Well that is the message i get. I can still use firefox(version3.6.8)
You get that error if an extension is using an old and no longer supported method to install a plugin.
Which plugin are you trying to install?

The statement above is in the pop up error box every time, when I launch Firefox. If I click ok in the box Firefox then opens. How do I fix this initializing/launch problem?Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).<br />

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.<br />
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.<br />

Clicking OK or closing the box leads to a further delay of about 20 secs. after which the required action takes place! Of course, it could be said that it's really only a delay, so I should just get used to it, but it's still a malfunction, it's a pain in the neck or another region, and I really would like to cure it. Cant open itunes. Get error message CMBlockBufferCopyDataBytes could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll. Anyone know how to fix that?

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The error hints at a similar pattern to those discussed in the first and third boxes of the user tip, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find CoreMedia.dll in the one of the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
Delete it and then repair Apple Mobile Device Support from the Programs and Features control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

I get error message iTunes could not sync calendars to iPhone because an error occurred while merging data on my wifes phone how do you correct problem without losing calendars info on phone.
One thing that might help.
1. open itunes preferences from the edit menu and click on the devices tab.
2. check the box to disable syncing for iphones connected to itunes and click ok.
3. Then click the button to reset sync history.
4. Now click ok to close the preferences window.
5. connect the iphone to itunes and go to the info tab.
6. scroll to the bottom of the info page and check the box to replace the ical data on the iphone.
7. then click apply on the bottom right of itunes.
This will overwrite any events on the iphone, including any events that has become corrupted.

Just wanted to update the community on my exciting adventure to fix my ipad;
I made my way over to the Apple Store here in South Florida and had my appointment with the geniuses. No one could figure this sucker out! They did every thing they could think of to the ipad without success. Couldn't even tell me what the problem was. All were very nice about it, of course. I was told to wait a day while they contacted the great and powerful central genius(es) but apparently no one was home there since they never responded to the request for help.
Anyway, I will go back to the Apple Store one more time before I give in to the conclusion that my 3 year old iPad (original) is DOA -

I would like to repartition the Main HD to two Partitions but could not do so and keep on getting an error message of "Could not unmount disc.." so I tried choosing the "Macintosh HD" partition and tried Partitioning it but the option is not available. So to my frustration I tried clicking on "Erase" to see whether doing so would allow me to finally partition my HD but still can't. And now since I erased my Macintosh HD partition I could no longer boot to Lion.
Before doing the above steps I downloaded the Lion Recovery Disc Assistant and created an external Recovery HD using an 8GB flash drive. I used this as startup destination by choosing it as boot destination from pressing Option before startup. I tried using Mac OS X Utilities to Reinstall Mac OS X from the external drive but I only get "Could not find installation information for this machine." message. I also tried booting from the Recovery HD partition on the HD but i also get the same message.
I have a new iMac that came with OS X Lion 10.7.
Anybody have idea how to fix this?Partitioning on-the-fly may fail if the disk is too fragmented. You cannot run Erase for the internal disk as it contains its system components. The same if trying to run Boot Camp in order to create the Windows partition, it may fail if disk is too fragmented.
If I correctly understand what you want, then you must boot from an external disk, therefore copy Lion to a 4 GB (or higher) flash drive, run the installer, and then choose the option to partition the disk, this is done after rebooting into the installer from the external drive. You cannot do that if the Lion installer is on the internal drive as it cannot erase or repartition itself.
If this fails (did you try this?), then perhaps you can try to create a Lion boot flash or DVD by using a non-Apple app called Lion DiskMaker, when ready restart, after chime press option / alt key, then choose to boot from this newly created boot disk or flash drive. This reportedly works OK (tried with an older version of Lion, not recently, was OK). It is better to work with a flash drive, Lion is not optimized to run from optical media.
WARNING: disregarding the method, you MUST always back up your data when repartitioning or installing / reinstalling.

I have recently updated my phone and am attempting to sync it. I got the error message "iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone". I deleted the backup, restarted my computer, and even restored the iPhone, but continue to get the same error message. What do I need to do now?
iTunes places the iPhone backup in the following location. Navigate there & delete everything in the backup folder, but not the folder itself. You will have to turn on "Show All Hidden Files & Folders" to see it:

I run windows 7 and cant get ipod to sync. I hav run diagnostics and it says everything fine, but ipod goes through entire sying phase then comes up with following message

I have tried removing itunes and all that is associated with it then reinstalling and keep getting the same message. I've reset my ipod thinking that would help but still, no backup.
In iTunes, Edit, Preference, Device there are no backups.

Adobe Reader won't install in any of the website-given ways. How can I fix this?
I've been trying to install Adobe Reader 11.0 on my Windows 8 computer for about an hour now. When I download the regular installer, the first thing my PC does is give a security warning. Strange already, but the website mentioned this could happen, so I said "download anyway". Then when I execute the installler file, I get a small error window titled "Host" which tells me "the certificate could not be verified". The only thing I can do is press "OK", which makes it go away, but the installer still does nothing, of course.
So I tried the other "direct" download which is given as a possible solution. The AdbeRdr11000 file I get from that downloads without any security issues.
When I execute it, it asks me if I give this installer permission to run. I say "yes", the window dissapears and then nothing happens. At all. I can wait all I want, it's like I never clicked anything to begin with.
So how can I fix this. I really feel like downloading such a widespread product shouldn't be so difficult.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.When I follow your link, after filling out the information (operating system, language), I still can only choose for version 11,0.
This is the same version the "direct" download gives me (the one that doesn't do anything after executing).
