Hello, just got a refurbished Macbook as the backlight on 1st gen. Pro went out. Transferred everything but it does not want to let me connect the ipod. I get this message
This computer is no longer authorized to play purchased items that are on the iPod “John Rowe’s iPod touch 2”. Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store? When I click authorize it gives me a very old email sign in.
I change it to the current with password and then I get this message.
This computer is already authorized.
Including this one, you have authorized 4 computers out of your available 5.
And this goes around in a circle.
Any advice?

I just purchased a camera packaged with Adobe photoshop Elements 11. I have a mac book air- which does not have a cd drive. The package did not come with a code or anything that would provide me with another way to install photoshop that came with my camera. Is there any other way i can install this on my camera without using the provided cd or buying the software again?
That doesn't help the user with the serial code though.

I connect my Macbook 13" to my thunderbolt to display on my HD television but it keeps asking for a KeyChain password for "user-hp". My key keychain password is nothing but it does not want to accept and not display my screen to the Television. Suggestion

My phone does not want to come on pass the 'connect to itunes' logo on the screen. This happened after I was updating the phone software through itunes, and itunes said I needed to restore my phone if it is to work with itunes, which I did. An error (1015) box popped up and... well.... here we are. I have an iphone 3G. The support coverage is expired.

i'm trying to redeem my itunes gift card and i get the message "session timed out." does anyone know why i'm not able to redeem my card and why i get this message in stead?

Every time I try to purchase a song, "session has timed out" shows up after I click "agree" to the terms!? I seem to be in the exact same scenario as 'SportsBarn' above: Itunes support have replied repeatedly with the same "solutions" but nothing has helped or even been applicable. I have an older laptop, 2005 Powerbook running OS X 10.4 Tiger so it's not compatible with the latest iTunes 10.5.2 which requires minimum OS X 10.5. I've been using the balance already in my iTunes account (from redeemed giftcards over the past few years) with no problem, until recently (my last successful purchase was October 2011). I wonder if it's the older OS or just a redemption glitch even with newer computers? -
I bought a new imac running Loin with Office 2011. I am the only mac in the office and the Server we use to access emails runs exchange 2003 and my IT person says the imac is not compatible with the server. The server does not want to let me access using any email software other than webmail access through our website. It looks as though 2011 is not compatible with 2003 per some searches online, but what are some options I have to gain full access again? I purchased parallels in hopes that this my help and I am able to use remote desktop connection to log on to server but can not drag and drop files I need. There is a shared drive on that Server we all use to exchange files.
The two main issues are gaining access to my email again and ability to drag and drop files from mac to pc. I hope this is enough info to get some solutions.
PS - IT person says my iMac's IP is what his server does not understand so that is why I can not login.Office 2011 is not compatbile with Exchange 2003.

When the user press the button Calculate Tax and click on Tax details then this should be updated automatically. But it does not work it is empty and the user has to update manually.
All setup looks fine.
Please let me know what can be done on this?

The iPad cover lock is for when you use a cover with magnets in it to lock and unlock the iPad when you close the cover or open it. Try running a refrigerator magnet along the sides of the iPad and see if that trips the iPad Cover Lock back into the settings.
That is not the same thing as the iPad Auto Lock setting which allows you to set an allotted time before the iPad goes to sleep.
You can try resetting all settings to see if the Auto Lock feature retinrs to the iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. This can be a little time consuming re-entering all of the device settings again. -
My time machine does not want to save any more the data from my powerbook 13" Snow Leopard; i get the message "Time Machine could not suppress the disk image of saving "Volumes/Time Capsule Disk/PowerBook _2011_03_21_123627 sparsebundle" What is the problem? What should I do?

The Acrobat updater keeps on asking me for a password, but it does not accept my Apple ID or my Adobe password. What password do you folks want?
I'm guessing it needs a password to update your system - that is, the administrator password. Most software needs this when you install it.
This is the password you (or someone) chose when you first switched on your computer. -

I have the macBookPro and the problem is the mouse pad does not work I tried everything but still does not work what should i do ?
so i'm using the usb mouseI want to clarify the issue.
The issue is with the MBP trackpad, and it works fine with an attached USB mouse.
With some ingenuity, you might be able to fix this yourself, but I suggest visiting your local Apple Store/Genius Bar. Some have fixed this issue and have posted their results online, but the Apple Store should be your first destination.
