Nokia 5630 problems?

Well, I have been thinking about getting a Nokia 5630 (Xpressmusic) but I have heard that there has been plenty of troubles with this model, and was wondering if there are any 5630-owners out there who knows if these problems have been fixed?
For example I've heard that the phone shuts down while listening to music (no matter if it's mp3-files or radio, and the radio does seem to be kind of bad, from what I've gathered) which is obviously not something that should be in a mobile phone that actually is advertised as a music phone...
I was also wondering aboutthe quality of the pictures with the 5630:s built-in camera,are thy decent enough for taking photographs indoors especially? (Would be very nice if someone has taken some photographs indoors that one could see the quality of them, I have already seen some on the Internet, but there would be nice with some more)

All i can say is.. this phone is really creepy.. it suddenly hangs, turns off, has this "standby theme error" tingy going on, also the dreaded memory full error and my phone memory and memory card has so much free space!!!!! then another creepything is the theme suddenly changes sometimes, my 5630 is the silver color on the sides color (not the red or teal or whatever) the theme changes to a sky blue theme that doesn't exist in the phone, sometimes i can't open applications while in this "sky blue wierd theme" I bought this phone at around last week of October 2009.. then around mid November 2009 it started to do al those problems.... i sent it to Nokia Care in our lcal city.. then i got it back by the end of November. Then it stared acting up again, so i sent it to Nokia Care complaining with the same problems. They told me they have to send it to their Nokia Care Head Office for a swap board.. so i waited almost a month. I got it back by first week of January 2010, the phone worked great for 1 month, no errors, no hangs. I noticed they updated the firmware to 013.009 version that wasn't officially released yet (i think.BUT... when February 2010 came.. it started to do all the same errors again.. and worse.. when i tried my camera it hanged and auto-restarts.... i sent it to nokia care again and they reformated it then after i got my hands on it and turned it on as i walked away from nokia care.. it hanged and restarted again.. so there i go back to Nokia Care again.. they sent it to their Head Office again then got it back after a week i think.. and sill it has the same stuff.. i didn't bother to send it to Nokia Care again coz i think Nokia hasn't found a solution for the problems this unit has... Well.. That's my story.. i'm just txting and calling on the hpone.. not using the Camera, FM Radio, Removed Memory Card, No Music, etc.. just txting and calling.. and it still hangs sometimes and all those errors.. i'm lucky it seldom does the sky blue theme stuff anymore... NOKIA.. This is a scary phone (-__-)\ I hope they come up with a stable firmware for this phone...

Help - Nokia N96 Problems

I hope someone can help me out here.
I have had the Nokia N96 as part of an 18 month contract on O2 UK since April and ever since i've had the phone, I've had nothing but problems with it and i'm really am up to the point where I'm so fed up with it, I'm taking my other phone on PAYG with me everywhere I go.
I find the N96 is extremely slow at loading up messages, it's sometimes slow at keeping up with your texting, it has 3 times this year deleted every message in inbox, drafts & sent after the phone has been switched off. It's also restarted itself on a number of occassions.
Today, my phone went flat because I hadn't charged it up and so when I got home, I put it on charge and turned the phone on so I could check my messages. The annoying thing is, the home screen wouldn't load up the icons or the text for 'Messaging' and 'BBC iPlayer' so I went to the menu (as you would) and selected 'Messaging'.
"Messaging: Already in use" is the error I get. Clearly, it's not in use, so I took the phone off charge, removed battery etc etc. Still same problem, done a firmware update, still same problem, reset the phone, still the same problem.
I can not find a solution for this, really in a foul mood because of this as I am unable to send messages or view messages on my phone.

With all these operations I recommend you TAKE OUT MEMORY CARD and DO A BACK UP OF YOUR STUFF!!!
NOTE: In front of the hash key ( #) there is also a STAR key that people often miss and state that the code does not work.
1.. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data) Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list. The default code for ALL operations listed here is 12345.
2.*#7370# - Reformat your phone (out of the box, tho keep in mind that most newer nokia phones at least n series, e series and s60 based phones have udp - user data preservation so not ALL data may be lost. still it is a good idea to always do a back up of your stuff.)3. This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working.If the phone is not showing any activity, proceed with hard formatting , turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
3. hard reset - hold the following buttons * (star key), 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons ( for Nokia 5800XM - use the following buttons to do a hard reset, /GREEN/RED/CAMERA keys pressed all at once on power up. this will only work on 5800's that have firmware version 20... and up. ) For Nokia N97 (unofficial version but works) is SHIFT /SPACE BAR / BACKSPACE while holding the power button. Again do not let go until you see the handshake screen.
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service for assistance.

Okay so basically here is the problems.
first...when i bluetooth songs across from my pc to my nokia x6 (16gb) it keeps it in the inbox and wont show up in the gallery
secondly, when i try to use songs that ive downloaded from nokia ovi music it wont let me use them as ringtones saying its a protected file
please can you help me

both are not problems when you get files by bluetooth save them now you need to refresh music player then they will be in gallery

i updated my nokia n8 from anna to belle refresh (i know too late) and after restarting the phone and finishing the update the phone keeps freezing and restarting. when i take the sim card out it works, but when i put it back it keeps freezing and restarting. i tried hard reset (3 buttons) and the resetted the phone but it still freezes and restarts often... i took it to nokia care and they said they will not fix it for me because i bought it from outside the country and doesnt have any warranty in here, i told them iam willing to pay but they insisted they will not fix it because i bought it from outside (i live in jordan and i bought this phone from dubai)
any suggestions? please?

i have had a problem in my phone 5630 my phone was going to be restarting again and again then i apply hard Reset to it by Pressing *, 3 and Green button it has done smoothly but know when i see in my phone menu the INTERNET folder has not "FACEBOOK AND HI5" APPLICATIONS in my 5630 and also some other applications are not found in my phone which comes with Nokia 5630.
Please tell me how can i get them back into my phone....

after you've hard reset your device, all your personal datas including all your apps will be deleted. The only way to get it back is just by downloading it from the internet egvi.

Hi! Same problem with mine.... I read somewhere that fw upgrade elliminates it, but my microUSB port on the phone isn't working, so it's impossible to update for me. Wanted to try via FOTA, but it keeps asking for server profiles. Could you send me those please? It'd be very important. Anyway, what fw are you running? mine is 012.020, and I think there is 13.xx or sth abailable

When I connect to a WLAN network it connects but when I start browsing it says: Web: No gateway reply
My home Wi-Fi is Thomson Gateway TG782...
Can someone tell me what seems to be the problem and how to repare it?
P.S. Have in mind that I'm using Nokia 5630 XpressMusic not the N series....

You have to tell some more about the settings. Is the SSID visible? Are you using a WPA-PSK key? Is the firmware of your AP up-to-date? Are you using MAC filtering? Try to reset the AP.

Nokia 5630 - wifi and connection problems + some s...

Hi guys,
I'm experiencing strange behavior in my Nokia 5630. When i got it i added 3 wifi points without a problem to "Internet destinations". But recently, whenever i try to add an wifi access point, it puts it into the "Uncategorised destinations". And i cannot move it to other folder (i select move, and choose Internet, but it throws me out to main menu). Because of this i cannot use new wifi on applications which check the "Internet destinations" for available wifis.
And few unrelated questions:
- has anyone had experience with NCP VPN client for symbian?
- is there a application like SmartConnect for this phone? I think SmartConnect is only for N and E series?

It is known problem with VPN Access Point on S60 5th phones.
You may contact NCP VPN developers and see if they may offer some solution.
Alternatively you may have a look at another VPN client for S60 3rd/5th. It is not IPsec VPN like NCP, this is PPTP VPN Client - SymVPN for S60 3rd and 5th Edition phones.
This software is also placing created VPN Access Point into "Uncategorized Destinations", but you can move this Access Point to any needed Destination and therefore you can use it with another software on your phone .

Usb connection problem, Nokia 5630

When i connect my 5630 XPress music phone via PC Suite, a ballon connfirms that Nokia 5630 connected. But whenever i try to install application or do any other work via PC suite , it gives an error saying that connection to the phone lost.
Moreover, when i plug usb to ma computer and to my phone, computer finds a hardware named " MTP", computer tries to install it but gives an error saying that a problem occured during hardware installation and it might not work properly

Im using WIn XP SP2
First off all, update your OS to XP SP3. Uninstall PCSuite and all other Nokia related software. Clean the registry and restart the PC. Install the latest version of PCSuite and connect the 5630 when you're asked. Don't use any USB hubs and make sure the firewall and antivirus accept the connection.

Any 3rd party armband suitable for Nokia 5630?

Hi,
I've been thinking about getting a Nokia 5630 Comes With Music, but there's one thing that has been stopping me.
Isn't it little odd that this phone is targeted to music lovers, but there are no official armbands (for sports and jogging)? This is kind of a deal breaker to me, as I would love to listen to music whilst jogging.
I couldn't even find any 3rd party armbands, and with those there's always the risk that the phone doesn't fit snuggly (annoying when jogging and the phone keeps moving).
Please help me get rid of my money by recommending something to solve this problem :')

Please help me with my problem. It's been two days and my Nokia 5630 won't send any messages. I can receive messages. i can also call and receive calls. I have checked the messaging center settings and my network provider says that there is no problem with my settings. Then how do I solve this problem? I've seen posts, mostly people have just asked to change the messaging center. It hasn't worked for me. Please help.

use a PC to update it so you will have a good backup.
Manual device OS upgrade instructions:
1. First locate your carrier and the OS file you wish to use.

5. This step is not needed unless there is an issue on next steps. Use BBSAK from BBSAK.org and wipe the device (after doing a complete backup) then after you get the error 507 (no OS installed) then proceed to step 6
6. remove internet connection to PC and reboot PC.
7. Plug in BlackBerry and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file was in.

Nokia 5630 XpressMusic

I want to get a Nokia 5630 XpressMusic in china but heard that the specs in china are slightly different from other countries so that 3G and 2G and Ovi Maps wouldn't work if I go to another country such as Australia. Will it be a problem?
I Know that the phone is a global roaming phone, will that help?

The boxed pair of earphones won’t wow you with unsurpassed quality either. sound gets displeasingly sharp if you turn the volume up or switch on the equalizer. It’s good that sound quality gets substantially better the minute you plug in a pair of decent headphones, so you may come to want to make good use of the 3.5 mm jack indeed.
your other alternative phone with good music thats loud is the nokia 5800 which runs on s60
there is no application available to my knowledge to make the volume louder.
