HELP! FLASH CS6 "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory"

Hey guys, really need your help on this one. I can't seem to export my flash animation video. It kept failing and prompting that "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory"
Anyone knows a solution to this. It will be very much appreciated.
Thank you very much.

Hi,
It totally depends on what's the content you are trying to export. The reason is as simple as it says. The content might be really huge that it ran out of memory. Any info you can provide on the kind of stuff you have in the file?

  • Flash CS6, QuickTime: The export operation failed because it ran out of memory.

Exporting a QuickTime movie file seems to be an old issue with previous versions too. In CS6 I always get the error message: "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory." I've got tons of memory and have allocated increasing amounts to the cache with no success.
My small and fairly simple file was created with Flash CS5 which seemed to work fine at the time of creation. I've tried everything recommended online but with no luck so far. BTW, I reinstalled CS5 and tried that too but it just hangs now, and there's no error message.
    Does anyone have a solution?
    (OS X 10.7.4)

If I may join this discussion...  I loaded up CS6 two days ago and have just completed my first 60 second animation using it.  Like everybody else here, it all went fine until I tried to export it to QuickTime – something that has never been problematic before.
I ended up exporting it as a swf and opening that in CS4.  Then I could export it, but the resulting QuickTime movie was over 500 MB in size!  Okay, so then I opened it in QuickTime Pro and exported it from there.  This brought the file size down to a far more reasonable 35 MB, but now the soundtrack has gone!  So now I am having to replace the sound in Final Cut Pro.
This is a real palaver – and not conducive to heaping praise on CS6 when questioned.  I note that there is talk of Adobe rectifying this "bug", but it would be really good to hear from somebody at Adobe with:
    a) An apology
    b) An estimated time of delivery
    c) A best practice work round
But I'm guessing that anybody that works at Adobe will be the last person to read this...

  • "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory"

I'm trying to export from Flash CS5 to an mov.
Project is in custom size (874  x 480) but when saved to SWF it's not really
that big (15mb). So I'm a little confused.
    Anyone encountered this error message?
This is quite new to me.
I've got 2 HD on my mac with each having at least 2Tb available each,
    so don't think its that.
Memory is 8GB and I got nothing running except the Flash CS5.
Need some help my friends. Client

Not sure if your problem has been solved. Flash is flat broken on this. I am using CS6, same problem, same headache. Adobe should be ashamed for not fixing this issue. Someone even suggest to use third party screen capture tool like Camtasia? Why don't you just remove the Export from your Flash menu all together if anything beyong 30 seconds of video export would fail?
In the meantime, Try download Swivel from cnet. The app will happily convert your SWF to anyformat you like. Both Mac and Windows version are available. This was one of the best life saver I ever downloaded from cnet.

  • The export operation failed to create an image file

I've been experiencing bizarre behavior when attempting to export images to my Usb-connected card reader. After reading some threads on this form, I was convinced that my reader was defective. Same problem on a brand-new reader.
The specific behavior was as follows: I attempted to export roughly 150 custom-named 500 KB image files to the memory card. The last 15 or so failed to transfer and I got the message, "the export operation failed to create an image file for the versions identified below."
Trashing VP list didn't help. What did was changing the custom name. There was nothing particularly unusual about the original custom name and the new one was virtually identical. After changing the name, the export worked without a hitch.
Has anyone experienced similar behavior? Any ideas what's going on?

problem was that the NEW card reader was faulty as well. My luck!

  • The NLS operation failed because the registry key Control Panel\International\User Profile cannot be opened. Error code is 2. Error message: The system cannot find the file specified.

    H,
Since upgrading Windows server 2008 R2 to Server 2012 Standard edition, we get this repetitious critical error in the event log:
    Event 1001
    Op Code NLS initialization
The NLS operation failed because the registry key Control Panel\International\User Profile cannot be opened. Error code is 2. Error message: The system cannot find the file specified.
We originally found that the regional date settings after changing them in regional settings (DD/MM/YYYY) and they did not inherit properly from the upgrade but they are ok now.
I've looked at HKCU\.Default\Control Panel\International and nothing looks obviously wrong. Country codes, time & date formats are correct.
How do we ascertain the  cause of this error and the specific registry key that might be problematic?

    Hi,
This could be caused by firewall rules or security softwares.

And in addition, the fix is worth a try.

  • The operation failed because of a protection agent failure. (ID 998 Details: The system cannot find the path specified (0x80070003))

    Hello,
We are getting the following error when trying to backup our fileserver (DPM 2012 R2) to tape.
"The operation failed because of a protection agent failure. (ID 998 Details: The system cannot find the path specified (0x80070003))"
    What is interesting:
    - The "Short-Term Protection" to disk runs successfully without error
    - The "Long-Term Protection" to tape fails after writing ~2TB of data to a TL2000 tape loader. (Always appears to fail towards end of job with the above error)
    - In the past (until roughly a month ago) the tape portion of this job was completing successfully.
The DPM logs fail to give much information around the time of error regarding any failures. Likewise windows event logs give no hint of a problem when the job fails.
Looking for any ideas that may help resolve this.
    Cheers!

  • The operation failed because of a protection agent failure. (ID 998 Details: The semaphore timeout period has expired (0x80070079))

Recently we got this error, while backup to tape, and no idea what is it.

    Hi,
Try this workaround, increase the TcpMaxDataRetransmissions to 10 or more.
How to modify the TCP/IP maximum retransmission timeout
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/170359
Diagnostic steps when "Semaphore timeout" is hit during network transfer:
    1. Check if the protected server (sender) or DPM (receiver) was under stress or inaccessible during the time of failure – from event logs from both the machines. Retry should work if the packet loss was because of either of the servers being inaccessible
or under stress for a period.
    2. Check if the network between the PS and the DPM is flaky – retransmit count from ‘netstat –s’ or perfmon counters can give an idea.
    3. Else contact network support engineer to diagnose the packet loss issue – netmon captures from both machines, packet route and network layout/devices will be required to start the investigation.
    4. Take some performance monitor logs on both DPM and Proteted server side.
Some good and basic perfmon counters to take to see if the servers are under stress are below.

  • Newsfeed error - The operation failed because the server could not access the distributed cache.

Recently installed SharePoint 2013 RTM, on the newsfeed page an error is displayed, and no entries display in the following or everyone tabs.
"The operation failed because the server could not access the distributed cache."
Reading through various posts, I've checked:
    - Activity feeds and mentions tabs are working as expected.
    - User Profile Service is operational and syncing as expected
    - Search is operational and indexing as expected
    - The farm was installed based on the autospinstaller scripts.
    - Don't believe this to be a permissions issue, during testing added accounts to the admin group to verify
    Any suggestions are welcomed, thanks.
The full error message and trace logs is as follows.

  • The photoshop library operation failed because quicktime is not installed on this computer

I'm getting this when importing a Photoshop Timeline Animation into After Effects.
"The photoshop library operation failed because quicktime is not installed on this computer"
I have all updates to date.
    Any clues?

After Effects CC (12.x) does not import animation/video layers in PSD files. You should render and export your animation from Photoshop as a movie file and import that into After Effects.

    Hi quodd,,
We are sorry for the issue being faced by you. I need some information from you so that I take further steps:
    1. Which Adobe product are you using Acrobat or Adobe reader- what is the complete version?
    2. How are you opening and saving the PDF, the exact workflow?
Are you doing it from within Adobe Reader/Acrobat application or opening it from browser, doing changes and saving it using browser itself.
    3. Can you try to save a PDF to library with Custom template and managed metadata columns using browser directly.
    4. Please verify that columns name do not contain spaces or some other special characters.
Can you try to save PDF to library with Custom template and just a single managed metadata column  with a simple name

  • The operation failed because of a protection agent failure. (ID 998 Details: No more data is on the tape (0x80070450))

For the past couple of days I have been getting the following alert on my tape backups:
    Cannot verify tape data.
The operation failed because of a protection agent failure. (ID 998 Details: No more data is on the tape (0x80070450))
It has completed the backup but I get this error when performing a verify or when I try and restore.
This error only occurs on the same server we backup in the protection group. The other 5 servers backup fine.
We are using DPM 2010 (3.0.8195.0)

    Same here.
When I came back from vacation I found the same error in our DPM 2012.
The operation failed because of a protection agent failure. (ID 998 Details: No more data is on the tape (0x80070450))
I cannot find anything in the eventlog saying that the tapelibrary has been offline.
    How can I check that?
Last nights tape-job went "almost" well, one server (VM) still has this error. (But I dont know if that depends on the fact that it had status "Missing" in hyper-v manager due to a Win-update shutdown on a host that had a  misconfiguration (auto-reebot).)
I rebooted the DPM-server this morning and then I tried to manually run all tapejobs again but they get this status again.
I do not understand this error and why it suddenly appears to work again for a scheduled job but not when I trigger the job manually.
Is there not a solution for this?

    Ciao

    Hi,
If I had to guess, I'd say you were looking at a memory corruption problem. The error basically says that when Tuxedo tried to perform a msgrcv() operation on a System V IPC queue, the address of the buffer to receive the message wasn't valid. Although if this is really a memory corruption problem, I'm surprised your server continues to function. You might want to try a memory checking tool to see if your code is writing to memory it doesn't have allocated or writing past the ends of an allocated buffer.

  • I have OSX 10.7.5, my idvd is not working correctly.  Should I re-download this version again , do you think that it will help to improve the idvd operation?

I have OSX 10.7.5 on my imac, my idvd is not working correctly.  Should I re-download this version again , do you think that it will help to improve the idvd operation?

First, iDVD is not and never has been part of OS X. If iDVD is not working correctly, then you should investigate possible problems with that application, support files, preferences, or cache.
Of course you can always reinstall OS X if you wish:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

    - Booted with on board graphics
    - unplugged all usb devices and external devices with the exception of the keyboard and mouse
    - Booted with system installation disc and attempted system repair several times only with the same outcome of wanting to restore from a previous system restoration point however it always fails
    - changed the boot type to IDE which made the system boot furhter past the logo screen however it still crashes with the same error
    - From the system installation disc I ran a chkdsk /f and no corruptions or bad sectors were found
However, I did run from the installation disc a "bcdedit" and my osdevice was  unkown and my boot manager and boot loader were set to two different drives on being D: and the other being C:. So I re-linked all three back to the D: drive as the
windows installation disc says thats where Windows 7 is installed, although in the actual windows 7 My Computer its listed as C: drive which is weird? anyways after re-linking them using bcdedit /set {default} osdevice partition=D: and the other two commands
my recovery partition disappeared  which was listed as C:, and now I can only see my local drive? That did not fix the error so I tried one last thing and ran another chkdsk D: /f /r which is taking for ages and I'm assuming my hard drive and its contents
are still intact ( thank god!!) because its taking so long and there are 612080 files to be processed!
I thought I might try and rebuild Master Boot Record?
I don't want to loose any of my data, well I hope I haven't lost any because I have over 150+ games and their saves :(
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated :D
    thanks guys!

    Hi,
Repair the current OS using the Windows 2008 / 7 DVD:
    Boot to the Windows DVD
Select Next > Repair your computer
    Select Next > Command Prompt
    Change directory (cd) to x:\Sources\recovery
then type Startrep.exe to launch a quick automated startup repair utility which corrects boot environment values. This step may require more than one attempt and should be repeated a couple of times if the first repair fails.
If step 3 fails, open the command prompt and type bcdedit This
will display the values for Windows Boot Manager.
Review the values for Device. Is it set to unknown, as shown below? If so, proceed to step 7.
At the command prompt, type the following commands (c: is the default system partition. If your original partition was another drive letter, this value can be set to that drive letter):
    bcdedit
    /set {DEFAULT.EN_US} device partition=c:
    (press enter)
    bcdedit
    /set {DEFAULT.EN_US} osdevice partition=c:
    (press enter)
    bcdedit
    /set {BOOTMGR.EN_US} device partition=c:
    (press enter)
Reboot the system after removing the OS disk.
    Hope it helps,
    Jan
