Having trouble upgrading WLS to 10.3.2

Hi guys,
I'm having trouble upgrading the domain which is created in a prior release of weblogic to 10.3.2.
I tried to start the server and it prompted me with the option of upgrading. But somehow failed to do the upgrade.

Hi, not positive, but it sounds like maybe the Optical drive is flaky, but a lomg shot...

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 6 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
Trash old Log files.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files!
Disconnect the USB cable from any Uninterpretable Power Supply so the system doesn't shut down in the middle of the process.

One step listed in the link to "helpful" info, was (when Iooked 30 seconds ago), to search for and download the newest version of iTunes. I'm running iTunes on Win 7 machine and was prompted to update today, 10.22.2014, and did so without a problem. Having said that, however, it looks as though the latest iTunes (12.0.1.26) is finally doing what the last version refused to do, which is to actually fully populate all my playlists on my 6, but there is a hitch: 12.0.1.26 will NOT allow you to show the sidebar unless you click on "playlists," that is, you cannot keep it open all the time.
And, when plugging the 6 into the computer, the phone icon shows up but clicking on it does nada. What does work, for some strange reason, is clicking on the tiny icon (just under the "Store" menu link at top screen) which looks much like a tiny barrel, someone's idea of external drives, I suppose. The phone then comes up, with the list of stuff on the phone just under it where the sidebar used to be. Sync is now restricted to the lower right of the screen.
Apparently, you will also need to update your iPhone's software as well; some friends with the 4 and 4s, however, had troubles with them after upgrading. The message from Silicon Valley (I can see Apple from my backyard, ha ha) is apparently, "keep upgrading," folks, get rid of those old phones.

Having trouble upgrading from Tiger 10.4.11 to Snow Leopard 10.6.3.

I'm having a problem upgrading my operating system to SL 10.6.3. When I insert the install disc my iMac just rejects the disc without mounting it. My hard drive is not cluttered with applications because I mainly just surf the web. The several times I was able to get the install disc to mount, when I try to install the disc just ejects. I'm having the same problem with the Tiger 10.4 install disc when I try to restart in 10.4 so I can run disc utilities disc repair it ejects even holding down the c key. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. jwgpp

I'm Having Trouble upgrading to itunes 7.0.2

My computer won't let me upgrade to itunes version 7.0.2, I'm currently at some version of 6.0. I think it's doing some wierd error or something. Halfway through the download a pop-up comes on my screen and say cannot access HKEY, the address of the HKEY is: HKEYLOCALMACHINE\Software\Classes\QuicktimePlayerLib.QuicktimePlayerApplCLSID. The pop-up says this key cannot be accessed and then says to verify I have access to this key (which I don't know how to do) or contact my support personnel. So can someone please help me fix this problem, or else I will never be able to upgrade.

I was having the same problem, but then i ran the Windows Installer Utility clean up and removed QuickTime, and tried downloading iTunes with QuickTime again, and it worked perfectly, i was so happy. so it couldn't hurt to give it a try.

Having trouble upgrading to Leopard......

First off, sorry if this seems like a stupid or obvious question.
I'm currently running Panther and am trying to upgrade to Leopard but after I insert the CD and restart it goes to a dark gray screen and then I get that spinning pin wheel and it just stays like that. I did read where it takes around 15-30 minutes to get to the install screen but the last time I did it I let it sit for over an hour before I quit.
Can somebody help me out? Thanks.

Try resetting your PRAM.

Also try booting holding the C key after you reset the PRAM instead of having the instal disc do the restart. If you get to the instal screen, run the Disc Utility and repair permissions.

I'm having trouble upgrading from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion on MacBook Pro

I'm having issues trying to upgrade to Mountain Lion on my MacBook Pro. I'm running the latest version of Snow Leopard but everytime I try to buy the app in the apple store to upgrade to Mountain Lion it alerts me that my system is not compatibale. I don't' understand I read all the requirements and I meet all of them. My MacBook Pro is from mid to late 2007, I have 3G's of RAM, I have an Intel Duo Core 2, I'm running the latest Snow Leopard.
Anyone else encounter this problem? Any suggestions?

On my Mac OSX 10.4.11, I upgraded Quicktime 7.6.4 to Quicktime Pro. My problem is, when doing transitions in iMovie, I get the message to check the "enable flash checkbox under the Advanced Tab in Quicktime Preferences" . There is no such option offered under Preferences on my 10.4.11 Mac.

For iCloud, you need a version of iTunes 10, and 10.4.11 only supports up to 9.2.1. 10.4 offers no iCloud access, while 10.5 and 10.6 have limited access. Only 10.7 and 10.8 are integrated with iCloud.

I have the setup wizard to upgrade to the newest version on my desktop background. When I hit "next" it says to close Firefox in order to proceed. when I hit "OK" it just brings me to connection wizard box again and same t hing happens. I had orig saved the file and opened it from my documents, to get the connection wizard, if that matters. How can I get my version set up, when this issue happens? thank you.

You probably need to do an installer file clean up for Apple Software Update with the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility.
Here is a method for removal and clean up of iTunes and related programs. You might get away with just doing the Apple Software Update part rather than the whole thing. I would try just removing and cleaning ASU first.
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime (the one without iTunes)

Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program.

Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility. (Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up)
Remove any references you find to the programs you removed - strictly speaking you only need to worry about those programs where the uninstall failed.
If you don’t see an entry for one of the programs that did not uninstall, look out for blank entries or numeric entries that look like version numbers e.g. 7.x for Quicktime or 1.x for Bonjour.
restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
If it does, install iTunes.

Having trouble upgrading to iTunes 9

I Tried Upgrading to iTunes 9 and it looked like everything installed okay but when I tried to open iTunes it give me this message :
"Quicktime version 7.5.5 installed, iTunes requires Quicktime version 7.6.4 or later
Please uninstall iTunes and then install iTunes again."
I tried going and getting the newest version of Quicktime without un-installing iTunes because I am unsure if it will delete my whole iTunes library if I un-install iTunes and that still didnt work.
Can somebody please help?

I have a problem sort of like this, but when I try to open up iTunes it says: "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." I installed iTunes 9, but it just wont let me open it.

I am having trouble upgrading OS. 2008 MacBook Air 1,1 with OS 10.5.8 with 2GB.

I've browsed through the answers in this community and elsewhere online. From what I understand, I need to start with Snow Leopard and move on from there, but it seems to require a DVD reader, which I obviously don't have on the MacBook Air.
So I tried to access the apps store through the iTunes store, in order to see which OS I can download from there, but I can't seem to access a list of OS because all I'm seeing are the apps for iPhone and iPad.
I'm pretty proficient using tech, but it's my first time upgrading/maintaining a device. Your help is much appreciated!

Having trouble upgrading "The Complete U2" to iTunes Plus

I purchased "The Complete U2" in early 2005. When iTunes went DRM-Free/256kbps "The Complete U2" was not immediately available. Apparently, on 05/23/09, for many who had purchased "The Complete U2" like I did, the collection became available for upgrade to iTunes Plus. I received notification in my iTunes Plus cue on or around 05/27/09. When I tried to upgrade on 05/29/09, I received a message stating that the item is no longer available in the iTunes store. Mind you, the icon for "The Complete U2" and the "Buy Album" (for $45.00) is still in my iTunes "Upgrade to iTunes Plus" storefront.
I've been in email support contact with two different reps from Apple, and unfortunately despite communicating with a "Tier 2 iTunes" support rep, I've gotten no solid answers as to why this is the case, or whether it will at some point be available for upgrade/download. The most I've been told is that it's "the band's (U2's) decision" to sell or not sell their product and that they can choose to change sellability at any time. My own further understanding is that Universal (U2's prior record label at the time "The Complete U2" was released) pulled the plug on the initial retail sale of the product in about 07', so new users cannot purchase "The Complete U2" for the first time, any longer. What is puzzling, is that Universal would go to the lengths of providing a 256kbps DRM-free, iTunes Plus edition of "The Complete U2" only to yank it a couple of days after it became upgradable to a lucky few.
I have read online that several users who received notification on 05/23/09 of the availability of the Upgrade to iTunes Plus for "The Complete U2" were in fact successful at upgrading and downloading the content, both here in the U.S., and at users in U.K. and another European country (The Netherlands) have also mentioned being able to upgrade.
I've not read of anyone else in my predicament: Namely, my iTunes Plus upgradable content list contains the option to upgrade "The Complete U2", but when I tried to upgrade I'm receiving a message indicating that it is "no longer available for purchase."

I also could not upgrade my complete u2 library. I tried each day for the past couple of days. Last night (6/19/09) I tried again with the same results. Then I noticed that in the upgrade screen, next to the buy all button, it listed all my purchase that I could upgrade. The total cost included the $45 for the complete U2. I figured, what's the worst that could happen if I try it?
Well, to make a short story long, IT WORKED! I was able to download the U2 complete upgrade. I just had to also upgrade 8 songs from other artists.
So, if you have other songs that can be upgraded, and your Buy All option includes the $45 U2 cost. Then give it a shot. Get it while you can until they "fix the glitch"

Having trouble upgrading latest version of Firefox. Have attempted this several times and still getting message on main page that I do not have latest version. What do I need to do?

The latest version of Firefox is 9.0.1, so it looks like your updates have failed. You can look at the Knowledge Base article [[Updating Firefox]] for some troubleshooting steps. Alternatively, you might just want to try installing a fresh copy of the latest version of Firefox. I would look at the Knowledge Base article [[Backing up your information]] first. That way you'll have a backup of all your bookmarks and person information.
Then you should completely uninstall Firefox and then download a new copy from:
