Help needed finding logical Firebird replacement.

A friend would like to buy my Firebird 803 but I am not sure what I can find that will replace it. I need something quiet and unobtrusive for the TV room with easy hookups. The Firebird right now is connected to the media system via 2 cables: HDMI and optical digital. Ideally, I would like something that would plug into the same 2 cables.
Anything that's big, requires a lot of wires or has lots of loud fans is not acceptable and will likely result to my gaming being relegated to the back room. I like gaming on the big screen by the fireplace.
Can anyone suggest something that will fit the bill?
Ideally, graphics benchmarks would be equivalent to the GTX 260, but anything in-between the Firebird and the 260 would be fine
Price < $3k if possible.
Is HP planning a second-gen Firebird?

The FIrebird is a fairly unique product.. in that it has the power to pull off most of the newer games with decent performance (when in SLI mode) while being very quiet.
I have a similar configuration - but with an 802. I keep it in a lower profile entertainment center, connected to 1080p LCD via HDMI. I keep it behind closed doors which makes the liquid cooling come in very handy.
You can certainly find PCs from HP that are more powerful with a slightly smaller case ID, but I don't think you'll find any as quiet. HP's main lilnes of new style of cases do a good job of removing heat and thus keeping the fan noise down. To me, if I had that kind of money to spend, I'd configure an e9280t from HP.shopping's Web site (or build my own)...
The graphics cards available come with 1 HDMI and 1 DVI (so you'd have to use an adapter). On the side... you'd have to throw in two cards to get SLI back (and really get some good performance).
Of course, Black Friday is coming up and there will probably be some new stuff coming out.
I don't think HP can comment unnofficially about new products... sorry. As you, I like my Firebird and would like to see a new product.

The above std. program displays for the whole financial year. This is modified for a particalar period range in the new leveraged program.
My question is in the below code.
We are fetching data using LDB ADA. The statement "GET anlcv" works fine here, I mean Sy-subrc is 0 and anlcv structure has some data in it.
When it comes to statement "GET anepv" in the below code, we are not getting any data into that structure and sy-subrc NE 0. Then it is skipping all the get statements and directly going to statement " PERFORM abga_simulieren.".
My logic lies in between this Get statement and the perform statement. When i see it in debugging mode my statement is not executed at all.
What needs to be done. Please anyone help me.

I bought a macbook in 2009 and urgently need a VGA adapter (female) but I don't have a mini display port! Help! I can't seem to find an adapters that suit macbooks before the mini dislay port was brought out.

Help needed finding tools or terminology

I'm looking for some tools to help me with some graphical layout needs,
Part of my problem is that all the keywords an phrases I can think of to fo a Google or forum search bring up too much that I don't want.
Any pointers to tools or terminology would be appreciated.
I have a couple of graphical layout needs.
One application needs to place 'widgets' of a few predefined types on a canvass, connect them with lines, set properties, and display them in different colors/apperance based upon their status. I'm sure everyone has encountered many applications which do this kind of thing. I even coded a couple in SWING myself. This time I hope someone has a toolkit which does all the basics and I can concentrate on my application needs.
A similar need is a layout manage which allows selection of 'widgets' of various types and placement on a tree or directed, acyclic graph according to a limited set of rules (e.g., you can add a leaf or a branch to a branch, but you cannot add a branch to a leaf).
A third variation allows construction of 'composit widgets' from a selection of basic widgets according to a set of rules (e.g., you can make a car using one engine, one body and 4 wheels).
Any ideas of tools that may help me?
Any suggestions of how/where to search to find any such tools?

This is not a problem really belonging to swing. What you need is algorithms. So post in the algorithm forum.
May it helps: MVC. You need the C and the M, swing will only be the V.
There are a lot of tools out in the net for deploying graphs, with definable nodes, nodeproperties, different graphtypes. Just look out for them (graph, graph-layout,etc.)

Can you help me find a FREE replacement for Comcast PWP that has FTP access?

So, here's how I use Comcast's PWP via FTP: First and foremost, I use FireFTP. I'd prefer to be able to keep using it. Ok, so I'm on Overclock.net and I enjoy providing tech support for anyone who needs it, when I can provide it. To that end, many of my replies to their threads are more like tutorials. So, this includes inserting screenshots into my post (not just the link, but inserting the whole image) and sometimes providing links to files that they need. In order to do that, I just upload the file (whether it's an image file or some kind of file that they need) in FireFTP, grab the URL, and use it. It's extremely easy and fast. How do I use the URL? If it's an image file, then I will just use the <img> tags (HTML code for those of you who aren't sure what I'm talking about). Overclock.net's post editor does have an 'Insert Image' button, but most of my screenshots are so big that they get resized, and I can't have that. Using the HTML code bypasses their auto-resizing "feature". If it's just a file, then I will simply paste the URL. Every now and then, I might choose instead to link some word or a phrase to a screenshot image file or the regular file that they need. It depends on what makes the most sense at the time. Like, sometimes I need to make a step-by-step list and sometimes I need a screenshot to be in one of those steps. So instead of trying to find a way to insert an image into one of the steps, I just link some text to the screenshot image file. This link needs to point to the image file (so, directly to the image), not a web page that has the image on it!! All options that I have personally looked at so far either cost money (I am not going to pay for simple file storage when I am using it like this LOL that would be stupid), or they don't provide an easy way AT ALL to obtain the absolute direct link to the file. Instead, they make you dig and dig and dig if you want that link, otherwise you're stuck with a link that points to a web page where the file download is located. Sigh. I hate that. I can't use that. Not for this type of use! I just want what I have now with Comcast's PWP via FireFTP. That's all. It's free, and I have fast downloads for my users, no file upload limit (I could upload a 1 GB file right now if I wanted to), and no expiration date on anything - including my account. I could go 6 months without any activity and still be able to use Comcast's PWP space via FireFTP. Most services seem to say that if you go inactive for more than 30 days, then your account is terminated. Most services also have a file upload limit of like 5 or 10 MB, and some of my files absolutely NEED to be much bigger than that from time to time because sometimes they are big setup files that the person needs that can't be found on the internet anymore - that I still have. Old ones. So, I also absolutely cannot have a limit on how big of a file I can upload - just as long as it doesn't exceed the storage space that's available to me, obviously. Like the 1 GB storage limit on Comcast's servers. So, can you help?

I don't know. So, I guess I'm still looking, but at least I have something just in case I don't find anything. heh I really hate having to delete "dl=0" and then type "raw=1" every single time though. So I'd still be much happier if I could find good free FTP hosting that provides at least a gigabyte per account, the ability to have more than one account (so that I could have more space, just like with Comcast), fast uploads, and nice fast downloads. Of course, no limit to how big the upload is and no expiration date on my files or no required activity (the ability to be inactive for however long I want). I guess I'm dreaming. heh

Help needed finding uncaught exception in amended SQLBooks sample

Hi all
I've been playing with the SQLBooks example and now I've got a an uncaught exception error coming up when I try press the + (add) button on the main screen.
I've changed the DB that I'm using and have created my own equivalent classes for the book object.
The app compiles with no errors or warnings and the main screen loads up (no data showing as my DB is empty).
I hit the + button to add a new 'book' and the cellForRowAtIndexPath method runs no problem (I've stepped through that) but after this there isn't anything else for me to step into and the simulator returns to the code with something about an UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION. I'm new to xcode and mac development so don't have the knowledge to debug past what I've done.
Any suggestions on where I can start?

If you haven't noticed it, the other person who responded to your message is correct. However, the log is a little confusing and it can be difficult to sort the messages in the log into categories. You may want to type the name of your application into the search box to narrow things down a bit. Do that and then run your application and you'll see only the messages sent by it (and not by Xcode).
If you notice the stack trace in your code (it's a couple of lines long so it's tough to miss), you'll probably find the more informative message a few lines above.

Help needed in logic problem

I am trying to implement one marketing application, where the goods will be dispatched via some transportation. The receipt name is lr number or lrno. Some times for same lr no., 2-3 goods will be dispatched. Now, I am developing one application, if an user selects the from and to date from the web page, the web page should display all the lrno. Form date to to-date, its destination place and total amount, etc. These values are coming from backend.
Eg.
Trname Lrno dt amt
BLR LR300 1/2/05 1000
MUM LR400 1/2/05 2000
MUM LR400 1/2/05 100
MUM LR400 1/2/05 200
DL LR600 3/2/05 1000
My problem is if there are 2-3 goods for same lrno, the amounts should add up and final amount should come. Only in one record.(in one row). In the above example, for MUM 3 rows are there. So, the trname, lrno, dt shuld be same , but the total amount of all the three records should be added up and display.
Expected output
BLR LR300 1/2/05 1000 as it is displayed
MUM LR400 1/2/05 2300// it should display like this.
DL LR600 3/2/05 1000 // as it displayed.
My output as follows: I cold add the amount, but, each time, the record is displayed. Like this

Ok, Im usually better at this. I meant to bookmark or at least copy and save the information provided in I believe it was a FAQ! someone had wrote up on sending MMS to different providers from the iPhone.

In the Find field of the Find and Replace dialog box, enter this:

In the Replace field, enter this:
$1$2
Select the "Use regular expression" checkbox.
Explanation:
The two sets of parentheses are capturing groups, which capture the actual values as $1 and $2.
The \s* matches zero or more spaces.
\" matches a double quote.
\/ matches a forward slash.
\? matches a question mark
\d+ matches one or more numbers.

Need help in finding a font for a logo

I was looking for help in finding a font for my logo. I'm not a designer at all, so I'm calling on all the fine designers and folks on the Adobe site to help me out. All replies are, of course, appreciated and any suggestions/comments/ideas will be welcome.
I'm designing a logo for my film company. I wanted to keep it simple but not boring either. I put together the first draft of the logo using Photoshop CS3 and used Trajan Pro for the film company words (Panthera Films) and used Futura for the slogan ("Inspiration through Imagination"). While I don't mind the fonts, it's simple but, alas, too boring. I love the panther image but need a dynamic font for "Panthera Films" and a complimenting font for the slogan.
Can anyone recommend a good combination of fonts to replace the Trajan Pro and Futura? As well, I want to give the logo a nice presence without it being too loud, bold or jumping off the page. As well, should the font for "Films" be the same as "Panthera" or can they be different?
The image I attached is something I was thinking to use as a banner on a website.
Any help would be appreciated too with this

As I said, I like it too.
You may consider making it a bit heavier, maybe bold, for readability at small sizes.
It is hard to recommend a specific font because it should represent your company and what it stands for. Have you tried typing the name in a word processing application (Worst or something better) and then running through all the font you have? If not, that might give you a few new thoughts about the overall kind of font you feel is the right one. And then it is much easier to recommend something.

My requirement is:
I should get all the patterns that are followed by 'S'.
Example: for the above given data the patterns and counts are
SS - count is 3
SP - count is 2
SB - count is 1
SS - count is 1
There is one more condition for the above requirement:
If 'S' is followed by 'A', then 'SA' should not be considered as a pattern. The pattern should stretch until a non 'A' character is found.
Consider sample data for the above case:
"S-S-A-S-S-A-A-C-S-P-S-A"
for the above given data the patterns and counts are
SS - count is 2
SP - count is 1
SAS - count is 1
SAAC - count is 1
The data column is stored as VARCHAR2 type.
