Help, an app page has frozen on my IPad Air!

So this would be a bit confusing to understand. So I'm gonna explain everything clearly from the beginning.
I was reading a story on my IPad Air with the app, Wattpad. When I wanted to exit, I pressed the home button, but then something just happened with my IPad, and it seemed like it froze, which it did. I just let it be, hoping it would be OK a few hours later.
Eleven hours later, in the morning, I discovered that my IPad was working fine, all the buttons and stuff. It was just the page that was stuck, when I changed rotation, I could see a third of my IPad. It was locked as it would lock whenever you turn your IPad on and off, I managed to slide the screen to the part where you are supposed to enter your passcode, but the passcode part was covered by the stuck page. I managed to look at the notifications, when you slide down from the top, and when you slide up from the top. And, the camera option at the bottom right corner.
So its just the page stuck on top, although it covers just the three-fourth of the IPad.
So I really don't know what to do! Switching my IPad off isn't really an option since I can't with the page covering it from the top. So please help! I am really worried!

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

Do you mean in Safari ? If so try clearing its cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Pages has frozen

Pages has frozen and i don't want to shut the program down to find out my report hasn't been saved. Is there a way i can recover pages without deleting my work?

Yeah, i had saved it before but not since i had updated the document. I took the risk of shutting down the computer to make pages work again and it saved my work so it's fine now thank you

App store has frozen on my iPhone 4 - I can open it but can't get further - any advice appreciated!

I have the same or similar problem. Resetting the iPh 4 doesn't work.
App Store shows 94 apps to update via the red badge (I've been traveling away from that iPhone in another international carrier territory and use another iPhone, 4S this time).
When I touch the App Store icon, it launches and stays "loading" forever...
Other suggestions?

1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.

Pages has frozen on ipad. I cant use it. I cant delete app. Each time i try i have to reboot ipad. Numbers and keynote are same

I have not used pages, keynote, or numbers on iPad for a while. Used to work fine. Ipad works fine on all other apps. Now when i try to open pages i just get blank screen and it hangs. No documents displayed. No network activity indicated. Just hangs. Have rebooted several times. No change. Have tried to delete pages app (so i can reinstall) but that freezes ipad completely. I have to reboot (using power button and home button) to get access to ipad again. Numbers and keynote have gone the same.

Just to further clarify. In Settings the Restrictions are not limiting anything. They are not enabled. When I attenpt to delet any app they all start shaking (like normal with the little cross displayed) but when you select on for deletion the ipad freezes for several minutes then reboots. It is a 64G iPad with 25G free space. I have many apps on it and they all work fine. Just Pages, Keynote, and Numbers that have stopped working. When you start them they go to a grey (pre start up) screen with no buttons. Then after a few minutes the ipad reboots.
Note I'm on 6.1.3 not 6.1.4 !!!!!!!!!

Ah yes school boy error there out of frustration and discontent..
My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
Anyways I digress.
So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.
