HELP HELP HELP! Hidden midi track or something!
Hey okay, so here's my STUPID dilemma. I'm so stuck.
Im in the process of working on Putting all 6 of my songs into one big project file, this way all the settings, tracks, eq's everything are perfectly the same from song to song so my mastering process can be more universal.
ANYWAY.
Upon dragging and dropping one of the songs into my main project. (from one open project to another open project)
Apparently the drum track (which is one midi track) from the third song... is now like EMBEDDED, hidden about midway through song 2.
So when I'm playing the whole thing, it goes nicely through song 1, nicely through about half of song2... then the drum track from song 3 pops in randomly ONTOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE.
the thing is... theres NO SIGN OF IT ANYWHERE. I cannot find the track. Its not on a hidden track. Its just like secretly embedded into the project. I've even DELETED the midi thats SUPPOSED to be playing at that time. And it still just playyyyyyyyyys and plays this stupid track.
Does anyone possibly have any ideas?
I cant find it in the bin, because it doesnt store MIDI tracks there. is there a bin for all the midi info? That could work if it appears.
Otherwise is there a secret way to like, Show any hidden info or anything?

It might be worth taking a look at the Mixer layer in the Environment to see if you can track down which Instrument Channel is playing?<edit> Could be an Ultrabeat with the Sequencer on?

No output from recorded audio tracks, only midi tracks..please help
I've been working on a song in Garageband and suddenly lost audio from real instruments and can only hear the midi from last night until today. It consists of 3 midi tracks and 9 audio tracks. I have software plugins or FX on almost all 9 tracks with amplitube or similar. Things are slow as the arrow is red at the top, however last night I was able to still make changes - slowly. I was able to do a mixdown and export to mp3. Then I shut the computer down. Today I open up Garageband and can only hear the midi tracks of my song however other songs I have work totally fine. Nothing is muted and I've checked everything. Levels meters are moving on all the tracks, I can just feintly hear one guitar track. This is frustrating. I even tried locking half of the tracks and still nothing. I've rebooted etc and same
I'm running Lion with a TC Konnekt 8 sound module, on a 2.4 core duo 2 MBP with 4 GB of ramI ran onyx and did a clean up etc then rebooted, loaded GB and same problems. I turned on the ducking thing, everything looked ok and then once I hit play everything worked again. I've turned off ducking and it still works. Could this be a glitch as I've never enabled it before

Urgent!! need help to bounce all the tracks individually with same length.
i have a logic project with 20 (audio/Midi) tracks
and i want to bounce all the tracks individually...
one way i find is to solo every track and bounce the master everytime...
and other way i found was something called export all audio tracks but when i try that all tracks have different length.
i want all the tracks to be of same length and same size..
can anybody help me with that asap....

File>Export>Export All tracks as Audio Files
This will export all tracks from bar 1, beat 1.
I too, am curious why the OP needs his tracks to be the same length. Using the Export feature insures all tracks start from the very beginning (i.e., the same starting point), which is what you want and need when moving the tracks to another DAW.
The length of the track is of no consequence in this example. It plays through the song, until that track is over, like a guitar solo that appears in the middle of a song, but doesn't play past that point.
Unless I'm missing something? -
Deperately need help setting up external midi devices

Theres not really much to setup. Assuming your synths are connected to the MIDI Express already..
In Logic, make a new MIDI track. On the left hand side in the track inspector, among the parameters you'll see an option for MIDI Port and Channel. Just pick which port the track is going to, set the channel and device id and play (And be glad you never had to deal with setting up the old Environment window in Logic 5 and below).
If you really wanna get into it and have all your MIDI ports named after the synth thats connected to it, open up Audio Midi Setup, create a device icon for each synth you have and draw the cables from each device to whatever port its connected to on the midi interface's icon.
Then in Logic everytime you pick your MIDI port on your track, instead of MIDI Port 1, MIDI Port 2, etc.,
it would be labelled XV-3080, Motif Rack, and so on.. I dont think theres anyway to do this within Logic itself (you can change the labels on your audio ins and outs, but not MIDI as far as I can recall)..
If youre talking about having access to patch names and whatnot like Digital Performer and Cubase let you do, Logic doesnt use the xml patch lists everyone else does. The above steps are pretty much all there is to be done as far as MIDI.

Now when I select MIDI Port 1 in Logic its named MWXT, port 2 is SR-16, etc.. -
Hi, I hope you can help. I'm sure this is something really basic that I should be able to fix myself, but.................
I was working on a photo calendar on my macbook off the battery and the battery suddenly ran out. So it wasn't shut down properly. Now when I open i photo the coloured wheel just keeps spinning and I can't get into it. Everything else on the computer seems to work. I've done forced quit and restarted it a few times and also left it running.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

If you are talking about the iPhone SDK to make an App which appears in the iTunes store, you can download Xcode in the Mac App Store or at http://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action

I accidentally "hid" the section on the bottom of the screen when using text which allows me to change font size, type, etc.
Dont know how to "restore" it.

Press command+shift+ 3 to take a shot of the whole desktop, or command+shift+4 and then drag over the part of it you want. MACBOOK WON'T START HELP HELP OMG HELP!!/1/1kghl
SO! I recently bought a white MacBook and an iPod Nano (gen1 because I wanted them to match). Since then I have had to send in the first iPod, get a second one, and have the exact same problem--neither the MacBook nor the iPod seem to realise at all when they are plugged in. No charging, no syncing with iTunes. Nothing.
So the customer service bloke told me that I should update OS X. Alright, I toddle on off to Barnes and Noble to take advantage of the Wifi, as I live in the middle of no where and am still on dial-up. Update, update, restart time. I'm supposed to hold down the power button while it restarts.
Familiar with having to hold down keys while things happen, as I've used Windows all my life, I do. Except, apparently my button-pressing skills are TOO well-honed, because it begins loading and then turns off! Oh no! I may have held that button down a bit too long...
Easily solved, right? Just boot it up again.
Except it won't turn on! Well the little flashy LED light goes all flashy, and the thing sort of growls at me like it's in pain. The screen stays black, nothing else happens. I hold down a lot of buttons and still nothing happens. I've been trying turning it on while holding down different buttons, but still nothing. Honestly, I don't handle panic very well.
So, basically. I am totally freaking out. HELP HELP HELP PLEASE HELP.

First off, please don't crosspost your question unless instructed to, as it only wastes bandwidth and makes it harder to track who is asking what question.
Second, sleep it off a night, with your machine unplugged and no battery inserted to get rid of your franticness. It never really pays to be frantic in front of a computer because you don't know what you are doing, and you could be your own worst enemy.
When you are ready, depress the power button only for 2 seconds and let go.
If that doesn't work reset the power manager:

When I try to install Itunes, I get this error: (translated from Norwegian) There was a network error while trying to read from the file: C: \ windows \ installer \ iTunes.msi I have tried many times to reinstall, but nothing helps, please help me.
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

I remember i have used a SAP Help wich shows a window when we can write a word and it shows the documentation help for that word.
This is like help window showed when we press F1 in some code line in ABAP program for search help for some ABAP command.
But i use that Help called from F1 in ABAP code line i do not find where can i write other Word for search help for that Word.
Then, i tried using the transaction ABAPHELP but in my system we do not have access to this Tcode.
Does somebody knows how can i go to SAP Help where i can write a Word for search Help for it ?

As mentioned above, you are most likely talking about this litte blue "i" icon in SE38 or SE80. It allows to enter abap keyword, glossary, index and lots of others. Just use this one for searching any SAP documentation. There is also online manual available there.
You can also use below transactions and if not authorized run their respective programs.
ABAPDOCU - program -> SAPMSABAPDEMOS_TREE
ABAPHELP - program -> SAP_HELP_ABAP
The second you mentioned you are not authorized to call, simply use the program instead.

The internet is overflowing with tutorials on PSE. Just google what you want and include Photoshop Elements 4 as part of your search term, or go to the library and they may have several different books on PSE 4. For PSE 4, you won't find a mac specific book, but that doesn't matter because the editor is the same on either program. Just substitute Command for Ctrl and Option for Alt in the keystrokes, and ignore anything about the organizer.

I have the Apple docs on "providing assistance ..." and the specs on HTML 4.01 & XHTML 1.0. Since I am writing software just for myself, I don't want to spend megabucks on Dreamweaver or GoLive in order to write help files. Is there a poor man's route to writing these files? I don't need anything fancy - just plain text will do for most of it.
I believe I saw somewhere that IB could help but I can't find anything there. I am using Xcode 2.4.1.

PeteYou can use any text editor, just save the file as .html instead of .txt
To get an idea of how to write help content you can look at the help books of existing applications. To see one, go to:
Library > Documentation > Help
Right-click on one of those and choose "show package contents" to see whats inside.
You can also check out the help content in application (lets say ichat) by right clicking on the app and choosing show package contents, then go to:
Contents > Resources > English.lproj > iChatHelp
You can copy these files and modify them as you need.
