HD version of episodes mandatory !?
Hello all,
I have a problem/question because I just "purchased" free TV episodes on iTunes store and, as they are available in HD, iTunes is repeatingly trying to downlload the HD version of the episodes (which are huge of course) and I do NOT want this to happen !
(because I am living abroad where the internet connection is very limited and furthermore I don't need these HD versions).
How can I do this ? Because every time I launch iTunes or I make a new purchase these downloads keep coming back in the list : very annoying in fact.
Furthermore, I deleted these episodes from iTunes (the "normal" version) and, still, they continue to come for download : is there a mean to stop this HD version and/or to definitely cancel a "purchase"?

Well actually this what I did, out of any alternative.
Fortunately enough I have now an "unlimited transfer" Internet connection, because previously I was limited to 10Gb/month and then it was still a problem ...
Anyway it's sad that they didn't foresee the possibility to choose your download or cancel a download forever.

Saving, Versions and Master

I've just downloaded Aperture 3 to try it out but I'm a bit confused with how it saves the photos exactly.
I imported several photos from my digital camera and chosen to place them in the Pictures folder. I did some basic editing to a photo and closed Aperture. I noticed that my edits were saved automatically.
Now, I'm a bit confused as to how to retrieve the original master photo? Also, if I make additional modifications to that photo, would another version be saved? If so, how do I access all the versions of a photo?
Thank you for your help.You are asking how to use Aperture, unfortunately a question that is a bit overly broad. Aperture will certainly allow you to do exactly what you ask, but I suggest buying a book/CD/tutorial and working all the lessons to learn the process.
What you want is a tutorial, not a manual. One acceptable tutorial is:

Aperture does not change Masters. It makes non-destructive edits which when read by Aperture with the Master comprise Versions. A full new image is not actually created until one exports a version.
One mandatory thing to do that many tutorials fail to note is:
Back up original image files on and off site before importing into Aperture or any other images management application.

Even if versionning is a mandatory feature in a DAM like CQ5, is it possible to disable it when editing the assets Metadata.
When submiting the new metadatas, it could be cool to have 2 options : "update with versionning" and "update without"
Or, if not possible, is there a workflow or an action for "purging" asset's versions ?

First of all, disableversioning works by creating a log of sql statements to execute and after creating all of the needed statements will then execute them one by one.
The ORA-00942 error usually indicates that disableversioning has started to execute the sql log that it created. When it tries to drop a view that no longer exists, it will fail with this error. You would be able to query all_wm_vt_errors to see exactly which step it is failing at. If this view returns a row, you can call disableversioning with ignore_last_error=>true until it completes. It may require calling it multiple times dependent on the number of objects that were already dropped, but it will eventually succeed.
The ORA-01403 would normally only occur during the process of creating the sql log. If this is the case then the ignore_last_error parameter will have no effect since there is no current sql statement to skip. Also, recreating the views would have no effect in this case. Typically this error will occur when we try to get the details about an index that no longer exists. So, you would need to recreate the base LT table and any primary key or unique constraints along with the associated index. You should be able to view this information in the allwm_constraints view. If you are on a recent version of Workspace Manager and you no longer need the schema you can simply issue a drop user command and recreate the schema as needed.

Consider i am creating "Task" work item and when I fill-in the details and click on save button. It should not allow me to save if the Task does not have a parent link to other work item.
It should show Pop-up or some warning message saying that "Parent work item is NOT Linked" -
H.264 encoding with Episode Pro or Compressor ???
I will be doing some HDDVD soon and was wondering if anyone have used Episode Pro for H.264 encoding. I'm using CinemaCraft for SD encoding and find it much better than compressor but at the moment there's no affordable H.264 encoders other than Episode pro...Any suggestions ??? Thanks
Currently, I have Episode Pro 4.2.2, which is the latest version of Episode Pro. The limitations with it are that there are several small things like with H.264, where it will only do 2 pass encoding, instead of multipass, which if you're a stickler for detail like I am, you will see the difference.
Episode doesn't base it's encoding on QT, though it does make use of the codecs contained in QT. As one of the people at telestream said, they use there own proprietary engine and as a result, for the most part, does very fairly nice job.
If you were to really put to the test Episode Pro against compressor's multipass encoder, you find that all things being setup the same, that compressor would yield a technically superior image, (due to multipass encoding.)
If you are in a hurry and the quality of image is not as important as time, Episode Pro is you're choice. Now in defense of Telestream, they are a company that listens to there end users, unlike some I know, (Auto Desks Cleaner 6.5 comes to mind.) I have emailed there technical team and made suggestion on improvements to Episode Pro and believe it or not, they will be implementing my suggestions within the next 6 to 8 months. My moneys always on the company that listens to there customers.
When I have very critical work, dealing with H.264, compressor when setup correctly gives outstanding results, but now that when I have corresponded with Telestream over the last month, I'm betting that the limitations that Episode currently has, will rapidly disappear in a very short time, they just listen the there customers.
I also have 3 copies of Cleaner 6.5 and it also, (when it works) also uses multipass encoding for H.264 and resulting files look fabulous. The only problem is that I can never keep a batch running for more than a day.
Long story short, for day to day output, were perfection is not a concern, Episode Pro is a very good choice, (I own 3 copies.) For mission critical work, where high quality is a must, I unfortunately have to still use Cleaner 6.5, even though it hasn't seen an update in over a year, (not even bug fixes.) The reason for using Cleaner 6.5 is that, I guess I'm just use to the software and know were all the gotchs are, so I just work around them. Compressor again is a very good choice, but the setup is still not on par with the other encoders, this is why I use Cleaner 6.5, (for critical work) and Episode Pro, (for day to day use) there easier to setup.
Sorry for rambling on so much, I have been dealing with finding the best solution for a long time now, and still there isn't just one app that has it all, YET! I even own a copy of Sorenson 4.5, but don't use it at all. -

I have made some minor changes concerning quality and so on. I have already uploaded a new version of episode 2. Now I do not know whether iTunes changed that specific episode? I redownloaded the file and it is the old one. Or do i just have to wait a day (or two) till it sees the changed one. Or shall I change the name of the audio file?

Kind of freaking out here...I recently downloaded a trial version of Episode Pro to try out with FCP. I didn't work to my liking. I decided to uninstall it, because there was an uninstall option in the finder window with the trial application. Anyway, during the uninstall I was asked if I wanted to keep some things, and I said no...I figured these would have been items relating to the software. Well, when the installation was done, my applications folder was gone, and none of the shortcuts in my dock will work. I have a good feeling that the folder is gone, not just misplaced. Anyone think there is a chance in **** that I can get it back?That's a pretty bad installer, if it uninstalled EVERYTHING. You can recover deleted files using a tool like TechTool Pro, but the delete files will be there only if nothing new has been written over the space they occupy. Since this is on your startup disk, it is likely that just running your Mac will start overwriting that space. You may just have to backup your personal data and reinstall everything. Alternately, you can use a program called Pacifist to install your Apple apps individually, but that may be a lot of work.

Actually, before you do anything drastic, maybe you should check the possibility that the Applications folder became invisible. You can use a program called TinkerTool to make invisible files visible.

"Security Warning" dialog box when click script set to Run at Server
I am rendering a PDF form using the renderForm component. I'm setting the Target URL. I have a script on a button set to "run at server". I can render my form in a browser and fill it out, but when I click the button I get a dialog box with a title of "Security Warning". It says "Acrobat is attempting to connect to [target URL]" with options to Allow or Block. Is this the expected behaviour for server-side execution of scripts?
I'm thinking that maybe I should just use a submit button instead. The problem with that though, is that I don't want to run the mandatory field rules and validation rules. As I understand, you can't submit a form with a submit button unless all the mandatory fields are completed.
Here's the requirement. I need to have two "submit" buttons. One checks all the mandatory field rules before submitting a "final" version of the form. The other button submits a "draft" version without the mandatory checks. I was hoping that the second button could be implemented as a normal command button with a script that executes server-side. Sure enough, it attempted to submit without checking the mandatory fields. Unfortunately I ran into other undesirable side-effects including a distressing "Security Warning" dialog box.
Ideas?

Loosing catalog during rug bin

i created a catalog with 70 rpm-bundles (Name: Unifa_Basis_Katalog). These bundles have to be installed in a specific order ( bad coding ;-( ).
I made a script to perform 'rug bin bundle'-commands in the order i need.
These script is part of a file-bundle and will be activated during postinstall-process.
After performing an number of 'rug bin'-commands the script freezes.

A: Yes. I also have a bundle-group and every single bundle is a member of it. Every singel bundle is also a part of the catalog.

KavithaYou have this kind of error when your Query restrictions are not enough explicit regarding the special versions.
I give you an example. You have created special version 100 for Actuals and 200 for Budget. Your Consolidation Unit scope is version dependent : 100 assigned for Actuals structure and 200 for Budget structure. if you build a query with one column with Actuals figures and a comparative one with Budget figures, you will have to restrict :
1) the first column with special version 100 and explicit key date

QUERY when run on WEB and RSRT then RRI show selection screen on receiver.
Hi,
We have two query: Query 1 and Query 2.
Query 1 can be RRI to Query 2.
The variable for fiscal period and Forecast version are both mandatory. The selection for plan version is optional.
When run this on BEx Analyzer, the jump work smoothly without pop-up of selection screen of the receiver query.
However, when run on RSRT and Web, the selection screen is being pop-up and you need to press execute button before the 2nd query will be shown.
The value of the variables is pass correctly.
Fiscal Period on 1st query is being restricted by two variables.. one interval variable on Free characteristics.. and one single variable on restriction of key figure. The single variable is the one exist and passed on the 2nd query.
Hope you can help me.the only thing i can think of on the wbe is a setting for opening windows in tabs or open new window under tools for rsrt not sure, did you try to run it in HTML in rsrt?
it could be setting in SPRO for reporting worse comes to worse open a note with sap. -

I have two questions:
1. is it mandatory this attribute?
In http://ns.useplus.org/LDF/ldf-XMPSpecification they says that is only used in case of misunderstanding.
2. If yes, how can I implement this?
With an event on the save button?
I believe it's more difficult and it's not so useful..

to answer your questions.
1. As far as I know, the plus:Version is not mandatory.
2. I used the following algorithm in "FileInfo". A hidden XMPTextInput field at the end of the form contains the version.
On the xmpWrite event, I check if the XMP packet has been modified and contains any plus:* values.
In that case I add the version only if at least one plus property is contained in the packet, otherwise it is removed.

hai everybody i'm new to this MI forum and this is my first post .i have WEB AS 6.4.0., NDS 2.09
i downloaded MDK from SDN and did my first application by downloading Standard AWT example code from downloads\index.html i.e., MDK_configExampleAWT.jar, then it is asking external JARs like MEg.jar, me2lib.jar,MEl.jar, jasper.jar
i<b> could not able to get MEl.jar and jasper.jar.</b> In the path it is showing that we find it in download\lib but to my suprise there is no lib folder in downloads. Then i removed MEl.jar from my application and exported to WebConsole . After login to Webconsole it is asking Mobile Component name, Version and some mandatory fields.There i got stuck up.
so please guide me with necessary steps and help me to run my first application.

In Order to deploy an APPLICATION in MI client perform these methods:-
1. Login in WebConsole which you already done.
2. Click on upload mobile component.
3. Fill the entries like - component type as application,mobile component as the name of the application,Description any thing you want to describe about your application.Runtime enviroment as AWT.And then browse your applications.
4.After uploading click on administration and then add entries and then fill all the entries.
5. After adding go to ur MI Client and then Login and synchronize
