Help directing btns embeded in mc in AS 2.0

Basically, there are three movie clips on the stage in Scene
1 that are acting as nav buttons. Each movie clip has a button
embedded in them. One of the movie clips named "CONTACT" works with
the getURL command. The second named "RESUME"(code attached to
button in movie clip listed below) isn't going to and playing the
frame label "resume_in" in Scene 1. However, I can create a button
in Scene 1 that is not embedded in a movie clip that works in
moving the playhead its instructed frame label. Can I not embed a
button in a movie clip that can execute the gotoAndPlay code
properly? Any help would be great and as you can tell I am a
designer, not a coder.

just wondering how to apply it across several frames. i've
placed the code on the first frame of each image section, but it
seems to only work for that one frame. perhaps i'm not placing the
code in the proper section.

Website images in New Tab page are gone (except for one). I followed the Help directions to restore them. Nothing happened. They are still gone.

All but one of the images on the 'new tab' page are gone. I followed the FFox Help directions exactly & repeatedly. Nothing happened. The images are still gone. Restarting the computer did not help either.

The thumbnails on the about:newtab page are generated from the cache, so if the page is not in the cache or otherwise can't or won't (secure pages) be rendered as a PNG image then you will get an empty box.
*Do not use Clear Recent History to clear data like the cache and the history when you close Firefox
If there is no history then you get an about:newtab page with empty boxes (no URLs).

Help, direct debit options changed without my cons...

help, Any ideas how to get through to some in BT security time in UK ? Recieved an email to say "Thanking me for setting up a direct debit and that you are taking £xxxx from my account in 8days !" As I already have a debit debit for many years with you have not authorised you to take this payment I'm a little alarmed" BT call centre have advised me that I have requested " Whole Bill Direct Debit", but I haven't. They then advised someone in my family has, but that is not possible as it's only me. I have asked if my account has been hacked but they just say I requested this change. My direct debit has been changed from a fixed payment to "Whole Bill Direct Debit". I am quite alarmed, the call centre do not understand or ignorning what I am saying. Has my account been hacked or is this an error on BT's part ?

It's very unlikely that anybody would bother to hack into your account just to change the way you pay your bills. They would have nothing to gain by doing so.
Much more likely, it's some misunderstanding. Have you changed anything about your account recently that may have prompted BT to change your billing? BT have a nasty habit of combining changes to one service with changing something else that's apparently unrelated.
If it's really necessary, you can always cancel the direct debit with your bank. But that will leave the bill unpaid, so that could just cause more problems than it solves. Better to contact BT, and be more insistant that they tell you who made the changes, when they did it and why.
I don't suppose it's any help to you, but many of us on this forum much prefer Whole Bill Direct Debit anyway. You just pay what you owe every month, rather than paying some arbitrary figure that BT plucked out of thin air.

Help required in embedding flash file object into Crystal Report file.

      I use the default version of Crystal Report (i.e.'Crystal Report Basic For Visual Studio 2008 - version 10.5' ) which is the part of 'Visual Studio 2008', to create and display the Report. Further, as a requirement, I have to show 'Event Video' into the Report. But, as this default version of Crystal Report does not support Flash File, I uninstalled it and downloaded and installed the 30 days trial version of the Crystal Report (i.e. Crystal Report 2008 - version 12.0).
      Then, I created a new Crystal Report File using 'Crystal Report 2008 Designer', embedded the video as a Flash File(i.e. SWF file) into it. Now, when I add this newly created Crystal Report File into my sample application, which is created using VS 2008, it does not shows the embedded video.
      So, can anybody please tell me, how can I embed the Flash File into Crystal Report, so that it will be visible in the sample application?
I would like to appreciate your help and support.

Dear all,
Any assistance with this problem would be massively appreciated. I'll try to keep this as simple as possible but as usual it's a long story.
We previously lived in rented property and used BT Infinity Option 2 with unlimited evening and weekend calls.
We have just purchased our first home and arranged to transfer the service with us. I was informed that there would be no fee to install a line as we had an existing contract. An appointment was made for an Openreach engineer to install infinity at the new address on October 10th, 8am - 1pm. Our service at the previous address was stopped from October 1st when we moved out/in.
Shortly before, I had an SMS message and a phonecall indicating a problem with the order. I rang and spoke to various people and it seemed that the problem was transferring the line from Sky (whom the previous owners had used). Eventually the gentleman at BT informed me that they would find a workaround and that everything should still be on for 10th October. I was also informed that we would not pay for broadband, line rental or calls for any downtime (i.e. 1st October to 10th if everything had stayed on track).
At 1.30 pm on 10th, I rang my partner (who had taken a day off work for the appointment). No engineer had visited. I logged onto 'My BT' and it said that a visit was no longer necessary as the line could be activated remotely. I considered that this could not be correct as from experience Infinity demanded a new faceplate and the fibre modem which we didn't have.
I then spent an hour on the phone trying to sort it out. The first staff member did not understand my point about the fibre installation. The second then informed me that there was a fault on the line and a new order was necessary (not reflected at all online). At this point I had completely pushed my lunch break to the limit and had to ask them to call my partner.
My first gripe is that after my partner took a valuable day off work nobody bothered to contact us to say that the visit was cancelled.
My partner informed me that a new appointment had been booked for 30th October. However, the order was to be expedited and we were due a phonecall on Friday 10th October to arrange a different and sooner appointment. The appointment for 30th now showed on 'My BT' under the orders section, replete with a £130 installation charge I was told we wouldn't have to pay.
Nobody called. We rang back on Saturday 13th and spent a long time on the phone to various departments, having to repeat security questions and tell our story over and over again. We eventually decided that we would simply like to cancel. The cancellation section then tried to scare me with cancellation charges and tranferred me to the orders department to try to speed things up and cancel.
At that point I was transferred to an orders section, somebody said 'hello' and then I was instantly on hold for 10 minutes (I hung up, slightly offended). I also spoke to a gentleman named Omar who completely failed to provide an explanation for the £130 charge but I left the call with the impression that he thought it was all my fault.
We decided that enough was enough now and we rang cancellations again. We actually spoke to a very helpful lady who informed us that cancellation would actually only cost circa £44 (much less than it would cost to stay!) and offered to waive the installation charge if we stayed. If all staff were as good as this person we may have considered it, but alas it was too little too late. The staff member cancelled our order and informed us we must wait 24 hours before the contract could be cancelled on the system so we would need to ring back.
On Monday 15th October, I managed to check my bank account (not easy without broadband) and found that my regular direct debit of £49 had gone out, but has been increased to £97.50! On My BT it states that £49 is adequate. Furthermore, my bill is in debit by approx £1.60 so what on earth can have happened to necessitate a nearly 100% increase? My first mortgage instalment is over two months' the usual payment and represents virtually my entire monthly wage so to lose £100 is actually quite financially devastating.
We have just finished cancelling our service. The staff were not able to adequately explain the direct debit or clarify when a refund will be paid and how much, and we have really lost the spirit to keep trying to resolve this through a call centre.
Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to effectively progress this as a complaint as the contact centre staff seem completely incapable of assisting with these problems. I consider that the following really needs to be accounted for:
1. I need it confirming that the cancellation charges will be as stated and not more.
2. I understand that cancellation fees are a pro-rata'd sum of the remaining months - we would have been without service for the entire month of October so I do not consider it fair that I should have to pay anything for October.
3. I wish to get an explanation and apology for the large sum of money which has been taken from my bank account. Of course I fully expect that cancellation charges can be off set against this but it really isn't acceptable that this has happened in the first place and then no explanation given.
4. Further to this, I need some money back! BT call centre staff were unable or unwilling to tell me when this will happen. I will shortly be paying overdraft fees and interest on this money; to be honest given all of the above I really feel BT should consider refunding me the entire £97.50 and waiving any cancellation fees, but realistically I know the chances of this happening are slim.

I am trying to write a query inside the C# code where I would insert values into a table in bulk using bind variables. But I also I would like to receive a bulk collection of generated sequence number IDs for the REQUEST_ID. It seems you are not doing a bulk insert but rather an array bind.
(Which you will also find that it is problematic to do an INSERT with a bulk collect returning clause (while this works just fine for update/deletes) :

But you are using array bind, so you simply just need to use a
... Returning REQUEST_ID INTO :REQUEST_IDand that'll return you a Rquest_ID[]

Opening help directly to a specific Topic/Header

Is there a way in any of the RoboHelp output options that
will allow me to open the help file directly to a specific Topic /
Header? If someone is on my website and is on the ordering page and
has a question, when they click on the Help button on that page,
can the help system open directly to the Topic on ordering?

Thanks a ton for all of the responses. I know now how to get
the right URL to jump to the topic.
I'm still sleuthing the other half of this, though. Once I
get the right URL, I can copy and paste it into the broswer address
bar and it will go to the correct topic. Now I need to be able to
email this link and have someone else open it to a specific topic.
(Sure I could tell em to copy and paste the link from the email
into the browser... now that's just too easy).
Putting it as a link in Outlook, though, is still giving me a
headache and it's only bringing up the start page when the broswer
window comes up. The #Topic22.htm section of my link gets chopped
off.
Must be something to do with the email settings, because
Outlook is checking mail attachments, and it's telling me:
You should only open attachments from a trustworthy source.
Attachment: StartPage.htm from X:\Stuff Folder\Help Project
Would you like to open the file or save it blabbity blah...
This is how our area is set up for security, and it appears
that Outlook's only seeing the stuff
before the # sign.

I followed your help directions on "Corrupt extension files" under "Unable to install add-ons", foolishly deleting the files you told me to. Now firefox won't open. I tried reinstalling firefox but it still won't open. Now what do I do?

I was trying to install the SEOQuake add on. After clicking install Firefox would hang up saying the script had timed out and asking if I want to stop it or continue. Didn't matter which option I chose nothing would happen. The only way to stop it was to close Firefox and restart. Tried restarting the computer. Still wouldn't install. Tried installing the Outwit add on and got the same error leading me to conclude it was a problem with Firefox, not the add on. I found this help page <http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Unable+to+install+add-ons?s=addons+won't+install&as=s> and did everything it told me to. Finally at the end I got to "Corrupt extension files". I foolishly deleted the files you told me to and now Firefox won't even start! I tried reinstalling Firefox and it still won't start. Tried restarting the computer. I have no idea how to get back to where I was let alone install the add ons I wanted to install. Please help. At this point I'd just be happy to be able to get Firefox working.

You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.<br />

After following all help directions still getting synch error

Email, account & syncing not recognized.
Any time I want to sync it encounters an error. I follow instructions on how to delete files, change password but when entering the right info it gives me the error again.
I've been researching and fixing this issue for a couple of months now but not luck :(
I'm thinking that I'm doing all this from a computer that is not the one I open up the account with. Although I do have the original key, still doesn't recognizes it.
As a matter of fact I do not even have the option to Pair a Device in Tools>Options>Sync or enter the Key
When asked to reset the password, I properly follow the instructions but the user id &/or password are not recognized.
This is very frustrating and I've spent too much time. If I didn't have so many bookmarks that I use regularly, I would delete this account and start from scratch.

I haven't used Firefox's sync feature, so I won't claim this is the best solution, but if you are only worried about your Firefox bookmarks, maybe you could export them (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer), reinstall Firefox, set up sync, and import your bookmarks?

Help finding an embedded Flashlite developer

I am in a quandry trying to find a Flash/Actionscript
developer for a client of mine. They are using embedding Flashlite
in remotes that run smart homes. The position is in Utah and is
full time. Can you give me some ideas of where to look or who to

I've been able to easily embed a video into an Acrobat 8.22 doc, but I need to get it to loop.

You cannot embed the looping behavior into a movie from within QT.
Was hoping someone who had done this before would have the magic answer :-)

You need to sign up for google maps API here : http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html, get your API key. You need this otherwise it will not work. Thendownload the SDK, from here:http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/flash/ its on the right, on step 2, "SDK"

well I can't be sure not knowing the rest of the document's
structure, but it looks like you have some scope problems here.
1) remove the 'this' keyword from onSoundComplete, if the
'sound_obj' is local to the frame it shouldn't be needed.
2) I noticed you have a '_global' reference to the 'song_nr'
var, yet you are not using the _global within the the conditional
expressions.
3) just wondering if the arrays 'songfile' and 'songname' are
within the same scope as this frame, they would need to be, or have
a reference to their locations.
