Hello,
I am currently doing project in IT asset tracking, in which coding is done in ABAP dialog programming.
my problem is, i have created main screen with radio buttons, it is working fine in se80.. but when i run the application in SAPConsole using sapconsole command ''sapcnsl.exe'', it does display main screen but doesnt allow me to select other radio button.. coding done abap dialog programming is fine, it allows me to navigate to second radio button..
It's urgent please help...

First of all:
It's strange that storage type 998 is used in your system for GR in transfer posting process - it is used for initial stock upload in standard system. Interim storage type 921 is used for SLoc-SLoc transfer posting.
Is there any way i can restrict GI process so that user can't issue material which hasn't placed into storage bin (still in AUFNAHME)???
In standard system not. Maybe through development you could do a check whether there're open TR for the material in connection with the interim storage type or you could check the quants for the interimn storage type...
But I think and strongly recommend you should not do this.
The process in SAP (process in ERP) and the physical process (moving the goods physically) should go paralelly. So, my opinion is that you should find out why the goods are not placed in storage bin in SAP whilst they are already in the bin physically. Maybe workers need training / workers have to keep to the rules / you have to revise the process/ use RF devices / etc.
Question is...how can i clear Storage Type 911 (GI area for Cost Center) after GI process
You can solve it (e.g.):
1. Manually, in the sort run: you move the suitable quant from the interim storage type used for SLoc-SLoc stock transfer (921) to interim storage type 911 by LT01 / LT10 (because you should have a +quant in 921 and a -quant in 911).
2. In the long run: e.g. you can set TR creation for your movement type and processing those TRs (from LB10) you will get the TO and realize the goods movement.
SPRO > LE > WM > Interfaces > IM > Define Movement Types > LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management
3. Immediate TO creation for these postings. Please sea OSS note 136796 if you are interested in this solution.

Csaba

  • Configuration docs for Asset Management

    Hi.
Does anyone have configuration docs for Asset Management
    thanks
    Tom

Go to http://help.sap.com/ and click on SAP Best Practices. Look for Building Blocks Library under the Additional Information on the right side of the page. In the Building Block Library, look for J10- Asset Management. Click on that and thereafter, under Technical Documentation, click on configuration guide. There you should have all the information or at least some of the information you need on Asset Management.

  • Aperture Workflow - need help creating workflow for photo management

    Hi -
I currently shoot with a Canon SD890 (point & shoot) and a Nikon D300 (SLR). My photography is either personal photography or street photography. I may use some of my photography for a web project but that should not be considered right now. I shoot jpegs with the SD890 and RAW with the D300. I need to create a workflow that will allow me to manage all of my photos as well as the RAW vs JPEG aspect. Here are a few initial questions:
    1) Should I separate the RAW and JPEGs in Aperture (two libraries)? One library for finished photos and one for negatives?
    2) What folder structure should I use? Since I am not a professional photographer, I won't be shooting projects. I think something date or event driven would be best (preferably both).
I am interested to hear how others do this...especially if you use both point & shoot and SLR cameras.
    Thanks for your help!

No, use a single Library. Aperture will have no problems with the various formats or with various different cameras.
    2) What folder structure should I use? Since I am not a professional photographer, I won't be shooting projects. I think something date or event driven would be best (preferably both).
Actually those date or event driven batches of images are very logically "Projects" in Aperture. Simply name each group of images as you import into AP as a new Project.
IMO it is not good to import camera-to-Aperture (or direct to any app other than the Finder). Best is to use a card reader and use the Finder to copy images from the camera card to a folder on the computer hard drive.
    Below is my Referenced-Masters workflow:
    • Remove the CF card from the camera and insert it into a CF card reader. Faster readers and cards are preferable.
    • Finder-copy images from CF to a labeled folder on the intended permanent Masters location hard drive. I label that folder with the Project name suffixed with _masters, that way I can always find the Masters if Aperture forgets where they are.
    • Eject CF.
    • Burn backup copies of the original images to DVDs or to hard drives (optional backup step).
    • Eject backup DVDs/hard drives (optional backup step).
    • From within Aperture, import images from the hard drive folder into Aperture selecting "Store files in their current location."
    • Review pix for completeness (e.g. a 500-pic shoot has 500 valid images showing).
    • Reformat CF in camera, and archive DVDs of originals off site.
Note that the "eject" steps above are important in order to avoid mistakenly working on removable media.
I strongly recommend that every Aperture user spend $35 and work through the tutorial CD Apple Pro Training Series: Aperture 2 (Apple Pro Training Series) by Ben Long, Richard Harrington, and Orlando Luna (Paperback - May 8, 2008), Amazon.com. Note that the value is in working the tutorial, not in using the book as a manual.
    Good luck!

  • Help using workflow for import manager

    hi all,
assumes import server is used for automation creation/update of records,
i need to design a workflow to verify existing record  that:
if a validation pass: update all fields + update mapping key
if a validation fail : update mapping key only
can anyone provide good suggestion on how it can be done via workflow?
MDM API is out of scope...
    thanks,
    Shanti

    Hello Shanti
Import manager and import server  launch workflow after data loading is finished.
You cannot manage loading rules from workflow.
You can create two inbound ports:
    one for keys loading
    another one for keys+fileds loading

  • Adobe Bridge As A Digital Asset Manager

I've begun to work more with digital stills in my work with FCE. Bringing stills for touch up into Photoshop CS4 is typically part of the work flow. Adobe includes Adobe Bridge as one way to import the stills.
Adobe also suggests that Bridge is a "powerful program for previewing and managing a diverse array of assets." This suggests that Bridge can be used as a Digital Assets Manager (DAM) for stills, audio, swf, and video files.
The more work we do in media development - the more we need to better manage our media. I'm curious if there are any with experience attempting to use Bridge as a DAM and if so, how it has proved as a viable tool for asset management. Please let me know of any experience or knowledge you may have.
    Thanks!

I posted it to this group for three reasons.
    1) I'm curious if Bridge really does "bridge" well between Adobe and Apple products or is it really just for Adobe products. With Final Cut, we often find ourselves bridging between these competing companies. Id Bridge a viable solution?
    2) Are there viable DAM products out there that media professionals are successfully using and if so what are they and is Bridge one of them?
    3) Like many of us on this list, I use FC and Photoshop. Have FC users found Bridge to be a viable DAM solution or not for these tools?
Hope that helps to clarify my question.

  • Asset Management and tracking using iOS?

    Hi,
I would like to use iphones for asset management and tracking and am having a bit of difficulty finding what I am looking for. I bought delicious library 3 at home to see if it could track code39 or code128 but so far it doesn't work, and I can't seem turn off Amazon searching. Anyway, I also ran across iCody, which looked nice and even clz barry, but they all seem to be data entry only.
What I am looking for is an app/application set that can work in two ways:
    1. Build a database (this could be manually if it needs to be) of asset items. I would then enter details about that item into the database.
    2. Scan, view, and possibly edit the item by barcode using an iOS device.
Has anyone found something that will do this? I'm not real interested in demoing apps by buying them first
    thanks

    Hi Stephanie,
SAP Real Estate Management is made to manage space, room reservation, moves, lease administration and so on, while SAP Enterprise Management is used in a property management environment to manage repairs, maintenance and services. SAP Real Estate Management provides Usage and Architectural Master Data Object to display the portfolio, while SAP Enterprise Asset Management provides so called Functional Locations. In SAP Real Estate Management there is an option to automatically create and/or update Functional Locations in SAP Enterprise Asset Management and a BAdI to synchronize Fixture & Fittings on SAP Real Estate Management objects with entries in the Classification System in SAP Enterprise Asset Management. • Need Asset Management

I'm in search of an asset management software for my company, we have about 50 Mac users, 3 Xserve's, 3 RAID's. I want something that I can use to scan the network for Mac Devices (and/or Windows) and provide information about the devices that we can use for asset management, I'm pretty open to whatever you can provide me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Ayokunle

Altiris' Client Management Suite has supported OS X as a client for several years now
If that's the case, it would be nice of them to actually tell people on their datasheet.
I always question a company's intent when they can't be bothered to include their Mac client support in their sales propaganda. What do they think they're going to lose by adding it? Are all those Windows users going to suddenly stop using their product just because it supports Macs too? I doubt it.

  • Mass Video Asset Management in Lightroom 4 - Watch as I Test (Flail and Fumble)

The Project is to: catalog, keyword, manage, rate, and organize over 3400 video clips (AVCHD clips re-wrapped as MOV files) shot in 30 days in Costa Rica. The shoot was purely run and gun -total guerrilla style. As we were unable to do much transfer and review in the field, I came home with a huge project to complete before editing videos. I've limited the choices of software for asset management & organization down to Lightroom 4 or CatDV. Ethically, I feel obligated to say that I"m pulling for Adobe since I use the entire suite, and there are some nice fringe benefits keeping everything "in house,"
First Step: All video files are AVCHD files which are re-wrapped (by ClipWrap) into MOV files. This step is crucial, since AVCHD does not include/store metadata in the video file itself.
Second Step: Files are stored on the MAC-OS level into folders corresponding to the dates the shots were taken
Third Step: Get the 3400+ files organized, weeded, and prepped for editing
@#$!)~*(*&%^ <-- That's what a record scratch looks like in the digital age
I started examining software solutions and gave each a couple of good tries to narrow the choices down to TWO packages of software:
OnLocation - Couldn't feel it and it looks like it's meant to work for a different flow. No.
Cosmos - Couldn't really do much of anything with metadata. No.
Bridge - Almost there, but pretty limited and not dual screen friendly at all. No.
CatDV - Now there you go...almost. Everything is in a catalog meaning you have to go between this software and Premiere. Definite maybe.
Lightroom 4 - Comes with heaps of background in organizing stills, how will it work for massive amounts of video? Definite maybe.
CatDV and Lightroom 4 both imported everything just fine.
I'll post more as I get into it. Soon, if anyone cares to read more.

Lightroom 4 has completed the task of importing 3440 video clips. CatDV (fully functional 30 day trial) crashed again on the large import. I'm going to try importing 10 folders at a time in CatDV.
As I start to play in Lightroom4 with asset mgmt:
    PROs
    Slick relatively tweakable user interface
Keyword buttons are great (wish we could have more on the surface)
Nice "twirl-down" flow that Adobe uses in the product line -I love this
    CONs
Lightroom4 video previews are horrifically sluggish at best, and at this point is unusable for a large collection
The scrub over (video thumbnail) preview is a huge resource hog and would benefit from a disable option
Second Monitor pane has some issues/incongruencies with the main monitor pane:
Grid view will not allow multiple files to be graded/keyworded/etc simultaneously
Loupe view will not play video files and treats the video file preview like a photo
This is all for now. More on CatDV when I get it going.

  • Migrate Lotus Notes Finance Apps to Oracle Enterprise Asset Management

    Hi,
I would like to know if Lotus Notes apps for asset management can be migrated to Oracle Enterprise Asset Management. If so are there any tools to aid the process.

    Hi,
This forum is for migrating from non-Oracle databases to Oracle.

  • Looking for help - Company is going to Mobile Asset Management service that does not support BB - especially BB 10.

    Hello,
I am looking for ideas/help. I currently have a BB Z10 (10.1.0.2039) with Verizon Wireless.  The company has a BB Enterprise Server for older devices (I previously was on that).  I bought a Z10 several months ago and have been connecting to the corporate network through Lotus Traveler. They do not have and will not implement a BB 10 Enterprise Server. Some in IT informed that if the company used the BB software they could manage all devices..... not accepted.
All my contacts, calendar, and company email is funneled to the BB Hub.....
So my company is implementing a Mobile Asset Management Service that I have to sign up for (Airwatch?).  They only support Android and IPhone.
Will future versions of the BB OS support Android Apps.... Soon (I have less than 2 weeks)
I have read where it is possible to put the device in development mode to run Android Apps.  I don't know if that will work with this and have no idea how stable the phone is in that mode. I travel internationally so I don't know how a development mode would work overseas. Any thoughts?
I like my Z10 but will need to switch to keep functionality if I can't find a work around
    Any assistance ????
    Thanks for any help.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
BB10 devices have the ability to run .apk apps via special methods. Development Mode is used only for installing the app...not for normal operation. So you install (side-load) the app in Development Mode, then go back to normal mode for normal operations.
If a .bar file for the .apk app already exists somewhere, you can side load it to the BB10 device and see if it works or not. If there is not yet any .bar file, there is an app called SideSwype that can convert many .apk apps to .bar and install it to your device.
    Good luck!
