Can anyone tell me why in the world blackberry would create such a SUCKY phone??
I mean it has a 2.0MP  camera  (FOR WHAT?????) I mean seriously if you can not send picture msg's to other cell phones  why give us a camera at all?
E-mail?  okay its got e-mail SO WHAT --- I can check my mail at home!
Web Browser --- Ok i can surf the net.. but i cant DO ANYTHING!!
 ** TRY BIDDING on yahoo?
** try INSTALLING Flash or Java
 **  try playing games?
** try viewing avi, mpg, or any movie format on movies.com!
(( ok so the NET is not THE NET -- atleast not on my phone)
SMART phone??
Pretty Friggen STUPID if you ask me.. i think a childs phone would be better.. atleast the childrens phone can SEND PICTURE MSG's
(( CALL ME 989-280-9639 )) or e-mail me  [email protected] (OR TEXT ME - just dont include a PIC!!)
oh that reminds me -- MY PHONE dont have signal 99% of the time (BUT MY WIFE's phone sitting right next to me --- SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

That's a pretty common (and irritating) issue actually.
Fortunately it's pretty easy to fix. Might sound stupid, but as was already mentioned, you just need to keep connecting and unconnecting the headphones over and over again until it starts working properly. 2 or 3 usually does it for me.

  • I want to up grade my phone to a blackberry 'PASSTPORT'  when is the Blackbeery 'PASSTPORT' going to be available ?

I want to upgrade my phone to a Blackberry 'PASSPORT' . When is the Blackberry 'PASSPORT'  going to be available ?

Don't think we are going to get it anytime soon...or a response from VZW for that matter...I have tried numerous calls to VZW...nothing.  I have tried Blackberry...nothing.
AT&T does have the US exclusive for the Passport...just no date from them as to when they will start selling them.  Lots of rumors that it will either be just before the holidays...or just after.
I have had a Blackberry device for about 20 years.  Been a Verizon customer via work or personally for that long as well.
I think Blackberry is going to move to selling devices directly (Amazon, Shop Blackberry, etc).  Too much risk with inventory write offs for unsold phones (and Carrier relations not that great in US)   Blackberry had to write off $800M on unsold inventory on the Z10...which I enjoy as I have one.  The BB10 operating system ROCKS...people don't know what they are missing...
Truth is...BB only had to sell about 240K Passport Phones to be profitable...they sold over 200K in the first few hours it was released...That phone is now sold out in every market worldwide where it has been released.
Although I am frequently on Crackberry daily to check out info...here was a fairly un-biased and detailed look at the Passport if you haven't seen it yet.
BlackBerry Passport review: Ticket to ride - GSMArena.com
There are some other reviews out there from folks who have actually used the phone for a week or 2...this link just does some straight up comparisons.  Other reviews from actual users...are very positive.
Bottom Line:  I won't stay with Verizon if there is no Passport.  I also will no longer lock myself into a contract by purchasing a subsidized phone from Verizon (actually more expensive anyway) I will buy the device...and then shop for the carrier to add my phone (obviously one that has a GSM network at this point).
Sorry for the long reply...I guess I'm just frustrated too...

  • Why can't I get Blackberry App World on my 8130 Blackberry Pearl?

I have a Blackberry 8130 Pearl, with telus mobility and it won't let me load blackberry app world on it. Solutions or reasons for failure please and thank you.
    =^.^=
    Added note:
I sent the email to my blackberry, opened it, clicked the links, but all I got was access denied.

Try again -- a generic data plan and a Blackberry Data Plan are separate entities. I suggest you contact your carrier and find out if you have an adequate data plan from them to enable your access of AppWorld via their network.

Where are the improvements? Where are the MP3 player apps to play my mp3 files? Where are the basic android/ smartphone apps? How about a sms messenger? You know the ability to actually send a picture to another person? I mean people have been able to do that with flip phones for 10 years..........

  • Sending a phone back to BlackBerry.

My phone has a defect. I can not access data. all I am able to do is send messages and place calls. My service provider even did a hard reset and still the phone has no internet. Any idea where i send the phone to, to have a new one sent back to me! PLEASE HELP ASAP! thanks

Contact your service provider for there specific policy on this matter. When my carrier does a warranty exchange, they mail me my new replacement phone (UPS/FedEx). The package includes everything needed (instructions, even a return shipping label) then schedule a pick-up with the chosen package carrier or drop it off at one of there many convenient drop-off locations/drop-box.

  • Bought from Amazon, Phone Broke, now Blackberry Site says I did not buy it from Amazon

I bought a Blackberry Classic from Amazon new in December. Sadly, it broke. When I go to Blackberry site to register for warranty repair, the site tells me that, based on the PIN, I did not buy the phone from Amazon. I have proof that I did with the dated order number.
    How can I contact Blackberry???

I suggest you go back to Amazon and register with them for a Warranty Repair. If they will not repair it and instead direct you to BlackBerry, get Amazon to give you the BlackBerry contact details. Good luck!

  • Why are there no plans for BlackBerry? How are Android and Nokia phones priority over BlackBerry's? Big mistake no? You're excluding a big sector, please advise

I just want to know whey Mozilla is excluding a big sector of the mobile phone community. There are so many more BlackBerry users at least here in the US than Android and Nokia phone users. Please advise why I have to be excluded from using my favorite browser on my BlackBerrry Torch 9800.

We do have plans to create a BlackBerry version of our iOS app, Firefox Home. For details, see http://blog.mozilla.com/mobile/2010/09/28/firefox-home-looking-to-the-future/

  • Verizon CEO: Windows Phone To Beat BlackBerry

    Article, http://www.informationweek.com/news/231601997
VZW maybe if you add more WP7 devices to your line up you can speed up the ecosystem and place WP7 as the third  platform
You can't just sit there and watch the other carriers enjoy customer satisfaction with WP7 without participating

I am surprised by CEO comments, first he said that Windows Phone 7 is not innovative enough and now has changed his tune to say it could be part of the top 3 players.  It is really sad CEO has no clue of what Windows Phone 7 brings to the table with its refreshing, unique and effective metro interface.
Last year I jumped from Verizon to ATT just for the WP7, and am a happy camper.  This year if I dont see any interest by Verizon on WP7 Mango  am moving my wife to ATT and get the Samsung Focus S.  Goodbye Verizon !!!

  • ICal with smart phones--- iPhone or Blackberry

I am assuming iPhone can sync with iCal? My husband and I are thinking of switching to AT&T. But, as I think of all the things that would be nice to have....
does iCal offer a sync to iPhone for two iPhones (mine and my husband's) Would it basically add calendar inputs from all directions? ie. if he adds on his iPhone or I add on mine... it would add it to my MacBook's iCal.... and also, if I add to iCal, would it add to both iPhones?
What would happen if my husband got a Blackberry instead, would that be just as compatible to syncing with iCal?

Appears to only sync with local calendars?
I have yet to get it to see iCal Server calendars.

  • Speaker in my Blackberry is bust - help!

As of the start of last week for no reason at all,, I had been experiencing problems with my calls - they are echoey and distorted, especially when I am speaking to whoever is on the other end of the line.
I took it into my local Orange shop when I was home from University for the weekend, the store I bought the phone in, and they identified the issue as being my speaker is broken, and they phoned each others phones from my Blackberry to hear for themselves the issue.
They suggested that I phone Orange (my provider) to see what they can offer me for help, and they did help a little bit but I was told to phone Blackberry as they should be able to help me out. I was given a number to phone, however I was spoken to by an American so I dread to think how much that call has cost me, and she was absolutely useless and said there was nothing she could do.
I was in another Orange shop today to ask for another number to contact and I was directed here, and that Blackberry should get back to me via this, or arrange to contact me.
She also told me that Blackberry have a two year warranty on their handsets, and I have had my phone for a year and three months.
I take really good care of my phone (I need to, I'm a student!) and I was wondering if someone from Blackberry can help me out, and let me know how I go about getting my mobile repaired/ replaced. I was told in store that repair/possibly even replacement should be free as it is within Blackberry's warranty and the issue is down to a technical fault in the phone, rather than it being broken because it has been damaged.
Hope someone can help me out because I cannot bare to live with this issue for much longer and really need it sorted!
Also, my phone keeps unpromtly switching itself off completely, not just switching itself off : rebooting each time so it takes FOREVER to come back on again. This has been happening really frequently over the last week aswell!

  • HELP : Is IMAP a pre-requisite for Blackberry Mails?

Hi all, I am a new Blackberry user and thoroughly satisfied with my experience so far. Setting up of my company e-mail was very fast. I was already using IMAP based e-mail in my earlier Symbian phone. In Blackberry I just entered my email id and that was it. I started getting the mails after 20 minutes onwards. However, as a recent company policy, they are stopping IMAP access of our corporate mail and shutting IMAP down. Blackberry is not supported in our corporate as an Enterprise Service also. My question is that once the IMAP is shut down, is there any other way I can access my Corporate mail? Otherwise my entire investment in Blackberry will go down the drain. Please help.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!
As long as your company faces your email, in some form, to the Internet (i.e., no VPN), then you should be able to integrate it into your BB via BIS. If, however, they remove it from facing the Internet, then there's nothing that can be done to pierce that firewall and provide you your email without BES. The key will be - if you can access your email from your PC "outside" on the Internet and without the benefit of VPN, then it is highly likely that BIS can be configured to push that email to your BB.
    Good luck!

  • I just got an Iphone 4 today - as did my daughter - we activated our phones which are both working but she is getting all my texts!  HELP!

My daughter and I both have phones - she a Blackberry and myself the IPHONE 3Gs - today we both got the IPHONE 4's  - all are activated and working but SHE is getting all my texts!  What can we do to stop this!

I assume those are iMessage texts - blue bubbles. That's because you have the same Apple ID, and you have set up iMessage to use your Apple ID. On each phone, go to Settings/Messages, scroll down to and tap on Send & Receive and choose either different email addresses or different phone numbers.
Alternatively, get separate Apple IDs. Otherwise all of your music and Apps will be duplicated also. See: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1495

  • Transfering cell phone info from my old blackberry that has a shattered screen and no service to my macbook pro using 10.6 SL

Ok some people just don't fit like the rest, and in this world I am fine with that! My situation is as the title reads I just entered, I have my old blackberry cell ph. screen is shattered and no service, it holds information and misc files I would like to be able to transfer to my macbook pro I own and currently am using 10.6 Snow Leapord. Is there anyone willing to give a round peg some square help that reads like ABC please? If a free app or like info exist that would be great, but what is most easy and painless would work, all of life's little charges will surly suck the sanity out of my sole way before the life is gone as it seems.
Thank you for the time and patience I am grateful more than at times I seem to be able to express being!
Phone is a Blackberry Perl************ (POS)*************** THE POS PART IS ONLY MY ADDED FEELINGS AT THE MOMENT PLEASE EXCUSE.

Ok the phone does get noticed and files come into a view that does allow me to see they exist, but I was thinking their must be an app or widget or WTEver they are allowing those files to be open.
Because what good is seeing a file exist that you cant view and open?
Maybe I worded my question wrong, I thought there is something a person would know of that allows the function of me connecting and reading the files to transfer and use?
Communication is such a fine line if the desired effect is understanding the whole process, like reading a file you know exist, because chances are human mental memory is not so good to completely recall its entire content.
I need this macbook to open blackberry phone files making them readable to be transferred like to a place I could recall phone numbers for future use?? ANY HELP THERE?
    Thanks a lot David Bro

  • My phone is not working because of a crash on my computer while a blackberry update

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I'm trying to parse through your post...lacking punctuation makes that a bit difficult. But I think I understand your situation. However, you failed to state exactly the method of update you were doing...it can be from the update website, from the Desktop Software without the OS package installed to your PC, or the Desktop Software with the OS package installed to your PC. Hopefully I will guess correctly in providing you with things that might help.
You should probably start with these two KBs:
KB10144 How to force the detection of the BlackBerry smartphone using Application Loader
KB27956 How to recover a BlackBerry smartphone from any state
Good luck and let us know!
