Hi friends,
I installed JDK 1.4 on Windows, do I need to set up classpath after installation? How to do it?
What if I install JDK on Linux? How to set the classpath?
This puzzles me a lot, any response will be greatly appreiated!

Use Internet Recovery. You shouldn't need an AppleID. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4718
Internet Recovery will install the OS that shipped with the Mac. You can then upgrade to Mavericks if that was not it.
Do you have an App Store account? Did you ever use it to install the OS?

I created a photo album on my iPhone 4s - edited photos etc. but I cannot figure out how to transfer it to my pc (using Windows 8). The only folder in the iphone drive is the one which has the Camera roll photos :( Help please - I really need the photos!

The camera roll is not part of the sync process at all.
You should be importing these photos to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera. Youc an organize them on your computer and sync the to the iphone if you wish.
The photos sync from the computer to the iphone is one way.
The iphone mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced.

Need Urgent help please? I need to restore from a previous iphone backup.

Oops, I admit it - I messed up but need help please?? I received a replacement iphone today. My broken iphone OS and my itunes had the latest software updates and I did a full backup before going to the store to get the rerplacement. However, when I got home with the replacement iphone and plugged it in, it asked if I wanted to update the OS on it. I made the mistake of saying yes. It then made a backup of the empty factory settings from the new replacement and restored from that rahter than the backup I made before going to the store. Yes I know I should have said no and just did the restore which would have resotred my previous backup that I made before going to the store. Then after everything would be allright I could have told it to update the OS.
You can slap my in the face or I will do it myslef for making such a stupid mistake. All ready did the "I should have had a V" thing to my forehead.
After seeing the restore was fromthe factory settings rather than my earlier good backup, I went into my documents and drilled down to the mobile sync backup and saw that one of the three folders (with giberish as a title) has a lot of information with the date and time I did the backup before going to the store.
Could I possibly delete the later (factory setting backup) folder and then do a restore to get my good backup onto the iphone? I didn't do that yet in fear that it might mess something else up on the iphone and I wanted to check with you experts here first for guidance and assistance, PLEASE?
I'll be anxiously awaiting any help you can give!

Well I did the resotre from 3 times and that page still comes up when I plug in the iphone. Yes, I did close itunes, reboot the PC, and powered off the iphone and then brouhgt it back up before connecting (all several times), but itunes still takes me to the same "setup iphone screen".
Can you help me to get it to the standard iphone screen and there I will make sure the selected items are checked and do a sync.
Please know I do appreicate your kind assistance so far and hope someone can get me the rest of the way!
The "Backup" do not store your Applications, Music, Video's. It saves your settings, your application preferences, etc.

Help please. How do I set up a dray tek v120 with apple TC?

Could someone please help me, as this is driving me mad.
I have purchased a Dray Tek vigor v120 modem, and want to set it up to use with my TC (version 7 2TB) I have been using a BT home hub3 with the TC, and works fine, minimal setup. Now I want to use the Dray Tek in place of the HH3, so I can use my TC as my main router. Now problem I'm having is with the v6 airport utility. Following the steps from the Dray Tek website, it uses the V5 Airport utility to walk you through, but I cannot do any of this with the v6?
How do I reset the TC, how do I manually. Setup in this wretched v6 airport utility.?
The old version is straight forward, but in v6 I cannot find any way of doing this.
Can anybody help?

The only thing you have to do with the TC is setup PPPoE client. That is no problem. It may work automagically via the wizard but if not it is easy to fix up.
Do the first step from draytek instructions..
Set up the Vigor 120 modem so that it is turned on and plugged into the ADSL line, do not plug it into a PC or router yet.Wait until the DSL light stops flashing and goes solid, that indicates that it is ready to pass through the ADSL connection to your router. The modem is pre-configured for standard UK ADSL connections so will not need any further setup for an ADSL connection with the settings listed above.
Now plug the WAN of the TC into the 120.
In the airport utility click on the "Other wifi devices" in the top left corner.. it should have a (1) on the end to indicate a new device needs to be configured. If not reset the TC and start afresh.
Run through the setup wizard. I always recommend people change the apple names proposed for names that are short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric but up to you.
The wizard might well detect you are on adsl and will bring up the pppoe screen and you type in your username and password exactly as you would in the draytek instructions.
Finish the wizard without other changes.
Did it detect pppoe?? If not you can now edit it.
Click on the TC in the airport utility. Then click on the edit.. this is same as the manual setup in v5 utility.
Go to the Internet tab and click on the connect using there.
Select pppoe.
That will open a bunch of different options where you can type in username and password as supplied by your ISP.
If you run into issues.. please do screenshots of where you have problems.
Edit.. I always should add at the top but end up thinking of last.
Apple do not automatically setup the wireless in the computer correctly. Generally ipv6 will default to auto. For Time Capsule or any airport setup this might be ok.. but it is better to ensure it is correctly set to link-local.
Open your network preferences and fix the ipv6. It should look like this.

Help please! I need code for a button to stop a movieclip, when both are in a nested animation.

I'm working on a project that has a button and a movieclip, which we want the button to stop, both nested in a movieclip on the main timeline.
The button instance = muteBtn
The clip to stop instance = backmusic
The movieclip they are nested in = ecard
There's also a preloader that works just fine on the main timeline.
I've seen a wide variety of ways to stop a streaming MP3 and they all look way too complicated for my current Flash knowledge level. As far as I know, if the MP3 is in a movieclip, stopping that clip will also stop the MP3. If that's just dead wrong and what I'm trying to do will never work, please just let me know so I can struggle in another direction.
What I'd prefer though would be the coding to make this button work. I've tried a wide variety of ways to code something that seems like it should be so simple, and keep getting the error "Access of undefined property muteBtn". I'm assuming this means it can't find the muteBtn in the nested layer. How do I better define the muteBtn? Do I then need to add something else that more clearly defines where the clip I want it to stop is since it is nested too? PLEASE HELP ME!! Thank you in advance!

When you target objects, you need to consider the path to the object based on where you are trying to target from. So if your code is in the main timeline and your button is inside a movieclip, then you need to target the button via the movieclip...

As far as stopping a moiveclip resulting in stopping a sound from playing, it is not likely to work. To stop a sound you need to target the sound to stop it.

The following does exactly what I need, EXCEPT, I need the single pages as Acrobat 4.0 x1a 1.3 PDFs. Every time I run this it changes my 1.3 PDFs to 1.6! Your help is truly appreciated!

After you extract the pages, you should be able to use Batch Processing or Actions in Acrobat Professional to optimize the PDFs and set various file properties. You cannot call the optimization process in script or IAC, it can only be user run.

Help please with restoring iphone factory setting

hey can someone help me please? i did "restore" to factory setting on itunes for my i phone and now after it reboot it has the icon of usb and itunes icon on screen and the only other option it lets me do is emergency call, what do i do?

Connect your iPhone to iTunes and perform the restore again. DO NOT unplug it until it is completely done and it's on.
If iTunes cannot recognize the iPhone, force your iPhone into recovery mode and try to do the restore from there. To do this, turn it off. then, press and hold the home button. Keeping it held, plug your iPhone into iTunes via the USB cable. Keep holding down the home button until the screen showing a USB cable and an iTunes icon. Then, iTunes will recognize your iPhone, and you can do a restore.
Again, do not unplug your iPhone until iTunes says it's done restoring. It will reboot your iPhone a couple of times before it's done.

Help please! I need advice on activating BT Sport...

I recently had a call from BT following a complaint that I made. The Scottish lady who rang was brilliant and after getting advice here on a thread I started, I sent BT my compliments to her for fantastic service.
Having sorted out my complaint, she then asked did I want to activate BT Sport on my Sky box. I did and she talked me through what to do. It involved taking out the Sky card and making a note of a certain number. I put the Sky card back in the box & she talked me through the stages of finding a screen on which I had to enter the number from the Sky card.
Seconds later, BT Sport on my Sky box was activated. Magic!
BT has just sent a new hub to a friend of mine, a BT Broadband customer. She doesn't know what she did with the paperwork that came with it - she's connected it in place of the old hub but she doesn't know how to activate BT Sport on her Sky Box.
Can someone point me in the right direction, please, so that I can help her?

I'm sure there are various ways to do this, but here's what I would do:
. Using whatever recording software you have e.g. MediaSource, you would need to connect a microphone to the soundcard and record the text you want to add to the CD.
2. If you want, edit the text so that it contains all that you need. This depends on the final quality of the file and whether it's got mistakes in it etc. The soundcard you have might have some editing software with it, but if it doesn't you can download and install the excellent freeware http://audacity.sourceforge.net/.
3. Then you need to compile the tracks on the CD for writing, so you would add each track to whatever CD software you use and add the text you've recorded as tracks before the relevant song.
I appreciate this is a bit general, but being specific is hard without knowing what software you have.

Help please !! Need to insert date automatically in form

I have been trying unsuccessfully for a week to automatically
capture today's date on a form. I can display a date on screen but
it will not insert date into mySQL db. All other information is
inserted as expected.
Am I just whistling in dark? Is there no way to eliminate
user input for the order date field?
I have looked throughout the forums and no luck.
Anyone have any ideas about how to do?

You can use a timestamp function within your MySQL table, but
remember you can only use the timestamp function ONCE in a table.
Using the timestamp Function:
Set the field type to TIMESTAMP. You can also set the default
to CURRENT_TIMESTAMP and the attributes to ON UPDATE
CURRENT_TIMESTAMP if you want the timestamp to change when the
record is updated.
If you want to record times more than the one time you are
using the timestamp and you are using PHP/MySQL or PHP/MySQL ADODB
(InterAKT's PhAKT Extension), then try this:

want to do is to have it display the time the way you want it. The
