Help NEEDED!! WSVR4400N VPN & QuickVPN setup

I have the 4400n router. I want to connect to my office using the VPN & QuickVPN setup. Office: Small Biz server 2003 set to a "workgroup" network setup only. WSVR4400N router and Comcast internet Router: I setup the VPN Client Name and password. It is active. Home computer or laptop from work: I downloaded the latest QuickVPN software. Put in info and logged in. Results: Enter required info & connect. It starts but hangs at "Verifying Network". No connection is ever made. The office router states I am "online" but I can't do anything and the box at the lower right has a red line thru it. No port forwarding setup. I have tried setting the port forwarding to the server and to the router as well with no luck. What the heck do I do??? Thanks in advance. Chris

Do you have two routers? You wrote something about a comcast router. Can you please describe the exact setup of the routers you have, starting from the modem including the IP addresses. In particular: does the WRVS have a public IP address?
Moreover, please check the log on the WRVS. It should contain information about VPN connection attempts.
Which port forwardings did you try exactly?
Did you have the "online" status without any port forwardings?
It would definitively help to know whether it works while the client is not behind a router, i.e. the client computer has a public IP address. NAT is a killer for IPSec. IPSec makes sure IP packet are not modified. NAT must modify packets.

  • Urgent Help Needed for WVC210 camera setup :)

    Please help!  I am trying to set up a Cisco WVC210 surveilance camera at one of the stores owned by the company I work for.  Its a small business and I am the closest they have to an I.T person !! I have plenty of experience with software but not much on networking so need some idiot proof guidance !   The "administrative guide" is not worth the paper it is printed on!!
    The store has a fixed IP address of 212.9.##.### I connected the camera using ethernet cable.  Set the camera up using the software for the camera, with static ip address of 192.168.0.23.  Set the SSID of the camera to that of the router (a Netgear one).  It worked fine.  I went to unplug so I could have it wireless and NOTHING !!  It did work one time (no idea what i did differently!) but it would not work over the internet which is what we need it to do!  I need the whole thing password protected too! 
    Is there ANYONE who can help me please???  I am at the point of running away from my work and never returning !!!! :s

    Thank you for posting. In order to make the camera connect wirelessly, first set up the wireless settings in the camera to match the router. I usually open the router configuration page and copy and paste the SSID and Security Passphrase to the camera to avoid error. The next step is to unplug the ethernet cable and power cord from the camera. Then plug only the power back in and the camera should connect wirelessly.
    For remote access to the camera you will need to forward port 80 to the LAN IP address of the camera. (192.168.0.23) This is done in the router. If you need help with port forwarding, you can search the web or call Netgear for assistance.

  • Help needed- newbie trying to setup xerces XML pasrer

    I am new to Java and XML.
    I am trying to write a simple java program that will use the xerces parser and will read the XML file.
    I have installed xerces 2.8.0 and put in on a specific location on my hard drive.
    I also added the xercesImpl.jar file to the CLASSPATH variable.
    I am trying to compile this code:

    to import?Well, yeah. Your code shows you already know how to use the "import" statement. The compiler says it can't find SAXParser, and you correctly suspect that you need to import something. So the logical step: you need to import SAXParser.
    But you don't know what package it's in, right? Well let me just look it up in the API documentation for you... here it is... javax.xml.parsers.SAXParser. Take note of the existence of documentation for the next time you have this sort of question.

  • Real Time Help Needed: Disk Warrior and Setup Assistant

    My system disk crashed a couple of days ago. I installed a clean system on a firewire attached disk and ran Disk Warrior against the failed drive. DW says the disk is too damaged to replace the directory structure. So, I'm in the process of copying over files that it was able to provide access to via the Preview disk. However, I'm wondering whether I can run setup assistant against the Disk Warrior Preview disk to get back the content of the keychain? I had a lot of passwords stored and don't have a backup.
    Anybody offer any help?

    Actually, I just remember another step that probably has something to do with this.
    The directory entries for ~/Library/Mail and the individual mailboxes were corrupt, so Disk Warrior recovered the contents and put them in two arbitrarily named folders. I copied the contents of the Library/Mail folder into the new system's Library/Mail folder. However, I wasn't sure where to put the mailboxes. I looked on my other Mac system and it had a Mailboxes folder inside the Library/Mail folder, so I created new folder called Mailboxes and copied the recovered mailboxes into the new folder.
    Another point that's probably related. The MessageRules.plist file exists in the Library/Mail folder, but the I don't see the rules when I open Mail.app. It looks like Mail.app isn't seeing the contents of Library/Mail.
    Any thoughts?

    He holds an MBA degree specialised in systems and has worked in software companies supporting software projects and the functions(like HR,Procurement in the same setup) as a software quality guy.
    Moreover the modules mentioned by you requires engineering background with manufacturing exposure.
    He had enquired for the course at siemens and they said that he may not be suitable for any of the modules offered by them as per the above reasons.They also mentioned that they have to check with SAP Labs for expert opinion.

    I am doing a degree project, so far it works fine in my local machine, I need to try it on my virtual hosting (as it is a live server).
    My project requires JDBCRealm, that is BASIC authentication loading access data from mysql database. Normally this setup can be done in Server.xml file, because my Tomcat hosting is a virtual one, I only have permission to access the web.xml file.
    My question is: is it possible to get it done in an alternative way? In web.xml? Some properties file maybe?

    You can set this up for your context using META-INF/context.xml instead of working with server.xml.
    Make a directory called META-INF under your webapp ( it'll be at the same level as WEB-INF ). Under this, add a context.xml with all your context specific configuration including the realm. A sample is below

    I had completed a Java Web based application using JApplet, which in turn uses Java Media Framework and Java Communications APIs. So when i deploy this application and let the clients use this application. I need to dump some jar files and properties files into the clients JRE so that all the APIs will work properly. Without any installations. I tried doing this manually by copying these files into client machines So is there a direct method for performing the task. Or i need to add some additional code to my applet so as to find the clients current JRE version and place the required files under using FTP? Can i write a setup routine or something which does all these operations once the client access the applet?

    What you will want to do is look into JNLP and Java WebStart. They allow you to write a setup for your product that makes installation as easy as InstallShield&trade; does for the Windows&trade; platform (ie: it allows customers who cannot tell Java from Perl to install your product).

    I have been assigned some work for a program called Processing 1.0 availale at http://processing.org/download
    I was give the 9 individual programs I needed to make however they were converted to Java files from .pde files. The program is based on Java but only runs .pde files and NOTHING else!
    I decompiled the files and got the source code, but it is a slight variation of the original someone made in processing, and needs some tidying to get it to run.

    Help needed in setting up Japanese Database.
    I created database with UTF8 character set on Sun Solaris O/S.
    Oracle version 8.1.7.
    I am accessing the DB through SQL*Plus (Windows client).
    I downloaded the Japanese font on client side and also set the NLS_LANG environment variable to Japanese_Japan.UTF8. Still, I am not able to view Japanese characters. O/S on client side is Windows 2000 professional (English). Is O/S (client) need to be Japanese O/S? When I try to retrieve sysdate, its displaying in Japanese but not all characters in Japanese. Can anyone help me out how to set up the client and is there any parameters to be setup at server side? I also tried to insert japanese characters into table through client, but it displaying as "?????" characters. Any help in this regard is appreciated.

    do you know what accept does? if not read below.
    serversocket.accept() is where java stops and waits for a (client)socket to connect to it.
    only after a socket has connected wil the program continue.
    try putting the accept() in its own little thread and let it wait there while your program continues in another thread

  • Windows 8.1 VPN Server Setup - No Network softwaare to choose

    Hi Everyone
    Windows 8.1
    Setting up an incoming VPN Server.
    When I try to create a New Incoming Connection via  Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings > Alt - F > New Incoming Connection.
    The wizard appears so  I check the User Account > Next  > Check Through the Internet > Next  bringing up the Allow connections to this computer window where I should be able select Networking software to be enabled and then go on
    to click Allow Access button.   The networking software to highlight window is blank.  Using the Install... button below this window brings up the Select Network Feature Type window where I can highlight a feature (Client, Service or Protocol)
    and click Add button .  It returns to the Allow connections window which has not changed and nothing is added.  Still blank.
    How do I get the network software to be there to select?
    I have done this on other machines and had no problems at all.  It worked the way it should. 
    After I did an image and reset operating system, the VPN Server Setup worked as it should.  Restored image as it is way to much work to rebuild the machine. So any ideas?
    Any and all help will be appreciated.

    Did you mean you have solved this problem by resetting Windows?
    Regarding to current information, this issue can be caused by port settings or corrupted Windows components.
    Please check if the VPN port 1723 has been set as allowed in both your Firewall and router settings pages.
    Also, we may fix such issue by running following repair command:

  • UCCX Conferencing in third call? Scripting help needed

    All,
    I've got a customer requirement where they want to be able to place a call into the contact centre, give the contact centre the digits to dial and have the contact centre place the call on their behalf.  I've got no trouble with that bit.
    The next requirement is that the call placed is recorded, even if the calls in are not from cisco phones (i.e. mobiles).  We have a redbox recorder that does the recording and in order for it to commence a recording session, it needs to see a setup message through CM to check that it's an extension that is to be recorded.
    For example, I use an IP phone that IS being monitored to make a call.  The Redbox sees the setup and will record the call flow.
    I use an IP phone that is NOT being monitored to make a call.  The Redbox sees the setup and will not record the call.
    In order to get calls recorded from the contact centre, I'm thinking of conferencing in a third phone that Redbox is set to record and have it auto answer on silent, but I can't figure out how to get the three calls conferenced together to keep the call flow recorded.
    Any thoughts on how to achieve this?  Or has anyone else out there used another method?

    There is no mechanism within CCX that allows you to initiate a conference or join two contacts together. Your only options will be to transfer the triggerin
    g contact to another destination with a Call Redirect or Call Consult Transfer.  If you create a second contact and use a Place Call step, you can interact with both contacts in the script but never join them together.

    Unfortunately this is very difficult because the top half of your post, your really the only one that can answer what the setup should be.  The adjustments are made based on the acoustics of your room and how everything sounds noone can really give you info on it because every house, and room has different acoustics.  The walls, insulation, carpet or bare floors, basement or main floor are just some examples of what can make a difference in sound reproduction.   By the way NHT (Now Hear This) are excellent speakers.  For bass and treble, the music I listen too requires a high treble content so I usually have it at 7 out of 10 but my bass is at 4 out of 10.   The sub base should be fine where it is.
    Did your receiver come with an Audessy mic for calibration.  I would use that for a basic setup and go from there I am not sure if on your unit it will do frequecy but I think it did.
    Your volume settings look fine again personal preference there is right or wrong.
    For you listening mode Preset  you should have an auto setting I am at work so it may take a coule of hours for me to get back to you as I have to go through your manual and see what you would set it up with so please bare with me. I will list the info as I read it so it may not be in the order you have it.

  • LIS help needed

    Hi Guys
    I am fairly new to SD and am looking for some help regarding LIS
    I have setup a sales process which uses Inquiries > Quotation > Sales Order > Delivery Process. The Process is running fine.
    However when I am trying to get some basic reports using the Standard Analyses for customer / material I am getting the message "No Data Exists for Chosen Selection"
    Looking through the forums i tried to use the LIS Check utility from IMG and executed it for Infostructure S016 :SIS sales activities and it gives me an error in Check units "No DDIC information for source field MCEKPO"
    Please tell me what I need to do. I am using ECC 6.0 and there is no BIW system connected to SAP system. Therefore we have to generate reports using Standard ABAP queries.
    Any help is welcome. Will definitely award points to all helpful answers

               You assign the customer status group in customer mater record in the sales tab as 1,and to the material status group in material master record in the sales org2 as 1,so by this we are making the customer and material relevent for the statastics
                Then go to T.code OVRP AND OVRO  and assign to sales area
                        Now u create the orders for the materials and customers and use the standard reports in the SIS ,it works out

    Thanks for responding.
    I am aware of these option and right now I am using the standard analyses (MCTA, MCTC etc.).
    My query is what do I have to do to set up reporting using the standard SAP Analyses. I am able to do my sales transactions but am not able to see them in the analysis.
    Problem was resolved... got the response on another channel.. thanks everyone..
