what do "pn-begda" and "pn-endda" means?
it always EQ "18000101" and "99991231"
can anyone explain it to me ?

pn-begda and pn-endda are depend on the selection options for the period.
Example:
1) If you select radio button Today then the values for pn-begda and pn-endda are
pn-begda = 20070905
pn-endda = 20070905
2) If you select radio button Current month then the values for pn-begda and pn-endda are
pn-begda = 20070901
pn-endda = 20070930
3) If you select radio button Current year then the values for pn-begda and pn-endda are
pn-begda = 20070101
pn-endda = 20071231
4) If you select radio button Up to today then the values for pn-begda and pn-endda are
pn-begda = 18000101
pn-endda = 20070905
5) If you select radio button From today then the values for pn-begda and pn-endda are
pn-begda = 20070905
pn-endda = 99991231
For other period, you can enter the dates for the Data selection period and person selection period.

Hi all.
I am developing a hr report with logical database pnp and screen 900 i.e the payroll screen.
I wan to access the start date of payroll and hence m using pn-begda and pn-ennda but to my surprise both of them are null. i also tried payroll-evp-fpend and payroll-evp-fpbeg but they are also set to null.
can any one please explain y is it happening and what should i do to find out the start and end date?

Get the payroll run from your HR Functional consultant first. Maybe then, you would get the values in Pn-begda and Pn-endda.

Why pn-begda and pn-endda not filled ? but pn-begps and pn-endps filled.

Im using logical database PNP.
in all my reports, whenever i fillPayroll period, the from date and enddate (pn-begda and pn-endda) is populated for the given pay period.
In one of my report, these value (pn-begda and endda) are blank.
pn-begps and pn-endps is getting filled instead. (Why ? What setting i have to do, to bring pn-benga and pn-endda?)

Hi Jhove,
BEGPS and ENDPS refer to person selection period (whether a person exists on a specified period) whereas BEGDA and ENDDA refer to data selection period (whether a specific IT record exists in a specified period). Probably in your report person selection period fields are filled whereas data selection period fields are left blank (or these fields even do not exist in your selection screen). Thus, you need to check whether data selection period is available in selection screen and it is filled prior to report execution.

Infotype in PPOME , disable display_period-begda and display_period-endda

Hi everyone, i create an infotype custom with subscreen; then create association for infty and type position 'O'.
From subscreen MPXXXX00 subscreen 7000 i have to disable     dynpname = 'SAPLRHOMDETAILMANAGER'.
    dynpnumb = '0300' fields DISPLAY_PERIOD-BEGDA and DISPLAY_PERIOD-ENDDA.
With f.m. 'DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE' i can change the value , but not the properties.....
How can I do , if is possible ?

Hi Marco.
There is chance to do what you want using implicit enhancements, but you must use it carefully.
In the include LRHOMDETAILMANAGERF01 there is a subroutine named INIT_PERIODS, this subroutine is called from a PBO module of Dynpro 0300, so as you can not modify directly this standard include you must use implicit enhancements.
After you have created the enhancement you will be able to add some code at the end of subroutine.. you can make use of field "act_info-tabtype" to identify the active tab, after that you should perform a loop at screen and change the input field to 0.

Please help, simple question about Smart Playlists and Live Updating

PLEASE for some reason I've never gotten an answer on this.
I have a Smart Playlist called "Recently Played" with Live Updating. No matter how I set the parameters, the most recently played *song will ALWAYS appear on the bottom of the list when using my iPhone on the go.* I bolded that because I want you to be aware I'm not talking about on iTunes - I'm aware you can change how the list is viewed on iTunes.
When using your iPod/iPhone on the fly and Live Updating is enabled, is there any way to make the most recently played song appear at the very top???

Haven't seen that problem before but try the following: in iTunes, right-click the playlist name and enable the option "Copy to Play Order." Then sync.
The normal use of "Copy to Play Order" when you have the playlist displayed in iTunes in some sort order, but you want it to display in the iPod in shuffled order (as it will actually play). Different problem than you are observing, but the same thing "might" help.... Let us know.

Help with queries about boot camp and partition, please.

Hi, I am hoping to partition my HDD. I have done this before, when I first got my macbook but got rid of it, and now I can't fully remember the do's and don'ts' of boot camp. I just need a few questions answered before I take any action.
1. I have a 120GB HDD with about 15GB free space. If I partition the drive will I lose any data on my existing HDD?
2. What is the minimal amount of space I can partition the drive and install Windows?
(I have a copy of Windows XP SP2, and really only need to install it for the use of one program that isn't available on the Apple operating systems.)
3. I tried using Parallels in which Windows took up about 6GB, will it be about the same again? I uninstalled it because I found it to lag a bit.

Maybe you should first get a larger drive; you don't have much more than the minimum 10% free space that Mac OS needs.
Retry with Sun's VirtualBox. Maybe you just need more memory.
Lose data? Step #1: backup.
You may need to backup and erase your hard drive and then restore.
I'd invest in 300GB drive though.

Help on T61 ABOUT track point and touchpad!

Anyone encountered this problem!
I use the os UBUNTU on my T61 lenovo for almost 1year and its work with
the mouse meaning no problem!
Now I just reformat it into windows XP now the trackpoint and touchpad left button wont work but the right button
working! I already use my original recovery and it not working to!
But when I disable my touchpad button and enable the trackpoint it work
the track point work only if o disable the touchpad!
Even the touchpad wont work in double click only the right click is working
but when I use UBUNTU software both mouse are working!
I already reset the cmos!
Anyone can't answer this pls help!

I already boot in dos mode and even in thinkpad recovery explorer the mouse left buttons wont work
meaning if I use Microsoft software the mouse left buttons wont work

HRABAP about pn-begda in logicdatabase

When using the logic database to retrive the data in HR, do the pn-begda and pn-endda have any effects on GET PERNR?
I have no experience in HR ABAP programmming. When I set the pn-begps, it did affect the data which was selected in GET EVENT, but it seemed that the pn-begda have no effect the infotype data result selected .

It does affect the selection. If you give date range, then you will get the data retrieved which is valid within that date range.

Have you tried to reset it? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds and see if you can get it to reboot.

Of course if you are both connected to the same iCloud account you have the same contacts - what did you expect?. The contacts live on the server and are read from there by the devices; so as you've both managed to sync your contacts up to iCloud they are now inextricably mixed. You can only delete your contacts by deleting individual ones, and doing that will delete them from your phone as well.
You can only unravel this by
1. In the iCloud contacts page at http://icloud.com, select all the contacts, click on the cogwheel icon at bottom left and choose 'Export vCard'.
2. Sign out of System Preferences>iCloud
3. Create a new Apple ID and open a new iCloud account with it for your own use.
4. Import the vCard back into the iCloud contacts page.
5. Go to http://icloud.com and sign in with the original ID. This is now his ID. Work through the contacts individually deleting the ones you don't want him to have. When done sign out and advise him to change his password.
6. Go to the new iCloud account and delete his contacts individually.
Of course if you have also been syncing calendars and using the same email address there are problems with doing this.

If Other (the yellow bar) is too big something is corrupted. The only solution (that I know of) is to restore from your most recent backup using iTunes (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766).
