i see that people are discussing about "syncing"...
do i need to sync my ipod frequently?
what does sync do?
is it essential and important for me to maintain my ipod
in a good condition?

You can look for it.
Where do you remember last seeing it? Have you looked there?
Have you looked in your bedroom, under the pile of clothes and other detritus?
Have you asked your mum if she has tidied it away?
Have you asked your siblings if any of them have borrowed it?
Have you extended your search to the whole house?
Have you checked the family car?
Did you leave it at a friend or relative's house?

Hmmm, can you check the IPs of other things connect to the Router to see if one has the same IP as this one?

Connect it to your computer and restore it as a new device. Then chose what music you want to sync with it and do so just like your Touch does.

I'm unable to update Firefox. operation can't be completed because you don't have permission to access some of the items. I own the computer, why would I not have permission? This has happened other times and I don't know what it means.

I just wanted to update firefox and it won't let me. I drag the icon into applications, then a window ask me if I want to replace older version. I click yes and the window mentioned above appears. I purchased this computer new, I'm the only owner. Why would I not give myself permission to do something on my own computer.

If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions or have problems with updating then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Adobe Flash Player won't operate when I am using Mozilla. The window says that it is disabled. I have tried enabling it, but it doesn't do anything. Hmmm, I bought a 60-GB Ipod Classic at first then it was stolen. The thing is my 2 year warranty didn't kick-in, nether did my car insurance which doesn't cover theft.
So I had to take the loss and come up with cash for another Ipod but this time it was the 80-GB Classic. Now this one has crashed. So I may try ZUNE this time, are you listening @ APPLE ? I've only had this new one since July 7th- 07.
So far I've shelled out roughly $930.00 for two APPLE Ipods with the 2 year warranty in approve. 18 months.
Another thing is that I didn't transfer the warranty to the new Ipod. They don't tell you themselves about the transfer but you have to take the initiative yourself. They never offered to give me the paperwork. There you have it the pitfall of not transferring your warranty. Without that warranty you are left holding the bag. So get that warranty puuuleeeezze.

My mistake, it was nothing to do with format. It woldn't sync because my movies were HD. HD movies won't sync to an iopd classic 160 GB but when you purchase a HD movie, itunes gives you a SD vervsion of the movie which is compatible with the ipod. Just needed to go to store, click movies, click purchased and untick the HD box and there you have the SD versions. Download the SD versions and then sync your ipod and bobs you uncle, movies are on the ipod

I've got a feeling that's the way it is. I know that if I turn the volume down all the way, I can still hear the music very softly -- which is great for listening when I have a migraine!
