Help! I'm having trouble with images on my web page.

I'm trying to create a page with a bunch of my photos but I need the photos broken up into groups so I can discuss the different groups. So I simply cut and paste the photo area several times BUT now when I click on any picture in any group it only does a slideshow for the last group of photos.
I guess I could simply break the single page into multiple pages but that is so inconvenient in iWeb since it doesn't let you cut and paste template pages! Apple needs to seriously fix this shortcoming. How can you not allow cutting and pasting of pages??

You probably realise by now that you're attempting to do things with iWeb which it just wasn't intended to do. Cutting and pasting the photo grid area just won't work as you want it to. To work within iWeb's limitations might i suggest that you use the 'nesting' approach described in several posts here already. Use a single representative image on your main page for each of the situations you want to cover, and link each of these to an appropriate Photo page which has 'Include page in navigation menu' unchecked.
You could add a link on each of the Photo pages which returns to your main descriptive page.

Having trouble with image processor...help please!

HI there...First off I just bought a new iMac and haven't a clue what I'm doing so my problem could be related to that. While I'm waiting for Adobe to transfer over my platform I downloaded the trial of CS5 Extended to get me started. I'm having trouble with the image processor...I choose file/scripts/image processor...the dialog box comes up and I choose use open files and then try and choose the folder I want to save them in. I choose my folder and hit run and it keeps telling me specify folder destination. I can't for the life of me figure this out...what am I doing wrong? It always worked fine for me on my PC and CS3. I can't handle saving each image individually in the new folder...

I haven't renamed anything as far as I know. I made a new folder when I hit Folder option and it's highlighted as well as the path shows up in the processor box. Just when I choose run it tells me to specify a folder. The only thing I can think of is that maybe something messed up b/c I'm copied the files and folders over from my PC but it let me save as on the mac. Also the folder I'm choosing to put them in is on the Mac harddrive. IDK...

Having trouble with images looking blurry

Please Help!
   When I save two images in photoshop (save for web, maximum jpg) they both look great on my macbook pro. However, when I upload them to my godaddy ftp, and view on my IPAD, one looks fine and the other looks blurry. They are both the exact same width, how can one look sharp and normal....and the other one look blurry???
NOTE: After ive uploaded to the ftp, when i view on my macbook pro, they are both fine, but when i view on my IPAD, one is fine and the other is blury.

I am not seeing anything blurry with the first link. My guess is the height is different and your ipad is scaling it. But if your css is set to pixels it shouldn't.

Having trouble with image size on new HP2311x display with 4 year old MacBook. Image too small. Do I have to stay in mirror mode? I have messed with OSD and Image Control menus on display and have gotten nowhere. Help?

Having trouble with Imaging with an Answer File

I would like to create an image for Multiple machines; however, I am not sure if I should install the drivers for all machines on one machine and then use the Microsoft-Windows-Pnp Sysprep_Neutral switch in my answer file to keep all drivers that are already
installed on the system and not clean up drivers for devices not present.
Can someone assist me with figuring this out?
Also, trying to get device drivers from other computer to move them to one central computer without having to install one by one. Was going to try moving the .sys and .inf from the drivers folders from the multiple systems and hope that window 7 can give
each system what it needs.

If you have already captured your image as a wim, you can use DISM (which is part of the WAIK) to inject the drivers into the wim. Here is a link that should walk you through the process. (FYI, run it as an administrator)

The command is: Dism /image:[WIM FILE PATH] /Add-Driver /driver:[DRIVER STORE] /recurse
Recurse should scan all the folders in inject all the drivers it finds, sometimes you have to add /ForceUnsigned to some drivers, but those are few and far between. You should check the DISM log in %windir%\logs\dism.log for any errors you encounter
and just look for the timestamp as it's your best bet to finding the errors. I used to support 20+ models of printers and 11 or 12 different models of Dell PCs and laptops, and regularly injected about 1000 drivers for all of them.
Needless to say, driver injection is VERY useful!

Having trouble with images in old Aperture Library?

I have and old Aperture Library that I updated. I opened a project in that library and tried to export some photos to my desk top. I got an error message that was a error with about 10 images. I went back to that same project and now those images are blank with the upside down question mark? That says “Unsupported Image Format” Any help would be much appreciated!!

I don't undersand that with iphoto? The images are so old I forgot if they were originally iphotos or aperture files.
I saw the "iPhoto Original" keyword attached to one of the images in question. This keyword usually is set for an original master image, when you import from iPhoto.
I cannot find anything special about these imiages??? I noticed that there is no file size for the corrupted files.
If the image format is not supported, then probably Aperture cannot read the file size.
Not sure if the images are managed or referenced?
If these were imported from iPhoto, then they might have been imported as referenced, if you set the "Store Files" selector to "In their current location" on import. That would mean, that the original masters are still in your iPhoto Library, and if you edit them using iPhoto this may break the references to your masters in Aperture.
I think I just located the original imaiges in an old hard drive!
That is good, at least you still have a backup; but did you see the imported, unsupported images in the masters folder of your Aperture Library? It would really help to know the exact condition of the images that are problematic. Or are they not in the library? That would mean they are referenced, but then the exclamation-mark tag in the Browser is confusing - I then would expect an icon with a broken arrow.
It did not happen until I tried to export them though? What can I do to prevent this from happening futher?
Then Aperture probably did not notice that something was amiss with the images, until it needed to access the master image files for export and noticed that those could not be read. As long as you do not try to export or to edit the images, the Previews are sufficient, but on export the master has to be processed.
The master image files of the other images in the project may be problematic as well - make sure you have a working backup, before you try anything at all with other images in that project.

Having trouble with Image Capture

I used to be able to scan multiple photos at the same time and have it detect separate items. Now, ever since upgrading to Lion, it retains the image outline as dotted lines when I add new photos. It then scans the new images and also the areas where the old images were. How can I get this to stop?

The TWAIN driver is the scanner driver. Combined with Apple's Ricoh download, it should work. Otherwise you need to contact Ricoh and ask why it isn't.

I purchased a template and are having trouble with images in preview

When I edit .gif or .jpg they view correctly in Dreamweaver but when I preview the page in I.E. it can't find the images. If I open the page in Firefox it works fine. I'm new to Dreamweaver but I've worked with FrontPage and Expressions. I'm puzzled.

Did you define your local site folder in DW before you started this project? Without this critical 1st step, DW cannot properly manage site assets for you.
Go to Site > Manage Sites or New site. Tell DW where your site files are located on your hard drive.
Under Advanced Settings > Local Info, set your Default Images folder and use Links relative to document.
Hit Save.

Having Trouble With Image Preloads

Can somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

do... kinda.
Hold your mouse over one of them, and you'll see the
appropriate rollover behavior... eventually.
Yes, I did check the "preload images" box for them all (only
the buttons and scroll jpg).
Funny thing is that if you click on one of the links, and
then click the back button, the rollovers on the home page then
work fine.

Help, I'm having trouble with installing my new Creative Zen MicroPhoto..can someone help

Okay, I bought my MicroPhoto about a week ago and now I've been making atempts to install it so I can listen to some music. YAY. Well, When I placed the installation CD in that I was told to put in first, my computer wouldn't read it. So, I tried downloading the stuff (aka: the programs that's needed to run with a Windows XP with Service Pack 2) but I got this instead: "Your Player is not Connected, please connect your player." (this is for the firm) Okay, My player, the MicroPhoto, is already connected to my computer and the computer knows its there. When I tried to install the other programs that could be download with Windows XP, I got messages referring that the Windows 2 Service pack was involed with it. My question is...how can I get my MircoPhoto to work on this computer?

I would advise to still double check all your WEB router settings and to make sure it's putting out maximum output and device/signal separation.
Also, try go into all your browser apps on your iPhone (safari/chrome etc.) and clear all cache/cookie/passwords/history
I have iPhone 4S 6.0.1 and never had wifi issues, but I also had just switched ISP's, and went through all of the above. So not sure if I solved the issue before it even came up. I seem to be getting pretty good speeds and very steady connection.

Having trouble displaying images on my results page

I have tried placing the following code (<img src="*<?php echo $row_rsppleresults['picture_upload']; ?>*>) BOLDED AREA (see code below very last entry) in hopes that it would display the image. However, what happens after I place the code in that location is that I get an invalid code error that there is something wrong with the Italic BOLDED area (see below very last entry). In addition, to that it changes the html formatting on my page when I try to view the page and no image shows up. As of right now when someone fills out the input form the photo automatically get uploaded into the following directory-/public_html/rescuealerts/fomdata/uploads_missing_person_form. I am clueless how to connect the correct image with the correct input information in the search display table. Below you will find the following- my code for the results page and my dynamic table. First off, you should style the table, rows and cells by using CSS. Also, there is no need for a div within the cell because, again, you can use CSS to do the styling for you. Not only that, depending on the DOCTYPE that has been used, tou will get an invalid markup when using align=left.
Depending on what is included in the picture_upload field (just the name and extension or the complete path and file name) your markup should look like

Having trouble with Installing itunes on web site

Can someone help with this issue. I have tried installing itunes thru

I download the program via the 'run' option and it begins to load in the temp file location. It starts to transfer until 77% (always) and then doesn't continue although the function is running. After 20 minutes the message pops up that the process time out. There is no error message. Does anyone know what would cause this?

I had the same problem, and whether you run or save when downloading it would stop at 76%. After 2 days of defragging, updating virus software, checking my registry and everything else I can think of I finally called support. Go to www.filehippo.com and download itunes from there.

I am having trouble with the spell checker in pages.

I have checked "check spelling while typing" and set the language to British English. However, the language keeps changing back to none and the spell checker still isn't working! Any ideas? I am using a MacBook Air with the latest software. I have checked for updates but there aren't any. Thank you in advance for your help!

Menu > Apple > System Preferences > Language & Text > Language > Edit List > check British English > OK > drag British English to the top of the list
It is now your default language.
The Language in Pages is only for selected text and is applied like a color or font to the text.
If you paste or drag in text from elsewhere like the Internet, you are dragging in text which has no, or wrong language applied. Either Paste & Match Style or select the unassigned text and apply your language to it.

PSE9 - having trouble with "html email sender verification" page

We have just purchased the PSE9. This is our first venture into a photoshop program. We are wanting to send some of our pictures to friends via email. Just after we push the "share" button, to create an attachment for the email, we get this page "html email sender verification." It contains in the first blank, our email address (given), a button "resend email", and a blank entitled " Sender verification." Below this box are the words:
"If this email address is not correct, or you would like to use a different e mail client, you can change your email settings by clicking Cancel and then choosing
Edit ->Preferences->sharing."
At the bottom right are two buttons, "OK" and "Cancel"
When we put in our email address into the "Sender verification" box, and press "OK" the next window is entitled "HTML Email Sender Verification" . The only words on the page for us are in red and they say:
"Your email could not be sent because an unkown error has occurred. Please try again."
Then we have the option of pushing the "OK" or "Cancel" button.
Can anyone help us get beyond this obstacle?

You need to enter the email id in preferences. Once you put it, you will receive a verification code. You need to put this verificaiton code in the sender verification window. This is required if you are using Adobe email service. You can change the email provider from sharing preferences.
