Help! iTunes auto-downloading apps I don't use anymore
I don't want iTunes to re-download Broken Sword and Asphalt 5 for the iPad/iPhone. My iTunes is sync'd with my Dropbox and it wastes like a GB of space between the two of them. I have it unchecked in the store section of iTunes to automatically download apps. But after syncing my iPhone they start to download EVERY TIME. Drives me nuts. I've deleted, unchecked the box that says to auto download, etc. I don't have them on my devices either. I will never ever play those games again even though I paid for them. What can I do to have it quit doing that?
try sending an email to the iTS customer service using this form and ask the folks there to remove the item(s) from your download queue.

I wish I could set app updates, in iTunes, to auto-download every hour when available just like my podcasts do. Am I overlooking some way to do this or is this really a wish-list feature?It is not possible, I assume due to certain apps charging for updates (as will be the likely case for sat-nav map updates etc). This is why iTunes requests your password for confirmation that you want to install the update, whether it is free or chargeable.
What I would like to see is the option to reject an update! That way, if you don't want to pay to update an app, you can remove the notification spot on your iPhone and in iTunes! -
how do you stop itunes from downloading apps over and over again and again like for ever it wont stop help.
i tryed everything i can in the setting and so on , i even clicked on the downloads arrow to pause it and delete them but like i said it will now stop.
theres apps i just dont want. theres a list of them but theres not a place were i can get rid of them. it also says some stuff about icloud yeah right like i have ios 5 or 7 ha . pod touch 2 is what i have lol . plz help thanks.to the right by search library theres an arrow there click on it : it will show you what it is downloading , from there you can pause and select all and delete them but still will continue to download them if you tell itunes to check for downloads. that download engien is crazy i tell yeah.
no matter what we do it will still download them trust me i tryed everything and i also went to icloud to see if it was there but to what i see is that there is no apps there this is some crazy itune program that needs to remade. -
I need to know because my ipad is running out of storage space and I don't want it to fill up with old apps but I wish to keep auto download on so don't say "turn auto download off"

I'm trying to delete some recently downloaded apps that don't work. They are faded grey and although they shake with the other apps, no cross appears in the top corner. Any ideas anyone? Thanks, Sean
I have the same issue witha slight variation. The app icons that are grayed out and cannot be deleted are DUPLICATES of other apps that I already have. For instance I now have 2 Redbox apps - one works normally, the other cannot be opened or deleted.

How can I sync my iPhone on a different computer without erasing my applications? My iPhone was earlier synced with a PC which I don't use anymore.
On the new computer, I am getting a message that my all purchases would be deleted if I sync it with new iTunes library.

I've recently changed my email address and my apple ID but sometimes I'm still prompted to use my old apple ID and password which I don't use anymore. I can't seem to be able to delete my old Apple Id, any suggestions?
Please follow these steps in order to get it working properly again.
Please change your Apple ID back to your old email address (that you used as Apple ID before) here:http://appleid.apple.com
Then go to all your devices - iPhones, iPads, Mac etc. - ("Settings > iCloud") and delete your iCloud account from this devices (+ turn off Find My iPhone, but I guess it will ask you that anyway)
After that go back to http://appleid.apple.com sign in again, and now change your Apple ID again to your new email address.
Finally, set up your iCloud account on all your devices again.
Now, everything should working properly again. -

Try resetting > Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then follow the instructions for re downloading apps > Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If resetting doesn't help, try resetting the network settings.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Then try downloading again. -
