Help! New 5th gen problem with Software version 1.2.3!

Just when you thought you havn't heard about enough problems with the new ipod software here comes a weird one. My Ipod still plays songs and the usual stuff. But the timer at the bottom of the screen that tells you how far you are into the song gets off track, slows down, and eventually starts ticking 3 seconds per 1 real second. And ill start hereing glitches and pauses in the music. And its every song it happens. Thanks for the help!

I had the same problem. I upgraded my 30G to 1.2.2, and everything looked fine. However, when I disconnected my iPod there were no music or video files showing. But the hard drive space showing as Available under Settings>About>Available indicates that the hard rive space for my muic and videos is still being used. I read a lot of posts about 1.2.2 problems and 7.5 upgrade for iTunes being the fix. I would go to the Help tab in iTunes and tell it to check for upgrade, and it would tell me that 7.5 was avialable. I would click yes to download but nothing happened. I tried this many times, with my iPod connected, not connected, rebooting, etc, it was enough to go insane.
Here is how I solved it. I went to: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
and downloaded the entire iTunes 7.5 instead of the upgrade. After it installed itself, I rebooted, opened iTunes, and connected my iPod, it synced and now it is back to normal. Beware, if you try resetting your iPod, it warns that it will erase the contents of your iPod hard drive.
I have windows XP, hp laptop, and a 5th gen 30G.

I have an N86 8MP with the Virgin network in the uk, I want to use the free sat nav functions but it says i need software version 21.x or better, so i went to the page where i can check the latest software version for my phone and this says that the latest version is 30.x, yet when i go to the page where i can check the latest version for my phone it shows the latest version is 20.115 which is the version i have installed why is this and how can i get the latest software so i can use the free sat nav with the maps on the phone

Nothing that you have/haven't done has affected this issue. Unfortunately N86 8MP had a pretty short production run by Nokia standards for some reason, probably got left behind by pace of development or production cost so there is unlikely to be much incentive to support it by either Nokia or network providers.

The hard reboot is intended when the device is no longer responding, like a force quit. It will not do more than restarting which should be try before.
As for your statement to not restore from backup to solve the issue described, have you reference for this? Has this work for you? Because I have read other post saying otherwise (tthis haven't solve the issue with the App Store for many). Choosing this option may be really an hard decision as you would loose all settings and need to reset all you sync settings which may be time consuming depending on how much data you have.
Personally, for what I read so far, I'll wait until a first update release to see if most bugs are addressed before putting away my actual backup.

Just got my IPOD 30 5th Gen Problem with adds to IPOD

When I add music CD to IPOD I get duplicate names..ie. Queen (2 disc set) add disc 1 ok then disc 2 but in iTUNES it shows duplicate song titles under Queen.. when u play each they are diff songs?
Also I get the question mark in the far left column.. when u click it to play nothing happens..If I add the song a second time the question mark is gone and song plays?

Are you importing the CD through iTunes? Are you letting iTunes name the tracks? Are the duplicates showing up in iTunes too, or just on the iPod. You have to get them into your iTunes library the way you want them or they won't transfer on the iPod the right way.

You can add songs to the iPod manually by dragging them or by letting iTunes automatically add them, depending on the preferences you have set.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer

What exactly are you finding so disgusting in iTunes 9? I have yet to find anything repugnant.
If you want to keep iTunes 8 I would suggest you buy a refurbished 4th Generation from the online iTunes Store and cancel your order for the 5th Generation.

Actually when LR 5 starts for the first time after it is installed it will have a dialog to Buy, Try or Enter a serial number. You select Enter a serial number and enter the LR 5 serial number first and then because it is an upgrade serial number it will ask for the serial number of a Previous version. You then enter the LR 1 serial number.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

If you go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices you can see if you have an iTunes backup. You need one dated before or the exact time you started the restore.

I would recommend that you download and install the excellent and Free "VLCPlayer for Mac", which reads many more types of files for video than Quicktime Player:

You might be able to depending on the age of the disc and the model of your newer used iMac. Only way to tell is to pop in the DVD and see if you can install the iLife programs.

Problems with Italian version of Dreamweaver [subject edited by moderator]

The italian version of this software doesn't match with the configurations in the tutorials and it's impossible to follow the procedure to learn how to use it!! I've spent more than two hours just to put the "split working area" in vertical with no results. No way to open the same tools. And then, where are the assets files to download??? I think it could be a wonderful idea give us something easier to learn, simply having giving us the right correspondence between the software (open for the first time after the download) and the video tutorials…please, in this condition I cannot work and so how can I do?

unfortunately I can't go on with this program…it's impossible without the CSS file showed on the tutorial…I've also tried to find something on the web and I've tried to install Adobe Widget Browser but it doesn't work!
So I've lost a lot of hours and I'm very frustrated and disappointed…and then the Dreamweaver CC version I've downloaded from Creative Cloud is different from the one in the tutorials, so I can follow all the indications without stop and start searching somewhere the things…
In this condition it's impossible to learn how to use this software…it's an incredible waste of time…and paying for that!!
