I just bought a 42'' HDTV two days ago, and i think it's a little big for my bedroom. So i want to change to a smaller size.
I already open the box because i need to try it first at home (but everything is new and no missing parts). So if i want to bring it to bestbuy for return or exchange, will bestbuy charge me a 15% of restocking fee? or will they do 100% refund?

DVI Component to HDTV : no setting works
I have a DVI to component video cable connected to the DVI port on my Mac Pro running out to the component input of my HDTV. The video card is the X1900. Leopard detects this as a VGA display. Wierd considering its not VGA but whatever. I get signal to the HDTV but I can't seem to find a resolution/refresh rate setting that works. Every setting I try shows an unusable picture. I believe for television the refresh rate needs to be 60hz. I checked the specs of the X1900 and it does, in fact, support component video out. This is from their website (http://ati.amd.com/products/Radeonx1900/specs.html):

The card is capable so it must be a Leopard thing right? Could the issue be related to the fact that its being detected as a VGA display?Is there any indication at all that the Mac sees the Grundig? In Displays preferences there should be an "Arrangement" tab and you should also be seeing two sets of timings. If the Mac is not seeing it at all, you may need to exchange the Mini DVI to DVI adapter for a Mini DVI to VGA adapter and hook up to the TV by VGA.
Does the Grundig user manual mention computer connections? Usually the manual would say which input port is suitable to connect to a computer. -
I purchased a VGA display adapter from Apple. I want to connect my iBook to a HDTV with HDMI interface. What cable do I need to connect the end of the adapter which appears to be a serial connector to the HDTV? Thanks for any assistance.
I would use the Apple mini-DVI to DVI adapter and then get a DVIU to HDMI cable from a local retailer. They are also available online from a ton of places - and probably at a lot lower price.
There really is no need to involve VGA when you would need another adapter to go from VGA to DVI, then the cable to go from DVI to HDMI. I would take that adapter to your local Apple Store and see if they would do an exchange for you. -
Error while Provisioning a user to Exchange:Configuration OIM 9.1 & JBOSS
Hi,
I am facing the below error while provisioning a user to Exchange. The Resource gets provisioned. But inside the resource, two tasks (Create User & Set Mailbox) are rejected. When i retry these tasks, the Resource status is set to Revoked in the Resource Profile of OIM. The AD Provisioning is working fine. There are 2 AD IT Resources here. Database is Oracle 10g.

Cannot send email from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013
Hello Anyone,
Anyone can help? I've prepare MS Exchange 2013 already, for Migration MS Exchange 2007 and I got the issue.
My issue is I can't send email from Exchange 2007 to Exchagen 2013, but for Exchange 2013 can send email to Exchange 2007,
is my issue only internal email for external email both Exchange server is working fine.

Cannot send email from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013 - Coexistence
Existing Exchange 2007 SP3 1 MBX, 2 CAS/HT, 2 ET servers.
I have added an Exchange 2013 server with MBX/CAS role.
Email will flow from Ex2013 server no problem. Mail from Ex2007 systems cannot deliver to Ex2013 boxes, it dies in queue with a 4.4.7 expired message after issuing a delay message.
I can telnet to ports 25, 587,717,465,475, and 2525 from Ex2007 HT role to new Exchange 2013 server. I can send email from Ex2007 HT role server to new Exchange 2013 server using telnet to port 25.
A ‘get-mailbox’ from the Ex2007 HT role server returns the server and database properly on the test users on Exchange 2013 server.
The only strange thing I am seeing is from the Ex2007 systems, a ‘get-exchange server’ command shows the new Ex2013 server as role ‘16439’ which looks to perhaps be normal.
Why is email not flowing to the new users on Exchange 2013?You should have exchange server authentication ticked in Default Receive connector in Exchange2007.
Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2013 in the same subnet/network. if not please check any spam agent running between the networks. Are you running antispam on Exchange2013 ?

IPhone Deletes Exchange Emails To Wrong Folder
Hello all!
I have a Microsoft Exchange mail account setup on my iPhone 4 (iOS 6.1) which works wonderfully, short of one aspect: Emails deleted from my phone do not go to the accounts standard 'Trash' folder, but to a different 'Deleted' folder. I can see no way to change this setting. Any ideas?Thanks Templeton. This is the only definitive answer I've found anywhere. Turns out my iPhone was correct and my other email clients are sending to the wrong folder!

For the past week my phone will not push the new emails to my phone. I have it where I fetch my emails manually. I'm getting the spinning wheel of death and it says "Checking for mail", but the emails will not show up.
Something seems to be sucking the battery life out of my phone. (Is this related?)
What I have done: Reset the phone; deleted the email account and added it back on. Nothing seems to work.
Everything else on my phone seems to be working fine.

This problem started a couple of months ago. I only receive about 25% of my inbox when I login remotely to the webmail exchange account. My inbox on my office PC is fine but the emails do not display in my inbox when I login to the webmail exchange account.
THis happens on other Mac computers, not just my personal computer at home. It's the same thing when I login from my gymDoes the Outlook Exchange client is up-to-date?

Often lose wireless connection when using HDTV as monitor
I have an unusual wireless networking problem when using my Samsung HDTV in my living room as a monitor for my MacBook (when watching Internet TV shows, for example). Frequently when I switch URLs, networking freezes, even though the connection appears strong, with the Airport symbol at the top of my screen showing all bars. To re-establish the wireless connection, I have to go through the process of re-joining my network through the “Join Other Network" option. The signal holds as long as I don’t try to change it, as in selecting another URL.
I connect to my HDTV via HDMI cable, using a mini-DVI to HDMI adapter from my Macbook’s video-out port. The audio connection is a mini-plug from the Mac’s headphone out jack to stereo RCA plugs associated with the TV’s HDMI port.
The wireless connection is through a Lynksys Wireless-G 2.4 Ghz, 54 Mpbs Broadband router.
I’d appreciate any solutions the Apple user community has to offer.I'd say this has nothing to do with your display. The problem will likely lie in either your router settings, network settings or a simple signal strength issue. Try first changing the broadcast channel on your router, and make sure all settings are correct for your desired network.

How to connect my MacBook to HDTV troubleshooting

So i went out and got all of the appropriate cables, i have a late 2008 black MacBook so I got the DVI to HDMI cable, and a separate cable for audio. I hook them all up, go to the proper input on my tv, and all i see is my desktop picture. No icons on the bottom, whenever i run a program (firefox, safari, anything) it does not appear on my HDTV. Do i need to have the MacBook closed (clamshell) after its hooked up and use an external mouse to make this work? what am i missing?

There is a Mac user reporting an issue in trying to use one of these in the Intel-based iMac display forum. He is using a mini-DVI to HDMI adapter and an HDMI to HDMI cable plugged into a HDMI port on his plasma TV and nothing is happening. But he is also reporting the same issue with mini-DVI to VGA adapter and an VGA to VGA cable plugged into the VGA port on his plasma TV. So the problem may not involve this mini-DVI to HDMI adapter.
I use Apple's mini-DVI to DVI adapter connected to a Belkin DVI to HDMI cable plugged into the HDMI port on my LG LCD HDTV with great success with my new Early 2009 Mac mini. The Apple mini-DVI to DVI adapter came with my Mac mini and I bought the Belkin DVI to HDMI cable at the Apple Store when I bought the Mac mini. Both are also available from the Apple Store online for US$19 each.
The MacBook Pro has a mini-DisplayPort. Apple also has a mini-DisplayPort to DVI adapter for US$29. So that could also connect with the Belkin DVI to HDMI cable.
I did Google for a mini-DisplayPort to HDMI adapter and there are a few 3rd party venders of this adapter as well. -
How can I send email using two different email address that both link back to my one exchange account on my Ipad mini?
On my PC I simply have a master return email address and use a POP for the secondary address. Both are through the one exchange account without a problem. I need to be able to do the same on my Ipad.Ah, I should have made that clear. My domain didn't come from google. It was purchased at and is hosted at dreamhost, but I haven't used their email servers in years - I just route everything through gmail. I actually have a bunch of domains (with websites).
Gmail has an option that lets someone with custom domains send (and receive) email through gmail using the custom domain once Google confirms proper ownership of the domain (to prevent spammers and such). Gmail has a setting for "send email as" which allows gmail to be sent using a custom domain as the sender. I'm pretty sure Apple's old mobileme had this feature too, but I didn't use it.
