iPod touch (3rd Gen, iOS 6.1.6), my iTunes library (v 11.4) now contains duplicate tracks of every song on certain albums. Seems to affect random artists and albums and is only in my MacBook library - not on the iPod.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this happens and, more importantly, how to 'undo it'? I've tried another sync and MacBook re-starts, but no result.

AJ707I am having a similar problem. these mystery duplicates are turning into a real furball. In passing, I would like to say also that this so-called "feature" called "up next" is so unbelievably intrusive and annoying. It makes debugging this problem, which is already terrible bad enough to make me wish for an itunes substitute. I never thought it would get this awful. I have about 70 mystery tracks in my library which I am trying to get rid of. I have to go through them one by one and unless I manually clear out the up next list which takes about 3 clicks, every time I click on one of these mystery tacks the same **** song plays. Very awful. It took me along time to figure that out. I thought there was some data corruption somehow. Turned out it was just a sadist at Apple improving the program.
Here's an example. When I arrange my library in song view, I scroll all the way down to the bottom where these mystery files are. There is a bunch of them that have the album name "JS Bach Transcriptions". But there is no album or playlist in my library with that name! When I click on one of them, it will play some organ music that is vaguely familiar, but not immediately placeable by me. It sounds familiar, but what album or playlist it goes with I have no idea. All of the boxes in the rightmost column are all checked. I know from a painful experiment that if I just hit delete on these mystery tracks, something somewhere in the playlists will also be disappeared and I have no idea what it will be. I found this out from working with a small playlist of five tracks. Each of these for some reason had a duplicate which shows up with the other mystery tracks at the bottom of the song list. They are at least identifiable. If I hit delete in the song list and then go back to the playlist view, the entire playlist of five songs has been wiped out. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but it is so irritating. In the prefs window advanced tab, I have the "keep itunes media folder organized" unchecked. I don't know what checking that box would do. Maybe it''s important. If anybody knows about this, I'd like to know. I'd also really really like to know how to turn off the u next for good. Man I hate that thing. -
Problems with songs skipping in ITunes Library
I recently transferred my Itunes from an old PC based computer to a new PC based laptop (GateWay M Series - Windows Vista). After that I upgraded to Itunes 8.1. I am now experiencing the problem with songs in my Library skipping after about 5 seconds into the song. I have my library sorted alphabetically, sometimes after the 5 seconds it skips down 10-15 songs before it lands on one that it plays all the way through. In one instance it played all the way through on 3 songs from the same album - only to start skipping after 5 seconds into the 4th song. It doesn't happen on every song. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to the types of songs this happens with - some of them were purchased songs, some were from CDs. I tried uninstalling the Library and then reinstalling - figuring that my library was corrupted. But - it is still doing it - only now it is doing it on different songs than before. Again no rhyme or reason. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what I can do to fix this!! My husband and son were able to transfer their libraries from the old PC to their new PC laptops and they haven't had this problem with their libraries!

I have Windows Vista and last week I upgraded my iTunes, i think it's up to 11. something or other and now all my music in my iTunes library has this scratch-type noise in the middle of the song. I've never had this issue before, all my songs played wonderfully and now every song has this scratching-type noise in the middle of it. Can someone help me?
OK, after looking into the settings on "my account" on the Verizon website, it appears that "caller ID" was removed from my "features" on my line. The only reason I actually noticed this is because I have the same phone as someone else on our account, so I looked at their features and noticed mine was missing. Any idea how to get it back on there? I can't seem to figure it out.

I'm having a problem with the registry and iTunes.
Vista stopped seeing my DVD/CD drive the other day, so I went to the registry and deleted the high and low pass filters for the drive. This fixed that problem.
Only problem now was that none of my programs would see the drive, so I had to reinstall all my burning software and such... except that iTunes, after reinstalling it 5 times, still will not see my drive.

The advanced adjustments in the Highlights & Shadows tool were combined into the "Mid Contrast" slider in Aperture 3.3 and later. If you have any images in your library that were processed in a version of Aperture before 3.3, there will be an Upgrade button in the Highlights & Shadows tool in the upper right, and the controls you asked about under the Advanced section. Clicking the Upgrade button will re-render the photo using the new version of Highlights & Shadows, and the Advanced section will be replaced with the new Mid Contrast slider. With the new version from 3.3 you probably don't need the Advanced slider, but if you want to use the older version you can download it from this page:

I'm having trouble adding "spoken word" CDs that are in a set to my library. When some of the discs have "gracenotes" info the album gets broken up as if each cd was a separate album. I haven't been able to figure out how to have all the cds in the set appear as one album. I have entered each one in the "get info" page as "1 of 7" and "2 of 7" etc, but the ones with gracenote info get put into a separate album. It's frustrating so far! Also, when I want copy an album to the burn folder so i can share it with a friend, it moves the songs as songs, not as albums. Any way around this? Thanks very much!

I have even done a repair to see if that works and it has not. Has anyone else found a new way to get it working?

My ipod touch will not switch on and is no longer recognized by itunes. Before this i tried to restore it as I was having some problems with it switching off and on by itself randomly.

I'm having two problems with iTunes, but I'm not sure if they're related issues. First, when I try to click "Download All Updates" for apps, only one update will download and I will get successive error messages for all of the other updates. However, if I click update for each individual app, they download fine. Why am I not able to download all app updates simultaneously now.
My second issue is that I cannot move songs from iTunes to my external hard drive or vice versa. When I drag the files, the blue plus sign appears, but the file does not appear where I moved it to.

Hello, well im having some problems with my ipod 4th gen it will not turn on and when i plug it in to itunes it will not come up saying i need to restore. when i try that it will not complet. the ipod will not do anything at all... please help me i havent got extra money to spend..

I'm having a problem with coreaudiotoolbox and corevideo.dll. PC was corrupted, I restored. Now when I launch Safari, I run into errors, can't find these two dll files. Itunes won't download at all because it says something is missing but won't say what. Now what do I do? Apple won't help because they want $50 dollars just to talk with me and I've been down that road before and to no satisfaction. Help please!!
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with Apple Application Support program files there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept, so an AAS problem can affect both iTunes and Safari.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Add or Remove programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click Repair.
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post (although it's for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things):
