Help adding e mail address to bt .

ive just received a messagein yahoo mail from bt. but i uually get messages in my outlook mail too. when i looked at bt it has an old e mail adress and my bt one. how do i add my outlook adress to bt mail so that i get messages in both accounts. i dont understand this as i usually get messages in my outlook box from bt. but not this last one it only appears in yahoo mail.

Help with sent mail address cache

has anyone learned how to delete the addresses that come up when sending iphone mail? I accidentally sent an email to "f" and now every time I type f in the to: field, "f" is in the list of possible addresses to choose from (and it's not even a contact in my iPhone address book).
It's irritating that i cant delete things in that suggestion list. Any thoughts out there?

This is unfortunate.
What if you've unsubscribed to a newsletter via the iPhone mail client ([email protected])? That means that address will be a suggestion forever each time you type a u in the To: field. Not to mention just accidentally misspelling an email address (which is bound to happen with the soft keyboard interface from time to time).

Transport rules work partially(for 1 of 2 mail addresses)

I have an exchange 2010 setup.
I want to catch all mails that are send from 1 specific address and send a copy to 2 mailboxes.
First I tried to create the rule,but it didn't work.
Next,
I have created a transport rule, added 2 mail addresses(primary and secondary) for from( people) and forward the mail to a specific mailbox.
When I send an e-mail from my secondary address the rule works(yeah), when the e-mails from the primary are received, the rule does work(d'oh).
When I added the rules, I restarted the transport role to be sure everything is loaded.
I already enabled pipelinetracing for the primary e-mail address, but can't get any wiser of it.

Used blackberry - locked BIS - cannot add personal e-mail address

I purchased a used blackberry (tmobile - same carrier that I have) off ebay. When I ran the set-up wizard, I had only two options for adding e-mail address (work e-mail address with enterprise or skip this option). I understand that I can register new e-mail addresses online with tmobile. However, when I try to do this - it says the Pin has already been used. The ebay seller is not responding with his username or in calling tmobile directly to terminate the lock. Is there some way for me to get around this and access BIS?

You can try contacting T-Mobile to ask them to release the PIN from his account. Not sure if it will work or not. Until it is released from that person's account you won't be able to use it. But try calling T-Mobile to see what they say.

To add them manually click on the star to the right of the senders address when viewing the message in the message pane or a tab. If the star is filled with color, the contact is already in your address book. If the star is blank, clicking it will add it. Clicking the star a second time will open the edit dialog box.
This is NOT the same star that is to the left of the message header in the Inbox view.
There are some add ons that will add all incoming addresses to their address book. I cannot imaging why anyone would want to do this, but it is available. You can search the add on list for these applications if that interests you"

Automatically adding contacts to Address Book with Mail?

This is my first post in the Apple Discussion forum, but I'm a happy Mac owner since July 2007. Here's a question I have; I searched to see if a similar topic appeared in previous discussions, but none turned up.
In Microsoft Outlook (on my work PC), I can set it up so that anytime I reply to an e-mail address from somebody new, the contact is automatically added to my address book. Is there a way to set that up with Mail and/or Address Book?
I was going through Address Book and noticed some VERY old contacts, but I know for some of them, I have more recent e-mail address. I hope I don't have to manually add all of them!

Hi Mark, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Sadly, I don't know how to do it for received Mail, but ones you've sent to can be done in Mail. Select Window Menu item>Previous Recipients, press Command-A when the new window appears, and then click Add to Address Book, then in Address Book>Card Menu Item, select look for Duplicates.

Adding some e-mail addresses

I have one e-mail address ([email protected]) but I'd like to add some other e-mail addresses for the kids ([email protected] / [email protected] etc). I think my FIOS account comes with 5 e-mail addresses?
How can I add these extra e-mail adresses? I want them to completely separate, with their own passwords so I can set them up on different computers and the all act independently. Your help is appreciated!

Glad it helped. Assuming that you have now added at least one sub-account, I wonder if the first option I pointed to now works? As I said, I see it, but I have several sub-accounts already defined, maybe that link only shows up after at least one sub-account exists.

Added new e-mail address but can't send messages

I started a new job today. I added my work e-mail address to my Blackberry Tour; I can receive messages from my new e-mail addresses, but I cannot send a response back. Please help! Thank you.

Try a battery pull first.
If its work email, I would check with your IT department or whoever manages your work email. They may have to do another activation. I'm not sure how they have email setup.

Mail not adding Sender to Address Book

When I have a message from someone I want added to my address book, I hit the menu button to Add Sender to Address Book, yet nothing at all happens, and I end up having to enter all the info manually. Any ideas as to why this occurs, or how to get it working?

The shift, command, Y didn't work, and when I opened the Console app, and tried the menu command, it didn't work, and I didn't see anything showing up on the Console, relative to Mail.
What I did see on the Console was endless lines like this:

I need to update my Apple ID to reflect my new e-mail address, but seem to have created a whole new Apple ID instead. Please help!

Hi- not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I'm hoping to merge my two Apple ID's, or at least get rid of the new one that isn't linked to either of my devices. I seem to have my old Apple ID, that is linked to my Iphone 4 and Mac Book Pro, Itunes etc. And my NEW Apple ID, with the correct e-mail address, that isn't linked to anything. I have tried to change my Apple ID by managing my account, but it won't let me change the e-mail address as the correct address is already being used. Please help, anyone!

Hi Julie, I have the same issue (except to complicate matters even further the .me address I'd like to keep is an alias) and have spent over an hour on the 'Express Support' chat tonight; where I've been told that to date Apple will not merge two accounts and if you choose to delete one account, that .me address/ID will never be available again ... I did ask if this was something Apple were looking at changing, but was told:
"Once an @me.com email address is created once it is used forever. To create an account you would have to use an email address that would have never been used before. I wish there was a way for us to do that, however there is not. The only way to free up an @me.com email address would be if we recycled accounts and we currently are not doing that."
Crystal, the support technician, then went on to state:
"When you remove an alias from an account that permanently deletes it and makes it unable to be used again on that account it was deleted from or on another account."
followed (after my attempts at suggesting various work-arounds) by:
"Merging of Apple IDs is something that we are unable to do. There are a series of Apple Discussion Boards stating this as other customers discuss not be able to merge their IDs also. If you click on Frequently asked questions at this link, it also states that we cannot merge IDs: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4895"

Please Help! Suddenly unable to open Mail, Address Book etc

This morning when I woke up my IBook my Mail was still open from yesterday. When I tried to open ICal it kept crashing. So I restarted and then suddenly ITunes, Mail, Address Book and ICal would not open at all!! (However, it seems that iPhoto, Appleworks, Safari etc is fine).
I do have a IPhone, but haven't synced in a week or so. Not sure that that would be relevant at all.
The other weird thing that has happened, is that all the info on the top right hand corner of my menu bar (my airport, date, weather snitch, spotlight etc) disappeared a few weeks ago. It has been blank there ever since. When I just did a check of those applications ( internet connect, weather snitch) they also didn't open now.
Thanks in advance for any advice at all...
BTW, I just ran verify disk, and it stopped with this error message:
" the underlying task reported failure on exit" - The volume needs to be repaired.
Really hoping that someone can help me with this!

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Tiger Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!

It is not clear how or where you "added" your email, but you cannot create an Apple ID using an email address that is already associated with another Apple ID.
If that is what you did, delete that email address from your family's Apple ID. You should be free to create a new one.
Do all that by starting here: https://appleid.apple.com/
Select "Manage your Apple ID". Log in with your family's Apple ID and then delete your own email address wherever it appears.
Save Changes, log out, and create the new one using the same website. This time select "Create an Apple ID".
Please don't forget your security questions, and be sure to specify a "rescue email address" that is separate from all other Apple IDs. You will avoid so many problems that way...
