Having problems installing Photoshop CS3...

Hello, I have been trying to install Photoshop CS3 on my new computer which has Windows 7 and everytime I install it and than click on the Icon to start the program and register it, it will paritially load (so just an outline of the window with Photoshop in the top left and the Minimize/Restore/Close on the top right as well as the File - Help tabs but if I click on those nothing happens becuase it is in the middle of loading.) the window but it will get stuck loading and eventually I will get a Not Responding window... Is there an update or something that I need to get Photoshop CS3 to work on windows 7?

Buy more RAM, plain and simple. Sounds the program is severely suffocating. for on-screen display fonts need also be rasterized, which also costs RAM, even if they otherwise remain native vectors. How much memory do you have? as a short term solution, you may wish to increase the program's RAM usage in the prefs, but it may not resolve the issues entirely.

Problems installing photoshop cs3

I have downloaded the trial version of photoshop cs3 from the adobe website. after starting the setup and the system check i get the error that it cannot carry on with the installation because it conflicts with CS3! i have noted that there are 2 cs3 icons in my dock it's been opened only once. how do I get it installed??? Can anyone please help me??? thank you!

I would like to reply to your comment about it might not apply to you on a demo.
I am here to tell you that it most certainly does apply in the case of a demo that you use the Adobe uninstall first.
I had a nightmare trying to figure out why I could not get CS3 to install after demoing PS CS3. After what felt like eternities, I finally found someone at Adobe who was able to tell me the error of my ways. It seems I had gotten so used to the idea of simply trashing applications I did that with the demo of PS CS3. He explained to me that that left behind enough bits and pieces that it was causing me troubles when I attempted to install CS3. He told me where to find the uninstall script. Once I ran that the installation worked like a charm.

Just loaded down Photoshop Adobe CS3 once I tried to run the setup I got the message that the installlation had failed and to contact support, no further comments given Can anybody help please

Wolfgang I would recommend reviewing the installation log files to determine the cause of the failure. You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot installation with install logs | CS3, CS4. You are welcome to post any specific error you discover to this discussion.

I am having problems install Photoshop elements 8.0 and premiere elements 8.0

I have recently received both photoshop elements 8.0 and premiere elements 8.0 and neither will install.
I have gone through (at length!) all the support suggestions e.g. adusting accelaration etc. Absolutley nothing works! I have spent over 4 hours trying to sort this problem which as it is a new product is extemely disappointing. I look for any helpful advice or should I just claim my money back?

I tried downloading the trial version which seems to have gone through. However although i can see lots of new files in a "Premier elements" folder in programs, I cannot see any way to open it. It has not appeared on the programs list and there is no shortcut on the desktop. How am I supposed to access this software?
If this is a trial, you really should make it more user friendly as I am not impressed at all so far.
I have spent over 6 housr now trying to get this sofware to work. If you cannot nwo get this to work, i will return to store and get refund (and use a version of Pinnacle recommended by a friend who has had no problems!
I look forward to an easy and quick resolution.
P.S I note your on line chat is useless as it is only available to USA residents.

I am having problems installing Photoshop CS6

I am trying to download the Photoshop CS6 trial verison, but it tells me there is a error when I try downloading it after installing it. It says "Your installation encounted errors", "A conflicting or prerelease verison of Photoshop CS6 has to be removed before downloading." I have deleted all Photoshop programs except CS5. I am not sure why this is happening. I am on a Mac as well.

Still do not understand what exactly I have to do to Download ( Install failed ????) Photoshop Elements Trial 11. Does this mean unles I fix it asap I will "lose" some/all of the free 30 days ? I tried in the past to trial Photoshop Elements 10 and just gave up.
I am very interested in upgrading from 9 as I have not found it an "improvement" on earlier version I had.
In fact, it has proved quite hard to see etc being so small and all so dark. Not an improvement.
Also very quick to freeze and crash my laptop.

If yes, then this error normally appears when the VC++ runtime installation fails on the machine. Try downloading and installing the VC80 and VC90 runtimes from Microsoft website and see if their installation works fine on your machine? If no, then we have the root cause of the error and we can look more on the web on how to resolve it.

There is no product called Photoshop Black Magic.
I think what that screenshot shows is a free trial copy of Black Magic - $49 software to colorize black and white photos.

The Adobe Photoshop wording at the top may simply be advertising. Without seeing the full screenshot it's hard to tell exactly.

Trouble installing Photoshop CS3

I've just recently had a clean install on my Apple iMac. I'm now re-installing all the software that I need. I'm having a problem installing Photoshop CS3. I have the folder, the serial number, and its on the list of products registered with Adobe. How do I install?

If your lucky, using the photoshop cs3 unistaller in the Applications>Utilites>Adobe Installers>Add or Remove Adobe Photoshop CS3
might work for unistalling cs3.
Then doing a fresh install from the dvd or downloader installer might work.
If not, then you'll have to download and run the CC Cleaner Tool

Then search around on your hard drive (check especially hard drive>library>application support adobe, as well as Applications)
and remove all the bits you can find, then reinstall from your original installation media.
Do you have any later versions of photoshop like cs4 already installed?

Difficulties installing photoshop cs3

Ok here is basically what is going on my friend gave me cs3 on disk which he said had the serial number on it and whatever else basically i installed the program and after trying to get it to work with the serial number that came with the disk i then had no luck so i dragged each component to the trash i then tried to download cs3 from adobe's website just the trial version after it downloaded the installation tells me that it wont install because i still have cs3 on my system but where the **** is it and how do i get rid of it if i already dragged all the cs3 programs i had on my applications folder to my trash which i thought was the normal way of removing programs on a mac and apparently it isnt anyway im working on a new macbook pro and if anyone can help out before i end up heading to the genius bar it would be helpful .

Having problems re-installing Photoshop CS3 onto my Mac

Hi, I am having a few problems with re-installing Photoshop CS3 (consisting of licensed versions of CS and the CS3 upgrade) onto my Mac after a repair. I run a 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Powerbook and OSX mountain Lion). On installation I had to ok the following error messages...."Could not import clipboard because unexpected end of file was encountered" and "Could not Synchronize colour settings because of program error" CS3 is running but simple action requests such as levels are unavailable in the batch processing and Adobe Bridge quits unexpectedly all the time aswell. Any advice on how to get a quality re-install and/or how to fix these problems? Any help much appreciated:)

I do not know what I did differently this time, but I finally got this printer to install. I wish I could leave a better solution in case others are running into a similar problem; however, I honestly have nothing to say besides uninstalling everything and then installing it again using the HP Printer Install Wizard.

I'm having problems installing Adobe Photoshop Elements 12.
The problem is right at the end of installation, it (the Install Shield Wizard) says status is registering and then immediately does an action rollback.
The message I get is:
'The wizard was interrupted before Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run the installation again.'
If anyone can offer some help, please, that would be great.
