Having trouble with multi cam in fcpx jumping around. I don't know how else to put it

Hey, I am editing a wedding in fcpx. I have three cameras set up. IN the middle of the wedding, one of my tracks jumps to different footage later of prior to the edit point. This is very hard to explain. It jumps when I choose the shot. Anyone who can help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem with the Mighty Mouse. After two months of aggravation, my boyfriend took it apart to see what the problem was. It's actually glued together, rather than just snapping back in place. We figured out that the problem was that the ball got dirty (as they all do), but because the Mighty Mouse bottom piece is actually glued to the mouse, we weren't able to put it back together properly, even with glue. So, now the Mighty Mouse (after only two months of use) in the electronic recycling box and we are using a generic mouse. We had wanted to buy a wireless Mighty Mouse (love the placement of the scrolling ball), but if you can't take it apart to clean the rolling ball and it stops working, then it is simply bad design.

Now I'm in trouble.
I was working last year with a MacBookPro and FCPX.
Everything nice and well.
I dediced to upgrade to MacPro, so I did a "backup" of all my Events and Projects folders of the MacBook Pro, and waited for the MacPro arrival...
Now when the MacPro downloaded the software, it has a newer FCP version and I don't know how to restore my old projects.
Could somebody help me to know where to restore my old projects and events? (it was a lot of job done to loose it now).

Don't worry. It is more than worthy to upgrade to the new FCP X 10.1.1.
Plus, the process of updating your projects and events to the new version, which uses libraries, is pretty straightforward.

Hi!!I have some problems with the synchronization of my system, and I don´t know how I can solve this!

My system consists of differents vi´s.Some of them are used to read analogic inputs and digital inputs, using the serial port.
The values that I read, go through differents vi to be proccesed, and at the end, these values are written in a file, all the values in the same file.
My problems of synchronization are:
1. I have one vi per input, and all of them use the same serial port. How can I synchronize them to avoid serial port conflicts? (using queues??) And how can I do, to get differents number of samples/sg with every vi? I have to introduce them in differents loops?
2. The other problem is that, for example, I want to read 8 samples/ s but I only want
to write two samples every second. How can I do to avoid stoping the data flow?
Maybe, my problem is that I want to see the system like
one block, and I am ignoring that, although all the system works like a block, every part works using a different "speed". I don´t know how tools can I use to combine two ideas, working like an only system( data dependence, some vis need the data of others vi to be able to work) and working getting differents numbers of samples/s.
I have seen that there are synchronization vis. I am going to glance at them, maybe I find something interesting but I amsure that your help will be very useful?

I think you are pretty much on the right track with Queues. I have implemented a very similar system myself using queues. I have even different systems connected to the serial interface, but I can synchronise them all easily using the following method:
1) Make a VI for opening the serial port and reading the data. The data (parsed to extract the numbers required) are then stored in an array (Shift register). If the pre-determined time delay is reached (say 5 seconds) the values are averaged and written to a Queue with a defined data type. Save the VI as a VI template.
2) Make a VI which starts an instance of this template VI for every channel you require. You can use VI Server to set values on the new front panel before you set it's property to "running". Setting a timer value for all can help ensure that the X-Axis of your timing values (if you require) are synchronised. The clue here is to define and initiate a QUEUE per channel. (RS-232_1, RS-232_2 and so on). The QUEUE name needs to be passed to the VI Template before running so that each VI running in the background has an individual link to the main program.
The second part of this VI simply uses an array of QUEUES, polling them one after another with a timeout of, say 5 ms. If data is found, append accordingly to an XY-Graph.
I also add in some "Auto termination" in the VI template (MAx number of values allowed in the QUEUE for example) to allow for the background processes to find out if the front-VI is still running or not. There are many different ways to do this, shoose the best for your application.
With this approach, it's not even important what instrument is connected as long as data is written in a specified format into a known QUEUE. I have also developed systems where I can transparently (almost) drop in VI Templates for instruments with similar functionality (output data) from different suppliers.

Having trouble getting multi camera edit to work in cs5

I have been follow Premiere pro cs5 classroom in a book trying to get a mutlicam to work. I nest the clips and never get the multi camera screen it shows the multi cam is enabled but only has one camera checked. I have tried highlight all or only one or none before nesting still no edit screen. What am I doing wrong? any ideas

Having trouble with my camera

Its my understanding that when I connect my camera to my iMac iMovie is supposed to open up automatically and give me the option of importing my clips or not. I read this in the "Help" section of iMovie. As it stands now when I connect my Sony HD-5 camera with my FireWire cable nothing happens. I've checked and it looks like my camera is compatible with iMovie and I've tried to connect with both the FireWire and the USB cables. I've tried clicking on "File" and selecting the "Import" option manually, but iMovie tells me then that its not able to import any files.
Has anyone had this problem and/or what can I possibly do to correct this? Like I said I'm using the new Sony HD-5 with the miniDV tapes. For importing the Sony manual says to set the camera to the Play/Edit setting. I've done everything the Sony and iMac help guides have said. I'm just lost now. Help please!!

No, Dax, you must first open iMovie, and go through the setting up process of naming the project etc. Then, if your camera is connected, the iMovie screen should show 'Camera Connected'.

Is anyone else having trouble with multi touch gestures since upgrading to ios8?

SSince I upgraded my iPad (retina, large dock port) I seem to have lost the 5 finger pinch to close apps. I can get it working again by going to settings and turning ,uti touch gestures off and on again and this seems to work for a while, until I put the ipad to sleep and wake it up again.
any ideas?

Same goes for me. No gesture on ipad2 running ios8. Plus, applications often crash, including safari and apple apps.

I am having trouble with iTunes (possible Quartz Composer Visualizer problem) but have no idea how to fix it.

I tried to use my iTunes but the icon didn't show up and instead I get a folder. The folder is titled TunesApp and in it is another folder called Contents. Contents contains: _CodeSignature, Frameworks, Info.plist, MacOS, PkgInfo, Resources, and version.plist. In the folder MacOS is my iTunes and I can use it, but I get this message:

I can only use my iTunes as long as I keep the message open. When I close the message it tells me: "Closing this window will terminate the running processes: login, bash, iTunes." I have no idea what is going on with it as it was working not too long ago. I do not think I updated it recently but I could be wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like your computer is having additional issues. I suggest taking it to your nearest Apple Store.

HT1451 I am having trouble with particular songs from albums I purchased that don't finish Playing ? any thoughts ?

I purchased several Albums and there are about 20% of the songs stop either after a few seconds or a minute into the song . Is there anyway to fix this ? its not my pc as it also does this on my Ipod very annoying I might add .

Help with iphoto dragged a picture to email now don't know how to get it back

Help Please!!! I was trying to drag a picture from Iphoto into an email, when I dragged it and placed it in the email it came up as this:
