  • My IPod Touch 4g won't charge or sync, how do I fix it?

I had my IPod Touch 4 generation for 2 years now and suddenly my ipod won't connect to my laptop nor to any other computer source in my household. Before my IPod would only sync and not charge, so I would had to figit with the sync cable connected to my IPod just so I can make it charge and sync at the same time. Now it won't do either and my laptop doesn't even recognize there's a device connected (It doesn't even say "Device has malfunctioned, Computer can't recognize device). I open Device Manager and no IPod connected at all. I tried different sync cables and it's not making any differences. My IPod is drain out of its battery right now and when I connected, the IPod screen stays blank and when I click the power button, All it tells me is that my battery is low and i need to connected to a power source to charge it even though I have it connected to my laptop
Now I have this feeling that there is something wrong with my IPod, but I don't know what it is. is it: Old Age, The Battery's dead and needs to be replaced, The place, on the IPod, where you connect the syncing cable to the ipod is broken? I have no idea and I have things in my IPod that I need to get urgently. So is there anyway to fix this or do I have to go to an apple store and see what they can do
Thank you for all your help, I gladly appreciate it

  • Ipod touch 5 sound crackles and bad quality - how do I fix it?

When I plug my 5th gen iPod touch into speakers or headphones the sound quality is awful and it is crackles and there is lots of "noise". There must be something wrong with How can I fix this?

    Do headphones sound OK?
Assuming the speaker sound OK when connected to another device:
    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack or other hardware problem?.

  • Why is my IPod Touch ? generation saying "no WiFi" and how do i fix it?

I have an iphod touch, it does not have a camera but im unsure of the version. I have not used this ipod in several years but i need it for a back up. Anyways, it did not show the signal bars or anything, when i went into settings, there is not an airplane mode it simply just says "WiFi" and next to that option it said "No WiFi" it did not allow me to access for more details, it simply just said No WiFi. How can i fix this? i have done the normal things, make sure my WiFi is usable on other devices, such as the lap top i am using wirelessly right now. Also my mothers phone is capable of connecting to the WiFi.
I have also restored the ipod completely, and reset it and i have also applied the 4.2 update (which is the latest for this version)
Please help? it is my only source of portable technology and i need it for school, any information would be very helpful, but i have already done the basics, which are listed above. Please let me know!

  • My ipod touch music is messed up.. How do i fix it?!

Hey. My ipod touch wont play some music tracks..They are songs that i ahve recently play before but now they wont play. The ipod will play some songs perfectly then not play others at all. It will say its playing but then wont play it will just sit there or it will say its playing one song then play another. And more stuff.

You probably will need to take or send the iPad to Apple and pay for replacement. But tell us what you mean by "color is messed up" and perhaps there's a suggestion we can make short of replacement.
    Regards.

my ipod has been either stolen or misplaced is their anyway possible that i can
have the location of my ipod emailed.

    Welcome to the Apple community.

  • My iPod touch 5 front camera isn't working, how do I fix it?

My I pod touch 5 front camera isn't working. How can I fix it. I have also already tried to reset it multiple times.

If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

  • My ipod touch is stuck in zoom mode. How do I fix this?

I've updated the software, updated my Itunes, restored the stupid thing, I'm running out of options. Because of this issue I can't even really get into the main screen, because all I can see is the upper left hand corner of the lock screen.

    Hi,
Tap twice with 3 fingers. Then go to Settings>General and scroll down to Accessibility and turn Zoom off.

  • IPOD TOUCH STOPPED LOADING YOU TUBE OTHER WiFi sites OK

My ipod touch stopped loading You Tube.  All others such as Facebook etc. load fine so it isn't a router problem.  I tried the m.youtube.com on my wireless laptop and it loads fine. The date and time and other settings I though of seem to be OK.  This ipod touch 32g is 3 only months old. Very frustrating.

    - Try resetting your iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next restore from backup via iTunes
    - Then, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
