CS3 print fix doesn't work - any ideas

have CS3 (all available updates) + WinXP SP3 - I can open one photo & close it without problems. If I try to open a second photo via bridge or direct from "My Pictures" I get the error msg: could not complete your request because of a programme error. Used fix "Photoshop CS3 or Photoshop Elements 6 crashes when you open more than one image (Windows)" i.e. created a dummy printer as a default which worked initially but no longer. Any other ideas? Is the dummy printer still default?
Are you opening/saving files or printing over a network?
You could try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ

You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.
This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.
1 I have tried using a dummy printer as a default AND as I have two printers, the one I do not use to print photos as the default. No joy either way.
2 No I am not on a network - the printers are directly connected to my PC
3 Tried your suggestion of resetting preferences as per the FAQ & the link provided (thans for that) but still no joy
I dont know if this helps at all: When I open the first photo I do so, so as to use page set up (with view to performing a batch print). I alter in that dialogue box from the default printer to the one I wish to use. On closing the 1st photo I have tried both "save changes" and "dont save changes". Neither makes any difference if I then try to open a second (or indeed the same 1st photo).
Any other ideas or is it simplier (though more costly) to upgrade to CS4? Incidentally any idea if CS5 is due soon?

I have often emailed myself to test a new address etc. Someone emailed me yesterday and it did not arrive so I tried a self check (frm Mozilla) and it did not arrive either. I emailed myself using webmail and the message arrived in both the webmail and Mozilla inboxes! Any ideas on what has happened, please? Regards. doddie

If your providers SMTP server accepted the sent mail from Thunderbird it is done. What happens after that is your providers operation. When the message did not arrive back to you was the message in your Inbox on the server when you checked? Thunderbird downloads messages from your Inbox on the server. If the message is not there, it cannot download it.
Comparing mail sent thru SMTP servers and web mail means nothing. Complete different process through different servers.
All it proves is that you know your username and password.

Hi, I'm using a powerbook g4 with osx 10.4.9 with Ichat AV 3.1.8 with the apple isight web cam. I'm trying to connect with a family member who's using a logitech quickcam pro 4000 camera with updated logitech software on a pc with the latest Vista operating system. We're up and running with AIM and can send text messages but we can't communicate using the web cams. my family member and myself can get an image of ourselves with our own web cams, so the cameras are working, we just can't see each other. I'm also using an airport extreme, I don't know whether this makes any difference or not. My firewall is set to off. If any of you have any ideas on how to get this stuff up and running, I would apreciate your help. Thank you!

On Vista AIM 6.1.32.1 seems to be better.
ON the PC they will still have to allow it though the Firewall
Hopefully the Vista Firewall has not changed too much from XP

My camera doesn't work any ideas?

I just purchased a MacBook Pro 2011 from a guy off Craigslist, and I noticed the camera doesn't work. Any suggestions how to fix this. If ou open any apps like facetime it just shows a camera with a line through it.

Take it to theApple store, they diagnois for free, and give you a price for repair. A flat rate to repair all that is wrong with the machine, about 1/3rd the price of the price of the least expensive MBP. Does'nt sound healthty. Maybe why he sold it.

I have a perplexing problem, in firefox the iframe in the spry tabbed panel doesn't work any ideas?

I have made a page with spry tabbed panels, i have embedded an iframe in the content section of the second tab, this works perfectly well with Google, IE, Safari, Opera etc but just doesnt work in Firefox.
If I make the tab panel containing the iframe the Default tab then it works, i just cant figure out why,

If not, make sure to run the validator here The W3C Markup Validation Service and clear out any problems. HTML errors, especially structural ones, will cause all kinds of display problems in various browsers/versions/platforms.

Dropped my phone in water and now the camera doesn't work, any ideas why its' the only thing not working

I somehow knocked my iphone 4s in the sink of water and everything seems to work except the camera. Is there a way to reinstall the software or does anyone know what I can do other than using phone protection insurance? All my pictures are there and they upload and share but just can't get the camera to take pictures.

The device is damage, it was dropped in water. You are lucky that the device works at all.

I assume you already have an AIM account, and have entered the correct user name and password in the AIM App.
This sounds similar to a problem where the iPad connects to your WiFi, but can't reach the internet. It could be a compatibility problem with your WiFi router.
You can try resetting the iPad's network. Go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. You will then need to reconnect to your WiFi.
Another thing to try is to reboot the iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Rebooting will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

If you bought the MBP new 3 weeks ago, it should have come with Mountain Lion already installed. Did you update your MBP to the newly released 10.8.4 update? If not, what OS were you running before the upgrade, and what version of Mountain Lion do you have now?

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.
