Help placing a Bridge slide show in a DW page

I've created a slide show (paintings on an artist's website) using Adobe Bridge. Though I followed the instructions for placing this file in a page created from a template, it interrupts the horizontal navigation bar when viewed in a browser.

If the slideshow works, then it is probably your css margin settings that require increasing. If you are using a table based layout the you will have to either increase the size of the table or convert to a css based layout.

Bridge Slide Show

I see others have indicated the desire to be able to change the screen background colour from grey to complete black in the same many as is possible in the bridge thumbnail display. I would be interested to know if there is any way to achieve this or indeed if Adobe plan to add this facility in near future.

Adobe advised trying bridge/slide show in safe boot. Works in safe boot. Adobe says to check activity monitor in safe boot and regular boot to see what's on causing problem in regular boot. Activity monitor the same in both boots.
I think problem is Adobe but I think they are finished helping.

Bridge Slide Show Blank White screen (NEW)

I get a blank white screen when I hit Apple L.(same when I go to VIEW click slide show) I have reinstalled CS3 3 times. Upgraded driver for Video card. Very thing else works OK. this is driving me crazy. I am using a G 5 Pro,operating system 10.5, 5 gig ram, Radon 9600 video card. Checked all setting nothing helps.Not getting ans. to this question I went in an deleted preferences. Now nothing works. Photoshop seem to work normally.

Need help rotating photo in slide show...buttons aren't highlighted

I'm trying to create a slide show in Photoshop Elements 5.0. For some reason some of the pictures are showing up in my slide show with the wrong orientation. When I click on the picture, the buttons on the right side that allow you to rotate and do more editing won't highlight. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks!

Some questions to hopefully help us understand what is happening -
What is the file format of the files where photo shows in the wrong orientation and the buttons to rotate and edit are not available? - For example - are they jpg or psd or tif ? Are these portrait photos that are shown laying on their side?
Did you add these photos to the slide show from the Organizer or from a Windows folder? Some people have reported that not all functions are available to them when the photo is added to the slide show from a Windows folder.

Newbe requests help with audio for slide-show on Premiere Elements 4.

I recently wrote you regarding a problem I was having with a slide show I was making on Premiere Elements 4 importing photo clips and music from PhotoShop Elements 9. Thank you for your help.
This very large slide show, some 200 clips that I have not resized is completed. I am now having many problems with the music audio I am adding to various sequences of the slide show. Specifically:the audio will not stay fixed on the places where I put it and end it. Working on the Timeline Usually the length of the audio is shorter than the ending of the photo clips where it must go. I click on the audio and stretch it and end it at the place I designate. However, the other end has moved also so now I am left with a gap where there is no audio at the beginning of the segment. Now in addition, the "Delete and Close Gap" does not work most of the time causing me to manually move the photo tiles which sometimes move when this happens. I have to move each one or two individually to the left to close the gap and many times this causes loss of one or two photo tiles or they are out of order or have increase in number (of the one I am moving).
The program has also shut down for the past 10 days causing me to lose a good deal of work and sometimes photo clips and sometimes I get many duplicates of the photo clips. All I do is edit mostly the same two segments doing this over and over because I can't proceed to importing any more music because I can't get the first segments correct. I have chatted with you people, Sony techs, Microsoft Techs and Canon Techs. The Sony techs suggested the program was at fault and I used the original installation disk and repaired the program. It has still shut down on me but not as much.
I got error messages on the photo-cap instructions page you suggessted otherwise I would show pictures of the above problems.
I tried to copy and/or cut and paste from the Timeline thinking I would start a new slide show in PhotoShop Elements 9 using the same photos in reverse. The program would not let me copy or paste. There is great difficulty in highlighting the photo tiles in Timeline because I have to shift click on each individual tile and there are too many tiles and it would take too long to get a whole segment copied. Maybe you know another way to do this?
I am at a stand-still now and I am quite despondent because I have been working on this slide-show for 3 months and it was a surprise for my daughter's 25th anniversary that was last Tuesday.
I do hope you have some good suggestions that will lelt me complete this Project and get it on a disk. I am not that technical so please be specific.

Here's the basic advice I'd give, based on my experience. Much depends, though, on your goals and the specifics of your computer system:
1) Resize all of your photos to no larger than 1000x750 pixels in size. This is VITAL if you want the program to maintain stability as you work. Also render often (by pressing the Enter key). When the render, the red lines above the clips on your timeline will turn green and the program will run much more efficiently.
2) Work on your large slideshow project in shorter segments. You've got over 15 minutes worth of slides. Try working on this slideshow in 5 minute segments, output each segment and then combined the finished videos.
3) Use only WAV audio as your music and audio for your slideshow.
4) When you add video, audio or stills to a parallel track on your timeline, hold down the Ctrl key to override the ripple function and your current clips will remain in place.
5) Maintain your computer by using a tool like the excellent, free, one-click Advanced System Care available at http://www.iobit.com/advancedsystemcareper.html
As for Delete and Close Gap, how it performs depends on whether you've selected Clear or Delete, whether you've pressed the Backspace key or the Delete key and if there is video or audio on a parallel track. (This is all covered in my books, by the way, if you're interested.)
Without knowing the specifics of your project and your situation, it's hard to give out more specific information -- but this advice should get you a long way toward completing your project!

Need Help Adding Music to Slide Show - PS Elements 11

I am using PS Elements 11 to create a slide show. The photos and transitions are complete. But when I try to add music in an mp3 format, the songs are there but the text for the songs does not appear in the bar below the photos in the slide show review mode. All I can see is a fuzzy gray line. I need to see the text for the songs so I can trim and reorder the songs. I have tried to create a new slide show with new music but the music area is also fuzzy. Texts appeared one time but no longer. Please help! Need for Wed.!!!!

Need Help Intergrating a Flash slide show

I'm fairly new with Dreamweaver and was doing fine with
building my site until I got to learning how to "Integrate a Flash
slide show". I purchased Adobes "Classroom in a Book" and it has
been an extreme help but once I got to that chapter of the book it
doesn't work when my site is published. I followed all the
instructions in the book and it looks good and works fine within my
site when I do a test but when I publish it to the web nothing
comes up, it is just a blank spot where the Slideshow is suppose to
be. This is how my code looks, please if anyone can help to see if

First of all, it shouldn't be inside the <noscript> tag

Once you fix that, make sure you upload any dependent
files—i.e. slideshow.swf & any javascript files that may
have been generated by DW.
If it still doesn't work after you've taken those steps, then
post a URL to the page in question. It's virtually impossible for
anyone to help you when they can only see part of your code.

Help with audio from slide show

Used Photoshop Elements 8.0 to create slide show. After adding audio, reviewed show several times with no issue. Then, began having issue of show playing and audio to start with, then audio cuts out and slide show continues. Went ahead and exported to Premiere Elements 8.0 and audio played all the way through in review. Exported to DVD. Plays fine on DVD players, but when I attempt to play on computer, in Windows Media Player, audio( music) plays for a while then cuts out. If I stop and close player, and then open again show picks up where left off, and appropriate music plays, but only for awhile and then cuts out. Am making several copies of this DVD for others to play. Some will use DVD player, some will use computer. Dont' understand. Need help.

Have you tried to play the DVD on a different computer to see if it's your computer or the DVD?
The fact it plays fine on your DVD player makes me think it might be something wrong with your computer.

Help on iWeb or Slide Show

Hi All, Hoping I can get some guidance on a project. My cat died recently and we're creating a history of his life to announce to his family & friends. At first, I created a PowerPoint Presentation using Office Mac 2008. It came out great; 28 slides. One problem, it's 35 MB, so it is too large to attach to an e-mail; whether Yahoo or Gmail.
Next step was to reduce the size of the file, that did not work nor did compression: still too large. Oddly, I've received work PP Presentations far larger as e-mail attachments, but apparently Yahoo & Gmail have a 25MB per file limit.
So, I got the idea to export PPP as a movie. Yeah, hope. Hope dashed as movie large was still 31 MB, and if I go any smaller, no one in their right mind can see it.
So, then I thought to create as slide show in iPhoto, then export as movie. Ultimately, same issues with regard to size.
Now, I'm in iWeb thinking to create a web page to hold the movie or slide show. Well, the iMovie is greater than 10 MB and it won't drag into the iWeb movie page. Yet, I can drag in the slide show, but it appears on a photo page.
So, now I'm in iWeb, with a photo page, with all the slide pics in order. I clicked on the "play slideshow" to see how it would work, but it does not appear to work, unless I double click on one pic and then go each next pic using the "next" icon.
The last step would be to insert the music I had, but when in iWeb, I do "insert" go to "choose" the music list opens right up, pick the song. A new box opens and says "drag pic here." Only one pic will drag in, not all.
1) Is there an easier way to add running music to all the slides?
2) If so, can I time the music to each slide as I was able to do in iPhoto slide show suing "adjustments?"
3) Is there an easier way to simply accomplish what I'm trying to do, as this is getting maddening how you simply cannot post 28 small slides, most are pics.

Big Thanks Guys, it all worked out. I followed QTK when I was initially responding and began to understand how to make it work. I joined Mobile.me and uploaded my QuickTime Movie. Then gave it a trial run both at me.com & as if I was sending the link to others.
Yea! it worked! Old Toad, your additional info is great as I was giving thought to size and how some in the rural areas may not have fast connection speeds. My cuz in Missouri just watched it and said all was good.
What all this has taught me is certainly how to interact both MS Office Power Point ( I have MSOffice for Mac 2008) and iPhoto. I utilized PP to create a base slideshow, adding text to slides, sizing of the pictures, timing the music, etc., as PP appears to allow much more creativity & modifications, font colors, styles, etc. Then Export the PP Presentation as jpegs to a subfolder. Then import those jpegs into iPhoto to create the slideshow. While it was a process over a few days, it was well worth the learning. And, why some may roll their eyes and say "Ovey, he could have done it this simply" I feel empowered learning the long route as I usually can visualize the concept and flow, but sometimes have weaker skills on the computing side.

Can iWeb do an auto-runing slide show embedded on home page?

I want a slide show of photos to start running automatically when the page is loaded. I don't want visitors to have to click anything, and I don't want the slide show to take over the page.

I have tried placing a MobileMe Gallery widget on the page, but when I do this, the little window comes up asking me to select the album to display. I do have a MobileMe account, and I do have albums in the gallery, but the iWeb Gallery widget is not showing any of them.
Can anyone help?

"Slide show" for a web page

Hi all! I have a client who wants me to make a slide show to go on his web page. Up until now, I've been creating animated gifs. But now he wants the slides to fade or dissolve in to one another. I can do this in iMovie. But... the slide show has to be a specific size. I'm not sure in iMovie how to make a specifically sized movie. Plus, I'm not sure of the best way to save it. SWF? I've posted on the iMovie forum, but didn't get any helpful responses. I've looked online for help, but apparently I'm not using the right search criteria. All I find are instructions on making movies to run off of a computer.... not on a web page.
Oh... it also needs to loop continuously. Is this a setting I set in Dreamweaver? Animated gifs are set to loop when I create them in Photoshop. But I couldn't figure out how to do this in iMovie.

Slide show - how to fill page

Hi guys, please may someone explain to me how I fill a page and browser with a slide show? Can I edit the pre-set ones in Muse already available or do I have to create one in Edge Animate please? I am wanting to literally have an image cover the entire screen regardless of what system you are using to open the site. I am working on a 27" Mac monitor so it's hard to judge thanks.

2nd questions - same topic... How do I change the path to retrieve my images - please note that I don't understand code that well thanks. I have tried uploading to dropbox and doing similar code by retrieving the link but it doesn't worl - probably because I haven't a clue lol. How do I make an animated slide show that looks like pages of a scrapbook turning?

I am learning CS6 to make a website for the summer camp I run. On the main page I want a scrapbook that will open and show pictures of the kids having fun... how can I do this??

Take a look at FlippingBook, which is an extremely good application. This is also not Flash based so works in all devices.

You would need to create it as a standalone page and then add an iFrame to the page you want it displayed on to have it inside your web page template.
An easier way and maybe more versatile would be to just have a gallery on your page and animate it with CSS3. This is an example.

Help: Links to Slide Show aren't working

I'm baffled & frustrated.
I've created a "Photo Albums" page which links 23 thumbnails to their album page. All the 23 links work to get you to the album page. But, on (only) 4 of them, the Slide Show button leads to an error page instead of to the slide show. The error page says:
Safari can’t open the specified address.
Safari can’t open “paris:%20Day%20in%20Senlis%20&%20Chantilly_files/slideshow.html” because Mac OS X doesn’t recognize Internet addresses starting with “paris:”.
(Each of the 4 error pages is slightly different.)

The 4 which don't work are:

I've tried re-doing these 4 thumbnails on the iWeb page, to no avail. Can anyone help me figure this out?

My problem was caused by changing page titles in the site organizer. I had read here in the forums that spaces, odd characters, etc could cause problems in some browsers when published so I removed all caps, spaces, etc. After those changes anything that was cached with the old titles wouldn't go to the new pages. There may be no connection to your problem. Have you tried publishing to a folder on your own computer to see if the problem is there also? If the problem is still there if you publish to a folder, you could do some experimenting without affecting your published site.
Here's something you could try:
Duplicate your "Domain" file and store it in a safe place. You can then play around with the duplicate without affecting the original. Build a new photo page with some of those same photos. Publish to a folder on your hard drive and open it with Safari. You may be able to isolate the problem this way without affecting your published site or your original "Domain" file. Once you figure it out you can make the changes to your original "Domain" file and then publish.

Can anyone help with saving a slide show in created in Elements to a file on my laptop? I know a WMV file is created, which option should I select to save in UK widescreen format 16:9?

I am ultimately going to write the file to a DVD using Windows DVD Maker. Is the 16:9 format the DVD-PAL 720x576 option, or the High 1024x768 option?
