Help on events with MAS

Hi,
I'm working with charts and need to do some amount of coding to capture events and display the chart in the tile. I was able to display the chart in MSY. I now need to display it in a specific Business Component in Mobile Sales App using Mobile App Studio.
I would like to know if there is any document (or) CHM (or) any other material that details the various events / methods that are associated with the existing Tiles / Tile sets that are available in MAS.

There are a set of events provided by SAP(Tcode-FQEVENTS or spro menu path Financial Accounting->Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable->Program Enhancements->Define Customer-Specific Function Modules) which help in enhancing the flow of processes in the relevant places to incorporate additional checks and additional activities with in standard programs.
Each event contains a function module which can be enhanced with user specific activities to include your own logic.
Search for the event of your specific need by filtering using search terms, read the documentation of the respective events and by using a breakpoint in the function module check is it the right event for you to include your own logic. Copy the function module and make a Z of the same.
You need to make an entry of the respective Z function module as installation specific function module in the table:V_TFKFBC

IPhoto 11 and one event with 15,000+ photos - help

I am new to Mac, this is my first, but long time PC users (28 years)... so it is a learning curve. My photos were/are on an external hard drive, (due to last computer failure) and undamaged.
I only got my iMac 27 i5 on Friday, and have been importing them. The first time the programme ran - I probably foolishly imported a year's photos in one go (I have since realised the error after it froze).... and when I finally got out of the mess, I discovered I have one event with over 15,000 photographs in.
I have since been importing all my others folder by folder, as opposed to year by year - they go back to 1998.... so a lot in total.
My questions -
1 I have now discovered how to split the events, but it is so time consuming, with so many photos, is there by any chance an easier way.
and whilst I am posting perhaps someone knows how to get around this as well:
2 In Faces, I have gone through - so far - over 5,000 and written in names, but it isn't really very good at recognition, and I wonder whether it is worth carrying on with it - it shows only 2 pictures at a time, go to full screen and all it shows is around 8 - is there any way I can get a load up in one go of the 'same person' - or the computer thinks is the same, and do them in a batch

I deleted the images of 15k+ and then set about sorting out the duplicates, triplicates and quadruplet folders it seems to have created.... took me ages, and I finally did that.
I had also purchased the Duplicate Annihilator as recommended in another similar thread, but that was going to take almost 4 days, hence I decided that I didn't have time for that to sort it out anyway, so I have done it myself this morning.
I was then asked to rebuild the database, so I set that going at just before 1300 (just over 2 hours ago), I came up from lunch and it was showing 97%.... and 80 mins it is still 97%
I am checking the activity monitor and it shows that it seems to be doing something, ie the nmber of threads stays at 26 but the %CPU keeps chaning, from 101.6 to 101.7 - so is it actually doing anything....iphoto has a black sectin with the circle thing going around in the centre....nothing else showing on the screen... actually watching it for the last minute or so and nothing is happening ... so is it working....
What should I do...
TBH I thought this would all be straightforward, and beginning to regret my choice of computer.... all I can say is it looks great, but isn't working as it should....
On top of that Time Machine has also now told me I need to start a new back-up but no idea where to find start a new back-up.... googling, and using spotlight hasn't brought up the answer yet

Is there a way to delete all events with the same title (not added as reoccurring) without deleting one at a time?

i currently have a calendar synced that has events scheduled in perpetuity, scheduled as individual events. I would like to delete all events with the same title. I do not want to delete the entire calendar nor do I want to go into every event and delete individually. These were not scheduled by me so I do not know how they were added one by one and go on forever but they are NOT scheduled as reoccurring and thus must be modified individually.
I can do a search and find all events, is there a way to just delete all events with the same title all at once?
this is a Microsoft outlook synced calendar and I am seemingly unable to delete the events all at one time from Microsoft as well.

If you still have access to the Outlook calendar in Outlook, I would delete them from there. There are a number of ways to do that, but if you open the individual event in Outlook, does it show a repeating pattern? If not, then you may have to delete them individually, but that is not that difficult either. Go into the calendar and then change the view to a list view. From there you can sort the view according to subject. This should bring all of these same appointments together in the list and you can select the group in Outlook and delete them. Once you do that, you can change your view back and then sync the phone. That will remove the events from the phone.

How to move Projects and Events with iPhoto video included in iMovie '11?

I work with a group of educators using iPads for video. One method for getting their clips into iMovie '11 is via iPhoto and then using the iPhoto Video link in iMovie to get the footage on a timeline (trying to import directly into iMovie '11, using the iPad as a "camera", has proved inconsistent, especially with footage from iStopMotion or Filmic Pro 1 and 2).
The problem is, when it comes time to copy or move an event and project, the iPhoto clips don't come along; they are dependent on the iPhoto library, so you can't continue editing on a different machine. I tried File > Consolidate Media, but it was inactive (in my test project, all clips came from iPhoto). If I look at Reveal in Browser, it goes to the bowels of the iPhoto library. If I copy the project to another drive, it too, points to the iPhoto library (if I'm on the same machine; otherwise it doesn't see it). I also tried optimizing the footage in the hope that it would create an Event with optimized clips that I could then transfer.
Am I missing something? It seems nuts that you can't transfer work to another machine without manually picking through the bowels of iPhoto. These days, lots of shooting is done on iPads and iPhones. Any help would be appreciated.

My suggestion would be that in the future, they upload photos only to iphoto, and upload video clips directly to iMovie. In the early days of iOS, going through iPhoto was the only way, so it is a habit that I have had to break.
With iOS 5 and 6, iMovie now recognizes the iPhone and the iPad as cameras.
I agree that the Consolidate Media command should bring over iPHoto movies along with the photos. I suggest that you go to iMovie/Provide Feedback and let the developers know that you would like this feature.

How do I split a single event with many clips into multiples events, one event per date?

I archived the video from my AVCHD camera into a Final Cut video archive. Later I imported this into iMovie. All the clips from this archive (spanning several months) are dumped into a single event. If I recall, older versions of iMovie would import video into separate events for each day. Then I would go through and give each event a meaningful name (e.g., "Mary's Birthday").
This is what I would like. Is there a way to split this very long event into multiple events, one for each day that is present in the event?

Not automatically but with imovie 10 you can create new events with any name you like then move clips into them from other events (Just like FCP 10.1). See:

Moving event with mouse in iCal gives me problems on Nokia N96

When I move an item (event) with mouse in iCal, and then iSync to my Nokia N96, I get multiple events in the Nokia Calendar. As if I copy-pasted the item too many times.
The multiple events are on the hours, on which I have dragged around the event.
Somebody having similar issues?

i've been having the same prob as u with my N96 however after i reverted back to factory settings and it's behaving for the time being (touchwood) i've read on posts here that people r having the same prob with their 2nd even 3rd phones so unless u r planning to change ur's for a diff model i'm not sure how helpful replacing the phone will be. I along with many others 'am sure r waiting for the new firmware to come out which hopefully will sort out most of the stability issues. i contacted Nokia and they advised me to wait till the firmware update as well.

HT202297 iCloud calendar unable to set events with reminders that work, despite ignoring the error message

I am using Outlook 2007, Windows 7, updated iCloud Control Panel. 2 office computers and multiple mobile devices are sharing Calendar/Contacts/Tasks. One office computer, and the mobile devices seem to have no issue setting up a new calendar event with a reminder - the reminder goes off as planned, syncs with iCloud, and is picked up by the other office computer and mobile devices.
My office computer can create iCloud calendar events, but when i attempt to set a reminder it gives me the 'The reminder for xxx will not appear because the item is in a folder that doesn't support reminders. Is this OK?' message. The help section on this site states that I can just ignore that, and the reminders will still be set up and work nonetheless. They don't. I also notice that despite being inside the iCloud calendar, as opposed to the local Outlook calendar on my PC, it still gives me the option to 'Move to iCloud,' as if I wasn't creating the event in iCloud. Yet if I set a new reminder, the event sticks, syncs with iCloud and will pop up on other devices. If I click the 'Move to iCloud' option that oddly appears in the created calendar event, it glitches out and crashes outlook. Tried this multiple times, and, oddly enough, one time it rebooted Outlook and seemed to be creating iCloud calendar events with reminders just fine. The 'Move to iCloud' option had disappeared and the reminders would stick. After the next computer restart, I was back to square one and it would no longer accept calendar reminders and the 'Move to iCloud option was back.
The reminder seems to the the only function that doesn't work. I've re-installed iCloud Control Panel, restarted all involved applications and the computer. There seems to be a partial disconnect from the iCloud calendar in my Outlook and the iCloud calendar; some functions work fine and sync, some are glitchy and do not function properly, and it is only this one device out of 2 PCs, an iPhone, and an iPad that has issues.
Any ideas?

Hi Paul,
I don't know about your phone, but on my Droid Pro, there is a little round white button underneath the battery, press that with a stylus, or the tip of a pen, then reassemble the phone and turn it on. That's all there is to it. I didn't have to re-configure anything. Check your user manual for your reset button location, it's probably in the section on troubleshooting.

How to cancel an edit to an iCal event with attendees

I keep running into this--
- Open an existing event with attendees
- Make an edit of some kind
- Change your mind
- Forget what changes you made and/or not wish to let everyone already invited know that iCal is sometimes as crappy as Outlook.
- Only have the options to keep editing or send/update (i.e. send the updates to everyone)

The concensus seems to be that you can't do it.
However this seems to work for me (when I'm desparate):
Quit iCal
Go to the "Library" folder in your home directory, then to the "Calendars" folder (i.e. ~/Library/Calendars)
Delete the files "Calendar Cache~" and "Calendar Cache~" (you don't need to empty your trash)
Reopen iCal. It will resync the calendar.
I've only tried this with Exchange calendar items that have already synced with the server, so your milage may vary. I suppose it's possible that you may lose data this way.
Hope this helps someone since it doesn't seem like Apple is going to fix this anytime soon!

In step 3 above I said delete "Calendar Cache~" twice. I meant: delete "Calendar Cache" and also "Calendar Cache~" if that exists as well.

New event with no sound from iPhone

When I set a new event with an alert from iPhone, on iCal of my iMac (synched via Mobile Me) I always got as alert a "message with no sound". How can I get an alert with sound (on my iMac) when I set a new event from the iPhone?

First of all check the volume buttons....if they are fine
Try and do the basic operations...
- reboot - reset
- if it is still not working then once try restoring it through itunes....it should solve most of the problems...
- if it still exists then it must be a hardware issue...if u r under the warranty period then apple will replace it for sure....

Can I use AWT elements in a JSP, and so could I generate events with them?

This is because I�m doing a simple JSP that showing a button, my JSP is:

There are 2 ways to run a web page dynamically:
1) Reload the page via use of javascript or some other scripting language.
2) Use an applet to regularly check a URL for the data
Remember, as Paul pointed out, JSP's only generate HTML output. AWT components need to run inside a JVM not a just the browser.
I could recommend an applet but you may have problems with IE6 not supporting java. Otherwise there shouldn't be too much of a prob.
If you prefer to use an AWT/Swing setup (for example an application) rather than a JSP setup, Webstart is good for delivering online applications which operate standalone or remotely.
When you consider that the Java-Plugin and the Webstart puligin are about the same size it's just a matter of weighing up who your target clients are and whats easiest.

Raise an event with no arguments

In VB.net I can declare and raise an event like this

I need to work out how to do this in c# however all of the examples of raising events include event handlers. This won't work for me as I am raising this event over a COM interface, and so I can't send eventargs or non basic types through the interface
to the client application.

You asked how to raise an event with no arguments in C# and I gave you the solution for this. You could certainly use an Action to raise an event with no arguments as my sample code clearly demonstrates.

Error -200141 when doing buffered events with DAQmx and PCI-6602

When doing buffered events with DAQmx and PCI-6602 I get error 200141 - Data was overwritten before it could be read by the system.
This error is generated ONLY with random inputs >200/sec.
My setup is :

i'm getting the same Error-200141, while reading semiperiods. (Meas_Buffered semiperiod continous)
while loop ex.rate seems to be pulsewidth*no.Samples to read. in my case PW=60ms
Input buffer size measured with Property node= 10000
why this error happens?? i cant use any mode other than implicit timing for semi-period measurement right??
more info: all the ai channels are used ~ 16 differencial.
i found one solution which is _ reinitializing the whole task if an error occur. is this the right way??

It says iCal will default events with no end time to one hour..and mine used to..but since I upgraded to Lion it doesn't. Any suggestions as to how I can get it to default events to one hour?

My iCal used to default to one hour when I posted an event with a start time and no end time. The user guide says it will default to one hour. Since I started using OS Lion, my calendar doesn't do that. Can anyone suggest a way for me to get the calendar to default to one hour again? Thanks.

Here are some iCal data entry tips from iCal Help:
Enter a name, date, and time duration for the event, and then press Return.
For example, you can enter “Super Bowl Party Feb 5,” “Movie with Rebecca on Friday at 7pm,” “Soccer Game on Saturday from 11am-1pm,” or “Breakfast with Jon,” and then press Return.
If you don’t enter a time duration for the event, iCal sets the event’s duration to 1 hour.
If you don’t enter any time information for the event, iCal makes the event an all-day event.
If you enter “breakfast” or “morning,” iCal sets the event to start at 9 a.m.
If you enter “lunch “ or “noon,” iCal sets the event to start at 12 p.m.
If you enter “dinner” or “night,” iCal sets the event to start at 8 p.m.

Timer event with parameter

Hi guys,
I implemented a BPM with 3 Times inputs and 3 timers. I need to set the TimeDate of the Timer Event with the three inputs. How can I do it? I tried with to create a DataObject with three Time attributes, before the Timer activities I assign the inputs to the data objects and in the Time Date I inserted the Expression with the data object attributes but it doesn't work!
I tried also to insert three string as inputs (instead the Time) and then I insterted a trasformation before the Timer activities but it doesn't work too...

I have a similar issue.
I am doing custom prints of each event in Calendar. I pull from each event the properties I want (time, location, summary, description) and format them nicely for an 8.5" x 11" print. I want to combine this newly created document with other files already attached to the event. However, I have not been able to figure out how to reference this property (or maybe it is considered an element?).
When opening a single Calendar event with textEdit, you can see a line that starts with "ATTACH;FILENAME=", but referencing this line in applescript eludes me.
How do we reference files that are attached to events in Calendar when using applescript?
