HCM period skipping

Dear All,
My question is this, i want to skip the HCM period.
Mean if i change the earliest retroactive date in Control record and also change the earliest retroactive date in IT003 for employees through RPUTRBK0. then in payroll system skip the period or not????.
for example i have payroll run upto november 2011, now i want to skip the december and having normal data or u can say second go-live from january. I want to skip the december, please update me system will skip through above mentioned process or give the error in posting of payroll.
Your prompt response shall be highly appreciated.
Regards,

Hi,
Go to PU03, clear Earliest MD change (bonus also), set the accounted to date: at 31.12 if you want to skip December period.
But the period in December is quite important, I think you will face some issue whenever running payroll for next year. let's try.
Goodluck,
Michael

My iPod shuffle periodically skips across multiple songs...playing a song or two in full and then jumping forward or back multiple songs after playing only moments of a song. Please tell me what I can do to fix this situation. Thank you very much.

This is in regards to a 4th gen 40gb clickwheel ipod.
Hi, i've also been having a very similar problem with my ipod as well. I find that regardless of which windows-based pc i use (either my xp laptop @ home, or my win2000 desktop @ work) windows and itunes refuses to recognise my ipod. In windows explorer it will show it as a removable drive, but if i click on it, windows freezes. If I try to disconnect it, I cant because windows keeps reporting that 'the device is being used, try disconnecting later' and so then i shut down my laptop to disconnect it safely.
Lately, like you, i've also noticed that clicking sound it makes. It happens when i connect my ipod to my computer - like the drive inside it is constantly restarting or something, and i get it when i'm playing / charging it in my dock. I've also noticed that when it's playing whilst charging, it just freezes on a song, then skips a couple of songs.
I've just discovered the disgnostic tools on my ipod, so i think i'll run a couple of tests (ie HDD scan) and depending on the outcome, i'll go visit the apple store.

  • HCM PF - Skip employee and processes selection

    Hi ,
In HCM PF we can skip the employee selection . Can we also skip process selection. We place the HCMPF link on sharepoint where it says something like "change employee group" as an example. There is no point in selection the processes again on SAP portal. Can we bypass the process selection step by mentioning the process ID in the URL or something like that?
    Appreciate your inputs here

    Sidharth
was aware of the fact that we can skip employee selection from EhP4 onwards.
My question was more around bypassing the process selection step which Jithu answered
    Thank sJithu.

  • ITunes plays a few seconds and skips

My daughter's PC crashed and I had to rebuild it, but I was able to get her music off of the drive before I rebuilt.
An odd thing is happening now. She has several songs that she purchased from the iTunes store that will play a few seconds, then skip to the next song. They do it on her PC and mine (where I copied the music before I rebuilt her PC). Both are Windows XP Pro.
The files appear to be full size. I have burned them to a CD through iTunes, but they do the same thing on a CD player. If I open them in QuickTime, they play all the way through, but have periodic "skips" in the song, the first occurring where it completely stops in iTunes. They also only play a few seconds on the iPod before skipping to the next song.
It isn't all of her music and it's not all of her purchased music. It is just selected songs.
I found a thread on another message board somewhere of someone with the same problem, but as is usually the case, there was not resolution given.
Does anyone have any ideas what caused it and how we can correct the problem? Will Apple do anything about it?

If the song was corrupted during the import into iTunes, it needs deleting from there (and your iPod) and re-importing.

  • IPod Classic - skips tracks between songs

i have a brand 120G classic. when i play with my BOSE sound dock it periodically skips half way through tracks -- various tracks. But when i use any of my other iPods (iTouch, mini, friends classix) they work fine (so that eliminates the docking station being at fault.
i have rebooted, reloaded, reinstalled software for the iPod classic. BUT it keeps happening.
    any ideas?

I, like everyone else, am having the same issue. I have a black 120GB classic. Noticed the issue while deployed to Iraq and working out in the gym. Thought it was a headphone issue (was using the ear buds with remote) returned them and problem remains. Now back and having the problem even when not being moved around. I am gonna try the back light recommendation, but, I don't like having the back light always on, so, that is a pain in the butt. I, too, AGREE that having this problem listed for OVER a year now is POOR business management APPLE!!!! This is the only issue I have ever had with apple products....But, definitely the most ANNOYING problem to have...

  • Ipod skipping

My ipod has started periodically skipping to the next song half way through tracks that are currently playing. One group of songs were hard to listen to seeing as it kept skipping to the next half way through each track. is there any way to fix this???
    MDD G4,   Mac OS X (10.4.2)

I had the same problem with 30 GB iPod video.
You just have to recode your song to wav, and then back to Mp3/Wma.
I don't know what coused that, but it worked for me...
Even now, if I rip music from cd and after puting it without recoding on my iPod, it starts skipping those songs.

  • How to develop a GUI in my game

    Hi,
I'm working on a multiplayer game in Java 1.4. This is more like a prototype than a commercial quality game, and since the focus of my work is on the networking capabilities of the game, I want to spend the least possible time with mundane things like how to type information and select things on my game...in other words, having a GUI that can provide the game with a menu/submenus, buttons, textfields and the like.
I've done several Swing applications before but this is different, since the event loop is provided by me (as any other game) and I'm using "active rendering" to display the graphics on screen.
Does anyone knows how can I use the Swing (or AWT) components in my game?
    Thanks in advance.
    Gabriel

    Hi,
Thanks for the ansewr. I've been doing an example and I could get my Swing dialog to appear in the screen.
Below is thesource code of my example. It works but it seems to me that the animation of the square is flickering somehow (I think is double buffered) and the frame rate is somewhat low.
I would like to know how to improve those things in the example so I could use it in my game.
    Regards,
    Gabriel

  • BT is either appalling for gaming, or their router...

I am a uni student, studying computer science with games development. Whenever I come back home for the summer I practically pull my hair out over the appaling quality of service I get from BT. It's beyond my control to change the ISP (as I spend the summer at my parents' house), and although I can afford satellite broadband, I'd rather not fork out if I can help it.
Anyway, the root of the issue is this; in any online game, there is constant periodic 'skips' (lag), potentially caused by data packets being lost, but I can't say for certain. It's so appalling, that I've tried as much as I can to rectify the problem, which was to:
Replace every component between the router, telephone lines, and wall. Still no better.
Reset the router, to factory settings, tried every possible option in the homehub menu, and reset it again
Considered it could be wireless, so moved my desktop miles away from my desk and tested it in a wired connection, but no change
Turn off every other device capabale of so much as thinking about connecting to the internet in the house, and stopped every running program on my remaining computer except for the games I was testing
Moved the router to as many locations as I could
Tried it both with my laptop and my desktop, which are two different brands with different hardware, but give the same problem
Now, all this testing means that it can only be either BT's line strength or something wrong with the router (home hub, software ver. 4.7.5.1.83 (Type B)), which is a poor excuse for a router anyway with no QoS, MAC filtering, or anything more advanced than a caveman with a club.
Specifically, the problems I'm getting are:
Very poor bandwidth for download/upload, but my parents live in a 2MB max area, so I can live with this
More importantly, the periodic lags (actually timed them to once a minute, more or less) in games, and that's all games. It seems like packetloss, but I don't want to say for certain. Please don't mention wireless interference, because like I said I tried it on a wired connection, and there was no difference. It's so predictably periodic that I can set up a timer on my desktop and have it beep at the exact moment the lag happens; so I know this is not just random inteference.
It's my parents' connection, so there's a limit to what I can do, but I can give a phone number in private, and any help with router setup or other solutions is greatly appreciated; I'm very frustrated.
    Thank you

Do a pathping in cmd prompt to the server ip. I'm pretty sure you'll find the same as me.  Major packetloss in the BT network.  eg. I use "pathping 213.248.127.130 > c:\pltest.txt" (without the ") to see what's going on in cmd prompt and it saves the file to my c drive and yes it's to all games and to anywhere on the net.
Unfortunately changing the MTU doesn't help for me at all.  I can't view BTvision when it's happening as it stops and starts and crashes the BTVision box and gaming is a nightmare.  Also I find anything I download gets easily corrupted.  The good thing is, the more and more people who start noticing it, as I have for the last couple of months, perhaps it will be fixed faster.

  • Mp4 Video messes up preview

I'm evaluating Captivate, and working with the trial version. I created a software simulation with 24 slides. Five of these slides are quizzes. The preview works perfectly until I insert an mp4 video. Then, when it gets to slide 7, the graphics in the software simulation begin to look choppy, as if I were having memory issues. You can see the text being entered into a field, for instance, but you can't see all of the rest of the screen. The audio from the mp4 file periodically skips.
I've tried it without any other applications open, but it still does this.
Is there a setting, or something I should do to improve the quality of video presentations?
    Thanks!

    Hello,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
Do you have Windows or MAC ?
Which version of Adobe Captivate are you using ?
Did you try a different .MP4 video ?
Please metion the version of Flash Player you have on your browser.
    Thanks,
    Vikram

Any clue what could be wrong?
    Thanks

After spending many hours, I managed to find the solution to this problem. Hopefully, I can save others the time. Here is a summary of the problem and solution:
Problem: OWB installation fails unexpectedly around 86%. The java window closes without error and the stdout console reports the following:
    The following operations failed
    class oracle/bali/rts/tools/XRTSGenerator: resolution
    class oracle/bali/rts/tools/XRTSMakeBundle: resolution
Further up in the stdout listing are two ORA-29521 errors related to the XML parser.
Solution: The XML objects are either not installed in the database or their installation is incomplete. To fix, remove the XML objects and reinstall as follows:
    1. log in as sysdba ("export {SID}; sqlplus / as sysdba")
    2. enter "@$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/rmxml" and press enter. Wait for it to finish.
    3. enter "@$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/initxml" and press enter. Wait for it to finish.
    4. exit
Be sure to remove any failed OWB repositories before trying again. This may be accomplished via the repository assistant or, if all else fails, by dropping the user and all of the roles that start with "OWB".

  • IMovie '11 problem with audio when publishing to youtube or exporting, help

I recently got iMovie '11 and its kinda buggy. One problem is when you try to publish a long (above 1 min.) the audio periodically skips forward in the video, but when you play it directly from imovie there is no problem. is there a way to fix this or get around it, because it is super annoying.

I have been having the same problem. I have been using a PC for the past 5 years and using Pinnacle Studios, I had a Mac before using the PC but never owned one , I finally bought one during Thanks giving and started working on my next video on iMovie. Everything runs great but when you play back the video on imovie without moving the mouse or pausing it , some areas of the video itself, NOT THE SONG, will be cut off but when i put the mouse over the clip that has sound its there!!! What i finally did was import the video to my pc find every clip that had missing sound and put the sound in one by one. and all videos are the same file! if you want to see the that had missing audio here it is:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpoiLjcpl00
heres the video after i fixed everything:

let me know what u guys think! please!

  • 4 albums purchased from iTunes yesterday have songs not playing all the way through. They play for a period of time and skip to the next song. Everytime they are played. Can anyone help?

Some songs I purchased last night are not playing all the way through. Several songs from the 4 albums I purchased play for a period of time then just skip to the next song. The songs that do this, do it everytime they are played at the exact same spot. The songs that are affected skip to the next on iTunes on my PC which is updated to the most current iTunes and my 160gb iPod classic. Everytime they are played at the exact same spot. However on my other device, iPhone 4s all songs play just fine. I have almost 7,000 songs on my iPod and this has never happened before and I have played it awhile since downloading those albums yesterday. This is only happening with the albums purchased yesterday. Can anyone help me figure out what is wrong?

I'm having the same issue with a few songs I just downloaded. It skips randomly in the middle of the song.

  • Movie skips/freezes periodically after burned using Disk Utility

I am trying to make copies of some home movies from the original DVD using Apple's Disk Utility. First, I created the master .cdr image and have burned several DVDs with inconsistent results.
I am using 8x Taiyo Yuden DVD-Rs and burning at 4x or 2x speed using the internal Superdrive. Sometimes the burned DVD will skip or freeze periodically, sometimes it will work fine.
I need to resolve this issue so that I can have consistent quality burns. Any suggestions?

I had this problem a year or two ago.
I don't think the built in imac DVD read /write drives are up to the task.
    For quick reliable results:
Toast Titanium 8 and a Sony External Rewritable Drive.
The sony is a noisy brute but its fast and reliable.
I've burnt 100's of Taiyo Yuden DVD-Rs and had very few failures.

  • HT1657 Downloaded 2 rentals and they won't play. They ask if I would like to begin the rental period, I say yes and it takes me to the dvd screen, but does not play. I hit play, fast forward, skip chapters and nothing.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • In Log-shipping what is load delay period on secondary server - Skipping log backup file since load delay period has not expired ....

During logshipping, job on secondary server is ran successfully BUT give this information
"Skipping log backup file since load delay period has not expired ...."
What is this "Load delay period" ? Can we configure this somehow, somewhere ?
NOTE : The value on "Restore Transasction Log tab", Delay Restoring backups at least = Default (zero minutes)
    Thanks
Think BIG but Positive, may be GLOBAL better UNIVERSAL.

How to get the LSBackup, LSCopy, and LSRestore jobs back in sync...
Last I posted the issue was that my trn backups were not being copied from Primary to Secondary.
I found upon further inspection of the LS related tables  in MSDB the following likely candidates for adjustment:
    1) dbo.log_shipping_monitor_secondary, column  last_copied_file
change last copied file column to something older than the file that is stuck. For example, the value in the table was
    E:\SQLLogShip\myDB_20140527150001.trn
I changed last_copied_file to E:\SQLLogShip\myDB_20140525235000.trn. Note that this is just a made up file name that is a few minutes before the actual file that I would like to restore (myDB_2014525235428.trn). 4 mins and 28 seconds before, to
    be exact.
LSCOPY runs and voila! now it is copied from primary to secondary. That appears to be the only change needed to get the copy going again.
    2) For LSRestore, see the MSDB table dbo.log_shipping_monitor_secondary, change
    last_restored_file
again I used the made up file E:\SQLLogShip\myDB_20140525235000.trn
LSRESTORE runs and my just copied myDB_2014525235428.trn is restored
    ** note that
dbo.log_shipping_secondary_databases also has a last_restored_file column - this did not seem to have any effect, though I see that it updates after completing the above and LSRestore has run successfully, so now it is correct as well
    3) LSBackup job is still not running, the job still has a last run date in the future. Could just leave it and eventually it will come right, but I made a fairly significant time change, plus it's all an experiment....back to MSDB.
look at dbo.sysjobs, get the job_id of your LSBackup job
edit dbo.sysjobschedules - change next_run_date  next_run_time as needed to a datetime before the current time, or when you would like the job to start running.
I wouldn't be so cavalier with data that was important, but that's the benefit of being in Test, and it appears that these time comparisons are very rudimentary - a value in the relevant log shipping table and the name of the trn file. That said, if you
were facing a problem of this nature due to lost trn files, corrupted, or some similar scenario, this wouldn't fix your problem, though it _might_ allow you to continue? But in my case I know I have all the trn files, it's just the time that changed, in this
case on my Primary server, and thus the names of the trn logs got out sync.
