Help - I have a new iPad 2 which I am trying to set up?

Help - I have a new iPad 2 which I am trying to set up. Connected fine to my existing iTunes account and upgraded to latest software update. Then it started saying that I had to restore it, so I tried, but it just keeps going through the motions of restoring and then telling me again that it needs to restore. What am I doing wrong?

Try making up a date. something relatively recent. See if that allows you to go forward

To use itunes 10.7 you need to have Snow Leopard operating system installed

If you have iTunes 11 on a Windows system, press Control-B to show the menus.

TS3989 I have iphone and ipad and windows 7. trying to set OPTIONS on icloud photostream on my windows 7 screeen. Nothing happens when i hit the photostream options button.

Cannot open OPTIONS for photostream.

Is the stream actually working at the min? Are you just wanting to change the settings?
If it isn't working, you could try the following things:
Can you log out of the control panel? If so try logging out, restart the pc then log back in again.
If that doesnt help, uninstall icloud from the pc, restart, then reinstall.
If you still have no joy and really want the photostream to work you need to check your permissions. If you right click on the icloud icon in your start up menu you can open the file location. There you will find about 8 apple files such as 'applephotostreams'. right click on each and go to security, make sure you have full control of each file. I am not sure how much this has to do with it but I have seen other people suggest it on other threads.
If that still doesn't help you could try making a new user acount on your pc and setting up icloud on there. This worked for me (no idea why!). I just started using a new user account and left my old one for the kids to use but if you have all your stuff on your original one you could set the photo stream to download to a public file so you can view it from any user account. Or move the pics to a public file fter the have downloaded into the file icloud automatically makes for you.

Try restore from iPhone first. If you don't like the restore, you can setup your iPad to Factory Default.
Restore to Factory Default (setup as new):
Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

iCloud cannot help you - it's not a storage device, but primarily a syncing and backup service. You have to decide which videos to put on your ipad as you cannot add more memory to it.

Despite the three bars you may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

Depends on how you want to use it. Flash storage on the newer macbook and macbook air are built in. A macbook air is the most light weight and a very good machine. It will do all you want it to do unless you are running some very intensive programs. If you go to the apple store on line you can compare the different macbook pro" and macbook Air's.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

The banner usually indicates that the memo is "Paused." If you go back into voice memos, touch the word "Done" beside the big red pause button, give it a name, then it will show in a list. Touch the memo in the list then touch the trash can icon that should appear.
