Looking for Help on How To Save Video as Divx File

Can someone help? I have iMoive 4.0.1 and I need to save video clips as a Divx file. I go to the "share" button and try to compress the clip for Quicktime and choose expert settings. This gives me a list of options including Divx AVI. When I choose this option, the file is turned into an .avi file not a .divx file. ANd there is no other Divx choice available. I have talked to another iMovie user (v4.0.1., too) and--the odd thing--on his option list he has Divx (not Divx AVI). So I need assistance in either finding another way to do this with my existing 4.0.1. or finding a plug-in that will allow me to save as a Divx file. Or--if no one can tell me how to do this--let me ask if anyone out there knows whether iMovie HD 5.0 or iMovie 6.0 would allow me to do what I need to do. Thanks.

Divx isn't a standard option, so you have downloaded some third party support for Divx. Try the latest version.

Please Help! I want to covert an FLV file to an AVI file HOW?!?

I downloaded a youtube video which was an MP4 and used Flash CS3 Video Encoder to encode it to an FLV file. Actually improved the quiktime file. Anyway, my question is: I want to encode the FLV file to an AVI file to put on a DVD for a friend to view in their DVD player. They don't have internet capabilities [ ] so I can't email the link.
If I can make a DVD so they can view the AVI files that would be the cats meow!!
I tried using the video import wizard to import the FLV file into Flash CS3 but can't seem to figure out what to do. I know there is someone out there that can help me.
OH, PLEASE!! You guys have always been SOOO helpful in the past.

If your friend has a DVD player that can play avi files, that's great! but most DVD players will not play .avi files, since .avi is more or less a Windows based video container format... for use on computers, not broadcast TV or DVD players.
But if you're sure that it will work, there are lots of flv to avi converters available. Just Google "flv to avi converters", for example:

I have a lot of music on my zen micro and am trying to change around some of the files. I am using the playforsure program and the drag and drop feature does not seem to work. Does anyone know how I can move a song from one folder to another?

Help! How to save an AI file in 2 colours as PDF?

I have an .ai file which I have used only 2 colours (one Pantone, and black). I need to save it out as a PDF file and have it also as a 2-colour file. When I go to "save as" PDF, I can't find a way to see how I can control that. My printer is telling me that my PDF is a CMYK file.
Do I need to set up the Illustrator file in anyway to make this happen? Or is there are way to save out a PAD file in 2 colours?
In Illustrator, I set the preview to CMYK. I have added the Pantone colour to the swatches, and have used only that Pantone colour and black.
Please help!! I need to get the file to the printer today!

Sorry I am a bit new to this ...
I would be in AI - when I go to "File" then "print", I am given many options to configure. If I click on "Output" on the left panel, I will see a CMYK list under "Document Ink Options". If I have chosen the Composite mode, the CMYK list will be greyed out. But if I choose any separation mode, I can turn each of the colour (CMYK and any other spot colors used) on or off. I discovered that if I switched the mode to separation, then turn off all the CMYK, when I go back to composite mode, only the spot colours will print.
I don't know whether that makes sense. But when I go to "save as" to save the file as a PDF, I don't see this CMKY list (I don't know what this list is called properly - but it's under "Document Ink Options").
I think I just want to know if I only used 2 spot colours on a file, and I want to make sure that when I generate a PDF, only the 2 colours are there, and not any CMYK, what is the best way for me to ensure that.

A still frame from an Event:
Put cursor at the frame you want, then right click (or command click) and select "Add Still Frame to Project".
The still frame will be added at the end of the Project.
A still frame from a Project:
Put cursor at the frame you want then right-click (or control-click) and select "Add Freeze Frame". The Freeze frame will be added after the clip.
In both cases:
Select the still frame (so the yellow band is around it).
Right-click (or control-click) and select "Reveal in Finder".
You will see a JPG file highlighted in the finder.
Drag this file and drop it on your iPhoto icon in the Dock.

You may be running on borrowed time. It sounds like something in your OS file system interface has become corrupted.
But some things to try:
1. Save to another local drive/volume, ESPECIALLY if you're trying to save on a network.
2. Choose Image - Duplicate, then try to save on a local drive/volume as a PSD.

I had a best script to date, on an older hard drive and the motherboard failed on my HP tower. The sony laptop has a more recent dated script, but not the one I want. How do I replace an "older" date script, one that I want for a newer script. I don't want the newer script, I want the older one that is on a "pulled" hard drive again, from a tower that failed.
Do I save the older file on an offline, using a new ID, new password, forever changed or what can I do?
I need a fairly quick response, timing is critical. HP tower is the problem.

You have it half right. the issue is the HP tower I had failed. The mother board failed, I pulled the hard drive which is windows 7, I have a sony laptop which is in 32 bit vista, I am not sure if the different versions will be an issue. can i take a file off the pulled hard drive and put it somewhere in a directory even with the different windows vista vs windows 7 if so which file should i copy on the pulled hard drive and where do i put it on the laptop, directory plus I will go back on online save it in the clouds and reformat the laptop and go to windows 7 then go back to adobe story and go from there. thank you for your quick attention in this matter.

I am not sure if I understand your problem correctly, but as far as I can make out you had been working on a script and then it got autosaved and now you wish to go back to the "older" script.
In order to do so you may visit your document's history through the View->History option. There you will see older versions of your document (if you had not turned off autoversioning). You may then open an older version of the document from the panel by double clicking on it. Once on an older version you will get to see the "Make Latest" option. Clicking on that will make the "older" state of your document your "current" state and then you may proceed to edit the document as usual.
I hope this is helpful to your situation. In case you face any issues in following the mentioned steps do let us know.

able to realize that your minimum and maximum never get set (thus they

Yes, if you are asking about using Time Machine to backup the Mac.

You are not thinking of deleting the photos and files on your Mac, are you? If you do this, you will have no backups for those files.
Another concern is that Time Machine backs up the changes on your Mac. At some point, Time Machine will automatically delete the photos and files from the Time Capsule.....you just don't know when this might occur.
In other words, only delete files from your Mac that you can afford to lose.

Please Help: I could not save my Premiere CC and now Premiere won't open!

I've been working on this project (on a Mac) for several weeks without any problems Today I rendered my sequence. I also deleted some files from my computer while it was rendering to make extra space.
First I got this message: You do not have write access to the directory where this project is located. Select "Save As" from the File menu to save the project to a new location."
When I try to save the project to a new location on my computer, I get the same message again.
I tried to save the project to an external drive, and the system crashed. "Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project."
Not only does Premiere not re-open my project, it refuses to reopen at all. When I try to reopen it I get the "Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project."
I'm scared! Please help.
